Description

juicer

[0001] The present invention relates to a juicer, and more particularly, to a juicer capable of expanding the space for accommodating food ingredients.

[0002] When using a conventional hopper-type juicer, users must prepare ingredients by cutting them into sizes suitable for loading into the hopper's inlet. The storage space within the hopper is limited. When ingredients are loaded into the hopper, the shape or size of the cut may limit the amount of food added to the hopper's limited storage space. This means that even if the hopper has ample space, additional ingredients may not be added.

[0003] Additionally, if the amount of prepared ingredients exceeds the capacity of the hopper and cannot be fed into the hopper all at once, the remaining ingredients must be fed in after the previously fed ingredients have been processed gradually. When additional ingredients are fed in, the hopper juicer typically stops operating for the user's safety. In such cases, the user must frequently check the juice extraction status of previously fed ingredients and restart the hopper juicer, which is inconvenient.

[0004] The present invention has been devised to solve the above problems, and the purpose of the present invention is to provide a juicer capable of increasing the space for accommodating food materials.

[0005] The tasks of the present invention are not limited to the tasks mentioned above, and other tasks not mentioned will be clearly understood by those skilled in the art from the description below.

[0006] According to a first embodiment of the present invention for solving the above problem, a juicer comprises a main container including a receiving space for receiving food ingredients and a processing member provided in the receiving space for processing the food ingredients, a container lid detachably coupled to the main container and covering at least a portion of the receiving space, a main body on which the main container is seated and connected to the processing member to operate the processing member, and an extension container selectively coupled between the main container and the container lid and forming an expansion space communicating with the receiving space, wherein when the extension container is coupled to the main container, the container lid is detachably coupled to the extension container and covers at least a portion of the expansion space.

[0007] Other specific details of the present invention are included in the detailed description and drawings.

[0008] According to embodiments of the present invention, at least the following effects are achieved.

[0009] The present invention can increase the space for accommodating food ingredients without changing existing parts of the juicer.

[0010] The present invention has the advantage of reducing manufacturing costs and improving user convenience by having a container lid that is compatible with and detachable from both the main container and the extension container.

[0011]

[0012] The present invention has the advantage of minimizing the size of the juicer before the extension container is added, so that the space for storing food ingredients can be freely expanded, making it easy to store in a narrow space.

[0013] The present invention has the advantage of preventing safety accidents by detecting whether the main container and the extension container are open and stopping operation when they are open.

[0014] The present invention has the advantage of improving convenience of use by expanding the inlet of the extension container.

[0015] The effects according to the present invention are not limited to those exemplified above, and more diverse effects are included in this specification.

[0038] In addition, the embodiments described in this specification will be explained with reference to cross-sectional drawings and / or schematic drawings, which are ideal examples of the present invention. Therefore, the form of the examples may be modified due to manufacturing technology and / or tolerances, etc. In addition, each component in each drawing illustrated in the present invention may be illustrated to some extent enlarged or reduced for convenience of explanation. Like reference numerals refer to like components throughout the specification. This document omits descriptions related to the general functions and structures of the juicer (10), and only explains contents related to the present invention.

[0039] Hereinafter, the present invention will be described with reference to drawings for explaining a juicer according to a first embodiment of the present invention.

[0040] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a juicer according to a first embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 2 is a perspective view of FIG. 1 excluding the main body, FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the main container of FIG. 1, FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the extension container of FIG. 1, and FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view taken along the cutting line VV of FIG. 2.

[0041] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 5, a juicer (10) according to the first embodiment of the present invention is capable of expanding a food material receiving space (110), and includes a main container (100), a container lid (200), a main body (300), and an extension container (400).

[0042] The main container (100) has a space for receiving food ingredients, and the food ingredients are processed in the receiving space (110). The main container (100) may include a main container body (130) and a main container joint (140). The main container body (130) forms the receiving space (110), and a processing member (P) such as a container blade or cutting knife for processing food ingredients may be installed.

[0043] The main container body (130) may be formed in a cylindrical shape with the top and bottom open to form a receiving space. The main container body (130) may be formed in various shapes, such as a cylindrical shape with the top and bottom open, a square shape, etc.

[0044] An input hole (170, see Fig. 17) that communicates with the juice extracting unit (600) of the main body (300) to be described later may be formed at the bottom of the main container body (130). The input hole (170) is a passage through which food materials cut into a size suitable for juice extraction by the processing member (P) are fed from the receiving space (110) into the juice extracting unit (600).

[0045] An extension container (400) or a container lid (200) may be mounted on the upper part of the main container body (130). A main container coupling portion (140) may be formed on one side of the main container body (130), and a main container handle (150) may be formed on the other side.

[0046] Fig. 7 is a perspective view showing the first safety sensor part of the main container and the second safety sensor part of the extension container of Fig. 2, and Fig. 8 is an enlarged view of area VIII of Fig. 5.

[0047] Referring to FIGS. 7 and 8, the main container body (130) may include a first safety sensor unit (131). The first safety sensor unit (131) detects whether the container lid (200) is open, and when the expansion space (410) of the main container body (130) is closed or opened by the container lid (200), the closed and open states can be detected.

[0048] The first safety sensor unit (131) may be formed in the main container body (130). The position at which the first safety sensor unit (131) is formed is not limited, but in order to accurately detect whether the container lid (200) is opened, it is preferable to form it in a position adjacent to the container lid (200). In the drawing, the first safety sensor unit (131) is shown as being formed in a position adjacent to the main container coupling unit (140), but it may be formed in a position adjacent to the main container handle (150) or in a position adjacent to the upper edge of the main container body (130).

[0049] When the first safety sensor unit (131) detects an open state, the operation of the processing member (P) that processes the food material can be stopped for the safety of the user. When the first safety sensor unit (131) detects a closed state, the processing member (P) can continue to operate. The first safety sensor unit (131) can be formed in various forms such as a contact type, a non-contact type, a pressure type, etc. For example, when the first safety sensor unit (131) is a contact type, the first safety sensor unit (131) can come into contact with the sensor operating unit (not shown in the drawing) of the container lid (200) described later in the closed or open state. The first safety sensor unit (131) can come into contact with the sensor operating unit when in the closed state or come into contact with the sensor operating unit when in the open state.

[0050] The first safety sensor unit (131) can be linked with the second safety sensor unit (421) of the extension container body (420) to be described later. That is, when the extension container (400) is mounted on the main container (100), when the second safety sensor unit (421) of the extension container body (420) detects the open or closed state of the extension container (400), the second safety sensor unit (421) can also detect the open or closed state. For example, when the first safety sensor unit (131) is of a contact type, a signal transmission member (132) that transmits the contact of the second safety sensor unit (421) can be arranged between the second safety sensor unit (421) and the first safety sensor unit (131). The signal transmission member (132) can be configured to transmit an electrical signal such as a current or a physical signal such as an external force or pressure. Ultimately, the main body (300) can stop the operation of the processing member (P) based on detection of at least one of the first safety sensor unit (131) and the second safety sensor unit (421).

[0051] However, there are cases where the second safety sensor unit (421) cannot detect whether the container lid (200) is open due to a malfunction or damage. To prepare for such cases, the signal transmission member (132) can be positioned adjacent to the container lid (200). For example, when the first safety sensor unit (131) is of a contact type, the signal transmission member (132) can be positioned adjacent to the upper portion of the extension container (400) and come into contact with the container lid (200). The physical contact between the container lid (200) and the signal transmission member (132) is transmitted to the first safety sensor unit (131), and the first safety sensor unit (131) can detect whether the container lid (200) is open. A signal transmission member (132) like this can enable the first safety sensor unit (131) to detect whether the container lid (200) is open even when the second safety sensor unit (421) is not provided in the extension container (400).

[0052] Referring back to FIGS. 1 to 5, the main container handle (150) is a portion that the user holds so that the user can easily carry the main container (100). The main container handle (150) can be combined with an extension container handle (450) to be described later. That is, as the upper portion of the main container handle is inserted and combined into the insertion groove (451) of the main container handle (150), the mounting state of the extension container (400) can be stably maintained. A hook (160, see FIG. 10) can be formed on the outer surface of the main container handle (150). The hook (160) can be combined by being caught on a hook (240, see FIG. 10) of a container lid handle (230) to be described later. The combination of the hook (160) and the hook (240) can strengthen the combination of the main container (100) and the container lid (200).

[0053] Fig. 6 is a cross-sectional view taken along the cutting line VI-VI of Fig. 2.

[0054] Referring to Fig. 6, in order to maintain the mounting state of the extension container more stably, a catch (151) may be formed on the main container handle (150), and a hook portion (452) including a hook projection (452a) may be formed on the extension container handle, which will be described later. The hook projection (452a) may be caught on the catch projection (151). The hook projection (452a) and the catch projection (151) will be described later.

[0055] The main container coupling part (140) is a part that is connected by being hooked to the extension container lower coupling part (430) and the container lid coupling part (220), which will be described later. As the extension container (400) is selectively mounted on the main container (100), the main container coupling part (140) can also be connected to either the extension container lower coupling part (430) or the container lid coupling part (220). As will be described later, since the extension container lower coupling part (430) and the container lid coupling part (220) are formed in the same shape, the main container coupling part (140) can be connected to the extension container lower coupling part (430) and the container lid coupling part (220). When the extension container (400) is mounted, the main container coupling part (140) can be connected to the extension container lower coupling part (430). When the extension container (400) is not mounted, the main container joint (140) can be joined to the container lid joint (220).

[0056] FIG. 9 is a side view of the main container handle, the extension container handle, and the container lid in an open state according to the first embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 10 is an exploded perspective view of the main container, the extension container, and the container lid according to the first embodiment of the present invention.

[0057] Referring to FIGS. 9 and 10, the container lid (200) opens and closes the receiving space (110) of the main container (100) or the extended space (410) of the extension container (400), and can be detachably coupled to the main container (100) or the extended container (400). That is, when the extended container (400) is not coupled to the main container (100), the container lid (200) can cover at least a portion of the receiving space (110) of the main container (100). When the extended container (400) is coupled to the main container (100), it can cover at least a portion of the extended space (410) of the extension container (400).

[0058] The container lid (200) may include a container lid body (210), a container lid connecting portion (220), and a container lid handle (230). The container lid body (210) may be formed in a plate shape with a through hole (211) formed in the center to cover a portion of the receiving space (110) of the main container (100) or the extended space (410) of the extension container (400). The container lid connecting portion (220) may be detachably connected to the main container connecting portion (140) or the extension container upper connecting portion (440) described later. Whether the container lid (200) is opened may be detected by the first safety sensor portion (131) and the second safety sensor portion (421) described above. In the case where the first safety sensor unit (131) and the second safety sensor unit (421) are contact-type, the container lid (200) may have a sensor operating unit that can contact the first safety sensor unit (131) and the second safety sensor unit (421) formed in a protrusion shape.

[0059] The container lid handle (230) is a part that the user holds so that the user can easily carry the container lid (200). The container lid handle (230) can make the connection with the main container (100) or the extension container (400) more secure. That is, the hook (240) formed on the container lid handle (230) can be connected by being caught on the hook projection (160) of the main container handle (150) described above, or can be connected by being caught on the hook projection (460) of the extension container handle (450) described later.

[0060] The main body (300) can operate the processing member (P) by having the main container (100) installed thereon and being connected to the processing member (P). The main body (300) can include a control module (not shown in the drawing) that controls a motor that operates the processing member (P) and the rotation speed and time of the motor. The control module can operate the processing member (P) by operating a screw (S) coupled to the processing member (P). The screw (S) and the processing member (P) can be rotated at different rotation speeds by a reducer or the like. The main body (300) can include a juice extracting unit (600) that generates juice by compressing cut food ingredients input through the input hole of the main container (100). The input food ingredients are compressed or crushed by the screw (S) and the juice extracting container (630) while moving downward along the spiral of the rotating screw (S). At this time, the juice can be discharged to the juice discharge unit (610) through the discharge hole formed in the juice container (630), and the remaining food residue after being juiced can be discharged to the residue discharge unit (620).

[0061] The main body (300) can stop the operation of the processing member (P) especially when the first safety sensor unit (131) and the second safety sensor unit (421) detect the open state of the main container (100) or the extension container (400).

[0062] Referring to FIG. 4, the extension container (400) forms an extension space (410) that expands the accommodation space (110) of the main container (100), is connected to the accommodation space (110) of the main container (100), and can be selectively mounted on the main container (100). When the accommodation space (110) of the main container (100) cannot accommodate additionally introduced food ingredients, the extension container (400) can be mounted on the main container (100). Not just one extension container (400) but multiple extension containers (400) can be mounted in an overlapping manner.

[0063] The extension container (400) may include an extension container body (420), an extension container lower coupling portion (430), and an extension container upper coupling portion (440). The extension container body (420) may be connected to the receiving space (110) of the main container (100). The extended space (410) of the extension container body (420) may accommodate additional food ingredients added during food processing.

[0064] The extension container body (420) may be formed in a cylindrical shape with an open top and bottom to form an expansion space. The extension container body (420) may be formed in various shapes, such as a cylindrical shape or a square shape with an open top and bottom. The extension container body (420) may include a side wall (422) forming an expansion space (410). A portion of the side wall (422) may be formed to slope outward as it goes upward. As a portion of the side wall (422) is formed to slope, the expansion space (410) can be further secured.

[0065] An extension container lower coupling part (430) may be formed on one side of the lower portion of the extension container body (420), and an extension container upper coupling part (440) may be formed on one side of the upper portion.

[0066] The extension container body (420) may include a second safety sensor unit (421). The second safety sensor unit (421), like the first safety sensor unit (131) of the main container body (130) described above, can detect whether the container lid (200) is open. The second safety sensor unit (421) and the first safety sensor unit (131) have detection targets of the expansion space (410) of the extension container (400) and the receiving space (110) of the main container body (130), and the only difference in detection targets is that their functions and structures are the same, and thus a detailed description thereof will be omitted.

[0067] When the extension container (400) is mounted, the open and closed states of the extension container body (420) can be detected to determine whether to stop the processing member (P). When the second safety sensor unit (421) detects the open or closed state of the extension container body (420), the first safety sensor unit (131) can also detect the open or closed state of the extension container body (420) by interlocking with the second safety sensor unit (421). In this way, even when the extension container (400) is mounted, safety accidents can be prevented by interlocking the second safety sensor unit (421) and the first safety sensor unit (131).

[0068] FIG. 11 is a partially exploded view of the extension container handle of FIG. 12, FIG. 12 is a drawing showing a process in which the main body of the extension container and the main container body of the juicer according to the first embodiment of the present invention are separated and the extension container lid is opened, and FIG. 13 is an enlarged view of area XIII of FIG. 12.

[0069] Referring to FIGS. 11 to 13, the extension container handle (450) is a portion that a user holds so that the user can easily carry the extension container (400). The extension container handle (450) can be combined with the main container handle (150) described above. As the extension container body (420) is mounted on the main container body (130), the lower portion of the extension container handle (450) and the upper portion of the main container handle (150) can be combined. An insertion groove (451) can be formed in the lower portion of the extension container handle (450) so that a portion of the upper portion of the main container handle (150) can be inserted. As the upper portion of the main container handle (150) is inserted and combined into the insertion groove (451) of the extension container handle (450), the mounting state of the extension container (400) can be stably maintained.

[0070] Referring to Fig. 6, in order to maintain the mounting state of the extension container (400) more stably, a hook portion (452) may be formed on the extension container handle (450). The hook projection (452a) of the hook portion (452) may be caught on a catch (151) formed on the main container handle (150). A lock release button (453) for releasing the catch between the hook projection (452a) and the catch (151) may be formed on the extension container handle (450). The lock release buttons (453) may be formed in the same number as the hook portions (452). The lock release buttons (453) may push out the hook portion (452) to release the catch. The path along which the hook portion (452) is pushed out may be guided by a guide member (455). By pressing the unlock button (453), the user can release the engagement between the hook projection (452a) and the catch (151) and separate the extension container (400) from the main container (100).

[0071] In Fig. 6, the hook portion (452) and the unlock button (453) are formed on the extension container handle (450), and the catch (151) is formed on the main container handle (150). However, conversely, the hook portion (452) and the unlock button (453) may be formed on the main container handle (150), and the hook portion (452) may be formed on the extension container handle (450).

[0072] Referring again to FIGS. 11 to 13, in order to firmly secure the engagement between the hook projection (452a) and the catch (151), an elastically stretchable spring (454) may be placed between the hook portion (452). The spring (454) prevents the engagement between the hook projection (452a) and the catch (151) from being easily released, and it is preferable that the spring (454) be a compression spring that resists a compressive force capable of pushing out the hook portion (452).

[0073] Additionally, a catch (460) may be formed on the outer surface of the extension container handle (450). As described above, the catch (460) of the extension container handle (450) may be caught and coupled with the catch hook (240) of the container lid handle (230). Since the catch (460) of the extension container handle (450) and the catch (160) of the main container handle (150) have in common that they catch on the catch hook (240) of the container lid handle (230), they may be formed in the same position and shape.

[0074] Referring to Fig. 12, a process in which the engaging state of the extension container handle (450) and the main container handle (150) is released, and the engaging state of the extension container (400) and the container lid handle (230) is released will be briefly described. First, when the unlock button (453) is pressed by the user, the unlock button (453) pushes the hook portion (452), and the engaging state of the hook protrusion (452a) and the engaging protrusion (151) can be released. By releasing the engaging state of the hook protrusion (452a) and the engaging protrusion (151), the engaging state of the extension container handle (450) and the main container handle (150) can be released. And, as the hook (240) of the container lid handle (230) is displaced by the user, the hooking state between the hook (240) and the hooking projection (460) of the extension container handle (450) can be released.

[0075] Meanwhile, a fixing groove (not shown in the drawing) may be formed at the bottom of the extension container (400) so as to be stably fixed at the top of the main container (100). The fixing groove may be formed at the bottom of the extension container (400), i.e., the bottom of the extension container body (420). By inserting the top of the main container body (130) into the fixing groove, the mounting state of the extension container (400) may be stably maintained. Instead of forming the fixing groove at the bottom of the extension container body (420), the fixing groove may be formed at the top of the main container body (130). That is, the fixing groove may be formed at either the bottom of the extension container body (420) or the top of the main container body (130).

[0076] Referring to FIG. 5, the extension container lower joint (430) can be detachably coupled to the main container joint (140).

[0077] The extension container upper coupling part (440) is a part coupled to the aforementioned container lid coupling part (220). As the extension container (400) is optionally mounted on the main container (100), the extension container upper coupling part (440) can also be coupled to the container lid coupling part (220). The container lid coupling part (220) is identical to the aforementioned main container coupling part (140) in that it can be coupled to the container lid coupling part (220). Therefore, the container lid coupling part (220) can be formed in the same shape as the main container coupling part (140).

[0078] In the above description, considering that the main container coupling part (140) is coupled with the container lid coupling part (220) or the extension container lower coupling part (430), and that the extension container upper coupling part (440) is coupled with the container lid coupling part (220), there are similar points in the coupling structure. The three coupling structures, that is, the coupling structure of the main container coupling part (140) and the container lid coupling part (220), the coupling structure of the main container coupling part (140) and the extension container lower coupling part (430), and the coupling structure of the extension container upper coupling part (440) and the container lid coupling part (220), may be identical to each other. Accordingly, the extension container (400) or the container lid (200) may be coupled to the main container (100), and the container lid (200) may be coupled to the extension container.

[0079] Figure 14 is a cross-sectional drawing showing the process of mounting an extension container according to the first embodiment of the present invention.

[0080] Referring to Fig. 14, first, the main container coupling portion (140) and the container lid coupling portion (220) are released from each other, and the container lid (200) is separated from the main container (100). Next, the main container coupling portion (140) and the lower coupling portion of the extension container (400) are coupled, and the extension container (400) is seated on the main container (100). The separated container lid (200) is coupled to the extension container (400). After the separated container lid (200) is coupled to the extension container (400), the extension container (400) can be seated on the main container (100).

[0081] Fig. 15 is a cross-sectional view showing another embodiment of the main container and extension container of Fig. 5.

[0082] Referring to Fig. 15, the extension container lower coupling portion (1430) of the extension container (400) may be formed at the lower end of the extension container body (420). The extension container lower coupling portion (1430) may be formed to extend downward from the lower end of the extension container body (420). In this case, the coupling structure of the main container coupling portion (140) and the container lid coupling portion (220) and the coupling structure of the extension container upper coupling portion (440) and the container lid coupling portion (220) are the same, and the extension container lower coupling portion (1430) may be inserted into the main container body (130).

[0083] In order to securely connect the lower joint of the extension container (1430) and the main container body (130), corresponding screw threads (not shown in the drawing) may be formed on the outer surface of the lower joint of the extension container (1430) and the inner surface of the main container body (130).

[0084] Figure 16 is a cross-sectional drawing showing the process of mounting the extension container of Figure 15.

[0085] Referring to Fig. 16, first, the main container coupling part (140) and the container lid coupling part (220) are released from each other, and the container lid (200) is separated from the main container (100). Then, as the extension container lower coupling part (1430) is inserted into the main container (100), the extension container (400) is coupled to the main container (100). The separated container lid (200) is coupled to the extension container (400).
