Description

Toilet guide member and bag-type diaper

[0001] The present invention relates to a member that can be used by contacting the anus to allow defecation, that can reduce the spread of soiling of the anus and intergluteal cleft (hereinafter simply referred to as the "anal area") by feces, and that can be replaced hygienically.

[0002] The present invention also relates to a disposable bag-type diaper that has a bag for collecting feces using the above-mentioned material, which can reduce the spread of unpleasant fecal stains around the anus and the emission of bad odors, and can be easily and hygienically put on, taken off, and disposed of.

[0003] Conventional disposable diapers are generally classified into pants-type and wrap-around-type diapers, and many of them use absorbent polymers to absorb excrement. However, other inventions have been disclosed, such as a method in which a feces delivery tube is attached to the periphery of the anus with an adhesive instead of an absorbent polymer, and the feces is guided into a collection compartment (see Patent Document 1), and a diaper with excrement collection bags that has an opening at the contact point between the genitals and the anus and is equipped with a feces collection bag and a urine collection bag (see Patent Document 2).

[0004] However, pants-type and wrap-around diapers have the problem of being time-consuming to put on and take off. Meanwhile, when a stool tube is used, there is a risk of feces reflux, and the presence of the stool tube can cause discomfort in the buttocks when wearing the diapers. Furthermore, diapers with waste collection bags also have problems, such as the feces not being properly collected from the opening into the bag and spreading across the buttocks, creating unsanitary conditions and discomfort for the wearer. Additionally, as the super-aging society progresses, disposable diapers made with absorbent polymers are generating increasing amounts of waste every year, placing a strain on incineration facilities and the environment.

[0024] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described. Note that these embodiments are merely examples shown for the convenience of explanation, and the present invention is not limited to these embodiments in any sense.

[0025] FIG. 1 is an overall plan view of the disposable bag-type diaper of the present invention, which is mainly composed of a bag-shaped main body (1) made of a sealed, non-water-permeable film, a guide member (2) formed near the center of the main body, and an adhesive part (3) for fixing.

[0026] The main body (1) is a sealable bag-like structure made of a non-permeable film having an inner surface (1a) that comes into contact with human skin, an outer surface (1b) on the reverse side, and a storage section (1c), and is primarily used to receive and store feces.

[0027] The material is preferably polyethylene, polypropylene, or other polymeric material, but naturally decomposable materials such as water-repellent paper or biodegradable plastics can also be used.

[0028] If the wearer is a carrier of infectious bacteria and sanitary management of dangerous excrement is required, the main body (1) can be specially colored as a whole or labeled with handling precautions to ensure safety in final disposal after use and to prevent misunderstanding.

[0029] The outer peripheral contour shape of the main body (1) is suitable because it is most easily available and does not generate waste during production.

[0030] The size of the main body (1) is set to a volume of approximately 200cc to 450cc, based on the fact that the amount of stool an adult defecates in one sitting is approximately the same as one to two normal-sized bananas. In the case of a rectangular plastic film bag, the external dimensions are approximately 300mm in length and 230mm in width, and can be made smaller or larger depending on the wearer's build, the amount of stool defecated based on the amount of food eaten, the urgency of various care procedures, and other factors.

[0031] The inner surface (1a) is the surface that comes into direct contact with the human body and skin, but a guide member (2) is provided in the center, and adhesive parts (3) for fixing are provided on the top and side parts, and the other parts are covered with a top sheet (6) that is less irritating to the skin, improving the comfort and feel of use and reducing the burden on the skin.

[0032] The outer surface (1b) is the reverse side of the inner surface (1a), and in its center is displayed a center mark (9) corresponding to the formation position of the bowel guide member (2) on the inner surface (1a), particularly the position of the bowel guide line-shaped notch (5) or bowel guide hole (5') in the adhesive surface (4). By using this as a guide when putting on the garment, the bowel guide member (2) can be accurately aligned and attached to the wearer's anus.

[0033] Fig. 3 shows a bottom view of the bag-type diaper according to the present invention, and by aligning a finger with the center mark (9) and pressing it, the bowel guide member (2) can be accurately attached to the anus. Fig. 10 shows how the bowel guide member (2) is aligned with the anus when putting on such a bag-type diaper according to the present invention.

[0034] The toilet guide member (2) is installed in the center of the inner surface (1a) of the main body (1), has an adhesive surface (4) on the inner surface (1a), and comprises a toilet guide line-shaped notch (5) or toilet guide hole (5') formed so as to penetrate from the adhesive surface (4) to the inner surface (1a) of the main body (1), and a pickup portion (7) located on the outer periphery of the adhesive surface (4) for easily peeling the adhesive surface from the wearer's skin after use of the bag-type diaper.

[0035] The defecation guide member (2) is installed near the center of the inner surface (1a) of the main body (1), and its position is most preferably in the center of the two halves of the bag-type diaper of the present invention both vertically and horizontally, taking into consideration the position of the anus through which defecation occurs and the possibility of slight misalignment when putting on or while wearing the bag-type diaper.

[0036] The feces guide member (2) functions as an opening for guiding feces into the main body (1) when the wearer of the bag-type diaper of the present invention defecates, and as a blocking part for preventing the feces from returning when defecation is completed.

[0037] For this purpose, the fecal guide member (2) is attached to the anus and intergluteal cleft with its adhesive surface (4), and during defecation, the fecal guide line slit (5) or fecal guide hole (5') opens, following the shape of the anus, and the feces are guided into the bag, which is the storage section (1c) of the main body (1) through the fecal guide line slit (5) or fecal guide hole (5'), which opens due to the pressure of the defecation passing through. When defecation is completed, the fecal guide line slit (5) or fecal guide hole (5') closes, following the shape of the anus, preventing the feces in the storage section (1c) (or bag) from flowing back and spreading toward the buttocks.

[0038] As described above, the bowel guide member (2) is structured to open and close following the shape of the opening and closing movement of the anus only during defecation, but since the dirt in the anus is basically only in the opening gap of the bowel guide line notch (5) or the bowel guide hole (5'), the buttocks are only slightly soiled, which simplifies the nursing work.

[0039] FIG. 9 shows the opening and closing movement of the bowel guide member (2) following the movement of the anus.

[0040] (o) shows the state in which the bag-type diaper of the present invention is worn along with the wearer's hip line (11) and anus. At this time, the fecal guide slit (5) or fecal guide hole (5') is closed.

[0041] Next, (p) shows the initial state of the wearer's defecation. At this time, the stool begins to come out, and the stool guide slit (5) or the stool guide hole (5') opens slightly following the opening of the wearer's anus.

[0042] Next, (q) shows the state of the wearer during defecation. At this time, feces are continuously discharged, the opening of the wearer's anus is at its maximum, and the opening of the fecal guideway slit (5) or fecal guide hole (5') also becomes larger.

[0043] Finally, (r) shows the state when the wearer has finished defecation. At this time, the fecal guide slit (5) or fecal guide hole (5') closes to its original state following the closing movement of the anus.

[0044] The above-mentioned action of the defecation guide line slit (5) or defecation hole (5') following the opening and closing of the anus is due to the fact that the defecation guide member (2) of the present invention is devised so that the adhesive surface (4) sticks to the wearer's anus in particular.

[0045] The adhesive surface (4) is formed by laminating an adhesive onto a substrate made of a water-impermeable film or an elastomer film. The water-impermeable film can be the same as that used for the main body (1). The elastomer film can be a sheet or film made of stretchable natural or synthetic rubber, and rubbers such as natural rubber latex, water-based or solvent-based polyurethane, or polyisoprene, which are particularly suitable for use because of their excellent stretchability, tensile strength, and safety.

[0046] It is desirable that the adhesive portion of the adhesive surface (4) be the entire adhesive surface, but it does not necessarily have to be the entire adhesive surface, but only a part of it, as long as it can follow the movement of the anus from the start to the end of the wearer's bowel movement and can prevent the spread and contamination of the anal area during and after bowel movement. For example, the center position of the stool guide slit (5) and the vicinity of the pickup area (7) can be made non-adhesive.

[0047] The stool guide line slit (5) or stool guide hole (5') serves to guide the excrement to the storage part (1c) of the main body part (1) and to prevent the excrement from spreading to the buttocks.

[0048] Of course, the linear slit (5) and the guide hole (5') can be used together, for example, the linear slit (5) can be provided on the outer periphery of the guide hole (5').

[0049] Specific examples of the shape of the stool guide linear incision (5) are shown in Figure 8 (h) to (m). That is, there are X-shaped or radial linear incisions based on this, or cross-shaped or cross-shaped linear incisions based on this, with multiple linear incisions. Among these, those without vertical incisions, such as the X-shaped incision, are particularly preferred in order to reduce the spread of stool to the buttocks, genitals, and surrounding areas during defecation.

[0050] Furthermore, when the incisions (5) are X-shaped or cross-shaped or linear incisions based on these, radiating from the center (e.g., h, i, j), a sharp, right-angled or acute-angled incision is formed in the center of the adhesive surface (4), which may cause pain if it pierces the wearer's anal area. In such cases, such pain can be avoided by appropriately cutting the sharp tip of the incision into, for example, a small or large circle or polygon, as shown in (k) or (l).

[0051] On the other hand, by pre-opening a circular or polygonal hole in the center of the stool guide slit (5), it is possible to improve the wearer's comfort and facilitate defecation. In addition, it is possible to reduce the likelihood of the area around the center of the stool guide slit (5) becoming soiled by defecation. Note that if a hole is pre-opened in the center of the stool guide slit (5), it becomes necessary to take measures such as wiping the area around the wearer's anus clean when putting on or taking off the bag-type diaper after use. However, similar measures are required even if such a hole is not provided, and it can be said that this is not a major inconvenience.

[0052] It is also possible to use it to receive urine by extending the stool guide slit (5), but if necessary, some measures must be taken to prevent urine from leaking outside the diaper, such as shaving the hair around the genitals or using a water-absorbing polymer or coagulant in the storage section (1c) of the main body (1).

[0053] An example of the specific shape of the defecation hole (5') is shown in Figure 8 (n). The defecation hole (5') is located approximately in the center of the adhesive surface (4) and has a circular, elliptical or polygonal opening.

[0054] The entire adhesive surface (4) can be made of an elastomer film substrate, or only a portion of the central portion of the adhesive surface (4) can be made of an elastomer film substrate. In either case, the elastomer film substrate is fixed by adhesive or heat sealing to a non-permeable film on the inner surface (1a) of the main body (1) that has been cut and opened to fit the overall shape and size of the defecation guide member (2) or a portion of the center of the defecation guide member (2), and the position of the defecation guide hole (5') is determined and installed.

[0055] The size and shape of the bowel guide member (2) can be freely determined within a range that fits within the center of the inner surface (1a) of the main body (1), but it is necessary to determine the optimum size and shape, firstly to reliably guide the excrement into the storage section (1c) of the main body (1) and to prevent the wearer's buttocks from getting soiled, and secondly, taking into consideration the comfort of wearing it around the wearer's buttocks and anus, and the convenience of placing the adhesive fixing section (3) and top sheet (6).

[0056] As an example, as shown in FIG. 8(h), the length and width are approximately 100 mm to 120 mm and approximately 70 mm to 90 mm, respectively, and the shape is preferably a vertically long rectangle or oval.

[0057] The size of the stool guide slit (5) is designed based on the maximum opening of the wearer's anus. For example, as shown in Figure 8(h), assuming a maximum diameter of stool of approximately 35 mm, the length and width should be approximately 40 mm and 35 mm, respectively.

[0058] Furthermore, the diameter of the opening of the fecal guide hole (5') depends on the elasticity of the elastomer film of the substrate, but since the maximum diameter of stool is about 35 mm, it is desirable that it be less than this, and it is desirable that it be even smaller in order to reduce the spread of stool to the anus and its surroundings. Specifically, the diameter of the opening is preferably about 30 mm or less, more preferably about 20 mm or less, and even more preferably about 15 mm or less.

[0059] The adhesive fixing portion (3) is attached to the wearer's buttocks or the lower back near the tailbone to secure the bag-type diaper of the present invention. As shown in Figure 7, at least one adhesive fixing portion (3) is provided on the inner surface (1a) around the bowel guide member (2), on the outer edge of the inner surface (1a), or on both surfaces. It is desirable to provide multiple adhesive fixing portions (3) to increase the reliability and strength of the fixation to the wearer's body.

[0060] When the adhesive fixing portion (3) is installed only on the inner surface (1a) around the guide member (2), it is preferable to install it continuously or in multiple divided portions on the left and right sides or on the top of the guide member (2).

[0061] When the adhesive fixing part (3) is installed on the outer side of the outer edge of the inner surface (1a), it is installed by using the outer surface (1b) of the main body part (1) and pasting a single-sided adhesive tape so that it partially extends outside the inner surface (1a) of the main body part (1). In this case, it is preferable to install it continuously or in multiple divided parts on the left and right sides or on the top so as to surround the inner surface (1a) of the main body part (1).

[0062] On the other hand, when disposing of the diaper after use, the diaper is folded from the center of the inner surface (1a) as shown in Figure 5, and the adhesive fixing parts (3) are stuck together, and the diaper's waste guide member (2) is sealed once or twice, forming a bag-like structure that encases the waste, which is convenient for disposal.

[0063] The adhesive fixing portion (3) can be formed by applying an adhesive to the inner surface (1a) of the main body portion (1), by attaching a double-sided adhesive tape to the inner surface (1a), or by attaching a single-sided adhesive tape to the outer surface (1b). The position, shape, and area of the adhesive fixing portion (3) can be appropriately changed depending on the wearer's physique, as shown in Figure 7.

[0064] Examples of materials and adhesives used in each part of the adhesive surface (4) or fixing adhesive part (5) of the present invention include, but are not limited to, urethane gel, rubber-based adhesives, acrylic-based adhesives, silicone-based adhesives, and hydrocolloids.

[0065] The top sheet (6) covers the inner surface (1a) that comes into direct contact with the skin, excluding the guide member (2) and the adhesive fixing portion (5), and is hypoallergenic to the skin and permeable to liquids such as water, improving comfort for the wearer.

[0066] Examples of materials for such a top sheet (6) include nonwoven fabrics, woven fabrics, mesh sheets, paper, and plastic films with liquid-permeable holes. Fibers constituting the nonwoven and woven top sheet materials include, for example, polyolefins, polyesters, nylon, cellulose, rayon, and cotton. Examples of polyolefins include polypropylene and polyethylene. Examples of polyesters include polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polybutylene terephthalate. Furthermore, the fibers constituting the nonwoven and woven top sheet materials are preferably hydrophilic fibers or hydrophobic fibers whose surfaces have been made hydrophilic by surface treatment with a surfactant.

[0067] The pickup portion (7) abuts the main body portion (1) in a non-adhesive manner over a predetermined width on all or part of the outer periphery of the adhesive surface (4) of the guide member (2). The pickup portion (7) is not coated with adhesive, so that when removing the bag-type diaper of the present invention after use, the guide member (2) can be easily peeled off from the wearer's body via the pickup portion (7). This prevents the wearer's skin from being easily injured when the adhesive surface (4) is forcibly peeled off with the fingertips or the like.

[0068] The pickup section (7) is made of a flexible material. Examples of flexible materials for the pickup section (7) include paper, rubber, sponge, and other resin materials. Paper materials with a certain degree of flexibility and water resistance are suitable. Examples of rubber materials include silicone rubber, chloroprene rubber, urethane rubber, and ethylene propylene rubber. Examples of sponge materials include cellulose sponge, polyurethane sponge, and melamine sponge. Examples of the resin materials include silicone resin, polyurethane resin, and soft polyvinyl chloride.

[0069] The pickup portion (7) must have a predetermined width and thickness. The width should be approximately 2 mm to approximately 5 mm, with approximately 3 mm being preferable. The thickness should be as thin as possible so that the wearer does not feel uncomfortable when wearing it. The shape of the pickup portion (7) may be continuous or discontinuous, and the width may be constant or variable. It is important to devise a way to make the defecation guide member (2) as easy to peel off as possible.

[0070] The release paper (8) covers the adhesive surface (4) and the surface of the adhesive fixing portion (5) when the bag-type diaper of the present invention is stored, and serves to prevent the adhesive surface and adhesive portion from deteriorating and becoming soiled. When in use, the release paper is peeled off to attach and fix the diaper to the wearer's body.

[0071] The string or band (10) is attached to the outer periphery of the main body (1) as needed to assist in fastening the bag-type diaper of the present invention to the wearer's body, and serves to prevent the diaper from slipping or partially peeling off when the wearer moves around while wearing the bag-type diaper.

[0072] The free ends of the strings or bands (10) can be tied together, or adhesive portions can be formed on the free ends so that they can be attached to each other or to the wearer's body and fixed, or the free ends can be made into hook-and-loop fasteners (pile and hook) so that they can be overlapped and fixed to each other.

[0073] The bag-type diaper of the present invention can be manufactured relatively easily by providing or forming the guide member (2), the adhesive portion for fixing (3), and the skin-contacting top sheet (6) on the inner surface (1a) of the main body (1).

[0074] In this case, there is a manufacturing method in which the guide member (2), adhesive part for fixing (3) and top sheet (6) which are separately prepared in advance are attached to the main body part (1) at predetermined positions.

[0075] Another manufacturing method is to first apply an adhesive to the entire inner surface (1a) of the main body (1) in advance, then attach a top sheet (6) cut to the shape of the part that will come into direct contact with human skin, and then adhesively fix the release paper for the pickup part for the toilet guide member (2), the adhesive surface of the toilet guide member (2), and the adhesive fixing part in their respective predetermined positions, thereby making manufacturing even easier. In other words, with this manufacturing method, the adhesive that has been applied in advance to the entire inner surface (1a) can be used as the adhesive surface (4) of the toilet guide member (2) and the adhesive fixing part (3).

[0076] The method of using the bag-type diaper of the present invention is particularly characterized by bringing the defecation guide line-shaped slit (5) or defecation guide hole (5') of the defecation guide member (2) into contact with the wearer's anus, and adhering the adhesive surface (4) to the wearer's intergluteal cleft including the anus.

[0077] By having the wearer wear the device in this manner, the fecal guide line-shaped notch (5) or fecal guide hole (5') of the fecal guide member (2) can be opened and closed in accordance with the opening and closing of the anus during defecation by the wearer.

[0078] In one example of the method of actually wearing the bag-type diaper of the present invention, the release paper (8) on the adhesive surface (4) of the defecation guide member (2) is first peeled off, and the inner surface (1a) is then placed against the wearer's body, from the buttocks toward the intergluteal cleft. Next, using the center mark (9) on the outer surface (1b) of the main body as a guide, the defecation guide line-shaped incision (5) or defecation guide hole (5') of the defecation guide member (2) is pressed against the wearer's anus with the fingers, thereby adhering the adhesive surface (4) of the defecation guide member (2) to the intergluteal cleft, including the anus. The release paper (8) on the fixing adhesive portion (3) is then peeled off, and the defecation guide member is then adhered to the wearer's buttocks or lower back around the coccyx. If necessary, the diaper can be secured to the wearer's body using an auxiliary fastening string or strap (10).

[0079] After use, the bag-type diaper of the present invention is first peeled off or untied from the adhesive fixing portion (3) and the auxiliary fixing string or band (10), and then the pickup portion (7) of the bowel guide member (2) is used to peel off the adhesive surface (4) of the bowel guide member (2) from the wearer's anus and intergluteal cleft. Then, in preparation for disposal, the bowel guide member (2) is folded along the center from left to right and glued together and sealed as shown in Figure 4. This achieves multiple hygienic functions, such as preventing the leakage of waste from the main body (1) and the resulting release of bacteria, and reducing the emission of foul odors.

[0080] Furthermore, by folding and adhering the adhesive fixing parts (3) around the left, right, top, etc. of the guide member (2) so that they face each other, hygiene and safety can be improved when the diaper is disposed of after use.

[0081] Although the present invention has been described mainly with respect to the disposal of feces, it can also be applied to the disposal of urine. However, since urine is a liquid, there is a risk that leakage may not be sufficiently prevented. In such cases, as described above, improvements can be made by shaving the wearer's body hair to make it easier to adhere and fix the adhesive surface (4) of the feces-guiding member (2) and the adhesive fixing portion (3), or by placing a water-absorbent polymer, a urine coagulant, or the like in the storage portion (1c) of the main body portion (1).

[0082] Examples of the constituent materials of the water-absorbing polymer and the urine coagulant include polyacrylic acid resin, polyaspartic acid resin, and cellulose resin.

[0083] The bag-type diaper of the present invention reduces discomfort for the wearer during use, reduces the labor burden on caregivers by reducing the number of procedures required for changing diapers, and reduces the release of bacteria and odors.Furthermore, since it does not use a water-absorbent polymer, it reduces the total amount of food waste discarded after use and also reduces the environmental impact. In addition, the bag-type diaper of the present invention can be manufactured cheaply and easily, and because it has a small volume, it requires less stockyard space and transportation costs.
