Description

[0001] Rope drum gel joint for a hoist

[0002] The invention relates to a cable drum joint connection for a hoist, in which a cable drum is connected to a gear of a drive via the cable drum joint connection, having a gear-side joint part comprising a first coupling section and a cable drum-side joint part comprising a second coupling section, wherein in the installed position of the joint parts, the first and second coupling sections are designed and arranged to provide an operative connection between the joint parts for transmitting radial forces and torques.

[0003] Such rope drum joints are used in hoists, particularly in crane hoists, to transmit specified radial forces and torques. Rope drum joints of this type are disclosed, for example, in published patent application DE 30 07 319 A1 and patent application DE 10 2006 022 782 B3. These rope drum joints are expediently designed to compensate for misalignment during operation, i.e., an angular misalignment between the joint parts, even when large torques are to be transmitted, and also to provide good distribution of the radial load and thus a long service life, whereby relevant safety specifications for bending stress and radial peak loads must be observed. However, due to the high operating forces that occur, wear of the interacting joint parts of such a rope drum joint connection is hardly avoidable during operation, so that the wear on the rope drum joint connection must be checked at regular intervals or permanently and, if necessary, appropriate measures must be taken and, if necessary, the entire rope drum joint connection may have to be replaced.Such a replacement of the rope drum joint connection is not up to date in view of the current fundamental effort to conserve resources, so that there is a general need to place a greater focus on conserving resources, particularly with regard to the use of raw materials and energy, even when servicing conventional rope drum joint connections, and also to reduce the overall effort required to manufacture and operate such a rope drum joint connection, for example by making it more cost-effective.

[0004] Starting from the described prior art, the present invention is based on the technical problem of at least partially avoiding the described disadvantages of the prior art.

[0005] In terms of the device, this object is achieved by a cable drum joint connection with the features of claim 1. The cable drum joint connection according to the invention is designed for use in a hoist in which a cable drum is connected to a gearbox of a drive via a cable drum joint connection, the cable drum joint connection having a gearbox-side joint part comprising a first coupling section and a cable drum-side joint part comprising a second coupling section, and in the installed position of the joint parts, first and second coupling sections are designed and arranged to provide an operative connection between the joint parts for transmitting radial forces and torques. The cable drum joint connection according to the invention is characterized in that the gearbox-side joint part has a plurality of joints which are spaced apart or arranged relative to an axis.adjacent first coupling sections, which can each be brought into an operative connection with one another by an associated relative arrangement change of the gear-side and the cable drum-side joint part.

[0006] The cable drum joint connection according to the invention is based on the idea of providing a plurality of identical first coupling sections on at least one joint part of the joint connection, in particular the joint part that represents the largest component of the cable drum joint connection, which can be brought into a respective operative connection with a second coupling section of the further joint part that is adapted thereto and acts in a particularly complementary manner, so that when wear occurs between the coupling sections of the joint parts that are in operative connection, another coupling section that is in particular functionally and structurally identical can be selected on the said joint part and brought into operative connection with the coupling section of the other joint part. The functional and structural identity of these identical first coupling sections can generally be...by an associated relative change in the arrangement of the gearbox-side and the cable drum-side joint part, e.g. by a translational and / or rotational movement of one joint part relative to the other joint part. This means that this joint part, comprising a plurality of similar coupling sections, does not have to be replaced when a predetermined level of wear occurs, but can instead be brought into a further operative connection between another of the first coupling sections and the second coupling section of the other joint part by a relative change in the arrangement of the gearbox-side joint part to the cable drum-side joint part.

[0007] Additional advantageous features and developments of the invention are specified in the following general description, the accompanying figures, the description of the figures and the further patent claims.

[0008] Advantageously, the plurality of first coupling sections of the gear-side joint part, which can be arranged successively or spaced apart on the gear-side joint part with respect to an axis, can be of identical design and can each be designed in cooperation with the second coupling section of the cable drum-side joint part to produce an identical operative connection with substantially identical torque and radial force transmission. This ensures that, regardless of the choice of the first coupling section on the gearbox-side joint part for creating an operative connection with the second coupling section of the rope drum-side joint part, the same operative connection is always provided, so that when the first coupling section on the gearbox-side joint part is changed to create an operative connection with the rope drum-side joint part, the rope drum joint connection behaves in a functionally identical manner.

[0009] Preferably, the transmission-side joint part has the plurality of axially spaced first coupling sections on an outer circumferential surface, and the cable drum-side joint part comprises a receptacle having an inner circumferential surface for forming the second coupling section. With such a design, the transmission-side joint part can be designed as a hub, and the cable drum-side joint part can be designed as a housing receiving the hub. The hub can preferably be designed as a hollow, cylindrical hub for receiving a transmission shaft of the drive of a hoist.

[0010] Depending on the embodiment, the gear-side joint part can have more than two axially spaced-apart first coupling sections for reusing the gear-side joint part in the cable drum joint connection according to the invention. The gear-side joint part can particularly expediently have exactly two axially adjacent or spaced-apart first coupling sections, which can be arranged, for example, on opposite axial end sections of the gear-side joint part. Such a design measure is particularly expedient when designing the gear-side joint part as a hub, wherein the two axially spaced-apart or adjacent first coupling sections can be arranged on opposite axial end sections of the hub.

[0011] In order to provide first coupling sections that are of similar design on the gearbox-side joint part, it can expediently be provided that the gearbox-side joint part is mirror-symmetrical in a plane perpendicular to the axis. This applies in particular to an embodiment in which the gearbox-side joint part is designed as a hub, so that when the first coupling section of the hub is changed to set an operative connection with the second coupling section of the housing accommodating the hub, the hub is rotated through an angle of 180° with respect to an axis of rotation that is perpendicular to the axis of the hub, so that the other of the two first coupling sections can be brought into operative connection with the second coupling section of the coupling housing. Preferably, the said plane of mirror symmetry can lie on the longitudinal center of the hub.

[0012] In another embodiment, it can also be provided that the two first coupling sections arranged axially adjacent or spaced apart on the joint part can be transferred into a mutual arrangement with the second coupling section of the second joint part by means of a simple translational movement. In this embodiment, the first coupling sections of the transmission-side joint part can be structurally identical, and the mirror symmetry described above can be absent.

[0013] Depending on the embodiment, the coupling sections assigned to one another and designed to form an operative connection can be designed and arranged to engage directly with one another in the installed position of the gear-side joint part and the cable drum-side joint part, so that no additional components are necessary at the coupling or force transmission point of the cable drum joint connection according to the invention.

[0014] In a particularly expedient embodiment, however, it can be provided that, to provide the operative connection between the gearbox-side joint part and the cable drum-side joint part, force transmission elements, in particular in the form of barrel rollers, are arranged between one of the first coupling sections of the gearbox-side joint part and the second coupling section of the cable drum-side joint part. In such an embodiment, the first and second coupling sections can, for example, have semicircular toothings with a plurality of semicircular receptacles serving as bearing surfaces for the force transmission elements, in which the force transmission elements or the barrel rollers are inserted so as to be longitudinally displaceable.

[0015] In this embodiment, the gear-side joint part designed as a hub can have a plurality of, in particular axially adjacent or axially spaced, semicircular toothings on its outer surface to form the semicircular receptacles serving as a bearing surface for the power transmission elements. By using barrel-shaped power transmission elements, in this embodiment of the cable drum joint connection according to the invention, alignment errors between the joint parts can be compensated for, even when large torques are to be transmitted, wherein it is easy to assemble and optimal distribution of the radial load is ensured by a large contact surface for the power transmission elements orBarrel rollers, accompanied by a long service life of the cable drum joint connection according to the invention, which is furthermore designed for reuse with regard to the gear-side joint part due to the possibility of using a plurality of first coupling sections for setting a respective operative connection between the two joint parts. In a particularly expedient embodiment, it can be provided that in order to provide the operative connection between the gear-side joint part and the cable drum-side joint part, no individual force transmission elements are arranged between the first coupling section and the second coupling section.Instead, the coupling section of one of the joint parts can have a barrel circular toothing with barrel teeth formed integrally thereon, and the other joint part can have a barrel circular toothing receptacle formed complementarily thereto, so that in this embodiment of the cable drum joint connection designed according to the invention, the above-mentioned force transmission elements can be dispensed with and at the same time the described advantages when using barrel rollers as force transmission elements can be provided. In this embodiment, a gearbox-side joint part designed as a hub with a plurality of first coupling sections, in particular two first coupling sections, can have a plurality of, in particular two axially spaced barrel circular toothings or a plurality of, in particular two axially spaced barrel circular toothing receptacles.

[0016] As already explained above, the gearbox-side joint part of the cable drum joint connection according to the invention can be designed as a hub and the cable drum-side joint part as a housing receiving the hub. The hub can expediently be designed as a hollow hub for receiving a gearbox output shaft. Since, when changing from one of the first coupling sections of the gearbox-side joint part to another first coupling section of the gearbox-side joint part, it is generally expedient or necessary to release the gearbox output shaft-hub connection in order to produce an operative connection with the second coupling section of the cable drum-side joint part, this connection should be designed to be as easy to produce and detach as possible.Preferably, therefore, the hollow hub can be provided with internal surface toothing to provide a shaft-hub connection in the form of a spline (plug-in spline) with the transmission output shaft formed with external surface toothing. Depending on the design, this spline can be designed, for example, as a spline with involute flanks, as a spline with splined flanks, or as a spline with serrated flanks.

[0017] In embodiments in which the hub is designed as a hollow cylindrical hub, a clamping set can be provided, for example, for the frictional and easily detachable coupling of the hub and a transmission output shaft received by the hub. In this embodiment, the hub can be designed purely cylindrical on its inner surface in the coupling section, and the transmission output shaft can also be designed purely cylindrical on its outer surface, with the clamping set being arranged radially between the hub and the transmission output shaft.

[0018] In a further embodiment, the hub can be designed as a hollow cylindrical hub for receiving a cylindrical transmission output shaft and is slotted along its longitudinal extent. The slotted hub can also have a corresponding fit for shrinking onto the transmission output shaft and is clamped onto the shaft due to its own springy restoring force. For disassembly, the hub can be easily pressed open using pressure screws perpendicular to the direction of the slot, a driving wedge in the slot, or a hydraulic pressure cylinder in a receptacle on the outer diameter to press open the slot.

[0019] In terms of the method, the present invention solves the above-mentioned technical problem by a method for maintaining a cable drum joint connection, which is designed according to one of claims 1 to 8, and in which the force transmission point or operative connection between one of the first coupling sections of the gear-side joint part and the second coupling section of the cable drum-side joint part has a predetermined wear, i.e. the operatively connected first and second coupling sections have wear in such a way that predetermined technical dimensional conditions no longer exist. The method according to the invention comprises the steps:

[0020] Disconnecting the worn operative connection or force transmission point between one of the first coupling sections of the gearbox-side joint part and the second coupling section of the cable drum-side joint part;

[0021] Replacing the rope drum-side joint part with a worn second coupling section with a rope drum-side joint part with an unworn second coupling section;

[0022] Producing an operative connection or force transmission point between the cable drum-side joint part with an unworn second coupling section and the gearbox-side joint part, in which at least one of the first coupling sections is worn, such that an operative connection or force transmission point is produced between the second coupling section of the cable drum-side joint part and an unworn first coupling section of the gearbox-side joint part.

[0023] In embodiments in which the gear-side joint part is designed as a hub and the cable drum-side joint part is designed as a housing for receiving the hub, the method according to the invention can be carried out by replacing the housing of the cable drum joint connection according to the invention and then by adjusting the operative connection of the second coupling section of the new coupling housing with an unworn first coupling section of the non-replaced coupling hub.

[0024] In such embodiments in which force transmission elements, in particular barrel rollers, are used between a first coupling section of the gearbox-side joint part and the second coupling section of the cable drum-side joint part to set an operative connection or force transmission point between the two joint parts, during maintenance of the cable drum joint connection carried out according to the invention, it can also be provided to replace not only the cable drum-side joint part, in particular not only the coupling housing, but also the force transmission elements, such as the barrel rollers.

[0025] The invention will be explained below by describing an embodiment with reference to the accompanying figures, in which

[0026] Figure 1: a rope drum joint connection designed according to the invention in a perspective view and

[0027] Figure 2: shows the cable drum joint connection according to the invention of Figure 1 in an exploded view.

[0028] As an exemplary and particularly advantageous cable drum joint connection according to the invention for a hoist, a barrel coupling 1 is explained below, along with modifications, as is particularly suitable for crane hoists in which a cable drum is connected to a drive gear via the cable drum joint connection. Such a hoist, not shown in the figures, comprises a motor, preferably an electric motor, followed by a reduction gear, wherein a cable drum connected to the motor is driven via the reduction gear.

[0029] The barrel coupling 1 shown in Figure 1 can be arranged between the reduction gear and the cable drum. This coupling transmits the torque from the reduction gear to the cable drum and simultaneously absorbs radial loads. A particular advantage of such a barrel coupling 1 is its ability to accommodate angular displacements of the axis of the cable drum and the gear output, as well as its ability to absorb axial displacements.

[0030] The barrel coupling 1 according to the invention in Figure 1 has a coupling hub 2 with a hub receptacle 20 for receiving the transmission output side shaft (not shown in the figure), wherein keyways 21 can be provided for the positive fixing of the shaft in the hub for partially receiving a key extending in partial sections both into the hub and into the received shaft.

[0031] In the described embodiment, the coupling hub 2 has two coupling sections Kl.1, Kl.2 spaced apart in the axial direction of the hub. In the illustration in Fig. 1, only the first coupling section Kl.1 is visible, since the second coupling section Kl.2 is concealed by the cable drum-side joint part, which is designed here as a coupling housing 4, for setting an operative connection or force transmission between the coupling hub 2 and the coupling housing 4.

[0032] On the cable drum side, the coupling housing 4 has a connecting flange 40 which comprises a plurality of circumferentially spaced screw holes 41 for fastening to an associated connecting flange of the cable drum (not shown).

[0033] Figure 2 shows the barrel coupling 1 according to the invention of Figure 1 in an exploded view, ie with the operative connection of the coupling sections Kl.1, K2 of the coupling hub 2 and the coupling housing 4 dissolved.

[0034] The barrel coupling 1 according to the invention has a coupling hub 2 which, in the described

[0035] This embodiment comprises two first coupling sections Kl.1, Kl.2 on its outer surface, wherein these first coupling sections Kl.1, Kl.2 are mirror-symmetrical to one another in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the hub. This mirror plane can be located in the longitudinal center of the coupling hub 2.

[0036] The first coupling sections Kl.l, Kl.2 comprise circumferentially successive receiving recesses 22.1, 22.2 with external toothings 23.1, 23.2 delimiting these. For coupling the coupling hub 2 to the coupling housing 4, the latter has an individual second coupling section K2 which extends axially like the first coupling sections of the hub and is designed and configured to interact with one of the two first coupling sections Kl.l, Kl.2 of the coupling hub 2.

[0037] The clutch housing 4 has, on its inner surface, circumferentially successive receiving troughs 42 which are separated by associated internal toothings 43 of the clutch housing 4. As can be seen from Figure 2, in order to set an operative connection or a power transmission between the clutch hub 2 and the clutch housing 4, barrel rollers 6 are provided which are arranged on a pitch circle and are mounted in the rows of receiving troughs 22. 2 and 42. On the clutch hub 2, the receiving troughs 22. 2 are formed on an external toothing 23. 2, while on the clutch housing 4, the receiving troughs 42 are formed on the internal toothing 43. For clarity of illustration, some of the barrel rollers 6 have been removed in Figure 2.

[0038] As already explained, in the arrangement of the barrel coupling 1 according to the invention shown in the figure, the first coupling section K1 . 2 of the coupling hub 2 is brought into operative connection with the second coupling section K2 of the coupling housing 4 by appropriately aligning the hub 2 and the housing 4 to one another and introducing the barrel rollers 6 so that they come to rest in the receiving recesses 22 . 2 of the coupling hub 2 and the receiving recesses 42 of the coupling housing 4.

[0039] Due to the described mirror symmetry, the barrel coupling 1 according to the invention is designed in such a way that by rotating the coupling hub 2 about an axis of rotation which runs perpendicular to the axis of the coupling 1, the other first coupling section K1 . 1 of the coupling hub 2 is arranged to set an operative connection with the second coupling section K2 of the coupling housing 4 via the described arrangement of the barrel rollers 6 in the arranged receiving recesses 22 . 1 , 42 .

[0040] A thrust ring 7 and a retaining ring 8, which can be designed as a multi-disk retaining ring, are provided for axially securing the barrel rollers 6 on the clutch hub 2. An outer cover 9 can be provided on the gearbox side as a closure. When assembled, this outer cover rests against the gearbox-side end face of the clutch housing 4 and can be attached thereto by means of screw connections.

[0041] On the cable drum side, an O-ring (not shown) can be provided as a seal between the coupling hub 2 and the coupling housing 4. In the assembled state of the components of the barrel coupling 1 according to the invention shown in Figure 2, the pressure ring 7 engages in a respective groove 24. 1 or 24. 2 of the coupling hub 2, depending on which of the two first coupling sections Kl. 1, Kl. 2 is operatively connected to the coupling housing 4.

[0042] The inventive design of the described barrel coupling 1 enables resource-saving maintenance of the barrel coupling 1, since at least the coupling hub 2 in the described embodiment can be used twice and, depending on wear, only the coupling housing 4 together with the barrel rollers 6, as well as, if necessary, the seals and the pressure ring 7, need be replaced, so that at least the largest component of the barrel coupling 1 can be reused.
