Abstract

The present disclosure provides a method for providing information by an electronic device, the method comprising the steps of: identifying information of a coupon provided to a customer; configuring a page for the customer on the basis of the information of the coupon; and providing the page to the customer. The step of configuring a page comprises a step of determining a method for guiding the information of the coupon on the basis of the coupon's expiration time information included in the information of the coupon. The electronic device configures a page on the basis of the method for guiding the information of the coupon.

Description

Device and method for providing a page for a customer based on coupon information

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a device and method for providing a page for a customer based on coupon information. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to an electronic device and method for verifying coupon information provided to a customer, determining a method for providing coupon information based on coupon expiration time information, and configuring and providing a page to the customer based on the method for providing coupon information.

[0002] With the advancement of electronic technology, e-commerce has become a distinct form of shopping. Customers can purchase items online without having to visit a physical shopping mall or market, and items purchased online are delivered to the customer's requested delivery address.

[0003] Looking at the e-commerce process, customers can browse items for sale through a computer or other Internet-connected terminal, review detailed information about items of interest, and then decide whether to purchase them.

However, there have been issues with these services, such as customers not being clearly aware of the available benefits or not being able to determine whether the benefits are valid (e.g., expiration date), which prevents these benefits from effectively increasing customer satisfaction and item sales. For example, customers may not be aware of the available discounts on certain items and therefore do not purchase them. Furthermore, customers may misunderstand that a discount is still available even though their discount has expired, failing to recognize this.

In this regard, to configure the page, the electronic device determines a method for providing coupon information based on coupon expiration time information included in the coupon information, and configures the page based on the method for providing the coupon information.
