Description

Multipurpose air filter for indoor and outdoor use

[0001] The present invention relates to an indoor / outdoor combined air filter, and more particularly, to a large-capacity indoor / outdoor combined air filter that is easy to maintain.

[0002] As a conventional air filter related to the present invention, the invention disclosed in Korean Patent Registration No. 10-2225440 proposed a structure in which a plurality of filtering filters are installed like a folding screen on the inside of a holding frame. However, maintenance for replacing the filtering filters is difficult, so it is difficult to see continuous effects.

[0003] In contrast, inventions disclosed in Korean Patent Registration No. 10-0602437, etc., propose an air purifier that purifies the indoor air of large public facilities, etc., similar to the present invention, and in particular, have the advantage of automatically cleaning the filter through a spray nozzle that moves left and right. However, due to its large size and relatively high cost, it is difficult to apply as a popular model. Furthermore, because it is an automatic facility, it has the disadvantage of requiring specialized personnel for maintenance.

[0004] In addition, inventions disclosed in Korean Patent Registration No. 10-1321602, Korean Patent Registration No. 10-2338380, etc., propose a wet type air filter like the present invention, but these inventions have a small capacity and are suitable for homes or small offices, and are not suitable for large spaces.

[0005] Meanwhile, the applicant proposed an outdoor wet air filter as shown in Fig. 1 through Korean Patent Registration No. 10-2261682, but as the air introduced through the propeller fan (14) passes through the funnel plate (25) and bounces off the water surface of the reservoir (26), a problem occurred in that a large proportion of contaminants such as dust in the air were not settled in the water but were discharged to the outside together with the air.

[0006] Accordingly, the purpose of the present invention is to provide a multi-purpose air filter for both indoor and outdoor use that is convenient to maintain and, in particular, has a high sedimentation rate of air pollutants.

[0007] In order to achieve the above object, the present invention relates to a multi-purpose air filter for indoor and outdoor use, comprising: a housing having an upper box and a lower box, each having an internal space, which are installed to stand up on a floor surface and are stacked, wherein a circular porous ventilation surface is formed on the front surface of the upper box; a propeller fan installed inside the upper box and rotating around a rotational axis coinciding with the center of the ventilation surface to introduce outside air through the ventilation surface; a frame plate forming a boundary between the upper box and the lower box, the frame plate forming a downwardly inclined surface in an inward direction, and having a rectangular opening on the inside; a water tank accommodated inside the lower box, positioned vertically below the opening, and containing water therein; The present invention provides an indoor / outdoor multipurpose air filter, characterized by including a filter net that is placed on the frame plate and covers the opening, has a plurality of grid-shaped through-holes formed by lattices arranged at regular intervals in the horizontal and vertical directions, and has lower ends of a plurality of microfiber wicks that are hung from at least a portion of the intersections of the plurality of grids forming the corners of the plurality of grid-shaped through-holes so as to touch the surface of the water contained in the reservoir, so that outside air drawn in through the propeller fan is divided and decelerated in the process of being drawn in through the plurality of grid-shaped through-holes and passing between the plurality of microfiber wicks, and dust and foreign substances in the air passing between the plurality of microfiber wicks are adsorbed on the plurality of microfiber wicks or are adsorbed and then fall to the surface of the reservoir and settle; and a lower wall plate that forms the four front, back, left, and right walls of the lower box, and has a plurality of exhaust holes formed on each of the four surfaces of the plate so that air that has passed through the filter net and the reservoir is discharged to the outside through the plurality of exhaust holes.

[0008] Here, the plurality of ultra-fine fiber wicks include a plurality of edge-side ultra-fine fiber wicks that are arranged in a row and hung along adjacent edge-side wicket intersections along the edge of the opening among the plurality of wicket intersections to form a closed curve, and a plurality of inner ultra-fine fiber wicks that are hung and distributed on at least some of the plurality of inner wicket intersections that are distributed in a grid shape on the inside of the edge-side wicket intersections, and the frame plate is formed with a guide wall portion extending downward from the inner end forming the opening, and the guide wall portion controls the outward movement of the plurality of edge-side ultra-fine fiber wicks, thereby allowing air passing through the filter net to smoothly head toward the reservoir, and the air passing through the filter net and the reservoir may pass between the lower end of the guide wall portion and the water surface of the reservoir, and may pass between the outer surface of the guide wall portion and the upper end of the inner wall surface of the reservoir, and then head toward the lower wall plate.

[0009] In addition, an external suction port auxiliary cap may be formed to protrude and be attached along the edge of the porous ventilation surface on the outer surface of the upper box and to be flared outward.

[0010] As described above, according to the multipurpose air filter for both indoor and outdoor use according to the present invention, it is a medium to large-scale air filter that can be used not only outdoors but also indoors such as auditoriums and indoor gymnasiums, and has an excellent air filtration effect while having a simple structure, making it suitable for popular use. Anyone can easily and simply perform maintenance work by replacing the water in the reservoir or removing the filter net, washing it, and then immediately placing it back on the frame plate.

[0016] Figure 6 is a photograph taken on a plane by separating the filter net from Figure 4.

[0017] Fig. 7 is a photograph taken from the front of the filter net of Fig. 6.

[0018] Figure 8 is a partial cross-sectional view illustrating the main configuration and operation of an indoor / outdoor multipurpose air filter according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0019] The indoor / outdoor multipurpose air filter (100) according to the embodiment of the present invention is installed to stand on the floor surface as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, and has a structure of a housing (103) in which an upper box (101) and a lower box (102) are stacked, and each of the upper and lower boxes (101, 102) has an internal space.

[0020] A circular porous ventilation surface (104) is formed on the front surface of the upper box (101), through which outside air is introduced, and an external intake auxiliary cap (105) is attached along the edge of the porous ventilation surface (104). The external intake auxiliary cap (105) is formed to protrude but open outward, so that outside air introduced into the porous ventilation surface (104) is less affected by external environments such as wind, thereby enabling smooth introduction.

[0021] A plurality of exhaust holes (107) are formed on each of the lower wall plates (106) forming the four front, back, left, and right walls of the lower box (102), so that the purified air that flows into the air filter (100) through the porous ventilation surface (104) is discharged back to the outside through the plurality of exhaust holes (107).

[0022] Inside the upper box (101), specifically, inside the porous ventilation surface (104), as shown in FIG. 4, a propeller fan (110) is installed so as to rotate around a central axis that coincides with the center of the porous ventilation surface (104), thereby introducing outside air through the ventilation surface (104).

[0023] Below the propeller fan (110), a frame plate (120) is provided, and the frame plate (120) forms a boundary between the upper box (101 of FIG. 2 or 3) and the lower box (102). As better shown in FIG. 5, the frame plate (120) is formed to form a downward slope as it goes inward, thereby guiding the air flow downward, and has a rectangular opening (121) on the inside.

[0024] In Fig. 5, a water reservoir (130) is accommodated in the lower part of the frame plate (120), i.e., inside the lower box (102 of Fig. 2 or 3) and is placed vertically below the opening (121). Water is contained in the water reservoir (130).

[0025] As can be seen in FIGS. 4 and 5, a filter net (140) is placed on the frame plate (120) to cover the above-described opening (121).

[0026] As can be seen in more detail in Fig. 6, the filter net (140) has a plurality of grid-shaped through holes (143) formed by arranging bars (141, 142) at regular intervals in the horizontal and vertical directions, and a microfiber wick (145) is hung and joined to a plurality of bar intersections (144) forming the corners of the plurality of grid-shaped through holes (143).

[0027] As shown in Fig. 8, when the filter net (140) is installed, the lower part (145a) of the ultra-fine fiber wick (145) touches the water surface of the water tank (130).

[0028] At this time, referring to FIGS. 4 to 6, among the plurality of lattice intersections (144) forming the filter net (140), ultra-fine fiber wicks (145) are hung along the rim-side lattice intersections (144-1) formed adjacent to the rim forming the opening (121 of FIG. 5) of the frame plate (120) and the lattice intersections (141-1, 142-1) between them, and these are arranged in a row to form a rectangular closed curve to form a plurality of rim-side ultra-fine fiber wicks (145-1).

[0029] In addition, a plurality of inner ultra-fine fiber wicks (145-2) are formed by hanging and distributing at least some, if not all, of the inner lattice intersections (144-2) distributed in a grid pattern on the inner side of the above-mentioned border-side lattice intersections (144-1). If the ultra-fine fiber wicks (145) are hung on all the inner lattice intersections (144-2), airflow may be obstructed, so it is desirable to hang them in a limited number appropriate for the conditions.

[0030] The hanging ultra-fine fiber wicks (145) extend downward from the upper lattice net (146) by a certain length as shown in FIG. 7, and the extended lower portion (145a) touches the water surface of the water contained in the reservoir (130) as shown in FIG. 8 when the lattice net (146) is placed on the frame plate (120) as shown in FIG. 4.

[0031] Accordingly, as illustrated in FIG. 4, the outside air drawn in through the porous ventilation surface (104) by the propeller fan (110) is split into a plurality of branches and divided while passing through a plurality of grid-shaped through-holes (143) and between a plurality of microfiber wicks (145) suspended from a plurality of lattice intersections (144), thereby weakening its strength and reducing its speed as it passes. In this process, dust and foreign substances contained in the air are adsorbed on the surface of a plurality of microfiber wicks (145), and the adsorbed dust and foreign substances fall back down and settle on the surface of the water.

[0032] Referring to Fig. 8, the frame plate (120) is formed with a guide wall portion (122) extending downward from the inner end portion forming the opening (121), thereby solving the problem of a plurality of microfiber wicks (145) arranged on the inner side thereof, particularly a microfiber wick (145-1) on the edge side, being blown outward along the path of the wind and landing on the upper end (131) of the water reservoir (130). That is, air passing through the plurality of microfiber wicks (145) by the guide wall portion (122) can be vertically and correctly guided smoothly toward the water contained in the water reservoir (130).

[0033] Meanwhile, the air purified by vertically passing through the water surface of the reservoir (130) and causing dust, foreign substances, etc. to settle in the water passes through the outer surface of the guide wall (122) and the inner wall surface (132) of the reservoir (130), then passes between the upper part (131) of the reservoir (130) and the bottom surface of the frame plate (120), reaches the lower wall plate (106), and is discharged to the outside through a number of exhaust holes (107) formed therein.

[0034] The indoor / outdoor multipurpose air filter (100) described above is only an example to help understand the present invention, and therefore, the scope of rights or technical scope of the present invention defined by the claims described below should not be interpreted as being limited by the above description.
