Abstract
Description
[0001] An improved deflection flap for a vehicle
[0002] Description
[0003] The invention relates to an improved deflection flap for a vehicle with a wing-profile fuselage. German patent application 10 2018 001 247.7, publication number DE 10 2018 001 247 A1 - Thrust reversal on an aircraft fuselage with a wing profile - forms the basis. The entire content of DE 10 2018 001 247 A1 is incorporated by reference into the present patent application.
[0004] State of the art
[0005] The aforementioned German patent application includes a deflection flap at the front of the vehicle and an airbrake at the rear. The exhaust gases from the gas turbine must be directed to the front and rear of the vehicle. This is technically very demanding.
[0006] Aim of the invention
[0007] The invention is based on the object of providing a different design for the vehicle's braking and landing system compared to the design known from DE 10 2018 001 247 A1, in order to expand the range of technical solutions that vehicle manufacturers - including aircraft manufacturers - can use. Solution to the problem
[0008] This object is achieved according to the invention by a device according to claim 1.
[0009] The vehicle's braking and landing system is integrated into the nose, eliminating the need for a rear airbrake.
[0010] Advantageous and preferred embodiments of the device according to the invention are the subject of claims 2 and 3.
[0011] By arranging the deflection flaps (reference numerals 4 and 8 in DE 10 2018 001 247 A1; reference numerals 3 and 4 in the present patent application) at the nose of the vehicle, the frontal air supply to the gas turbine from DE 10 2018 001 247 A1 is eliminated and replaced by a lateral air supply to the gas turbine. This lateral air supply is advantageous for the gas turbine in supersonic flight (turbine engine).
[0012] Description of an embodiment
[0013] The device according to the invention will be explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment. For clarification, see Fig. 1, which shows the front of the vehicle in ferry mode or at rest, and Fig. 2, which shows the front of the vehicle in the braking state.
[0014] A gas turbine serves as the drive engine.
[0015] The deflection flap at the bow is made up of two parts. There are studs 5 and 6 on deflection flaps 3 and 4. The deflection flaps are connected to a device 7. Device 7 is used to raise and lower deflection flaps 3 and 4.
[0016] In flight mode, deflection flaps 3 and 4 are joined at their tips at the nose. This deflects the gas with thrust 8, thus propelling the vehicle. When deflection flaps 3 and 4 separate using device 7, the gas flow can escape in the direction of travel. This creates counter-thrust 9. This causes the vehicle to decelerate. This deceleration can lead to a hovering state in the air if thrust 8 and counter-thrust 9 are approximately equal. The vehicle's lift and downforce are provided by the fuselage with wing profile 1.
[0017] The deflection flaps 3 and 4 can be moved together or individually.
[0018] It is advantageous to adapt the width of the deflection flaps and exhaust duct to the bow 2 to the width of the vehicle hull.
[0019] The invention has been explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment. Within the scope of expert practice, a number of further embodiments are possible that remain within the scope of the basic concept of the invention.
[0020] Further embodiments emerge in particular from subclaims.

Claims
AMENDED CLAIMS received by the International Bureau on 07 March 2025 (07.03.2025) 1. A device in and on the bow of a vehicle fuselage with a wing profile (1) for splitting an exhaust jet into thrust (8) and counter-thrust (9), wherein an exhaust duct (2) leads from the drive engine to the bow of the vehicle and the device has deflection flaps (3) (4) on the bow, which, when combined at their tip in the flight operating state, provide the thrust, furthermore the lift and downforce of the vehicle are ensured by the vehicle fuselage with a wing profile (1), furthermore counter-thrust is generated to brake the vehicle when the deflection flaps move apart.
2. A device according to claim 1, characterized in that deflection flaps (3) (4) with knobs (5) (6) are moved by a device for lifting and lowering (7) or are moved by devices for lifting and lowering.
3. A device according to claim 2, characterized in that deflection flaps are firmly connected to the vehicle body (1). AMENDED SHEET (ARTICLE 19) Declaration under Article 19(1) PCT Claims 1 to 3 filed under Art. 19 PCT replace the originally filed claims 1 to 3. The new claim 1 is the original claim 1, but has been supplemented after its original last word, "leads," with additional text, the original disclosure of which can be found in the originally filed description on page 2, last paragraph, and page 3, first paragraph. This textual addition to the originally filed claim 1 serves both to improve the comprehensibility of the claim wording and to further distinguish the subject matter claimed in claim 1 from the prior art. Claim 2 remains unchanged from the originally filed claim 2.The new patent claim 3 is, in its technical content, exactly the same as the original patent claim 3, although the superfluous reference symbol "(4)" has been removed from patent claim 3 purely as such. The amendments to the patent claims have no effect on the description and the drawings. DECLARATION REFERRED TO IN ARTICLE 19 (1)
