Description

[0001] ANCHOR WEDGE CLAMP

[0002] The invention relates to electric power engineering, namely to anchor wedge clamps for fastening self-supporting insulated wires or optical cables to overhead power line supports.

[0003] There are many modifications of anchor wedge clamps. For unification, universal housings with different cable fixation options are used.

[0004] The prior art discloses anchor wedge clamps of the KLIN trademark (Ukraine) for fastening self-supporting insulated wires or optical cables to overhead power line supports, which contain a housing with ribs and mounting holes for fastening a removable elastic bracket, inside which two wedge inserts for clamping and wedging wires or cables are placed with the possibility of longitudinal movement, and the inner surface of the wedge inserts is made relief. The clamp is fastened to supports or building walls with the help of an elastic metal bracket (http: / / klin.com.ua / product / natyazhnoj-zazhim-n3-novyj / ).

[0005] An anchor wedge clamp was selected as a prototype, comprising a housing with an open cutout, stiffeners and mounting holes for securing a removable elastic bracket, two wedge fastening elements (wedge inserts) made in the form of an arched groove with an internal relief surface and beveled upper edges, on the surface of which relief protrusions are made in the form of, for example, notches, teeth, ribs. The wedge inserts for clamping the cable are installed with the possibility of longitudinal movement and wedging in the housing. The relief protrusions on the beveled upper edges of the wedge inserts increase the force of grip of the cable with its surface, which simplifies the installation process and allows, if necessary, to carry it out with one hand without the use of installation tools (Ukrainian patent for utility model No. 149001, IPC H02G 7 / 02, H02G 15 / 00, published on 05.10.2021).The disadvantages of known solutions are the unstandardized clamping of wires or cables and, as a consequence, their unreliable fixation, leading to cable slippage or deforming compression of the sheath, leading to its rupture.

[0006] These disadvantages are the result of the fact that when designing an anchor wedge clamp, it is calculated to clamp cables in a narrow range of diameters and does not take into account the different thicknesses of the cable sheaths. This leads either to damaging compression of thin cables by the fixing protruding elements on the wedge inserts, or to weak clamping of thick cables with a small deformation of the sheath or a small area of contact of the clamping elements with the cable, leading to slippage of the cable mounted in the clamp during operation. Also, when the calculated load is exceeded, if the clamp body does not break down, it is possible to pull the wedge inserts into the body to a greater depth, which entails a decrease in the clamped area of the cable, uncalculated high deforming loads on the cable, or to the destruction of the clamp body.

[0007] The proposed solution is aimed at expanding the modifications of anchor wedge clamps for fastening cables of various shapes and diameters, which would eliminate the above-mentioned shortcomings.

[0008] The invention is based on the task of creating an anchor wedge clamp, in which a change in the design of the wedge inserts allows for an increase in the contact area with clamped cables of different shapes and diameters and prevents squeezing of small diameter cables by changing the shape of the inner surface of the grooves of the wedge inserts, made with a special configuration of longitudinal edges and the presence of relief teeth of different heights installed on the inner surface of the grooves, and the presence of end stops at the ends of the wedge inserts prevents them from being drawn into the housing and facilitates the installation of the cable in the anchor clamp.

[0009] As a result, the operational characteristics of the anchor wedge clamp are improved, the reliability of cable clamping is increased, and the ease of installation is increased. The set task is achieved in that in the anchor wedge clamp, comprising a housing with an open longitudinal cutout, provided with stiffening ribs and mounting holes for fastening a removable elastic bracket, located oppositely on both sides of the housing, as well as two wedge inserts with synchronizers installed with the possibility of simultaneous longitudinal movement and clamping of the cable, each of which has relief projections on the upper edge and an arcuate groove inside, according to the invention, the longitudinal upper and / or lower edges of each arcuate groove are straight or curved, made for a projection-recess connection, wherein in the case of making a groove with curvilinear longitudinal edges, the projections and recesses on the upper and lower longitudinal edge are staggered. On the surface of the arcuate gutter there are relief teeth of different heights, wherein the relief teeth of a smaller height are located in the recess of the gutter, and the relief teeth of a greater height are connected with the projections of the curved longitudinal edges, and in the case of the presence of straight longitudinal edges, they are installed along the longitudinal edges or connected with them.

[0010] The wide end faces of the wedge inserts are equipped with stop stops to prevent them from being pulled out of the housing in an unintended manner and to facilitate installation of the cable in the clamp.

[0011] In specific examples of the implementation of an anchor wedge clamp, the curved longitudinal lower and / or upper edges of each groove are made in the form of a wave or shaped teeth, which have, for example, a U-shaped, trapezoidal or triangular profile.

[0012] For different diameters of clamped cables, the height of the protrusion-recess of the curved edge is calculated based on the cable parameter.

[0013] The relief teeth of different heights on the inner surface of the grooves of the wedge inserts, optimized for interaction with cables of different diameters, and the curvilinear configuration of the longitudinal edges allow to increase the contact area of the wedge inserts with the clamped cable and to increase the adhesion between them, which leads to an increase in the reliability of the cable clamping and reduces the likelihood of its destruction. Brief description of the drawings

[0014] Fig. 1 shows a general view of an anchor wedge clamp with wavy edges of the wedge inserts; Fig. 2 - an example of the implementation of a wedge insert with wavy longitudinal edges of the gutter, on the inner surface of which relief transverse teeth with a variable height, which changes from high at one end to low at the other, are placed in a checkerboard pattern; Fig. 3 - an example of the implementation of a wedge insert with an upper straight and lower wavy longitudinal edges of the gutter, on the inner surface of which relief transverse teeth with a variable height, which changes from high at one end to low at the other and low teeth in the center of the gutter are placed in a checkerboard pattern; Fig. 4 - the connection of the lower parts of the wedge inserts with wavy longitudinal edges (top view in Fig. 1); Fig. 5 - top view of the connection of wedge inserts with straight longitudinal upper edges; Fig.6 - bottom view of the connection of wedge inserts with wavy longitudinal lower edges; in Fig. 7 - bottom view of the connection of wedge inserts with serrated U-shaped longitudinal lower edges; in Fig. 8 - bottom view of the connection of wedge inserts with serrated triangular longitudinal lower edges.

[0015] The anchor wedge clamp comprises a body 1 with an open longitudinal cutout 2 and mounting holes 3 for securing a removable elastic bracket, two wedge inserts 4 with synchronizers 5, installed with the possibility of their simultaneous longitudinal movement along the longitudinal cutout 2 for clamping the cable. Each of the wedge inserts 4 is made with an arcuate groove 6. On the upper edge of the insert 4, relief projections 7 are made.

[0016] On the surface of the arcuate groove 6 there are relief teeth having different shapes and heights, wherein the relief teeth 12 of smaller height are located in the groove recess, the relief teeth 11 of greater height are connected with the projections of the curved longitudinal edges, and in the case of the presence of straight longitudinal edges they are located along the longitudinal edges or connected with them (pos. 11, 12 in Fig. 3). In another example of implementation (Fig. 2) on the surface of the arcuate groove 6 there are relief teeth installed in a checkerboard pattern, having different heights of the ends, wherein the low part of each tooth 13 is located in the groove recess, and the high part 14 is connected with the projections of the curved edges.

[0017] In different embodiments of the invention, the longitudinal lower and / or upper edges of the wedge inserts 4 have a curvilinear configuration made for a protrusion-recess connection (pos. 8, 9 in Figs. 2, 3, 4) or a rectilinear configuration (pos. 10 in Figs. 3, 5), depending on the type of cable.

[0018] On the wide end faces of the wedge inserts 4, locking protrusions 15 are provided to prevent the possibility of their unintended extension from the housing and to facilitate installation.

[0019] In specific examples of implementation, the curved upper and lower longitudinal edges of the wedge inserts 4 can be made in the form of a smooth wave or shaped teeth (pos. 16, 17 in Figs. 7, 8).

[0020] According to the invention, the teeth located in the gutter have different heights, the minimum height of the teeth is in the center of the gutter, the maximum at the edges. The distance between the teeth at the edges is greater than between the teeth in the center of the gutter. One or both edges of the gutter can be curved, made for a protrusion-recess connection, in which case the contact area of the teeth with the cable sheath increases.

[0021] The different shapes and heights of the teeth in the given examples of implementation are chosen for effective clamping of cables of different diameters. Thus, when clamping a small-diameter cable, the low teeth of the groove are used, and when clamping a thick cable, the high teeth, coupled with the longitudinal edges, are used.

[0022] The anchor wedge clamp is used to secure cables as follows.

[0023] The design of the anchor wedge clamp is selected taking into account the diameter and sheath of the cable being clamped. In the position when the wedge inserts are inside the housing in a fully retracted state, sometimes there is a need to insert the cable into the housing of the anchor wedge clamp with one hand, between the wedge inserts 4. For this purpose, it is possible to press the cable against the relief projections 7 of the upper edges, which allows increasing the adhesive force between the cable and the surface of the wedge inserts, which facilitates inserting the cable inside with one hand. When the cable moves longitudinally along the clamp housing, the wedge inserts are extended, spread apart, which increases the gap between them and allows lowering the cable to the working position, after which the wedge inserts are pushed into the housing and the cable is fixed.

[0024] The locking protrusions 15 on the wide end faces of the wedge inserts prevent them from sliding out of the housing when the load is exceeded, and also facilitate installation.

[0025] For cables of different shapes and parameters, various designs of wedge inserts with different forms of structural elements are selected, allowing the cable to be securely fixed and prevent damage.

[0026] Thus, changing the design of wedge inserts allows optimizing work with cables of different shapes and diameters, preventing damage to cables and their slippage. In addition, it facilitates the installation of anchor wedge clamps, which is important in adverse weather conditions.
