Description

[0001] CASSETTE FOR A HOSE, METHOD FOR UNWINDING A HOSE FROM A CASSETTE AND USE OF A CASSETTE FOR A HOSE

[0002] FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0003] The invention relates to a cassette for storing a hose, especially a hose for supplying fresh water to a vessel or water for extinguishing a fire. The invention also relates to a method of unwinding a wound-up hose from a cassette storing the wound-up hose and to a use of a cassette for storing a wound-up hose. The cassette for storing the woundup hose comprises a first sidewall and a second sidewall and a bottom and an opening. The bottom and said opening extend between the first and second sidewall. The first and second sidewall and the bottom configure a cavity for holding the wound-up hose.

[0004] BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0005] The invention is for holding, carrying and unwinding a wound-up hose from a cassette indented specifically for these tasks, however, a cassette for holding, carrying and unwinding a hose for supplying water at large facilities such as fresh water for ships docked in a harbor or for supplying water for extinguishing fires onshore or offshore.

[0006] Such hose often has a cross-section much larger than an ordinary water hose for a garden and often has an outer woven texture making such hose more sturdy but also less flexible. Therefore, such hose is also heavier than ordinary water hoses. Special cassettes for storing and carrying such hoses are therefore often needed.

[0007] Especially when handling a hose on offshore facilities such as ships, offshore-wind turbine facilities or offshore oil or gas platform facilities, whether if for a fire drill, for a fire guard service or for extinguishing a fire, a person must carry and unwind the hose from the cassette while at the same time often being exposed to rough weather, so that the person also needs to hold on to a handrail on the offshore facility.

[0008] Most known cassettes for holding, carrying and unwinding a hose of the type mentioned above must be carried with one hand while unwinding the hose from the cassette with the other hand. If not, unwinding the hose exposes a risk of all or part of the still woundup hose being pulled out the cassette when the hose is unwound from the cassette. This risk may be eliminated by winding the hose on a reel of the cassette. However, if the cassette is not provided with a reel, the one hand of the person must be used for carrying the cassette and the other hand must be used for unwinding the hose from the cassette.

[0009] SE 469682 B discloses a hose case for accommodating a hose reel consisting of two coupled-together hoses. The hoses are reeled up in such a way that the coupling elements are placed centrally in the hose reel. The hose case has a configuration matched to the hose reel and a slideway fitted in its bottom for reducing the friction when the hose reel rotates within the case as the hose is pulled out. The hose case has a detachable handle, an opening for insertion of the hose reel and an oblique opening for feed-out of the hoses. The hose case has the disadvantage of the hose case requiring a user reeling out a hose to manually pull the hose from the hose case. Furthermore, handling of the hose case itself is also cumbersome for the user. The user needs to use both hands for handling the hose case and for reeling out the hose from the hose case.

[0010] There is a need for a person, especially on offshore facilities, to be able to carry such cassette with such hose as mentioned above and unwinding such hose from such cassette with the one hand, while still having the other hand free to grip a handrail.

[0011] SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0012] The object of the invention is obtained by a cassette for storing a hose, the cassette comprising

[0013] - a handle attached to an upper part of at least one of the sidewalls, the handle being pivotable between a lowered positioned in relation to the cavity of the cassette and a raised position in relation to the cavity of the cassette,

[0014] - said handle comprising at least one of a first lever pivotally attached to the first sidewall and a second lever pivotally attached to the second sidewall, and the handle comprising a handlebar extending from at least one of the first lever and the second lever at a position on the first lever and / or the second lever distant from where the first lever and / or the second lever are attached to the sidewalls, and

[0015] - said opening being directed sideways in the cassette and extending from a lower part of the cassette and upwards from the lower part, and where a transition between the bottom and the opening is intended for unwinding an end of the hose, said end of the hose being provided with a hose coupling for coupling the hose to a water outlet.

[0016] A cassette where the opening is provided as mentioned above, unwinding of a hose being held in the cassette as a wound-up-up hose may be performed in manner ensuring that the wound-up part of the hose is not being pulled out of the cassette, even if the wound-up hose in the cassette is not wound up around a reel of the cassette.

[0017] According to a preferred embodiment of the invention,

[0018] - the handlebar, when in the lowered position, is configured to exhibit a distance between the handlebar and a hose, when a hose is held in the cassette, being smaller than a smallest cross-sectional extension of the hose coupling so that the hose coupling is prevented from being pulled out from the opening of the cassette, and that

[0019] - the handlebar, when in the raised position, is configured to exhibit a distance between the handlebar and the hose, when the hose is held in the cassette, being larger than a smallest cross-sectional extension of the hose coupling so that the hose coupling is allowed being pulled out from the opening of the cassette.

[0020] With a cassette where the handle is pivotable as mentioned above, unwinding of a hose being held in the cassette as a wound-up-up hose is prevented because the hose coupling in an end of the hose being accessible when the wound-up hose is in held in the cassette cannot be pulled out of the cassette, when the handle is in the lowered position.

[0021] According to a possible embodiment of the invention where the invention comprises a second sidewall, the handle comprises a first lever attached to the first sidewall and a second lever attached to the second sidewall and a handlebar section extending between the first lever and the second lever, said handle when in the lowered position extending inside an opening of the cassette, the opening being formed by a distance between the first sidewall and the second sidewall, and said handle when in the raised position extending outside an opening of the cassette, the opening being formed by a distance between the first sidewall and the second sidewall.

[0022] A cassette where the handle is pivotable as mentioned above, then handle when in the lowered position is not obstructing any possibly limited space for storing the cassette when not in use.

[0023] According to another possible embodiment of the invention, the opening of cassette, through which the hose is intended for being unwound from the cassette when being unwound, is extending between a bottom of the cassette and a top of the cassette, and said opening allowing the hose to be unwound from the cassette in a horizontal direction or obliquely, between 0 degrees and 45 degrees, to a horizontal direction. A cassette where the opening is provided as mentioned above, unwinding of the hose can only be performed in one manner, said one manner eliminating the risk of any part of the hose being wound-up and being held in the cassette is pulled out of the cassette, when the end of the hose with the hose coupling is pulled away from the cassette.

[0024] According to still another possible embodiment of the invention, the cassette is void of a reel for manually or automatically winding the hose around, such that the cassette is configured to store a hose already being wound up before the hose is stored in the cassette.

[0025] A cassette without a reel has the advantage of the hose not having to be wound-up during insertion of the hose into the cassette. However, a cassette without a reel also increases the risk of any part of the hose being wound-up and being held in the cassette is pulled out of the cassette when the end of the hose with the hose coupling is pulled away from the cassette. However, by the cassette according to the invention, even for a cassette without a reel around which the hose is wound up, such risk is eliminated.

[0026] According to yet another possible embodiment of the invention, the bottom of the cassette exhibits part of a curved substantially circular configuration, and that the cassette is configured to store a hose, which, when stored in the cassette, is wound in a substantially circular configuration, and the hose being stored such that at least part of the hose is supported by at least part of the curved configuration of the bottom of the cassette.

[0027] A cassette with a bottom having shape corresponding to a wound-up hose supports the hose, when placed in the cassette in a manner further limiting the risk of any part of the hose being wound-up and being held in the cassette is pulled out of the cassette when the end of the hose with the hose coupling is pulled away from the cassette.

[0028] According to still yet another possible embodiment of the invention where the invention comprises a second sidewall, a lower part of the opening of the cassette is provided with a roller extending across the opening between an inner surfaces of the first sidewall and of the second sidewall, respectively, the roller being configured to support and be passed by an outer winding of the hose, when unwinding the hose from the cassette.

[0029] A cassette with a roller positioned as mentioned above eases unwinding of the hose from the cassette, which is especially important if the person unwinding the hose from the cassette is limited to only using the one hand for carrying the cassette and not having the other hand free for pulling the wound-up hose from the cassette.

[0030] The object of the invention may also be obtained by a method for unwinding a substantially circularly wound-up hose from a cassette according to the invention holding the wound-up hose, said unwinding of the hose performed by the following steps:

[0031] - lifting a handle of the cassette from a lowered position where a hose coupling is prevented from being pulled from the cassette to a raised position where the hose coupling is allowed being pulled from the cassette,

[0032] - said coupling, when positioned in the cassette is positioned at a top the wound-up hose and said coupling when positioned in the cassette is positioned so that the wound-up hose extends counter-clockwise, when viewed perpendicular to and towards the first sidewall, and clockwise when viewed perpendicular to and towards the second sidewall,

[0033] - unwinding the hose coupling from the cassette by pulling the hose coupling sideways away from the opening of the cassette, the wound-up hose thereby unwinding in a manner so that windings of the hose unwind from a bottom of the windings of the wound-up hose.

[0034] Unwinding the hose from the cassette according to the method of the invention ensures that a risk is eliminated of any part of the hose being wound-up and being held in the cassette is pulled out of the cassette when the end of the hose with the hose coupling is pulled away from the cassette. Furthermore, the features of the cassette together with the method according to the invention allows a person to carry the cassette and to unwind the hose from the cassette easily by limiting the forces needed for unwinding the hose, and safely by eliminating the risk of the hose being pulled out of the cassette. Also, the cassette together with the method according to the invention allows a person to carry the cassette and to unwind the hose from the cassette by use of only one hand.

[0035] According to a preferred aspect of the method according to the invention, the method is performed by one of the following ways of performing the method:

[0036] - attaching the hose coupling to water outlet, a person lifting and thereby carrying the cassette by use of the handle, the person moving away from the water outlet thereby unwinding the hose from the cassette during moving away for the water outlet, or

[0037] - positioning the cassette close to a water outlet, a person grabbing the hose coupling, the person moving away from the water outlet and away from the cassette and thereby unwinding the hose from the cassette during moving away for the water outlet. Unwinding the hose from the cassette may be performed in two ways, depending on the use of the hose for supplying water and depending on whether the hose is to be coupled to water outlet or is to be coupled to another hose to extend the overall extension of a plurality of hoses or is to be unwound from the cassette by a person pulling one end of the hose from the cassette. Either the hose coupling at the one end of the hose is attached to a water outlet being in a fixed position, or the hose coupling at the one end of the hose is attached to another hose coupling of another hose or the cassette is left where it is while the person pulls the one end of the hose away from the cassette.

[0038] In the two firstly mentioned situations, the cassette is carried by a person away from the water outlet or away from the other hose after the hose coupling is coupled to the water outlet or to the other hose. Because of the advantages of the cassette together with the method according to the invention, carrying away the cassette results in the part of the hose being wound-up and held in the cassette not being pulled out of the cassette.

[0039] The object of the invention may also be obtained by use of a cassette according to the invention for unwinding a hose by the method according to the invention, said use being performed by a person attaching a hose coupling to a water outlet, by the person by use of the handlebar carrying the cassette from the water outlet to a place where an end of the hose, opposite to the hose coupling attached to the water outlet, is needed.

[0040] According to a preferred aspect of the use according to the invention, said use being performed on an offshore site such as an offshore oil or gas platform, an offshore wind turbine platform or a ship, and the use consisting in the person by use of one hand carrying the cassette by grabbing the handlebar of the cassette, and in the person by use of the other hand holding on to a handrail of a platform, a handrail of stairs or a handrail of a deck of ship.

[0041] In all situations where the cassette according to the invention is used by the method according to the invention, unwinding the hose from the cassette, either by the one end of the hose being coupled to a water outlet or to another hose and the person carrying the cassette while the hose unwinds, or by the cassette being left where it is and the person unwinding the hose from the cassette by pulling the one end of the hose away from the cassette, unwinding according to the invention is faster than previous methods of unwinding requiring both hands for unwinding the hose, and unwinding according to the invention is safer than previous methods of unwinding risking the still unwound part of the hose being pulled out of the cassette during unwinding of the hose. Also, in all situations where the cassette according to the invention is used by the method according to the invention, unwinding the hose from the cassette, either by the one end of the hose being coupled to a water outlet or to another hose and the person carrying the cassette while the hose unwinds, or by the cassette being left where it is and the person unwinding the hose from the cassette by pulling the one end of the hose away from the cassette, unwinding according to the invention does not risk folding or twisting of the hose, because the person unwinding the hose only handles the one end of the hose and does not handle other parts of the hose during unwinding.

[0042] Essentially, the possibility of the person handling, by use of one hand only, the cassette or the one end of the hose, whether if for a fire drill, for a fire guard service or for extinguishing a fire, gives the person the other hand free to grab a railing, thereby eliminating a risk for personal injury or even the person possibly falling overboard from an offshore facility, from a ship or from an off-shore vessel.

[0048] DETALED DESCRIPTION OF AN EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

[0049] Fig. 1, Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 show a cassette for holding and transporting a hose, such as a water hose for supplying fresh water to a vessel or for supplying water for extinguishing fires. The cassette is primarily for offshore use where specific requirements prevail.

[0050] In the embodiment shown, the cassette has a first sidewall 1, a second sidewall 2 and a bottom 3. A cavity 4 for storing a hose of the type mentioned is configured between the sidewalls 1,2 and the bottom 3. The bottom 3 extends along a lower part of the cassette and along a rear of the cassette. In the embodiment shown, the bottom 3 along the lower part has a curved shape with a curvature preferably constituting part of circular curvature.

[0051] At the top of the cassette, a handle 5 is provided. The handle 5 is constituted by a first lever 6 attached to the first sidewall 1 and a second lever 7 attached to the second sidewall 2. At the position where the first lever 6 and the second lever 7, respectively, are attached to the sidewalls 1,2, the levers 6,7 are pivotable in relation to the sidewalls

[0052] 1.2. Between other ends of the levers 6,7, opposite to the ends attached to the sidewalls

[0053] 1.2, a handlebar 8 extends between the levers 6,7. The handlebar 8 extends between the side walls and across the top of the cassette.

[0054] In the embodiment shown in Fig. 1, Fig. 2 and Fig. 3, the handle consists of handlebar 8 extending between both a first lever 6 and a second lever 7. Thereby, the structural rigidity of the handle is good. In an alternative embodiment, the handlebar may extend from only one lever, and the alternative embodiment omitting the lever from which no handlebar is extending.

[0055] In the embodiment shown in Fig. 1, Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 and in the position of the handle 5 as shown in these figures, the handle 5 is in an upright position in relation to the opening 9 of the cassette, the opening 9 being formed by the distance between the first sidewall 1 and the second sidewall 2 and where the bottom 3 does not extend between the sidewalls 1,2.

[0056] In the embodiment shown, the opening 9 extends along most of the front of the cassette and along the entire top of the cassette. In other embodiments, the opening 9 may have a more limited extension along the front of the cassette and / or along the top of the cassette. The opening 9 may also be provided with a lid extending along an extension at the front of the cassette and / or along an extension at the top of the cassette.

[0057] However, in the embodiment shown, the opening 9 must be large enough to insert a wound-up hose into the cassette. In the embodiment shown, the cassette is void of a reel to wind the hose around. Thus, the hose must be wound up before being inserted into the cassette. In other embodiments, the cassette may be provided with a reel to wind the hose around. If so, the hose is wound up while being inserted into the cassette.

[0058] When the handle 5 is in the upright position, the cassette is ready to be lifted and carried by a person by means of the person with one hand grabbing the handlebar 8 of the handle 5. The other hand of the person is free to hold on to a handrail of a platform, on a handrail of stairs of or handrail of a deck on a ship, when the person carries the cassette.

[0059] An opening 9 is configured opposite the rear of the cassette. The opening 9 extends from the foremost part of the bottom 3 and upwards therefrom. In the embodiment shown, the opening 9 extends all the way from the foremost part of the bottom 3 to the top of the cassette. In other embodiments, the opening 9 extends from the foremost part of the bottom 3 and only partly upwards toward the top of the cassette. The remaining part of the top of the cassette may be closed off, possibly by a lid that may be opened, to enable insertion of a hose through the top and into the cavity 4 of the cassette.

[0060] At a lowest part of the opening 9, a roller 10 is provided. The roller 10 extends between inner surfaces of the first sidewall 1 and the second sidewall 2. The roller 10 can roll around a central axis of the roller 10 in relation to the inner surfaces of the sidewalls 1,2. The roller 10 is intended for easing unwinding of the wound hose by limiting friction between the hose being unwound and the lower part of the opening 9 through which the hose is unwound from the cassette when the hose is being unwound from the cassette.

[0061] Fig. 4 shows the cassette with a wound-up hose inserted and with the handle 5 in a lowered position in relation to the opening 9 of the cassette. The hose 11 is wound in a so-called single donut winding, but the winding could also be a so-called double donut. When the handle 5 is in the lowered position, a distance between the handlebar 8 and an outermost winding of the hose 11 is relatively small. In the situation shown, the handlebar 8 abuts the outermost winding of the hose 11 so that the distance between the handlebar 8 and the outermost winding of the hose is zero. In other situations, perhaps there is a small distance between the handlebar 8 and the outermost winding of the hose 11. An end 12 of the hose 11 normally has a hose coupling (not shown, see Fig. 6 and Fig. 7) attached. The distance between the handlebar 8 and the outer winding of the hose 11 is smaller than a smallest cross-sectional dimension of the hose coupling. Thereby, the hose coupling is prevented from passing the handlebar 8 resulting in the hose 11 being prevented from unintentionally being unwound from the cassette.

[0062] Fig. 5 shows the cassette with a wound-up hose 11 inserted and with the handle 5 in a raised position in relation to the opening 9 of the cassette. The hose 11 is wound in a so- called single donut winding, but the winding could also be a so-called double donut. When the handle 5 is in the raised position, a distance between the handle 5 and the outermost winding of the hose 11 is relatively large. In the situation shown, the handlebar 8 is relatively far distanced from the outermost winding of the hose 11 so that the distance between the handlebar 8 and the outermost winding of the hose 11 is relatively large. The distance between the handlebar 8 and the outer winding of the hose 11 is larger than at least a smallest cross-sectional dimension of the hose coupling. Thereby, the hose coupling is allowed passing the handlebar 8 resulting in the hose 11 being allowed intentionally being unwound and pulled from the cassette. The hose is intended for being pulled from the lowermost part of the opening of the cassette, along the roller, and the hose is preferably pulled from the cassette in a horizontal direction or obliquely, between 0 degrees and 45 degrees, to a horizontal direction.

[0063] Fig. 6, like Fig. 4, also shows the cassette with a wound-up hose 11 inserted into cavity 4 (see Fig. 1-3) of the cassette. The hose 11 is wound in a so-called single donut winding, but the winding could also be a so-called double donut. When the handle 5 is in the lowered position, a distance between the handle 5 and the outermost winding of the hose 11 is small. In the situation shown, the handlebar 8 abuts the outermost winding of the hose 11 so that the distance between the handlebar 8 and the outermost winding of the hose 11 is zero. In other situations, perhaps there is a small distance between the handlebar 8 and the outermost winding of the hose 11. The distance between the handlebar 8 and the outer winding of the hose 11 is smaller than at least a smallest cross-sectional dimension of the hose coupling 13.

[0064] Because the handle 5 with the handlebar 8 is abutting the outermost winding of the hose 11, or at least exhibits a relatively small distance between the handlebar 8 and the outermost winding of the hose 11, the hose coupling 13 cannot be pulled out of the cassette, and the hose coupling 13 cannot unintentionally and accidentally pass the handlebar 8 and fall out of the cassette. Accordingly, when stored, even in rough weather offshore, and when transported, even in rough weather offshore, and before the hose 11 needs to be unwound, there is no risk of the hose 11 unwinding unintentionally, because the handle 5 with the handlebar 8 prevents the hose coupling 13 from accidentally falling out of the cassette and prevents the hose 11 from unintentionally unwinding, more or less, from the cassette.

[0065] Fig. 7, like Fig. 5, also shows the cassette with a wound-up hose 11 inserted and with part of the hose 11 being unwound and pulled from the cassette. The hose 11 is wound in a so-called single donut winding, but the winding could also be a so-called double donut. The distance between the handlebar 8 and the outer winding of the hose 11 is larger than at least a smallest cross-sectional dimension of the hose coupling 13.

[0066] Because the handle 5 with the handlebar 8 is raised from the outermost winding of the hose 11, and therefore exhibits a relatively large distance D between the handlebar 8 and the outermost winding of the hose 11, the hose coupling 13 can be pulled out of the cassette, and the hose coupling 13 can pass the handlebar 8 and be pulled from the cassette. Accordingly, when carried, even in rough weather offshore, and when pulled out from the cassette, even in rough weather offshore, when the hose 11 needs to be unwound, there is nothing preventing the hose 11 from being unwound, because the handle 5 with the handlebar 8 allows the hose coupling 13 from being pulled out from the cassette and allows the hose 11 intentionally being unwound, more or less, from the cassette. The hose is pulled from the lowermost part of the opening of the cassette, along the roller, and the hose is preferably pulled from the cassette in a horizontal direction or obliquely, between 0 degrees and 45 degrees, to a horizontal direction.

[0067] A use of the cassette may be so that when the handle is in the raised position the hose coupling is pulled out of the cassette by a person handling the cassette and the hose. The hose coupling is then attached to water outlet or to another hose coupling of another hose. Thereafter, when the handle is grabbed by the person and the person is carrying the cassette towards a position where another end of the hose is needed, said other end of the hose being at the innermost winding of the hose, opposite to the end of the hose with the house coupling attached to the water outlet or to the other hose.

[0068] During the person's carrying and transporting the cassette towards the position where the other end of the hose is needed during grabbing the handlebar with one hand, the hose is unwound from the cassette. However, because of the unwinding being performed from the lowermost part of the opening, the remaining roll of still unwound part of the hose remains in the cassette without the roll of the still unwound part of the hose being pulled out of the cassette. And, because the hose is unwound while remaining in the cassette during unwinding, the person has the other hand free for possible other use like grabbing a railing, as example if the person is on an offshore location or on a ship.

Cassette according to any of the preceding claims, where the opening (9) of cassette, through which the hose (11) is intended for being unwound from the cassette when being unwind, is extending between a bottom (3) of the cassette and a top of the cassette, and said opening (9) allowing the hose (11) to be unwound from the cassette in a horizontal direction or obliquely, between 0 degrees and 45 degrees, to a horizontal direction.

5. Cassette according to any of the preceding claims, where the cassette is void of a reel for manually or automatically winding the hose (11) around, such that the cassette is configured to store a hose (11) already being wound up before the hose (11) is stored in the cassette.

6. Cassette according to any of the preceding claims, where the bottom (3) of the cassette exhibits part of a curved substantially circular configuration, and that the cassette is configured to store a hose (11), which, when stored in the cassette, is wound in a substantially circular configuration, the hose (11) being stored such that at least part of the hose (11) is supported by at least part of the curved configuration of the bottom (3) of the cassette.

7. Cassette according to any of the preceding claims and comprising a second sidewall (2), where a lower part of the opening (9) of the cassette is provided with a roller (10) extending across the opening (9) between inner surfaces of the first sidewall (1) and of the second sidewall (2), respectively, and the roller (10) being configured to support and be passed by an outer winding of the hose (11), when unwinding the hose (11) from the cassette.

8. Method for unwinding a substantially circularly wound-up hose (11) from a cassette according to any of claims 1-7, said cassette holding the wound-up hose (11), said unwinding of the wound-up hose (11) performed by the following steps:- lifting a handle (5) of the cassette from a lowered position where a hose coupling (13) is prevented from being pulled out from the cassette to an upright position where the hose coupling (13) is allowed being pulled out from the cassette,- said coupling, when positioned in the cassette is positioned at a top the wound-up hose (11) and said coupling when positioned in the cassette is positioned so that the woundup hose (11) extends counter-clockwise, when viewed perpendicular to and towards the first sidewall (1), and clockwise when viewed perpendicular to and towards the second sidewall (2),- unwinding the hose coupling (13) from the cassette by pulling the hose coupling (13) sideways away from the opening (9) of the cassette, the wound-up hose (11) thereby unwinding in a manner so that windings of the hose (11) unwind from a lower part of the windings of the wound-up-up hose (11).

9. Method according to claim 8, where the method is performed by one of the following ways of performing the method:- attaching the hose coupling (13) to water outlet, a person lifting and thereby carrying the cassette by use of the handle, the person moving away from the water outlet thereby unwinding the hose (11) from the cassette during moving away for the water outlet, or- positioning the cassette close to a water outlet, a person grabbing the hose coupling (13), the person moving away from the water outlet and away from the cassette and thereby unwinding the hose (11) from the cassette during moving away for the water outlet.

10. Use of a cassette according to any of claims 1-7 for unwinding a hose (11) by the method according to claim 8 or 9, said use performed by a person attaching a hose coupling (13) to a water outlet, by the person by use of the handlebar (8) carrying the cassette from the water outlet to a place where an end of the hose (11), opposite to the hose coupling (13) attached to the water outlet, is needed.

11. Use according to claim 10, the use being performed on an offshore site such as an offshore oil or gas platform, an offshore wind turbine platform or a ship, and the use consisting in the person by use of one hand carrying the cassette by grabbing the handlebar (8) of the cassette, and in the person by use of the other hand holding on to a handrail of a platform, a handrail of stairs or a handrail of a deck of a ship.
