Abstract
Description
[0001] Carrying strap and carrying strap arrangement
[0002] The invention relates to a carrier tape according to claim 1 and a carrier tape arrangement according to claim 12.
[0003] Such lanyards are available in a wide variety of designs and are used, for example, to verify access authorization for a person wearing the lanyard around their neck to a building, an event such as a trade fair, a congress, a conference, a workshop, a cultural event, a sporting event, or the like. Such lanyards, often referred to as lanyards, are also used for visitors or employees of company buildings or premises, as well as government agencies and infrastructure facilities that are not generally accessible to ensure maximum security.
[0004] Thus, EP 3 560 377 A1 describes a lanyard worn around the neck, shoulder or wrist, comprising an elongated material with a front and back, the front being printed, the lanyard comprising a first, a second and a third section, the first, the second and the third section being arranged successively along the length of the lanyard, so that the second section is part of the lanyard.
[0005] CONFIRMATION COPY The second and third sections are arranged consecutively along the length of the lanyard, such that the second section is arranged between the first and third sections, and the second section is arranged between the first and third sections. The second section has a cross-sectional width that is less than a cross-sectional width of both the first and third sections. The lanyard is arranged so that the printed front side is visible during use.
[0006] Furthermore, German utility model DE 20 2015 002 130 Ul discloses a wristband assembly with a loop area for hanging around the neck and at least one adjoining holder for an access authorization, an identification document, a ticket, or a similar document. The holder can be connected to the loop area via a detachable quick-release fastener. This can improve the distribution of the wristband assembly to large crowds at major events such as open-air concerts or church conferences. The documents proving access authorization can be connected to the wristband section via the holder and held ready to be connected to the loop area via the quick-release fastener when issued, or to be issued separately to each visitor.
[0007] In addition, DE 202 11 715 U1 describes a so-called lanyard, i.e. a neck strap for carrying keys, ID cards or the like, with a strap that can be placed around a person's neck and that has a fastening device for an object to be carried at a lower end and, at a distance from the lower end, at least one panic lock that opens automatically when a pulling force is applied and that connects a first free end and a second free end of the neck strap to one another to form a closed strap. The panic lock is formed by a first insertion tab arranged at the first free end and a first push-through opening arranged at the second free end, through which the first insertion tab can be pushed against the force of a retaining force.
[0008] With the lanyards used to date, name badges, admission tickets, service tags, or identification badges (often referred to as badges) are usually attached to a loop-like section of the strap using snap hooks. The IDs or identification badges are also inserted into plastic holders, which can then be attached to a snap hook via a connecting hole. Because conventional lanyards are made of different materials, disposal is complicated by separating the components into different material classes. On the other hand, even recycling the lanyards or their components requires disassembly or separation according to the different materials.
[0009] Furthermore, German patent application DE 10 2015 000 859 A1 discloses a sustainably produced lanyard consisting of a band, a connector, and an end piece. The band, connector, and end pieces can serve as advertising media and are made of a compostable material, thus identifying the lanyard as a sustainable product.
[0010] Even if a high level of recycling or sustainability is achieved by proposing a lanyard made of a compostable material, the problem of the laborious disassembly of the lanyard into its individual components still remains.
[0011] The invention therefore has the object of simplifying the recycling or disposal of a carrier tape arrangement with a carrier tape.
[0012] The object is achieved with the subject matter of patent claims 1 and 12. Accordingly, in a first aspect, the invention provides a carrying strap for carrying an object, in particular a name tag, access pass, badge, sign or service mark, around the neck of a user, wherein the object can be received by the carrying strap via a loop-like strap section or from a loop-like strap section and at least one longitudinal end of the carrying strap has a connecting element formed substantially from the material of the carrying strap for connecting or securing the carrying strap to or on the object.
[0013] In a second aspect, the invention accordingly provides a carrying strap assembly comprising a carrying strap according to the first aspect and an object to be carried by the carrying strap, in particular a name tag, access pass, or badge. The carrying strap assembly is characterized in that the object has at least one recess in which the carrying strap can be locked with at least one connecting element.
[0014] According to the invention, a carrying strap is provided that is essentially made of a recyclable material and can be directly connected to the object to be worn by a user without the use of external connecting elements, for example, made of a different material. A carrying strap assembly with the carrying strap can be easily disassembled into its components, which can then be recycled or disposed of sustainably.
[0015] The advantage of the invention lies in the conservation of resources and a reduction in the number of materials used. Furthermore, the invention offers cost advantages by reducing the types of materials used. Furthermore, the degree of recyclability or disposal of the carrier tape assembly is increased.
[0016] In one embodiment of the support strap according to the invention, the connecting element is designed as a seam of at least one longitudinal end of the support strap. This ensures a high degree of functional suitability of the support strap without the use of additional material.
[0017] In another embodiment of the fastener tape according to the invention, the connecting element is formed by a folded-over tape section in which layers placed one above the other are bonded together by adhesive. The advantage of this is the minimal amount of work required to adjust the functionality of the fastener tape.
[0018] Alternatively, the connecting element can be formed from a folded band section, thermally bonded to form a single layer. This requires no additional auxiliary material.
[0019] In a preferred embodiment of the inventive support strap, the connecting element is designed as a barb-like section. This simplifies the manufacture of the inventive support strap while simultaneously ensuring its functional capability. Furthermore, the use of additional materials is avoided.
[0020] In a particularly preferred embodiment of the carrying strap according to the invention, the barb-like section is formed by incisions made substantially laterally at an angle to the longitudinal extent of the carrying strap. This allows for a simple locking of the carrying strap to the object.
[0021] Preferably, a connecting element, which can be designed like the previously described connecting elements, is provided at both longitudinal ends of the support strap for connecting or securing the support strap to or on the object. This allows for greater variability in the type of connection to the object while providing an improved mechanical connection.
[0022] If the free ends of the carrying strap according to the invention are not sewn together or connected in any way, the loop-like section is formed by the carrying strap and the object held therein.
[0023] The carrying strap can be connected or secured to or on the object at a single connection or fastening point. The advantage of this is that safety is at least somewhat increased in the event of a dangerous situation caused by the carrying strap becoming jammed. The two unconnected carrying strap ends can detach from the connection or fastening point if sufficiently strong tensile force is applied.
[0024] A sufficiently stable connection or securing of the carrying strap to or on the object is achieved, when the carrying strap ends are not connected to each other, via two connection or securing points, preferably designed as recesses. The advantage of this design lies in increased safety. Since the carrying strap itself does not contain a loop, if the carrying strap or similar item becomes jammed and a corresponding tensile force is applied, one or both ends of the carrying strap would detach from the connection or securing point(s).
[0025] If the free ends or end sections of the carrier tape according to the invention are connected to one another, preferably sewn, the connection or securing of the carrier tape to or on the object at only one connection or securing point is improved with regard to the stability of the connection between the carrier tape and the object. The loop-like section of the carrier tape can be secured to the object or connected to it using the connecting element at one or both longitudinal ends. This is because, with interconnected, preferably sewn ends of the carrier tape, the carrier tape can also be sufficiently well connected or secured to it using only the connecting element provided at one of its longitudinal ends.
[0026] In an embodiment of the carrying strap according to the invention such that its free ends or end sections are connected, preferably sewn, in the longitudinal direction between the barb-like sections, a mechanical reinforcement of the locking of the carrying strap to the object is provided.
[0027] In an alternative embodiment, the free ends or end sections are connected longitudinally outside the barb-like sections, preferably by sewing. The advantage of this is that it facilitates the insertion or threading of the carrying strap into the article.
[0028] Preferably, the support tape according to the invention is formed by two partial tapes which are connected with an adhesive seam-like sewing connection in such a way that the sewing connection is approximately the same distance from the free ends of the support tape.
[0029] In a particularly preferred embodiment, the carrier tape is made of a substantially recyclable material. This is preferably recycled polyethylene terephthalate. The seams and adhesive seam-like stitching on the carrier tape according to the invention are preferably made using threads made of recycled polyethylene terephthalate. Even if the carrier tape cannot be reused, the carrier tape material, polyethylene terephthalate, can be recycled.
[0030] In the carrier tape arrangement according to the invention, the article is preferably made of a cellulose-containing material, more preferably cardboard or paper. The article is preferably designed as a folding card or cardboard.
[0031] In one embodiment of the carrier tape assembly according to the invention, the connecting elements of one or both longitudinal ends are received in at least one preferably slot-like recess such that the carrier tape is locked to the object. In the object, which is preferably made of cardboard or paper, the at least one recess is then preferably formed centrally along an outer edge.
[0032] In another embodiment of the carrying strap arrangement according to the invention, the object has at least two spaced-apart recesses in which the carrying strap can be locked using a connecting element each. If the object in this embodiment is designed as a name tag, access pass, admission ticket and / or badge made of a cellulose-containing material, in particular paper or cardboard, the locking of the carrying strap in each of the recesses performs the function of a panic lock. In the event of an unintentional jamming of the loop-like strap section, which could lead to its shortening, strangulation of the user is prevented by one or both ends of the carrying strap detaching from the respective recess or by the carrying strap being released by tearing the object open from the recess.
[0033] If the carrying strap in a carrying strap assembly is connected to the object by the connecting elements of both longitudinal ends being locked in a recess, a panic closure is achieved by a self-adhesive seam-like stitched connection provided in the loop-like strap section opposite the connected longitudinal ends of the carrying strap. The self-adhesive seam-like stitched connection connects two partial straps to form the loop-like strap section. When a tensile force acts on the loop-like strap section, the self-adhesive seam-like stitched connection tears open, thus preventing the loop-like strap section from moving toward the neck of a person using the carrying strap assembly, thus preventing a life-threatening emergency situation.
[0034] After use of the carrier strap or the carrier strap assembly according to the invention, the carrier strap can be easily removed from the object and, after appropriate cleaning, reused. Depending on the design of the object, it can also be reused. If the object is designed as an admission ticket, access pass, and / or badge for an event, sustainable event management with a minimal ecological footprint can be achieved.

[0047] Fig. 6a shows a fourth embodiment of the carrying strap according to the invention in an extended view,
[0048] Fig. 6b is a front view of the carrying strap according to the invention according to Fig. 6a in a functional representation,
[0049] Fig. 7a is a front view of a carrier tape arrangement according to the invention with the fourth embodiment of the carrier tape according to the invention according to Figs. 6a and 6b and
[0050] Fig. 7b is a rear view of a carrier tape arrangement according to the invention with the fourth embodiment of the carrier tape according to the invention according to Figs. 6a and 6b.
[0051] In a first embodiment of the fastener tape according to the invention, designated by the reference numeral 1, its longitudinal ends 1a, 1b shown in Fig. 1a are sewn together at a seam 2 (Fig. 1b) to form a loop-like tape section 3. The extended representation of the fastener tape according to Fig. 1a is, as in the subsequent embodiments, also reduced in size compared to its functional representation shown in Fig. 1b. Towards the longitudinal ends 1a, 1b, between the longitudinal edges 1c, 1d, incisions 4, 5 are made at opposite positions at an angle to the longitudinal extent of the fastener tape 1. The incisions 4, 5 are provided such that they lie between the seam 2 formed at one end 3b of the loop-like tape section 3 and a closed longitudinal end 3a of the loop-like tape section. The incisions 4, 5 form a barb-like connecting element 6 for connecting or securing the carrying strap 1 to an object designed as an access authorization card or admission ticket 7 according to Figs. 2a, 2b.
[0052] A carrying strap arrangement 11 according to the invention is formed in that the carrying strap 1 is locked with the barb-like connecting elements 6 in a recess 8 of the vehicle registration authorization card 7. Barb-like sections 6 formed by the incisions 4, 5, which are assigned to the longitudinal ends 1a, 1b of the carrying strap 1, penetrate the recess 8, as shown in Fig. 2b, and rest against a rear side 7e of the vehicle registration authorization card 7. The locking of the carrying strap 1 in the recess 8 is achieved in that a web section 12 of the barb-like sections 6, formed between cut flanks 9c, 9d, rests against a recess edge 8a in the region of the rear side 7e of the vehicle registration authorization card 7. The locking is such that forces acting on the carrying strap 1 when it is worn cannot release it.
[0053] However, if the forces occurring during normal wearing of the carrying strap 1 are exceeded by the loop-like strap section 3 becoming jammed or caught in such a way that it is pulled towards the neck of a user located in the region of the closed longitudinal end 3a, a safety or panic closure is required. Such a panic or safety closure is shown in the second embodiment of the carrying strap 1' according to the invention, illustrated in Figs. 3a to 3c.
[0054] The loop-like band section 3' is formed according to Fig. 3b from two partial bands 13, 14 which are joined together to form the loop-like band section 3' as follows. Thus, first longitudinal ends of the partial bands 13, 14 provided with the barb-like sections 6 are sewn together to form the seam 2'. Opposite the seam 2', second longitudinal ends 13a, 14b of the partial bands 13, 14 are connected to one another with an adhesive seam-like sewing connection 15 to form the loop-like region 3'. In contrast to the first embodiment of the carrier tape 1 according to the invention, the seam 2' in the carrier tape T is arranged along its longitudinal extent to facilitate insertion or threading of the carrier tape 2' between the barb-like sections 6. It is understood that the arrangements of the seams 2, 2' in the carrier tape 1 according to Figs. 1 a, 1 b and the carrying strap 1 ' can be exchanged for each other according to Figs. 3a to 3c.
[0055] The adhesive seam-like sewing connection 15 is formed with stitches spaced further apart than the seam 2' and is not sewn all the way to the side edges 1'c, 1'd. This enables the separation of the loop-like band section 3' as illustrated in Fig. 3c. Thus, the partial bands 13, 14 are K illustrated clamping force which exerts a pull on the loop-like band section 3' and thus on the neck of the user surrounded by it, as indicated by the arrows , t 14 illustrated, separated from each other. The second embodiment 1' of the carrier strap according to the invention, illustrated in Figs. 3a to 3c, can thus also be worn to carry company or employee ID cards in workshop environments with moving machines, without any safety risk for the wearer of the carrier strap 1'.
[0056] If the seam connecting the two longitudinal ends or end sections of the support strap 1, 1' is arranged, as shown in Fig. 3b, between the barb-like section 6 and the closed longitudinal end 3'a, then in a further embodiment of the support strap according to the invention (not shown), unlike that shown in Fig. 3a, the barb-like section 6 is provided at only one longitudinal end 1a or 1b or 13b or 14a of the support strap 1, 1'. Even with only one barb-like section 6, a sufficient connection of the support strap 1, 1' to the registration authorization card 7 is achieved in such a case.
[0057] In the third embodiment 20 of the carrier tape according to the invention, illustrated in Figs. 4a, 4b, a loop-like tape section 21 is closed not solely from the carrier tape 20, but by its connection to or attachment to an object designed, for example, as an admission ticket or admission authorization card 7. As shown in Figs. 5a, 5b, free ends 20a and 20b of the carrier tape 20, provided with barb-like sections 6, are each inserted into one of two recesses 8 provided spaced apart from one another near an edge 7r of the admission authorization card 7 and locked with the aid of the barb-like sections 8. If the admission authorization card 7 is made of paper or cardboard, preferably waste paper, then upon application of the clamping force F illustrated in Fig. 3c KIn an emergency situation, the registration authorization card 7 can be torn open in the area of an upper recess edge 8a according to Fig. 5a and thus release the carrying strap 20 by dissolving the loop-like strap section 21 and eliminate or prevent the risk of the loop-like strap section being pulled tight around the neck of a user of the carrying strap 20 according to the invention.
[0058] A fourth embodiment 30 of the carrier tape according to the invention, equivalent in terms of safety precautions, is illustrated in Figs. 6a, 6b. Connecting elements designed as seams 31 are arranged toward the free ends 30a and 30b of the carrier tape 30. The seams 31 are each formed by folding the carrier tape 30 at its longitudinal ends and sewing together the parallel layers of carrier tape. The double layer of material thus achieved forms the seam-like connecting element 31. The carrier tape 30 is locked by the seam-like connecting element 31 in each of the recesses 8 spaced apart from one another near the edge 7r of the vehicle registration card 7 (Figs. 7a, 7b). The locking is achieved in that tab sections 35 facing away from the longitudinal ends 30a, 30b with respect to a seam 34 rest against the recess edge 8a as shown in Fig. 7b.In this embodiment, the safety or panic lock is also achieved as described in Figs. 5a, 5b.
[0059] If a badge made of plastic, for example, is received by the carrying strap 30 in a carrying arrangement, the connecting elements 31 for locking being inserted into the recesses 8 provided in accordance with Figs. 7a, 7b, a panic lock such as the one illustrated in Figs. 3a, 3b is naturally required due to the material stability of the badge.
[0060] In the embodiments 11, 22, 33 of the carrier tape arrangement according to the invention explained with reference to the figures, an admission ticket or authorisation badge or name tag, membership, event organiser or employee badge 7 which contains at least the same information on both its front 7f and its back 7e proves to be advantageous. This is because, if the carrier tape 1, 11, 20, 30 is twisted between the closed longitudinal end 3a, 3'a and the object 7, legibility or reproduction of the information on the respective ID or information card can be ensured. If the admission ticket, authorisation badge or name tag 7 is designed as a folding card, it can be reused. The same applies to the carrier tape 1, 11, 20, 30, provided that it is designed to be sufficiently neutral, for example by avoiding time and / or location information.
