Description

[0001] DESCRIPTION

[0002] ANCHORING FOR VENTILATED FACADE PANELS

[0003] OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

[0004] The present invention relates to an anchor for ventilated façade panels.

[0005] BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0006] Currently, ventilated façade panels are mounted on building enclosures using horizontal profiles from which the panels that form the vertical façade are hung.

[0007] These horizontal profiles are indirectly attached to a corresponding fixed element of the façade cladding by means of other vertical profiles fixed at points, these being directly attached to the fixed element of the cladding. The use of vertical profiles is necessary because they allow the horizontal profiles to be fixed in an adjustable height along the vertical profiles. This is necessary to level them and thus ensure that the cladding panels remain equally level and horizontal.

[0008] The use of horizontal profiles fixed directly to the enclosure wall is not feasible due to the difference in the expansion coefficient of the materials, as the profiles are made of aluminum and the façade enclosures are made of concrete, blocks or bricks, wood, or steel frame.

[0009] On the other hand, the profiles in any enclosure are subject to expansions or contractions due to temperature that are not the same as those of the enclosure element, and these expansions and contractions are absorbed between the fixing points by means of bending of the metal!, which is not a desirable phenomenon since it subjects the point fixings, and therefore the entire ventilated façade assembly, to unwanted stresses that require the elements to be oversized to prevent the fixings from weakening. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0010] The inventive ventilated façade panel anchor is of the type that is attached to a fixed element of the façade enclosure (directly or indirectly via vertical profiles) and where the panels are hung via horizontal profiles; and according to the invention, it comprises:

[0011] -a support plate, which is provided with at least one hole for fixing to the fixed element of the enclosure and with horizontal front claws oriented upwards, supporting the horizontal profiles, comprising a bolt for reinforcing said front claws;

[0012] -The horizontal profiles comprise inward-facing horizontal claws complementary to the front claws (designed to engage horizontally) of the support plate, and a locking projection for the bolt. These horizontal claws and horizontal claws are high enough to absorb the vertical movements of the elements without disengaging from each other. These claws, to achieve this clipping, can even have different shapes depending on the intended use of the anchor.

[0013] This configuration allows the anchor of the invention to be used to attach, in a simpler embodiment, the panels to facades with vertical profiles; and with the use of a base plate, directly to the fixed element of the enclosure, eliminating the need for vertical profiles.

[0014] Furthermore, no tools or fixtures are required for panel assembly, as it is quick and easy without any maintenance, measurements, or adjustments. This connection allows the horizontal profile to be secured without screws or rivets, just clipping. This allows for horizontal expansion, a very important feature of the invention.

[0015] Even with the configuration of the invention, a separation is achieved between the horizontal profile and the enclosure that is large enough to allow the circulation of upward air, essential for proper functioning as a ventilated façade, while being small enough (<20 millimetres) to avoid problems of overgrowth of the façade (especially in cases of rehabilitation) that could pose an administrative and technical obstacle to its installation.

[0016] Also, in certain locations where vertical profiles are necessary due to substantial temperature changes, where expansion is greater, the anchor of the invention serves to absorb these greater expansions.

[0017] Say that the horizontal profiles, on their outer face, may have different shapes depending on the type of panel to be hung from them,

[0026] The anchor (1) for panels, not shown, of ventilated facades of the invention, is of the type that is fixed to a fixed element (3) of the facade enclosure and where the panels are hung through horizontal profiles (100); and according to the invention it comprises:

[0027] -a support plate (5), which is provided with at least one hole (52, 54) for fixing to the fixed element (3) of the enclosure and with horizontal front claws (50a, 50b) oriented upwards, for supporting the horizontal profiles (100), comprising a bolt (53) for locking into said front claws (50a, 50b); and

[0028] -the horizontal profiles (100) comprising horizontal claws (20a, 20b) oriented inwards and complementary to the front ones (50a, 50b) of the support plate (5), and a projection (101) for locking the bolt (53). This generic embodiment allows the panels to be fixed directly to vertical profiles (30) fixed to the fixed element of the façade enclosure.

[0029] In a highly preferred variant of the invention, the anchor (1) further comprises (see figs. 1 to 4) a base plate (4) provided with at least one hole (41, 42) for fixing by means of an anchor screw or rivet (55) to the fixed element (3) of the enclosure, an inner face (40) in contact with the fixed element (3) of the enclosure, and an outer face (43) in contact with the support plate (5). provided with a first blocking relief (43a) (see fig. 1); the support plate comprising on its rear face (51) a second blocking relief (51a) complementary to the first blocking relief (43a) (that is, they are designed to engage together with the pressure of the anchor screw or rivet); and comprising the holes (52, 54) in the shape of a coliseum, being arranged in positional coincidence with the holes (41, 42) of the base plate (4).In this way, the vertical profiles can be dispensed with and the anchor can be fixed directly to the fixed element of the enclosure, allowing height adjustment by adjusting the height position between the base plate and the support plate, which is immobilized by tightening the anchor screw or rivet that passes through the hole and the opposing slot drill. This has the additional advantage that the enclosure panels, on the one hand, are subject to lower stress since their expansion and contraction coefficients are similar to those of the elements that form the enclosure and are not interfered with by movements of vertical profiles that no longer exist. Furthermore, since there are no vertical profiles, considerable costs and assembly times are saved, which account for almost half of the time required for traditional ventilated façades. This also allows for assembly on wooden, steel or similar enclosures.

[0030] It is preferred that the base plate comprises (see fig. 1) a first hole (41) of larger diameter for anchor screws (55) with plug, and a second hole (42) of smaller diameter for anchor screws or rivets (55) without plug arranged adjacent horizontally; the support plate (5) comprising (see figs. 1, 5 and 6) a first vertical slot (52) of larger width (coinciding with the diameter of the first hole) facing the first hole (41) and a second vertical slot (54) of smaller width (coinciding with the diameter of the second hole) facing the second hole (42); the holes (41, 42) of the base plate (4) being arranged adjacent horizontally and the slots (52, 54) of the support plate (5) also, and at the same distance as the holes (41, 42). Thanks to this configuration, with the locking bolt (53) on one side (see fig.5), we will have a smaller hole, which will be optimal for placing direct fixing screws (especially for wood and chipboard surfaces) or rivets suitable for base facades made with steel frame, these being the system that the manufacturer indicates as having maximum grip reliability, and with the bolt (53) placed on the other side (see fig. 6) we will have a larger hole that is designed for placing plugs with screws (both mechanical and chemical) for placing fixing systems on site (basically concrete or ceramic blocks). Similarly, the facade enclosure plates can be made of various materials, including ceramic, concrete, wood, ACM, resins, etc. pieces. For their part, the blocking reliefs (43a, 51a) comprise horizontal grooves, since they block vertical movement when the support plate is pressed against the base plate.

[0031] The bolt (53) (see figs. 3 and 4) has been designed to comprise a broken plate, with an upper sector (53a) facing outwards in an upward direction, an intermediate sector (53b) provided with a rear heel (53ba), and facing outwards in a downward direction, and a lower sector (53c) facing inwards in a downward direction; where the upper end of the upper sector (53a) has a projection, including the rear heel (53ba), coinciding (taking into account the tolerances) with the horizontal distance from the upper claw (20a) to the outer face of the support plate (5) and comprises an upper extreme flange (53aa);the lower end of the intermediate sector (53b) has a projection, including the rear heel (53ba), coinciding (taking into account the tolerances) with the horizontal distance from the lower claw (20b) to the outer face of the support plate (5), and the lower sector (53c) has a recess coinciding (taking into account the tolerances) with the horizontal distance from the lower claw (20b) to the outer face of the support plate (5); the upper front claw (50a) comprising notches (50aa) (see first view of fig. 7) for inserting the bolt in the two different positions. In this way, the bolt (53) tilts when the horizontal profile is inserted and returns to a rest position where the upper end tab (53aa) is retained by the horizontal profile through the projection (101), as seen in figure 4.;

[0032] For its part, the support plate (5) preferably comprises two front nails (50a, 50b) arranged in parallel vertically, and the horizontal profiles (100) comprise two horizontal claws (20a, 20b) arranged in parallel vertically to be supported on it.

[0033] Additionally, the invention provides for the possible arrangement of rear checking plates (60) (see fig. 7), of height and width equal to or greater than those of the base plate (4) or the support plate (5) in the variant of direct fixing of the latter to a vertical profile, and provided with a laterally open slot (64) of dimensions equal to or greater than the diameter of the anchor screw or rivet (55), and upper and lower end crimps (65) complementary to the upper and lower edges of the base plate (4) or the support plate (5). This design of the shoe plates ensures that they remain secured, preventing them from moving or falling. In addition, they facilitate their placement in a fast and precise manner, since this will be done by moving a front wedge plate laterally (when sliding, the incoming one will push out the outgoing one), making the adjustment operation much more comfortable.These checking plates (60) have different thicknesses (increasable by 2 millimetres, for example). Finally, it should be noted that some clips (68) can be arranged between the front claws (50a, 50b) of the support plate (5) and the horizontal claws (20a, 20b) of the horizontal profiles (100). These are indicated in figures 8 and 9, arranged in this case on the lower front claw (50b) and on the lower horizontal claw (20b), a configuration that may vary depending on the location or other causes.

[0034] Notwithstanding the foregoing, and since the description provided corresponds only to an example of a preferred embodiment of the invention, it will be understood that within its essence multiple variations of detail may be introduced, also protected, which may affect the shape, size or manufacturing materials of the assembly or its parts, without this implying any alteration of the invention as a whole, delimited only by the claims provided below.
