Description

[0001] FASTENING APPARATUS FOR AUTOMOBILE CHARGING CABLE

[0002] Field of the Invention

[0003] The present invention relates to a fastening apparatus for an automobile charging cable designed to provide practical, fast and regular use of an electric connection cable used to connect electric vehicles (EV’s)with a charging station.

[0004] Background of the Invention

[0005] As it is known, electric vehicles are charged by connecting to the power supply via charging cables. After the charging process is over, the said cables are wound up and stored. However, in this case, the most important problem with the current technique is that the cables do not remain wound up and become dispersed when placed inside the vehicle. This takes up a lot of space where the cable is stored - usually in the luggage area where it is usually stored - and causes the space to look untidy. For this reason, after the charging cable is collected, it should be tied with a cable tie like a rope and clamp to prevent it from falling apart. In this case, the cable is exposed to external factors during charging and becomes dirty. The user must come into contact with dirt when collecting the cable. This creates dissatisfaction for the users.

[0006] The casual placement of the charging cables in the vehicle and their lack of organization also prolongs the charging time, as it requires untangling the knotted cable, and the like. Tidying and untangling the cable in an organized manner is not something that every user can do easily but requires knowledge and experience. United States Patent document no US9583932, an application known state of the art, discloses a charging cable storage device for charging the battery of an electric vehicle. In the application of the prior art, the cable is wound onto said cable storage device by rotating the cable.

[0007] European Patent document no EP3463985, another application known in the state of the art, also discloses an electric charging cable reeling apparatus. There is a handle on the apparatus and a structure for winding the cable again.

[0008] As a result, improvements are being made in automobile charging cable fastening apparatus systems, therefore novel structures are needed to eliminate the disadvantages mentioned above and to bring solutions to existing systems.

[0009] Summary of the Invention

[0010] The present invention relates to a fastening apparatus for an automobile charging cable which fulfills the above-mentioned requirements, eliminates all disadvantages and brings some additional advantages.

[0011] The objective of the present invention is to enable the charging cable to be easily collected in an orderly manner by means of the apparatus of the invention after the electric vehicle has been charged, and to take up little space in the vehicle thereby preventing the cable from becoming tangled and knotted in an untidy manner.

[0012] An objective of the present invention is to enable easy transportation of the reeled charging cable by means of the hand carrying form on the fastening apparatus for automobile charging cable of the present invention.

[0013] Another objective of the present invention is to unreel the charging cable by easily releasing the handles of the apparatus of the invention and then to provide the electrical connection between the charging station and the electric vehicle. In order to realize all the advantages mentioned above and understood from the detailed description below, the present invention is an electric charging cable apparatus for collecting the charging cables of electric vehicles together in an orderly manner, comprising at least two identical electric charging cable handles having magnets thereon and fixed at equal distances on the electric vehicle charging cable.

[0014] In a possible embodiment of the invention, each handle is provided with at least one cable slot through which the electric charging cable is passed and secured.

[0015] In a possible embodiment of the invention, at least two magnets are provided within and on opposite surfaces of each individual handle so as to repel each other.

[0016] In a possible embodiment of the invention, there is a main reference housing and a main reference form for securing said electric charging cable handles one after the other by means of said magnets. When the aforementioned main reference slot is joined, there is also an auxiliary reference slot and an auxiliary reference form for the intervention-free alignment of each handle one after the other.

[0017] In a possible embodiment of the invention, the final form of the electric charging cable apparatus is formed by rotating on the main reference axis by means of the mutual attraction of the opposite poles of the magnets coming one after the other due to the successive arrangement of the handles.

[0018] The structural and characteristic features and all advantages of the invention will be more clearly understood by means of the drawings given below and the detailed description written with references to these drawings, and therefore, the evaluation should be made by considering these drawings and detailed description. Description of the Drawings

[0019] In order to best understand the embodiment of the present invention and its advantages with additional elements, it should be evaluated together with the drawings described below.

[0038] Detailed Description of the Invention

[0039] In this detailed description, preferred embodiments of the fastening apparatus for the automobile charging cable of the present invention are described solely for the purpose of a better understanding of the subject matter and without any limiting effect.

[0040] The electric charging cable apparatus (1) consists of a certain number of identical electric charging cable handles (2) with magnets (4) thereon (Figure 2). The electric charging cable handles (2) forming the electric charging cable apparatus (1) of the present invention are positioned at equal distances from the electric vehicle charging cable (3). Each handle (2) is secured to the said charging cable (3) by passing it through the cable slot (11) provided therein.

[0041] In the invention, the electric charging cable handles (2) fixed sequentially on the charging cable (3) are fixed sequentially to each other by the principle of mutual attraction of the opposite poles of the magnets (4) thereon. The user makes 1 winding while fixing each electric charging cable handle (2), and each handle (2) corresponds to one winding (Figure 3). Depending on the type of electric vehicle and the length of the charging cable (3), the number of electric charging cable handles (2) used may vary. In order to illustrate a preferable embodiment of the invention, 6 electric charging cable handles (2) were used as an example.

[0042] In the invention, there are preferably 2 magnets (4) on each electric charging cable handle (2). The said poles of the magnet (4) are placed on the opposite surface of each handle (2) in such a way that they repel each other - with their co-poles facing each other (Figure 3 Section A-A).

[0043] The main reference slots (7) and the main reference forms (8) on the electric charging cable handles (2) according to the invention are fixed to each other in a regular manner (Figure 1). When the main reference slot (7) is joined by the user on the electric charging cable handles (2), the auxiliary reference slot (6) and the auxiliary reference form (5) each rotate on the main reference axis (9) thanks to the mutual attraction of the opposite poles of the magnets (4) coming one after the other with the successive arrangement of the handles (2), and find their places in the fixing direction (13) without external intervention (Figure 1).

[0044] The electric charging cable handles (2) arranged one after the other, the number of which will vary according to the length of the charging cable (3), ultimately form the electric charging cable apparatus (1) according to the present invention. The hand carrying form (10) formed on each handle (2) enables the apparatus (1) of the present invention to be easily carried by hand (12) and makes it possible to store and use the cable (3) in an organized and space-saving manner.
