Description

Louver installation holder, louver unit using the same, and louver installation method

[0001] The present invention relates to a louver mounting holder, a louver unit using the same, and a louver installation method.

[0002] In recent years, cylindrical louvers have been installed on ceilings and walls to enhance the interior design of buildings. These louvers are attached to structural members such as ceiling beams and wall columns via brackets. For this reason, the louvers are provided with connecting portions that enable them to be connected to the brackets (see Patent Document 1, etc.).

[0003] JP 2013-238064 A

[0004] While lightweight metals such as aluminum have traditionally been used for louvers, in recent years, materials such as non-combustible paper and medium-density fiber (MDF) boards have begun to be used to further reduce weight and improve texture. While metal louvers can easily be integrally formed with brackets during manufacturing, non-combustible paper or MDF boards make it difficult to integrally form brackets during manufacturing. Therefore, when installing non-combustible paper or MDF board louvers on beams, columns, or other structural members, specially shaped brackets must be prepared and attached to the louvers, which is both costly and time-consuming.

[0005] For these reasons, the present invention aims to provide a louver mounting holder that can be easily and inexpensively installed on structural members such as ceiling beams and wall pillars, even if the louvers are made of materials that are difficult to process into a single piece, such as non-flammable paper or MDF boards, as well as a louver unit and louver installation method that utilizes this.

[0006] In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the first louver mounting holder of the present invention is a louver mounting holder for mounting and holding a cylindrical louver to a structure, and is characterized in that it comprises a mounting device having an end surface portion that covers the opening at the end of the louver and an edge surface portion that protrudes from the end surface portion so as to abut the inner surface of the louver and has a threaded hole formed therein; a bracket having a through hole formed at its tip side that can communicate with the threaded hole in the edge surface portion of the mounting device and a base end side that can be fixed to the structure; and a male threaded part that passes through the through hole in the bracket and the louver and screws into the threaded hole in the edge surface portion of the mounting device.

[0007] Furthermore, a second louver mounting fixture according to the present invention is a preferred invention in which, in the above-mentioned louver mounting fixture, it is provided with a cover plate that is attached to the mounting fixture so as to cover the end face portion of the mounting fixture and the peripheral edge of the opening at the end of the louver.

[0008] Furthermore, a third louver mounting fixture according to the present invention is a preferred invention in which, in the above-mentioned louver mounting fixture, the bracket comprises a tip-side member in which the through hole is formed and a communicating hole is formed, a base-side member in which a communicating hole is formed and which can be fixed to the structure, and a screw fastener that is inserted into the communicating hole of the tip-side member and the communicating hole of the base-side member to fix the tip-side member and the base-side member.

[0009] Furthermore, a fourth louver mounting fixture according to the present invention is a preferred invention in which, in the above-mentioned louver mounting fixture, multiple through holes are formed in parallel in the bracket so that multiple louvers can be held in parallel.

[0010] Furthermore, in order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the louver unit of the present invention is characterized by comprising a cylindrical louver made of non-flammable paper or medium-density fiberboard, and the above-mentioned louver mounting holder.

[0011] Furthermore, the louver unit of the present invention is preferably the louver unit described above, in which the louvers are multiple and arranged in parallel, the mounting fixtures are multiple and are fitted into the openings of each of the louvers, the through holes of the bracket are multiple and formed in parallel, and the threaded parts are multiple and fix the parallel-arranged louvers to the bracket, respectively.

[0012] In addition, the first louver installation method of the present invention, which is intended to solve the above-mentioned problems, is a louver installation method in which the louver is attached and held to the structure using the above-mentioned first louver attachment holder, and is characterized by comprising the following steps: an attachment attachment step in which the attachment is fitted into the opening at the end of the louver; a bracket attachment step in which the threaded part is passed through the through hole at the tip side of the bracket and the louver and the threaded part is screwed into the screw hole of the attachment step to attach the bracket to the louver; and an installation step in which the base end side of the bracket is fixed to the structure and the bracket is attached to the structure, thereby installing the louver on the structure.

[0013] Furthermore, a second louver installation method according to the present invention is a louver installation method for mounting and holding the louvers on the structure using the second louver mounting holder described above, and is characterized by including a cover plate mounting step for mounting the cover plate on the end surface of the mounting holder; a mounting holder mounting step for fitting the mounting holder into the opening at the end of the louver; a bracket mounting step for attaching the bracket to the louver by passing the threaded fastener through the through hole at the tip side of the bracket and the louver and screwing the threaded fastener into the threaded hole in the mounting holder; and an installation step for installing the louver on the structure by fixing the base end side of the bracket to the structure and attaching the bracket to the structure.

[0014] Furthermore, a third louver installation method according to the present invention is a louver installation method for mounting and holding the louvers to the structure using the third louver mounting holder described above, and is characterized by including the following steps: a mounting fixture mounting step for fitting the mounting fixture into the opening at the end of the louver; a tip-side member mounting step for passing the male threaded fastener through the through hole of the tip-side member of the bracket and the louver and screwing the male threaded fastener into the screw hole of the mounting fixture to mount the bracket to the louver; a base-side member mounting step for fixing the base-side member of the bracket to the structure and attaching the bracket to the structure; and an installation step for fixing the tip-side member and the base-side member to install the louver on the structure by inserting and fastening the screw fastener into the communicating holes of the tip-side member and the base-side member of the bracket.

[0015] Furthermore, a fourth louver installation method according to the present invention is a louver installation method for mounting and holding the louvers on the structure using the fourth louver mounting holder described above, and is characterized by including a mounting device mounting step of fitting the mounting device into the opening at the end of each louver to mount it, a bracket mounting step of passing the threaded fasteners through the through holes on the tip side of the bracket and each of the louvers and screwing the threaded fasteners into the screw holes of each of the mounting devices to mount the louvers in parallel to the bracket, and an installation step of installing multiple louvers in parallel on the structure by fixing the base end side of the bracket to the structure and attaching the bracket to the structure.

[0016] The louver mounting holder and the louver unit and louver installation method of the present invention can be easily installed at low cost on structural members such as ceiling beams and wall pillars, even if the louvers are made of materials that are difficult to process into a single piece, such as non-flammable paper or MDF boards.

FIG. 1 is a view taken along the arrow line II-II in FIG. 1. FIG. 2 is a flow chart explaining the steps of a louver installation method that uses the louver mounting holder of FIGS. 1 and 2. FIG. 3 is a partially extracted and exploded cross-sectional view showing the schematic structure of a second embodiment of a louver unit that uses a louver mounting holder according to the present invention. FIG. 4 is a view taken along the arrow line V-V in FIG. 5. FIG. 6 is a flow chart explaining the steps of a louver installation method that uses the louver mounting holder of FIGS.

[0018] The following describes embodiments of the louver mounting holder, the louver unit using the same, and the louver installation method according to the present invention, with reference to the drawings. Note that the present invention is not limited to the following embodiments described with reference to the drawings, and various technical matters described in each embodiment can be combined, replaced, or omitted as needed.

[0019] First Embodiment A first embodiment of a louver mounting holder, a louver unit using the same, and a louver installation method according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.

[0020] 1 and 2, the base end (top end in FIGS. 1 and 2) of a U-shaped metal bracket 11 is fixed to a ceiling beam 1, which is a structural member, with a plurality of wood screws 12. Meanwhile, a U-shaped metal fixture 13 is fitted into an opening 101a at the end of a rectangular cylindrical louver 101 (e.g., 90 mm high, 30 mm wide, and 2-3 m long) made of non-combustible paper, so as to cover the opening.

[0021] The louvers 101 are oriented so that their longitudinal direction is along the width direction of the bracket 11 (left-right direction in Figure 1), and the outer surfaces of the end sides abut against the tip side of the bracket 11 (lower end side in Figures 1 and 2).

[0022] A plurality of screws 14, which are male threaded parts, are inserted into the tip end side (lower end side in FIGS. 1 and 2 ) of the bracket 11, and these screws 14 pass through the louver 101 and are screwed into the mounting fixtures 13. As a result, the louver 101 is sandwiched between the tip end side of the bracket 11 and the mounting fixtures 13, and is fixedly supported on the beam 1 via the bracket 11. The end of the louver 101, the peripheral edge of the opening 101a, and the mounting fixtures 13 are covered with a cover plate 15 made of non-combustible paper. The cover plate 15 is attached to the mounting fixtures 13 with a plurality of screws 16.

[0023] Reference numeral 17 denotes a screw for fixing the fixture 13 to the louver 101. Here, each member will be described in more detail.

[0024] The bracket 11 is formed by combining a base end fitting 11A, which is an L-shaped base end member, and a tip end fitting 11B, which is a tip end member, to form a U-shape. The base end fitting 11A forms the base end side of the bracket 11 and has a plurality of through holes 11Aa formed therein for mounting and fixing to the beam 1 with a plurality of wood screws 12. The tip end fitting 11B forms the tip side of the bracket 11 and has a plurality of through holes 11Ba formed therein for mounting and fixing to the mounting fixture 13 via the louver 101 with a plurality of screws 14.

[0025] The base-end fitting 11A and the tip-end fitting 11B are arranged so that they partially overlap between the base-end and tip-end sides of the bracket 11, and a plurality of communicating holes 11Ab, 11Bb that communicate with each other are formed in the overlapping portion. Then, by inserting a bolt 11C, which is a threaded part, into the communicating holes 11Ab, 11Bb and screwing it onto a nut 11D to tighten, the base-end fitting 11A and the tip-end fitting 11B are fixed together.

[0026] The mounting fixture 13 has an end surface portion 13a that covers the opening 101a at the end of the louver 101, and edge surface portions 13b, 13c that protrude from one end (upper side in FIGS. 1 and 2) and the other end (lower side in FIGS. 1 and 2) of the end surface portion 13a and abut against the inner surface of the louver 101. The end surface portion 13a is formed with a threaded hole 13aa that screws 16 into. The edge surface portion 13b is formed with a plurality of threaded holes 13ba that communicate with the through hole 11Ba of the tip-side metal fitting 11B of the bracket 11 and screws 14 into. The edge surface portion 13c is formed with a threaded hole 13ca that screws 17 into.

[0027] The cover plate 15 has a plurality of through holes 15a formed therein for fastening with a plurality of screws 16 that are screwed into a plurality of screw holes 13aa in the end surface 13a of the fixture 13. The cover plate 15 completely covers the end surface 13a of the fixture 13 and also covers the peripheral edge of the opening 101a of the louver 101, giving the opening 101a of the louver 101 the same pattern as the outer surface of the louver 101, thereby unifying the appearance of the entire louver 101.

[0028] 1 and 2, only one end of the louver 101 in the longitudinal direction is shown, but the other end of the louver 101 in the longitudinal direction also has a similar structure.

[0029] In this embodiment, the louver mounting holder 10 is made up of the bracket 11, wood screws 12, mounting fixtures 13, screws 14, cover plate 15, screws 16, screws 17, etc., and the louver mounting holder 10, louver 101, etc. make up the louver unit 100.

[0030] Next, a louver installation method using the louver installation holder 10 according to this embodiment will be described with reference to FIG.

[0031] First, the cover plate 15 is placed on the end surface 13a of the mounting fixture 13, and the screw 16 is inserted into the through hole 15a of the cover plate 15 and screwed into the screw hole 13aa of the end surface 13a of the mounting fixture 13, thereby attaching and mounting the cover plate 15 to the mounting fixture 13 (cover plate attachment process S11).

[0032] Next, the edge surface portions 13b, 13c of the mounting fixture 13 are inserted into the opening 101a of the louver 101 to fit the mounting fixture 13, and the screw 17 is threaded through the louver 101 and into the screw hole 13ca of the edge surface portion 13c and tightened, thereby attaching the mounting fixture 13 to the louver 101 (mounting fixture attachment process S12).

[0033] Next, the screw 14 is inserted into the through hole 11Ba of the tip side fitting 11B of the bracket 11, passed through the louver 101, and screwed into the screw hole 13ba of the edge surface portion 13b of the mounting fixture 13, thereby attaching and mounting the tip side fitting 11B to the louver 101 via the mounting fixture 13 (tip side fitting (component) mounting process S13).

[0034] Then, the wood screw 12 is inserted into the through hole 11Aa of the base end fitting 11A of the bracket 11, and is driven into the beam 1 and tightened, thereby attaching the base end fitting 11A to the beam 1 (base end fitting (component) attachment process S14).

[0035] Finally, the connecting hole 11Ab of the base end fitting 11A of the bracket 11 and the connecting hole 11Bb of the tip end fitting 11B are overlapped so as to communicate with each other, and the bolt 11C is inserted and screwed into the nut 11D to fasten the bolt, thereby attaching and holding the louver 101 to the beam 1 via the bracket 11 (installation step S15).

[0036] In this embodiment, even if the louver 101 is made of non-flammable paper, for which it is difficult to form the joints as a single unit during manufacturing, the louver 101 can be attached and held to the beam 1 using only ordinary tools with the louver attachment holder 10, which consists only of components with ordinary shapes.

[0037] Therefore, according to this embodiment, the louvers 101 can be easily installed on the beams 1 at low cost.

[0038] Furthermore, since the cover plate 15 covers the entire end face 13a of the fixture 13 and also covers the peripheral edge of the opening 101a of the louver 101, the opening 101a of the louver 101 can be made to have the same pattern as the outer surface of the louver 101, thereby unifying the appearance of the entire louver 101.

[0039] Furthermore, the base end metal fitting 11A of the bracket 11 is attached and fixed to the beam 1 with wood screws 12, while the tip end metal fitting 11B of the bracket 11 is attached and fixed to the fixture 13 via the louver 101 with screws 14, and then the base end metal fitting 11A and the tip end metal fitting 11B of the bracket 11 are fastened together with bolts 11C and nuts 11D, so that the louver 101 can be installed on the beam 1. This makes it easier to install the louver on the beam than when a bracket attached to the louver is directly fixed to the beam, or when a bracket attached to the beam is directly fixed to the louver, thereby further improving workability.

[0040] Second Embodiment A second embodiment of the louver mounting holder, the louver unit using the same, and the louver installation method according to the present invention will be described with reference to Figures 4 to 6. However, for parts similar to those in the previous embodiment, the same reference numerals as those used in the description of the previous embodiment will be used, and descriptions that overlap with the previous embodiment will be omitted.

[0041] 4 and 5, the base end side (upper end side in FIGS. 4 and 5) of a metal bracket 21 having a generally O-shaped configuration is fixed to the beam 1 with wood screws 12. The length of this bracket 21 in the width direction (left-right direction in FIG. 5) is longer (several times to more than ten times) than the length of the bracket 11 described in the embodiment above in the width direction (left-right direction in FIG. 1).

[0042] The louvers 101 are oriented so that their short sides (width direction) face the width direction (left-right direction in FIG. 5) of the bracket 21, and multiple louvers 101 are arranged in parallel along the width direction (left-right direction in FIG. 5) of the bracket 21, with the outer surfaces of their end sides abutting the leading ends (lower ends in FIGS. 4 and 5) of the bracket 21. In other words, there are multiple louvers 101 arranged in parallel. Correspondingly, there are also multiple mounting fixtures 13, and each is fitted into the opening 101a of each louver 101.

[0043] A plurality of screws 14 are inserted at predetermined intervals across the width (left-right direction in FIG. 5) at the tip end side of the bracket 21 (lower end side in FIGS. 4 and 5), and these screws 14 pass through each louver 101 and are screwed into the fixture 13. As a result, each louver 101 is sandwiched between the tip end side of the bracket 21 and the fixture 13, and is fixedly supported in parallel on the beam 1 via the bracket 21. Here, components that differ from the above-described embodiment will be described in more detail.

[0044] The bracket 21 is formed by combining a base-end metal fitting 21A, which is an L-shaped base-end member, and a tip-end metal fitting 21B, which is a tip-end member, to form a generally O-shaped configuration. The base-end metal fitting 21A constitutes the base end of the bracket 21 and has through holes 21Aa formed therein for mounting and fixing to the beam 1 with wood screws 12. The tip-end metal fitting 21B constitutes the tip end of the bracket 21 and has a plurality of through holes 21Ba formed therein at predetermined intervals across the width (left-right direction in FIG. 5 ) for mounting and fixing to the fixture 13 via the louvers 101 with a plurality of screws 14. In other words, there are a plurality of screws 14, which fix the parallel-arranged louvers 101 to the tip-end metal fittings 21B, respectively.

[0045] The base-end fitting 21A and the tip-end fitting 21B are arranged so that they partially overlap between the base end and tip end of the bracket 21, and communicating holes 21Ab, 21Bb that communicate with each other are formed in the overlapping portions. Then, by inserting a bolt 11C into the communicating holes 21Ab, 21Bb and screwing it onto a nut 11D to tighten, the base-end fitting 21A and the tip-end fitting 21B are fixed together.

[0046] Note that Figure 4 shows only one longitudinal end of the louver 101, and Figure 5 shows only one widthwise end of the bracket 21, but the other longitudinal end of the louver 101 and the other widthwise end of the bracket 21 also have a similar structure.

[0047] In this embodiment, the bracket 21, wood screws 12, mounting fixtures 13, screws 14, cover plate 15, screws 16, screws 17, etc. form the louver mounting holder 20, and the louver 101, etc. form the louver unit 200.

[0048] In other words, in the above-described embodiment, the louver unit 100 is constructed by applying a bracket 11 capable of holding one louver 101, but in this embodiment, the louver unit 200 is constructed by applying a bracket 21 capable of holding multiple louvers 101 in parallel.

[0049] Next, a construction method using the louver mounting fixture 20 according to this embodiment will be described with reference to FIG.

[0050] First, as in the case of the above-described embodiment, the cover plate 15 is attached to the fixture 13 (cover plate attaching step S11), and the fixture 13 is attached to the louver 101 (fixture attaching step S12).

[0051] Next, the screws 14 are inserted into the through holes 21Ba of the tip-side metal fittings 21B of the bracket 21, passed through the louvers 101, and screwed into the threaded holes 13ba in the edge surface portion 13b of the mounting fixture 13. By performing this process for each of the multiple louvers 101 lined up at predetermined intervals across the width of the bracket 21, the multiple parallel louvers 101 are fixed and attached to the tip-side metal fittings 21B (tip-side metal fitting (member) attachment process S23).

[0052] Then, the wood screw 12 is inserted into the through hole 21Aa of the base end fitting 21A of the bracket 21, and is tightened by driving it into the beam 1, thereby fixing and attaching the base end fitting 21A to the beam 1 (base end fitting (component) attachment process S24).

[0053] Finally, the through-holes 21Ab of the base-end metal fitting 21A of the bracket 21 and the through-holes 21Bb of the tip-end metal fitting 21B are overlapped so as to communicate with each other, and the bolts 11C are inserted and fastened to the nuts 11D. This allows the multiple louvers 101 to be attached and held in parallel to the beam 1 via the brackets 21 (installation step S25).

[0054] That is, in the above-described embodiment, the louver unit 100 having one louver 101 is installed on the beam 1, but in this embodiment, the louver unit 200 having a plurality of louvers 101 arranged in parallel is installed on the beam 1. Therefore, it is possible to assemble the plurality of louvers 101 all at once in advance at a pre-factory or construction site, and then install them on the beam 1 of the ceiling.

[0055] Therefore, according to this embodiment, not only can the same effects as those of the above-mentioned embodiment be obtained, but multiple louvers 101 can be installed quickly, thereby further reducing costs and improving work efficiency.

[0056] [Other Embodiments] In the above-described embodiment, the cover plate attachment step S11 is performed before the fixture attachment step S12, but the present invention is not limited to this. In other embodiments, for example, the cover plate attachment step S11 can be performed between the fixture attachment step S12 and the distal-end fitting attachment step S13, S23, between the distal-end fitting attachment step S13, S23 and the proximal-end fitting attachment step S14, S24, or after the proximal-end fitting attachment step S14, S24. However, performing the cover plate attachment step S11 before the fixture attachment step S12, as in the above-described embodiment, is preferable because it allows for efficient installation of the louver 101.

[0057] Furthermore, in the embodiment described above, the proximal-end fitting attachment steps S14, S24 are performed after the distal-end fitting attachment steps S13, S23, but the present invention is not limited to this. In other embodiments, for example, the proximal-end fitting attachment steps S14, S24 may be performed after the distal-end fitting attachment steps S13, S23. However, performing the proximal-end fitting attachment steps S14, S24 after the distal-end fitting attachment steps S13, S23, as in the embodiment described above, is preferable because it allows for efficient installation of the louver 101.

[0058] In the above-described embodiment, the brackets 11, 21 are applied in which the base-end fittings 11A, 21A and the tip-end fittings 11B, 21B are fixed with bolts 11C and nuts 11D, but the present invention is not limited to this. As another embodiment, for example, it is also possible to apply a bracket made of a single member in which the base and tip sides are integrated and fastened together without using threaded fasteners.

[0059] When using such a bracket consisting of a single member to install the louver 101 on the beam 1, a screw 14 is passed through the through hole at the tip side of the bracket and the louver 101, and the screw 14 is screwed into the screw hole 13ba on the edge surface portion 13b of the mounting fixture 13 to attach the bracket to the louver 101 (bracket mounting process), and the base end side of the bracket is fixed to the beam 1 to attach the bracket to the beam 1, thereby installing the louver 101 on the beam 1 (installation process).

[0060] This eliminates the need to insert bolts 11C into the communicating holes 11Ab, 11Bb, 21Ab, 21Bb of the base-end fittings 11A, 21A and the tip-end fittings 11B, 21B and fasten them with nuts 11D, thereby reducing the number of work steps compared to the previously described embodiment.

[0061] However, in the above-described embodiment, the tip-end fittings 11B, 21B to which the louver 101 is attached are fixed to the base-end fittings 11A, 21A attached to the beam 1 with bolts 11C and nuts 11D, which is preferable because it makes the work easier than fixing a bracket to which the louver 101 is attached to the beam 1.

[0062] In the above-described embodiment, the louvers 101 are installed on the beams 1 of the ceiling, but the present invention is not limited to this. As another embodiment, the present invention can be applied to, for example, any structural body such as the interior of a building, including wall columns, in the same manner as in the above-described embodiment.

[0063] In the above-described embodiment, the louvers 101 are made of non-combustible paper, but the present invention is not limited to this. As another embodiment, the present invention can be applied to louvers made of materials that are difficult to process as a single unit, such as medium-density fiberboard (MDF), as well as louvers made of metal materials that are easy to process as a single unit, in the same manner as the above-described embodiment. In this case, it is preferable that the cover plate be made of the same material as the louvers.

[0064] In the above-described embodiment, the louver 101 is described as having a rectangular cylindrical shape, but the present invention is not limited to this. As another embodiment, any louver having a cylindrical shape, including a cylindrical shape, can be applied in the same manner as in the above-described embodiment. In this case, the mounting fixture and the cover plate are shaped to match the shape of the opening at the end of the louver.

[0065] In addition, although the above-described embodiment has been described with reference to a case where a cover plate is used, the present invention is not limited to this. In other embodiments, for example, in cases where the area around the opening at the end of the louver is not visible due to the installation situation, the cover plate may be omitted.

[0066] The louver mounting holder and the louver unit and louver installation method of the present invention can be easily installed at low cost on structural members such as ceiling beams and wall columns, even for louvers made from materials that are difficult to process into a single piece, such as non-flammable paper or MDF boards, and can therefore be used to great advantage in a variety of industries, including the construction industry.
