AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

In the prior art, high reflectivity and low birefringence polycarbonate resins are difficult to increase the viscosity average molecular weight, resulting in insufficient reflectivity and strength; while the incompatibility between polycarbonate resin (A) and polycarbonate resin (B) leads to poor transparency, bending resistance and impact resistance of their blends.

Method used

A combination of polycarbonate resins of a specific proportion of repeat units and high viscosity average molecular weight, including 16% to 63% of a specific repeat unit (a) and 37% to 84% of a specific repeat unit (d), as well as 30% to 70% of a polycarbonate resin (A) and 70% to 30% of a polycarbonate resin (B) to form a combination of polycarbonate resins with high reflectivity and high transparency.

Benefits of technology

It realizes high reflectivity, excellent transparency and strength of the polycarbonate resin combination, and is suitable for XR projectors and XR films.

Abstract

Provided is a polycarbonate resin composition which contains 16-63 mass% of a repeating unit (a) represented by formula (1) and 37-84 mass% of a repeating unit (d) represented by formula (6), and which has a viscosity average molecular weight 15,000 or more. (In formula (1), R1 and R2 each independently denote a hydrogen atom or a methyl group.) (In formula (6), R15 to R18 each independently denote a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1-10 carbon atoms, or a group which includes an aryl group and has 6-12 carbon atoms. W denotes at least one type selected from among a single bond, an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, a sulfinyl group, a sulfonyl group and a divalent organic group.)
