Description

TITLE: SET OF PAIR OF GLASSES EQUIPPED WITH A FIRST AND A SECOND HINGES WITHOUT SCREWS TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to the field of pairs of glasses and particularly pairs of glasses provided with screwless hinges. TECHNOLOGICAL BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] Conventionally, a pair of glasses comprises a frame, a first and second arm and a first and second hinge each arranged between the frame and the first and second arm respectively. The first and second hinges are called "screwless hinges" and each comprise a female block and a block which cooperate poorly with each other to allow: - the translation of the first and second branches relative to the frame between a disassembled position and a mounted position, and - rotation, in the mounted position, between a closed position and an open position.

[0003] This type of hinge allows the operations of disassembly and assembly of the first and second branches of glasses to be carried out in relation to the frame of the pair of glasses by simple translation of the male block in relation to the female block of the first and second hinges.

[0004] However, in the case of a pair of glasses with a screwless hinge intended for young users, the operations of disassembling and assembling the first and second temples of the glasses in relation to the frame can be carried out easily by young users. Consequently, a significant repetition of the operations of disassembling and assembling the temples of the pair of glasses can cause the loss of a temple or the frame or even damage to the hinges and require changing the temples and / or the frame of the pair of glasses. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0005] The invention provides a solution to the problems mentioned above, by proposing a set of glasses provided with a first and a second hinge having a particular geometry.

[0006] A first aspect of the invention relates to a set of glasses comprising: - a mount comprising a frame having a first and second openings for holding respectively a first and a second optical lens, - a first and second branch each extending between a connecting edge and a distal end and movable relative to the mount: o in translation in a vertical direction between a mounting position and a mounted position, o in rotation in a horizontal direction in the mounted position, between an unlocked position and an open position passing through an intermediate position, - a first and a second hinge each comprising a female block and a male block, each arranged between the frame and respectively the first and second branches, each female block comprising an insertion opening.

[0007] In the mounting position of one of the first and second branches, the first or second branch passes respectively through the second or first opening of the mount, and the male block passes through the insertion opening of the female block of one of the first and second hinges.

[0008] In the intermediate position of one of the first and second branches, the distal end of the first or second branch is located respectively in the second or first opening of the mount, and the first or second branch is locked in translation in the mounted position by a locking stop arranged at the level of the insertion opening of the female block of one of the first and second hinges.

[0009] The presence of a locking stop for the female block of the first and second hinges makes it possible to impose the positioning of the temple in the opposite opening of the frame during the operations of mounting and dismounting this temple, and thus allows the locking of the first and second temples relative to the frame when the lenses are mounted, in a translationally mounted position, and between an intermediate position and an open rotational position. Such a geometry of the first and second hinges makes it possible to avoid any involuntary operation of dismounting the temples relative to the frame and thus greatly limit damage to the pair of glasses.

[0010] The fact of realizing the vertical movement of the branch when it includes a part crossing the opening, allows to have a guided hinge axis not completely open on the side of an internal face towards the nose of the user in operation (from closing to opening of the branch) by the blocking stop, improving the solidity of the hinge. The hinge (male and female block) can have plastic walls, which can even have sections of a thickness sufficiently low to be flexible (manually), which connect the frame and the branches to hold them together and allow opening and closing. In other words, having this vertical movement allows to have a blocking stop which makes it possible to reduce the thicknesses of the hinges and to avoid metal hinges having an additional manufacturing cost.

[0011] The male and female block are mounted freely (unlocked) in each other, from the mounting position to the mounted position at least in the unlocked position, i.e. without elastic or plastic deformation, or lockable interlocking of each block. The assembly tolerance clearance can for example be between 0.05 and 0.15mm. This makes assembly easier but also makes it possible to change a branch without damaging the branch or the frame unlike any locked interlocking solution (by plastic or elastic deformation).

[0012] Advantageously, the set of pair of glasses is according to which: - each female block of the first and second hinges comprises: o a rotation channel extending in a vertical direction, open laterally on an internal face of the frame or of one of the first and second branches, in the open position, in vis- opposite the other of the first and second hinges, and divided into two portions: 1. a locking portion comprising the insertion opening, and 2. a portion of free pivoting, o a receiving housing opening into the rotation channel, at the level of the portion of free pivoting, and open on the internal face of the mount or of one of the first and second branches and on a connecting edge of the mount or of one of the first and second branches. - each male block of the first and second hinges comprises: o a vertical rotation axis received in the rotation channel of each female block, and o a connecting arm extending from the edge of the mount or one of the first or second branches respectively to the rotation axis and received in the receiving housing of each female block.

[0013] Such a geometry of the first and second hinges allows the translational and rotational mobility of the first and second branches relative to the frame by the cooperation of each male block with a female block.

[0014] According to one example, the locking stop reduces the lateral opening of the rotation channel on an inner face in the locking portion such that each straight line passing through the rotation axis and this lateral opening portion passes into the holding opening.

[0015] Preferably, the frame comprises a first and a second connecting section each extending on either side of the frame in a horizontal direction, each of the first and second connecting sections comprising: - an internal face arranged opposite the internal face of the other connecting section, - an external face opposite the internal face in the horizontal direction, - the connecting edge connecting the internal face to the external face, and - the female block or the male block of the first and second hinges extending to the connecting edge.

[0016] Advantageously, each of the first and second branches comprises: - an internal face arranged, in the open position, opposite the internal face of the other of the first and second branches, - an external face opposite the internal face, - the connecting edge connecting the internal face to the external face, and - the female block or the male block of the first and second hinges extending to the connecting edge.

[0017] Preferably, the rotation channel of the female block of the first and second hinges comprises a blind hole receiving an end portion of the rotation axis of the male block of the first and second hinges.

[0018] According to a first embodiment of the set of pair of glasses: - the first and second connecting sections of the mount respectively comprise the female block of the first hinge and the female block of the second hinge, and - the first and second branches respectively comprise the male block of the first hinge and the male block of the second hinge.

[0019] According to a second embodiment of the set of pair of glasses: - the first and second connecting sections of the mount respectively comprise the male block of the first hinge and the male block of the second hinge, and - the first and second branches respectively comprise the female block of the first hinge and the female block of the second hinge.

[0020] A second aspect of the invention relates to a pair of glasses comprising: the set of pair of glasses according to the first aspect of the invention, - a first and a second optical lens each mounted respectively in the first and second openings of the frame.

[0021] The first and second branches are movable between the open position and a closed position and are locked in translation in the mounted position by a locking stop arranged at the insertion opening of the female block of the first and second hinges.

[0022] A third aspect of the invention relates to a method of mounting the first or second branch of a set of glasses according to the first aspect of the invention comprising the following successive steps: - passage of the first or second branch through the second or first opening, - alignment of the male block with the insertion opening of the female block of the first or second hinge, and - insertion of the male block inside the female block by translation from the mounting position to the mounted position.

[0023] Advantageously, the method according to the third aspect of the invention is according to which: - the alignment step corresponds to aligning the connecting arm of the male block with the insertion opening of the female block, and - the insertion step corresponds to the insertion of the rotation axis of the male block inside the rotation channel of the female block.

[0024] A fourth aspect of the invention relates to a method for mounting the pair of glasses according to the second aspect of the invention comprising the mounting steps according to the third aspect of the invention and which comprises, after the insertion step, a step of locking the first or second branch previously in the mounted position comprising the following sub-steps: rotation of the first or second branch relative to the frame to a position between the intermediate position and the open position, and - fitting the second or first optical glass into, respectively, the second or first opening previously crossed by, respectively, the first or second branch.

[0025] A fifth aspect of the invention relates to a method of dismantling the pair of glasses according to the second aspect of the invention comprising the following successive steps: - removal of the second or first optical glass from the second or first aperture of the frame, - moving the first or second branch to the unlocked position, - translation of the male block in the vertical direction from the mounted position to the mounting position until the male block is removed from inside the female block in a disassembled position.

[0026] The invention and its various applications will be better understood by reading the following description and examining the accompanying figures. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES
