Abstract
Description
Terminal, base station, and communication method
[0001] The present invention relates to a terminal, a base station, and a communication method in a wireless communication system.
[0002] For NR (New Radio) (also known as "5G"), the successor system to LTE (Long Term Evolution), technologies are being considered that satisfy the requirements of a large-capacity system, high-speed data transmission speed, low latency, simultaneous connection of a large number of terminals, low cost, and low power consumption (for example, Non-Patent Document 1).
[0003] In addition, in NR, a carrier aggregation (CA) function that uses a wideband to secure data resources is being considered following LTE. The carrier aggregation function can secure wideband data resources by bundling multiple component carriers (CCs).
[0004] 3GPP TS 38.300 V18.0.0 (2023-12)
[0005] In future systems (for example, NR Release 18 and 6G, the successor system to NR), more flexible and efficient resource allocation may be required. However, in conventional carrier aggregation functions, it is necessary to schedule data resources for each of multiple aggregated component carriers, which results in a problem of large resource allocation overhead. To address this problem, a technology has been proposed that aggregates and utilizes the resources of multiple component carriers.
[0006] However, in the technology for aggregating and using resources of multiple component carriers, the operation related to initial access is not clear. Therefore, in the conventional technology, when resources of multiple component carriers are aggregated and used, there is a possibility that the operation related to initial access cannot be performed appropriately.
[0007] The present invention has been made in consideration of the above points, and aims to provide a technology that enables appropriate operation related to initial access when resources of multiple component carriers are bundled and used.
[0008] According to the disclosed technology, there is provided a terminal including: a control unit that determines a specific component carrier from among a plurality of component carriers in a frequency band that aggregates resources of the plurality of component carriers; and a receiving unit that receives a signal on the specific component carrier.
[0009] The disclosed technology provides a technology that enables appropriate operation related to initial access when resources of multiple component carriers are bundled and used.

[0011] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Note that the embodiment described below is an example, and the embodiment to which the present invention is applied is not limited to the following embodiment.
[0012] In the operation of the wireless communication system according to the embodiment of the present invention, existing technologies are used as appropriate. However, the existing technologies are, for example, the existing LTE or the existing NR, but are not limited to the existing LTE or NR.
[0013] In addition, in the embodiments of the present invention described below, terms such as SS (Synchronization signal), PSS (Primary SS), SSS (Secondary SS), PBCH (Physical broadcast channel), PRACH (Physical random access channel), PDCCH (Physical Downlink Control Channel), PDSCH (Physical Downlink Shared Channel), PUCCH (Physical Uplink Control Channel), and PUSCH (Physical Uplink Shared Channel) used in existing LTE or NR are used. This is for convenience of description, and similar signals, functions, etc. may be called by other names. In addition, the above-mentioned terms in NR correspond to NR-SS, NR-PSS, NR-SSS, NR-PBCH, NR-PRACH, etc. However, even if a signal is used in NR, it is not necessarily stated as "NR-".
[0014] Furthermore, in the embodiment of the present invention, the duplex method may be a time division duplex (TDD) method, a frequency division duplex (FDD) method, or another method (for example, flexible duplex, etc.).
[0015] Furthermore, in the embodiments of the present invention, "configuring" radio parameters etc. may mean that predetermined values are pre-configured, or that radio parameters notified from the base station 10 or the terminal 20 are set.
[0016] In the following description, unless otherwise clearly indicated from the context, "A / B" means "A or B." Also, "A or B" includes A only, B only, and "A and B."
[0017] (System Configuration) Fig. 1 is a diagram showing a configuration example (1) of a wireless communication system according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in Fig. 1, the wireless communication system according to the embodiment of the present invention includes a base station 10 and a terminal 20. Although Fig. 1 shows one base station 10 and one terminal 20, this is an example, and there may be a plurality of each.
[0018] The base station 10 is a communication device that provides one or more cells and performs wireless communication with the terminal 20. The physical resources of a wireless signal are defined in the time domain and the frequency domain, and the time domain may be defined by the number of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbols, and the frequency domain may be defined by the number of subcarriers or the number of resource blocks. Furthermore, a transmission time interval (TTI) in the time domain may be a slot, or a subframe.
[0019] The base station 10 transmits a synchronization signal and system information to the terminal 20. The synchronization signal is, for example, NR-PSS and NR-SSS. The system information is transmitted, for example, via NR-PBCH and is also referred to as broadcast information. The synchronization signal and system information may be referred to as SSB (SS / PBCH block). As shown in FIG. 1, the base station 10 transmits control signals or data to the terminal 20 via DL (Downlink) and receives control signals or data from the terminal 20 via UL (Uplink). Both the base station 10 and the terminal 20 are capable of transmitting and receiving signals by performing beamforming. Furthermore, both the base station 10 and the terminal 20 are capable of applying MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) communication to the DL or UL. Furthermore, both the base station 10 and the terminal 20 may communicate via a secondary cell (SCell: Secondary Cell) and a primary cell (PCell: Primary Cell) using CA (Carrier Aggregation). Furthermore, the terminal 20 may perform communication via a primary cell of the base station 10 and a primary secondary cell group cell (PSCell: Primary SCG Cell) of another base station 10 by DC (Dual Connectivity).
[0020] The terminal 20 is a communication device equipped with a wireless communication function, such as a smartphone, a mobile phone, a tablet, a wearable terminal, or an M2M (Machine-to-Machine) communication module. As shown in FIG. 1, the terminal 20 receives control signals or data from the base station 10 via DL and transmits control signals or data to the base station 10 via UL, thereby utilizing various communication services provided by the wireless communication system. The terminal 20 also receives various reference signals transmitted from the base station 10 and measures propagation path quality based on the reception results of the reference signals. The terminal 20 may also be referred to as a UE, and the base station 10 may also be referred to as a gNB.
[0021] Fig. 2 is a diagram illustrating an example (2) of a wireless communication system according to an embodiment of the present invention. Fig. 2 shows an example of the configuration of a wireless communication system in which DC (Dual Connectivity) is implemented. As shown in Fig. 2, a base station 10A serving as a Master Node (MN) and a base station 10B serving as a Secondary Node (SN) are provided. The base station 10A and the base station 10B are each connected to a core network. The terminal 20 can communicate with both the base station 10A and the base station 10B.
[0022] The cell group provided by the base station 10A, which is an MN, is called an MCG (Master Cell Group), and the cell group provided by the base station 10B, which is an SN, is called an SCG (Secondary Cell Group). In addition, in DC, the MCG is composed of one PCell and one or more SCells, and the SCG is composed of one PSCell (Primary SCG Cell) and one or more SCells.
[0023] The processing operations in this embodiment may be executed in the system configuration shown in FIG. 1, in the system configuration shown in FIG. 2, or in any other system configuration.
[0024] In addition, in NR, a carrier aggregation function that uses a wideband to secure data resources is being considered, following on from LTE. The carrier aggregation function can secure wideband data resources by aggregating multiple component carriers. For example, a 100 MHz bandwidth can be achieved by aggregating multiple 20 MHz bandwidths.
[0025] (Regarding Virtual CC) Conventional carrier aggregation functions require scheduling of data resources for each of a plurality of aggregated component carriers, which poses a problem of large overhead in resource allocation.
[0026] Therefore, in order to solve the above-mentioned conventional problems, it is conceivable that the terminal 20 and the base station 10 perform resource allocation in scheduling units with granularity different from that of the component carriers.
[0027] A framework that performs scheduling or aggregation at a granularity different from that of component carriers is defined as frequency fragmentation.
[0028] In addition, in carrier aggregation, aggregation at a granularity different from that of component carriers is defined as non-contiguous carrier aggregation.
[0029] In addition, in carrier aggregation (discontinuous carrier aggregation), scheduling at a granularity different from that of component carriers is defined as discontinuous scheduling.
[0030] The granularity different from the component carrier may be a virtual CC (virtual CC), a BWP (Bandwidth Part), a PRB (Physical Resource Block), or a PRB set.
[0031] Here, a virtual CC is a carrier set in which all or part of the frequency resources included in each of multiple component carriers are aggregated among multiple component carriers. A virtual CC may also be called a "frequency band in which resources of multiple component carriers are aggregated."
[0032] For example, a virtual CC may be assumed to be composed of multiple BWPs.
[0033] 3 is a first diagram showing an example of a configuration of a virtual CC according to an embodiment of the present invention. Virtual CC #i shown in Fig. 3 is a carrier set that aggregates BWP #a and BWP #b included in each of multiple component carriers (CC #0 and CC #1).
[0034] A virtual CC may also be assumed to consist of multiple PRBs or one or more sets of PRBs.
[0035] 4 is a second diagram showing an example of a configuration of a virtual CC according to an embodiment of the present invention. Virtual CC #i shown in FIG. 4 is a carrier set that aggregates multiple PRBs included in each of multiple component carriers (CC #0 and CC #1). The multiple PRBs or PRB sets may be included in one or multiple BWPs.
[0036] Hereinafter, a CC before bundling will be referred to as an actual CC, and a CC after bundling will be referred to as a virtual CC or a nominal CC. Note that the names are not limited to these. In addition, a CC that constitutes a virtual CC after bundling multiple actual CCs may be referred to as an "actual CC."
[0037] Furthermore, in operations such as channel mapping, scheduling, HARQ, and configuration, the virtual CC may be used in the same way as a conventional single CC. Furthermore, the actual CC may be interpreted as "contiguous frequency resources," and the virtual CC may be interpreted as "discontiguous frequency resources." The "discontiguous frequency resources" are an example of a "frequency band aggregating resources of multiple component carriers."
[0038] (Regarding the Issues) Operations related to initial access can be performed using a virtual CC. However, in the prior art, there is a problem in that operations related to initial access using a virtual CC are not clear. Specifically, operations related to the transmission and reception of synchronization signals, operations related to the reception of system information (which may also be called broadcast signals, abandoned information, etc.), and operations related to the transmission and reception of channels or signals related to the random access procedure (RACH procedure) are not clear.
[0039] Hereinafter, embodiments 1 to 3 will be described as embodiments that clarify the operation related to initial access using a virtual CC. Embodiments 1 to 3 can be implemented in any combination.
[0040] (Example of Operation Common to First to Third Embodiments) First, as an example of operation common to the first to third embodiments, an example of operation related to initial access will be described with reference to FIG.
[0041] In S101, the terminal 20 receives the SSB (including the MIB) transmitted from the base station 10. In S102, the terminal 20 receives the SIB1 transmitted from the base station 10. Note that in addition to the SIB1, the terminal 20 may also receive an SIB other than the SIB1.
[0042] The terminal 20 establishes synchronization with the base station 10 by SSB, and acquires basic information about the cell by MIB, SIB1, and the like.
[0043] In S103, the terminal 20 transmits Msg1 (message 1) to the base station 10. In S104, the terminal 20 receives Msg2 from the base station 10. In S105, the terminal 20 transmits Msg3 to the base station 10. In S106, the terminal 20 receives Msg4 from the base station 10.
[0044] In S107 and thereafter, transmission and reception of control signals specific to the terminal 20, transmission and reception of data specific to the terminal 20, etc. are performed.
[0045] The above example is an example of a four-step RACH. A two-step RACH may also be implemented. In this case, after S102, MsgA is transmitted from the terminal 20 to the base station 10, and MsgB is transmitted from the base station 10 to the terminal 20.
[0046] In this embodiment, the period from SSB reception to completion of the random access procedure is called initial access. The initial access may also be called a RACH process. Furthermore, "RACH" may mean the random access procedure. The initial access may also be called random access (or random access procedure). Furthermore, the period from synchronization signal reception to before transmission of Msg1 / MsgA may also be called initial access, and the subsequent processing may also be called random access.
[0047] (Outline of Embodiments 1 to 3) Next, as an outline of the technology according to Embodiments 1 to 3, examples 1 to 4 will be described for how to use a virtual CC and an actual CC in initial access (and subsequent transmission and reception of channels / signals) when using a virtual CC. In the figures, aCC indicates an actual CC, and vCC indicates a virtual CC.
[0048] In addition, a CC that is used before a virtual CC is set in the terminal 20 (before the terminal 20 recognizes that it will use a virtual CC) may be called a "CC that does not constitute a virtual CC."
[0049] In the following, the actual CC is assumed to be an actual CC used for a virtual CC, but may be an actual CC that does not constitute a virtual CC. In any of Examples 1 to 4, at the end of the RACH procedure, RRCSetupComplete is transmitted from the terminal 20 to the base station 10.
[0050] 6, SSB to RACH are performed within the actual CC. In Example 1, a virtual CC is set for the terminal 20 by RRC signaling (e.g., Msg2, Msg4, MsgB), and the terminal 20 transmits and receives channels / signals specific to the terminal 20 using the virtual CC.
[0051] In Example 2 shown in FIG. 7, procedures related to SSB and SIB are performed within the actual CC, and procedures from RACH onwards are performed using a virtual CC, i.e., across multiple actual CCs.
[0052] In Example 2, a virtual CC is configured for the terminal 20 in an SIB (e.g., SIB1), and the terminal 20 uses the virtual CC to execute procedures after RACH.
[0053] 8, the procedures related to the SSB and SIB are also executed within the actual CC, and the procedures after the RACH are executed using a virtual CC. In Example 3, a virtual CC is also set for the terminal 20 in the SIB (e.g., SIB1), and the terminal 20 executes the procedures after the RACH using the virtual CC.
[0054] However, in Example 3, in the RACH procedure, reception of Msg2 and Msg4 is performed using CC#0, and transmission of PRACH (Msg1), Msg3, and PUCCH is performed using CC#1.
[0055] In Example 4 shown in FIG. 9, the procedures related to SSB are performed within the actual CC, and the procedures from SIB onwards are performed using a virtual CC, i.e., across multiple actual CCs.
[0056] In Example 4, a virtual CC is set for the terminal 20 in the MIB included in the SSB, and the terminal 20 uses the virtual CC to execute the procedures from the SIB onwards.
[0057] Note that "spanning multiple actual CCs" may also mean using one or more actual CCs included in a virtual CC when using a virtual CC, as shown in Fig. 10. In other words, "spanning multiple actual CCs" may also include operating with a single actual CC.
[0058] (Initial Access / Random Access) In the first to third embodiments, "initial access / random access" may include at least one of the following multiple terminal operations (1) to (8).
[0059] (1) Receiving / measuring synchronization signals (e.g., PSS / SSS) (2) Receiving system information (e.g., MIB / SIB) (3) Transmitting UL synchronization signals (e.g., PRACH) (4) Transmitting and receiving channels / signals related to random access / contention resolution (Msg.1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / A / B / HARQ-ACK for these) (5) Operations from receiving synchronization signals to transmitting Msg5 / UE capability report (6) Operations from receiving synchronization signals to receiving RRCSetup (7) Operations from receiving UE-dedicated parameters until they become valid (the UE-dedicated parameters may be specific UE-dedicated parameters) (8) Operations from receiving synchronization signals to transmitting RRCSetupComplete Furthermore, in embodiments 1 to 3, "initial access / random access" may include at least one of the multiple base station operations (1) to (8) shown below.
[0060] (1) Transmission of synchronization signals (e.g., PSS / SSS) (2) Transmission of system information (e.g., MIB / SIB) (3) Reception of UL synchronization signals (e.g., PRACH) (4) Transmission and reception of channels / signals related to random access / contention resolution (Msg.1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / A / B / HARQ-ACK for these) (5) Operations from transmission of synchronization signals to reception of Msg5 / UE capability report (6) Operations from transmission of synchronization signals to transmission of RRCSetup (7) Operations from transmission of UE-dedicated parameters until they become valid (the UE-dedicated parameters may be specific UE-dedicated parameters) (8) Operations from transmission of synchronization signals to reception of RRCSetupComplete (Regarding RRCSetupComplete) "RRCSetupComplete" may be interpreted as any of the following. The following is the operation from the terminal's perspective; by switching reception and transmission, it becomes the operation from the base station's perspective.
[0061] - Transmission of Msg5 / UE capability report - Reception of RRCSetup - Reception of UE-dedicated parameters (the UE-dedicated parameters may be specific UE-dedicated parameters) - Transmission of RRCSetupComplete (First Embodiment) First, a first embodiment will be described. In the first embodiment, operations for receiving, measuring, and reporting synchronization signals (PSS / SSS / PTRS, etc.) in the terminal 20 will be described. The first embodiment has an option 1 and an option 2, each of which will be described below. Note that reception of a synchronization signal (PSS / SSS / PTRS, etc.) in the terminal 20 corresponds to transmission of a synchronization signal (PSS / SSS / PTRS, etc.) in the base station 10. Option 1 and option 2 may also be combined.
[0062] <Embodiment 1: Option 1> In Option 1, the terminal 20 receives, measures, and reports synchronization signals on an actual CC basis. The actual CC here may be an actual CC that constitutes a virtual CC, or may be an actual CC that does not constitute a virtual CC.
[0063] The terminal 20 may receive and measure synchronization signals in a single actual CC, or may receive and measure synchronization signals in each of multiple actual CCs. An example of option 1 is shown in FIG.
[0064] Regarding reporting, the terminal 20 may report the measurement results for each actual CC to the base station 10 individually (Case 1), or may report all the measurement results for any of the actual CCs together (Case 2).
[0065] For example, in a virtual CC consisting of CC #0 and CC #1, in case 1, terminal 20 transmits the measurement results of the synchronization signal received on CC #0 on CC #0 and transmits the measurement results of the synchronization signal received on CC #1 on CC #1. In case 2, terminal 20 transmits the measurement results of the synchronization signal received on CC #0 and the measurement results of the synchronization signal received on CC #1, for example, on CC #1.
[0066] Furthermore, the terminal 20 may receive and measure a synchronization signal in each actual CC included in the virtual CC, and synchronize with each actual CC in the time domain.
[0067] <Embodiment 1: Option 2> In option 2, the terminal 20 receives, measures, and reports synchronization signals on a virtual CC basis. Specifically, there are the following options 2-1 and 2-2.
[0068] <Option 2-1> In option 2-1, the terminal 20 receives and measures a synchronization signal on a specific actual CC (called a representative / reference actual CC) in a virtual CC, and reports the reception and measurement results on the actual CC to the base station 10 as the reception and measurement results of the synchronization signal on the virtual CC. There may be one or more representative / reference actual CCs. An example of option 2-1 is shown in Figure 12(a).
[0069] As a method for determining the representative / reference actual CC, there are, for example, the following methods (1) to (5).
[0070] (1) The terminal 20 / base station 10 determines the P(S)Cell as the representative / reference actual CC. This determination may be limited to cases where the virtual CC includes the P(S)Cell.
[0071] (2) The terminal 20 determines the representative / reference actual CC based on an instruction notified by the base station 10 in the MIB / SIB / RRC / MAC CE / DCI. The instruction may directly specify the ID of the representative / reference actual CC, or may indirectly specify the conditions for the CC to be the representative / reference actual CC, for example.
[0072] In this example, it is assumed that the NW (base station 10) determines the representative / reference actual CC based on the quality of the PRACH / UL channel / UL reference signal received from the terminal 20.
[0073] (3) The terminal 20 determines the representative / reference actual CC based on the DL measurement results.
[0074] (4) The terminal 20 / base station 10 determines the CC with the smallest / largest CC index as the representative / reference actual CC.
[0075] (5) The terminal 20 determines the CC on which it received the SS / MIB / SIB during initial access as the representative / reference actual CC.
[0076] <Option 2-2> Option 2-2 is an option for measurements. In option 2-2, the terminal 20 calculates the average / filtered-average of the measurement results for each actual CC in one or more actual CCs included in the virtual CC as the measurement result for the virtual CC. The terminal 20 reports the measurement results, for example, in a representative / reference actual CC. An example of option 2-2 is shown in FIG. 12(b).
[0077] Regarding reporting, a reporting resource may be configured for the virtual CC, and the terminal 20 may report the measurement result to the base station 10 using the reporting resource.
[0078] <Embodiment 1: Example common to Option 1 and Option 2> In embodiment 1, the actual CC included in the virtual CC may be defined in the specifications, or may be determined by the terminal 20 and reported to the base station 10. When the terminal 20 determines the actual CC included in the virtual CC, the terminal 20 may perform SS (synchronization signal) measurement in RRC CONNECTED and determine the actual CC based on the measurement result.
[0079] In addition, the actual CC included in the virtual CC may be configured in the terminal 20 from the base station 10 by MIB / SIB / RRC / MAC CE / DCI.
[0080] Alternatively, candidates for actual CCs constituting a virtual CC may be specified in the specifications. In this case, the terminal 20 may determine a subset of the candidates as actual CCs to be actually used, or the base station 10 may set / instruct the terminal 20 to set a subset of the candidates as actual CCs to be actually used.
[0081] Furthermore, information related to synchronization between multiple actual CCs included in a virtual CC may be notified from the terminal 20 to the base station 10 (or from the base station 10 to the terminal 20). The information related to synchronization may be, for example, information indicating whether synchronization is achieved between multiple actual CCs.
[0082] <Example of operation common to option 1 and option 2> A channel raster / sync raster is defined in the specifications for a virtual CC / actual CC, and the terminal 20 may search for a synchronization signal (PSS / SSS / PTRS, etc.) based on the definition. Note that a raster is a frequency carrier arrangement in which the terminal 20 searches for the presence or absence of a synchronization signal.
[0083] Furthermore, the specification may specify a link between an actual CC that searches for a synchronization signal and an actual CC included in a virtual CC. For example, when searching for a synchronization signal on CC #0, the specification may specify that a virtual CC is configured by CC #0 and CC #1.
[0084] Furthermore, the base station 10 may notify the terminal 20 of a PCID (cell ID) in a sequence of a synchronization signal for each actual CC. In this case, the relationship between the PCIDs of multiple actual CCs and the association with the actual CCs included in the virtual CC may be specified.
[0085] For example, multiple actual CCs with the same PCID may be included in the same virtual CC. Furthermore, multiple actual CCs with a difference between any two PCIDs equal to or less than a predetermined value may be included in the same virtual CC. Furthermore, three or more synchronization signals (e.g., PSS, SSS, tertiary SS) may be used in the notification of PCIDs using a sequence.
[0086] <Selection of Option 1 and Option 2> The terminal 20 / base station 10 may determine whether to apply Option 1 or Option 2 depending on the purpose of "receiving / measuring / reporting" the synchronization signal in the terminal 20. Examples of the above purposes (1) to (7) are shown below.
[0087] (1) Time sync (2) Phase tracking (3) Cell selection / reselection, location registration (4) Paging reception (5) Initial access (6) L1 / beam measurement (7) L3 / RRM measurement Furthermore, the terminal 20 / base station 10 may determine the option to be applied (option 1 or option 2) depending on the current RRC state (e.g., idle mode, connected mode). For example, the terminal 20 / base station 10 applies option 1 (or option 2) if in idle mode, and applies option 2 (or option 1) if in connected mode.
[0088] Furthermore, the terminal 20 / base station 10 may determine the option to be applied (option 1 or option 2) according to the terminal capability information (UE capability).
[0089] In addition, the terminal 20 / base station 10 may determine the option to apply (option 1 or option 2) depending on the band configuration, FR configuration, or SCS configuration of multiple actual CCs that make up the virtual CC.
[0090] The band configuration is either intra-band or inter-band. In the case of intra-band, multiple actual CCs constituting a virtual CC exist in one band. In the case of inter-band, multiple actual CCs constituting a virtual CC exist in multiple bands. For example, option 1 (or option 2) may be applied in the case of inter-band, and option 2 (or option 1) may be applied in the case of intra-band.
[0091] The FR configuration is either Intra-FR or Inter-FR. In the case of Intra-FR, multiple actual CCs constituting a virtual CC exist in one FR. In the case of Inter-FR, multiple actual CCs constituting a virtual CC exist in multiple FRs. For example, Option 1 (or Option 2) may be applied in the case of Inter-FR, and Option 2 (or Option 1) may be applied in the case of Intra-FR.
[0092] The SCS configuration can be either the same SCS or different SCS. In the case of the same SCS, the SCS in the multiple actual CCs that make up the virtual CC is the same. In the case of different SCS, the multiple actual CCs that make up the virtual CC have different SCSs. For example, Option 1 (or Option 2) may be applied in the case of different SCS, and Option 2 (or Option 1) may be applied in the case of the same SCS.
[0093] According to the first embodiment, when resources of a plurality of component carriers are bundled and used, it is possible to appropriately perform operations related to initial access (particularly operations related to synchronization signals).
[0094] (Embodiment 2) Next, embodiment 2 will be described. In embodiment 2, the operation of receiving system information (MIB / SIB etc.) in the terminal 20 will be described. Embodiment 2 has option 1 and option 2. Each will be described below. Note that the reception of system information (MIB / SIB etc.) in the terminal 20 corresponds to the transmission of system information (MIB / SIB etc.) in the base station 10. Option 1 and option 2 may also be combined.
[0095] <Embodiment 2: Option 1> In Option 1, the terminal 20 receives system information on an actual CC basis. The terminal 20 may receive system information on a single actual CC, or may receive system information on each of multiple actual CCs. The actual CC here may be an actual CC that constitutes a virtual CC, or may be an actual CC that does not constitute a virtual CC.
[0096] <Embodiment 2: Option 2> In option 2, the terminal 20 receives system information in units of virtual CCs. Specifically, there are the following options 2-1 and 2-2.
[0097] <Option 2-1> In option 2-1, the terminal 20 receives system information on a specific actual CC (called a representative / reference actual CC) in a virtual CC, and sets the system information in the actual CC as the system information in the virtual CC. There may be one representative / reference actual CC or multiple representative / reference actual CCs.
[0098] As a method for determining the representative / reference actual CC, for example, the following methods (1) to (4) are available.
[0099] (1) The terminal 20 / base station 10 determines the P(S)Cell as the representative / reference actual CC. This determination may be limited to cases where the virtual CC includes the P(S)Cell.
[0100] (2) The terminal 20 determines the representative / reference actual CC based on an instruction notified by the base station 10 in the MIB / SIB / RRC / MAC CE / DCI. The instruction may directly specify the ID of the representative / reference actual CC, or may indirectly specify the conditions for the CC to be the representative / reference actual CC, for example.
[0101] In this example, it is assumed that the NW (base station 10) determines the representative / reference actual CC based on the quality of the PRACH / UL channel / UL reference signal received from the terminal 20.
[0102] (3) The terminal 20 determines the representative / reference actual CC based on the DL measurement results.
[0103] (4) The terminal 20 / base station 10 determines the CC with the smallest / largest CC index as the representative / reference actual CC.
[0104] <Option 2-2> In option 2-2, channel resources related to system information reception are allocated across multiple CCs.
[0105] The specifications may specify to which actual CC among the actual CCs included in the virtual CC the resources for transmitting system information from the base station 10 (receiving system information at the terminal 20) are mapped, or the specifications may be set / instructed to the terminal 20 from the network.
[0106] Furthermore, resources for transmitting system information from the base station 10 (receiving system information in the terminal 20) may be linked to the BWP setting for the virtual CC. For example, if BWP #1 in a virtual CC consisting of CC #0 and CC #1 has resources of CC #0 and CC #1, resources for transmitting system information from the base station 10 (receiving system information in the terminal 20) may be mapped to CC #0 and CC #1.
[0107] Furthermore, the minimum number / maximum number of actual CCs to which channel resources related to system information transmission from the base station 10 (system information reception in the terminal 20) are mapped may be specified in the specifications, or may be determined according to the UE capability.
[0108] <Selection of Option 1 and Option 2> The terminal 20 / base station 10 may determine which of Option 1 and Option 2 to apply depending on the purpose of system information reception in the terminal 20.
[0109] Furthermore, the terminal 20 / base station 10 may determine the option to be applied (option 1 or option 2) depending on the current RRC state (e.g., idle mode, connected mode). For example, the terminal 20 / base station 10 applies option 1 (or option 2) if in idle mode, and applies option 2 (or option 1) if in connected mode.
[0110] Furthermore, the terminal 20 / base station 10 may determine the option to be applied (option 1 or option 2) according to the terminal capability information (UE capability).
[0111] In addition, the terminal 20 / base station 10 may determine the option to apply (option 1 or option 2) depending on the band configuration, FR configuration, or SCS configuration of multiple actual CCs that make up the virtual CC.
[0112] The band configuration is either intra-band or inter-band.
[0113] The FR configuration is either Intra-FR or Inter-FR.
[0114] The SCS configuration can be either the same SCS or different SCS.
[0115] <Items common to Option 1 and Option 2> The specification may define the association between the actual CC that receives the MIB / SIB and the actual CC included in the virtual CC.
[0116] In addition, the base station 10 may notify the terminal 20 of the actual CC / virtual CC on which the MIB / SIB is to be received using a synchronization signal (eg, PSS / SSS).
[0117] For example, the base station 10 notifies the terminal 20 of the PCID in a synchronization signal sequence, and the actual CC for receiving the MIB / SIB is designated by the PCID.
[0118] Furthermore, for example, the terminal 20 may receive the MIB / SIB on the actual CC with the smallest / largest PCID among a plurality of actual CCs with the same PCID notified by the synchronization signal.
[0119] Furthermore, for example, the terminal 20 may receive the MIB on the actual CC on which the synchronization signal is received. Furthermore, for example, the terminal 20 may receive the SIB on the actual CC on which the SS / MIB is received.
[0120] According to the second embodiment, when resources of a plurality of component carriers are bundled and used, it is possible to appropriately perform operations related to initial access (particularly operations related to system information).
[0121] (Embodiment 3) Next, embodiment 3 will be described. In embodiment 3, operations of transmitting and receiving signals / channels related to random access in the terminal 20 / base station 10 will be described. Embodiment 3 has option 1 and option 2. Each of these will be described below. Option 1 and option 2 may be combined.
[0122] <Embodiment 3: Option 1> In option 1, the terminal 20 / base station 10 transmits / receives signals / channels in random access in units of actual CCs.
[0123] The terminal 20 may transmit / receive signals / channels in random access on a single actual CC, or may transmit / receive signals / channels in random access on each of multiple actual CCs. The actual CC here may be an actual CC that constitutes a virtual CC, or may be an actual CC that does not constitute a virtual CC.
[0124] <Embodiment 3: Option 2> In option 2, the terminal 20 transmits / receives signals / channels in random access in virtual CC units. Specifically, there are the following options 2-1 and 2-2. Option 2-1 and option 2-2 may be combined.
[0125] <Option 2-1> In option 2-1, the terminal 20 transmits / receives signals / channels in random access within a specific actual CC (referred to as a representative / reference actual CC) in a virtual CC. There may be one or more representative / reference actual CCs.
[0126] As a method for determining the representative / reference actual CC, for example, the following methods (1) to (5) are available.
[0127] (1) The terminal 20 / base station 10 determines the P(S)Cell as the representative / reference actual CC. This determination may be limited to cases where the virtual CC includes the P(S)Cell.
[0128] (2) The terminal 20 determines the representative / reference actual CC based on an instruction notified by the base station 10 in the MIB / SIB / RRC / MAC CE / DCI. The instruction may directly specify the ID of the representative / reference actual CC, or may indirectly specify the conditions for the CC to be the representative / reference actual CC, for example.
[0129] In this example, it is assumed that the NW (base station 10) determines the representative / reference actual CC based on the quality of the PRACH received from the terminal 20.
[0130] (3) The terminal 20 determines the representative / reference actual CC based on the SSB measurement results.
[0131] (4) The terminal 20 / base station 10 determines the CC with the smallest / largest CC index as the representative / reference actual CC.
[0132] (5) The terminal 20 / base station 10 determines an actual CC that transmits / receives a specific channel / signal as a representative / reference actual CC. The actual CC that transmits / receives a specific channel / signal is, for example, an actual CC that receives a synchronization signal, an actual CC configured to monitor a PDCCH, etc.
[0133] <Option 2-2> In option 2-2, the terminal 20 / base station 10 transmits / receives signals / channels in random access on a virtual CC (that is, across multiple CCs).
[0134] The actual CC to which resources for transmitting / receiving signals / channels in random access are mapped among the actual CCs included in the virtual CC may be specified in the specifications or may be set from the NW to the terminal 20. The actual CC to which resources for transmitting / receiving signals / channels in random access are mapped may be called a "specific actual CC."
[0135] Furthermore, resources for transmitting / receiving random access signals / channels may be linked to the BWP settings for the virtual CC. For example, if BWP #1 in a virtual CC consisting of CC #0 and CC #1 has resources for CC #0 and CC #1, resources for transmitting / receiving random access signals / channels may be mapped to CC #0 and CC #1.
[0136] Furthermore, the minimum number / maximum number of actual CCs onto which resources for transmitting / receiving signals / channels in random access are mapped may be defined in specifications, or may be determined according to UE capability.
[0137] In addition, the actual CC may be divided depending on whether the signal / channel in random access is UL or DL. For example, CC #0 is used for UL, and CC #1 is used for DL.
[0138] <Selection of Option 1 and Option 2> The terminal 20 / base station 10 may determine whether to apply Option 1 or Option 2 depending on the purpose of transmitting / receiving signals / channels in random access. Examples of the above purposes (1) to (7) are shown below.
[0139] (1) Initial connection from RRC IDLE state (2) Transition from RRC INACTIVE state to RRC CONNECTED state (3) RRC reconnection (4) Handover (5) Random access due to UL becoming unsynchronized in RRC connected state (6) OSI request (on-demand SIB) (7) Beam failure recovery The terminal 20 / base station 10 may determine the option to apply (Option 1 or Option 2) depending on the channel / signal used for random access.
[0140] For example, the terminal 20 / base station 10 may apply Option 1 to the PRACH and perform transmission / reception using a single actual CC. Alternatively, the terminal 20 / base station 10 may apply Option 1 to the PRACH and perform transmission / reception using each of multiple actual CCs.
[0141] Furthermore, the terminal 20 / base station 10 may apply Option 1 to PRACH and Msg2, and apply Option 2 to Msg3 and onwards.
[0142] Furthermore, the terminal 20 / base station 10 may determine the option to be applied (option 1 or option 2) according to the terminal capability information (UE capability).
[0143] In addition, the terminal 20 / base station 10 may determine the option to apply (option 1 or option 2) depending on the band configuration, FR configuration, or SCS configuration of multiple actual CCs that make up the virtual CC.
[0144] The band configuration is either intra-band or inter-band.
[0145] The FR configuration is either Intra-FR or Inter-FR.
[0146] The SCS configuration can be either the same SCS or different SCS.
[0147] <Other Examples of Embodiment 3> The terminal 20 may determine one or more actual CCs to be included in the virtual CC and report the determined one or more actual CCs to the NW. This reporting may be performed on any UL channel / signal in random access.
[0148] <Third embodiment: UL synchronization / TA command> Regarding the UL synchronization / TA command in the third embodiment, there are the following options 1 and 2.
[0149] Option 1: The base station 10 notifies the terminal 20 of the TA command for each actual CC that constitutes a virtual CC.
[0150] Option 2: The base station 10 may notify the terminal 20 of the TA command only for the representative / reference actual CC, and may also notify the timing difference between the representative / reference actual CC and other actual CCs (e.g., the difference in the value of the TA command).
[0151] According to the third embodiment, when resources of a plurality of component carriers are bundled and used, it is possible to appropriately perform operations related to initial access (particularly operations related to random access).
[0152] (Other examples)
[0153] In the proposals of the first to third embodiments described above, which of the proposed options to use may be specified by specifications or may be set by upper layer parameters. Furthermore, which of the proposed options to use may be reported by the terminal 20 using its capability information (e.g., "UE capability"). Furthermore, which of the proposed options to use may be determined by a combination of the setting of the upper layer parameters and the reported capability information of the terminal. For example, the base station 10 may determine one or more options from among the options available to the terminal 20, as indicated by the reported capability information of the terminal 20, and the determined information may be set by upper layer parameters. Note that the present invention is not limited to the example of setting by upper layer parameters, and information may be notified by physical layer control information (e.g., DCI).
[0154] The proposals of embodiments 1 to 3 may be applied not only to carrier aggregation but also to dual connectivity. For example, the relationship between the actual CCs notified by the SIB may be inter-RAT or intra-RAT. For example, when random access is performed by 5G NR, information related to 6G cell connection may be notified by the SIB so that the 6G network can also be connected.
[0155] The capability information of the terminal 20 (UE capability) may include, for example, information indicating whether the terminal 20 supports the above-mentioned proposals and whether it supports each option of the proposals.
[0156] In this embodiment, "UE (User Equipment)" may be replaced with "UT (User Terminal)", "Node", "User Node", or the like.
[0157] In addition, in this embodiment, "BWP" may refer to a frequency resource group consisting of multiple PRBs (Physical Resource Blocks), and may be read as "PRB" or "PRB set," "PRB group," "RBG (Resource Block Group)," etc.
[0158] (Device Configuration) Next, an example of the functional configuration of the base station 10 and the terminal 20 that execute the processes and operations described above will be described.

Furthermore, for example, the transmitting unit 210 may transmit a PSCCH (Physical Sidelink Control Channel), a PSSCH (Physical Sidelink Shared Channel), a PSDCH (Physical Sidelink Discovery Channel), a PSBCH (Physical Sidelink Broadcast Channel), or the like to another terminal 20 as D2D communication, and the receiving unit 120 may receive the PSCCH, the PSSCH, the PSDCH, the PSBCH, or the like from the other terminal 20.
[0165] The setting unit 230 stores various setting information received from the base station 10 or other terminals by the receiving unit 220 in a storage device provided in the setting unit 230, and reads it from the storage device as needed. The setting unit 230 also stores setting information that is set in advance. The control unit 240 controls the terminal 20.

[0197] The order of the procedures, sequences, flowcharts, etc. of each aspect / embodiment described herein may be rearranged unless it is consistent. For example, the methods described in this disclosure present elements of various steps using an example order and are not limited to the particular order presented.
[0198] In this specification, a specific operation described as being performed by the base station 10 may be performed by its upper node in some cases. In a network consisting of one or more network nodes having the base station 10, it is clear that various operations performed for communication with the terminal 20 may be performed by at least one of the base station 10 and another network node other than the base station 10 (such as, but not limited to, an MME or an S-GW). Although the above example illustrates a case where there is one other network node other than the base station 10, the other network node may be a combination of multiple other network nodes (such as an MME and an S-GW).
[0199] The information, signals, etc. described in the present disclosure may be output from a higher layer (or a lower layer) to a lower layer (or a higher layer), or may be input / output via multiple network nodes.
[0200] Input and output information may be stored in a specific location (for example, memory) or may be managed using a management table. Input and output information may be overwritten, updated, or added to. Output information may be deleted. Input information may be transmitted to another device.
[0201] In the present disclosure, the determination may be made by a value represented by one bit (0 or 1), by a Boolean value (true or false), or by a comparison of numerical values (e.g., comparison with a predetermined value).
[0202] Software shall be construed broadly to mean instructions, instruction sets, code, code segments, program code, programs, subprograms, software modules, applications, software applications, software packages, routines, subroutines, objects, executable files, threads of execution, procedures, functions, etc., whether referred to as software, firmware, middleware, microcode, hardware description language, or otherwise.
[0203] Software, instructions, information, etc. may also be transmitted or received over a transmission medium. For example, if software is transmitted from a website, server, or other remote source using wired technologies (such as coaxial cable, fiber optic cable, twisted pair, Digital Subscriber Line (DSL)), and / or wireless technologies (such as infrared, microwave), then these wired and / or wireless technologies are included within the definition of transmission media.
[0204] The information, signals, etc. described in this disclosure may be represented using any of a variety of different technologies. For example, data, instructions, commands, information, signals, bits, symbols, chips, etc. that may be referred to throughout the above description may be represented by voltages, currents, electromagnetic waves, magnetic fields or magnetic particles, optical fields or photons, or any combination thereof.
[0205] Note that terms described in this disclosure and terms necessary for understanding this disclosure may be replaced with terms having the same or similar meanings. For example, at least one of a channel and a symbol may be a signal (signaling). Furthermore, a signal may be a message. Furthermore, a component carrier (CC) may be called a carrier frequency, a cell, a frequency carrier, etc.
[0206] As used in this disclosure, the terms "system" and "network" are used interchangeably.
[0207] Furthermore, the information, parameters, etc. described in the present disclosure may be expressed using absolute values, may be expressed using relative values from a predetermined value, or may be expressed using other corresponding information. For example, a radio resource may be indicated by an index.
[0208] The names used for the above-described parameters are not intended to be limiting in any way. Furthermore, the mathematical expressions using these parameters may differ from those explicitly disclosed in this disclosure. The various channels (e.g., PUCCH, PDCCH, etc.) and information elements may be identified by any suitable names, and therefore the various names assigned to these various channels and information elements are not intended to be limiting in any way.
[0209] In the present disclosure, terms such as "base station (BS)," "radio base station," "base station," "fixed station," "NodeB," "eNodeB (eNB)," "gNodeB (gNB)," "access point," "transmission point," "reception point," "transmission / reception point," "cell," "sector," "cell group," "carrier," and "component carrier" may be used interchangeably. A base station may also be referred to by terms such as a macrocell, a small cell, a femtocell, and a picocell.
[0210] A base station can accommodate one or more (e.g., three) cells. When a base station accommodates multiple cells, the overall coverage area of the base station can be partitioned into multiple smaller areas, and each smaller area can also be provided with communication services by a base station subsystem (e.g., a small indoor base station (RRH: Remote Radio Head)). The terms "cell" or "sector" refer to part or all of the coverage area of a base station and / or base station subsystem that provides communication services within that coverage.
[0211] In the present disclosure, the base station transmitting information to a terminal may be interpreted as the base station instructing the terminal to control or operate based on the information.
[0212] In this disclosure, the terms "Mobile Station (MS)," "user terminal," "User Equipment (UE)," "terminal," etc. may be used interchangeably.
[0213] A mobile station may also be referred to by those skilled in the art as a subscriber station, mobile unit, subscriber unit, wireless unit, remote unit, mobile device, wireless device, wireless communication device, remote device, mobile subscriber station, access terminal, mobile terminal, wireless terminal, remote terminal, handset, user agent, mobile client, client, or some other suitable terminology.
[0214] At least one of the base station and the mobile station may be referred to as a transmitting device, a receiving device, a communication device, etc. At least one of the base station and the mobile station may be a device mounted on a mobile object, the mobile object itself, etc. The mobile object refers to a movable object, and may move at any speed. Naturally, this also includes cases where the mobile object is stationary. Examples of the mobile object include, but are not limited to, vehicles, transport vehicles, automobiles, motorcycles, bicycles, connected cars, excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, dump trucks, forklifts, trains, buses, handcars, rickshaws, ships and other watercraft, airplanes, rockets, satellites, drones (registered trademark), multicopters, quadcopters, balloons, and objects mounted thereon. The mobile object may also be a mobile object that moves autonomously based on an operational command. The mobile object may also be a vehicle (e.g., a car, an airplane, etc.), an unmanned mobile object (e.g., a drone, an autonomous vehicle, etc.), or a robot (manned or unmanned). At least one of the base station and the mobile station may be a device that does not necessarily move during communication operations. For example, at least one of the base station and the mobile station may be an IoT (Internet of Things) device such as a sensor.
[0215] Furthermore, a base station in the present disclosure may be read as a user terminal. For example, the aspects / embodiments of the present disclosure may be applied to a configuration in which communication between a base station and a user terminal is replaced with communication between multiple terminals 20 (which may be called, for example, Device-to-Device (D2D) or Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X)). In this case, the terminal 20 may be configured to have the functions of the base station 10 described above. Furthermore, terms such as "uplink" and "downlink" may be read as terms corresponding to terminal-to-terminal communication (for example, "side"). For example, terms such as an uplink channel and a downlink channel may be read as a side channel.
[0216] Similarly, the user terminal in the present disclosure may be read as a base station, in which case the base station may be configured to have the functions of the user terminal described above.
[0217] As used in this disclosure, the terms "determining" and "determining" may encompass a wide variety of actions. "Determining" and "determining" may include, for example, judging, calculating, computing, processing, deriving, investigating, looking up, searching, inquiring (e.g., searching in a table, database, or other data structure), ascertaining, and the like. "Determining" and "determining" may also include receiving (e.g., receiving information), transmitting (e.g., sending information), input, output, accessing (e.g., accessing data in memory), and the like. Furthermore, "judgment" and "decision" can include regarding resolving, selecting, choosing, establishing, comparing, etc. as having been "judged" or "decided." In other words, "judgment" and "decision" can include regarding some action as having been "judged" or "decided." Furthermore, "judgment (decision)" can be interpreted as "assuming," "expecting," "considering," etc.
[0218] The terms "connected," "coupled," or any variation thereof, refer to any direct or indirect connection or coupling between two or more elements, and may include the presence of one or more intermediate elements between two elements that are "connected" or "coupled" to each other. The coupling or connection between elements may be physical, logical, or a combination thereof. For example, "connected" may be read as "access." As used in this disclosure, two elements may be considered to be "connected" or "coupled" to each other using one or more wires, cables, and / or printed electrical connections, as well as electromagnetic energy having wavelengths in the radio frequency range, microwave range, and optical (both visible and invisible) range, as some non-limiting and non-exhaustive examples.
[0219] The reference signal may be abbreviated as RS (Reference Signal) or may be called a pilot depending on the applicable standard.
[0220] As used in this disclosure, the phrase "based on" does not mean "based only on," unless expressly stated otherwise. In other words, the phrase "based on" means both "based only on" and "based at least on."
[0221] As used in this disclosure, any reference to an element using a designation such as "first," "second," etc. does not generally limit the quantity or order of those elements. These designations may be used in this disclosure as a convenient method of distinguishing between two or more elements. Thus, a reference to a first and a second element does not imply that only two elements may be employed or that the first element must in some way precede the second element.
[0222] The "means" in the configuration of each of the above devices may be replaced with "part," "circuit," "device," etc.
[0223] When the terms "include," "including," and variations thereof are used in this disclosure, these terms are intended to be inclusive, similar to the term "comprising." Furthermore, when the term "or" is used in this disclosure, it is not intended to be an exclusive or.
[0224] A radio frame may be composed of one or more frames in the time domain. Each of the one or more frames in the time domain may be called a subframe. A subframe may further be composed of one or more slots in the time domain. A subframe may have a fixed time length (e.g., 1 ms) that is independent of numerology.
[0225] Numerology may be communication parameters that apply to the transmission and / or reception of a signal or channel, such as subcarrier spacing (SCS), bandwidth, symbol length, cyclic prefix length, transmission time interval (TTI), number of symbols per TTI, radio frame structure, specific filtering operations performed by the transceiver in the frequency domain, specific windowing operations performed by the transceiver in the time domain, etc.
[0226] A slot may be composed of one or more symbols (such as an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbol or a Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA) symbol) in the time domain. A slot may be a time unit based on numerology.
[0227] A slot may include multiple minislots. Each minislot may consist of one or multiple symbols in the time domain. A minislot may also be called a subslot. A minislot may consist of fewer symbols than a slot. A PDSCH (or PUSCH) transmitted in a time unit larger than a minislot may be called PDSCH (or PUSCH) mapping type A. A PDSCH (or PUSCH) transmitted using a minislot may be called PDSCH (or PUSCH) mapping type B.
[0228] The radio frame, subframe, slot, minislot, and symbol all represent time units for transmitting signals, and may be referred to by other names corresponding to the radio frame, subframe, slot, minislot, and symbol.
[0229] For example, one subframe may be called a transmission time interval (TTI), multiple consecutive subframes may be called a TTI, or one slot or one minislot may be called a TTI. That is, at least one of the subframe and the TTI may be a subframe (1 ms) in existing LTE, a period shorter than 1 ms (for example, 1-13 symbols), or a period longer than 1 ms. Note that the unit representing the TTI may be called a slot, minislot, or the like instead of a subframe. Furthermore, one slot may be called a unit time. The unit time may differ for each cell depending on the numerology.
[0230] Here, TTI refers to, for example, the smallest time unit for scheduling in wireless communication. For example, in an LTE system, a base station performs scheduling to allocate wireless resources (such as frequency bandwidth and transmission power that can be used by each terminal 20) to each terminal 20 in TTI units. Note that the definition of TTI is not limited to this.
[0231] The TTI may be a transmission time unit for a channel-encoded data packet (transport block), a code block, a code word, etc., or may be a processing unit for scheduling, link adaptation, etc. When a TTI is given, the time interval (e.g., the number of symbols) to which a transport block, a code block, a code word, etc. is actually mapped may be shorter than the TTI.
[0232] When one slot or one minislot is called a TTI, one or more TTIs (i.e., one or more slots or one or more minislots) may be the minimum time unit for scheduling. Also, the number of slots (minislots) constituting the minimum time unit for scheduling may be controlled.
[0233] A TTI having a time length of 1 ms may be called a regular TTI (TTI in LTE Rel. 8-12), normal TTI, long TTI, regular subframe, normal subframe, long subframe, slot, etc. A TTI shorter than a regular TTI may be called a shortened TTI, short TTI, partial or fractional TTI, shortened subframe, short subframe, minislot, subslot, slot, etc.
[0234] In addition, a long TTI (e.g., a normal TTI, a subframe, etc.) may be interpreted as a TTI having a time length of more than 1 ms, and a short TTI (e.g., a shortened TTI, etc.) may be interpreted as a TTI having a TTI length shorter than the TTI length of a long TTI and greater than or equal to 1 ms.
[0235] A resource block (RB) is a resource allocation unit in the time domain and the frequency domain, and may include one or more consecutive subcarriers in the frequency domain. The number of subcarriers included in an RB may be the same regardless of the numerology, for example, 12. The number of subcarriers included in an RB may be determined based on the numerology.
[0236] The time domain of an RB may include one or more symbols and may have a length of one slot, one minislot, one subframe, or one TTI. One TTI, one subframe, etc. may each be composed of one or more resource blocks.
[0237] Note that one or more RBs may also be called a physical resource block (PRB), a sub-carrier group (SCG), a resource element group (REG), a PRB pair, an RB pair, etc.
[0238] Furthermore, a resource block may be composed of one or more resource elements (REs). For example, one RE may be a radio resource region of one subcarrier and one symbol.
[0239] A Bandwidth Part (BWP) (which may also be referred to as a fractional bandwidth) may represent a subset of contiguous common resource blocks (RBs) for a given numerology on a given carrier, where the common RBs may be identified by their index relative to a Common Reference Point of the carrier. PRBs may be defined in a BWP and numbered within the BWP.
[0240] The BWP may include a BWP for UL (UL BWP) and a BWP for DL (DL BWP). One or more BWPs may be set for the terminal 20 within one carrier.
[0241] At least one of the configured BWPs may be active, and the terminal 20 may not expect to transmit or receive a predetermined signal / channel outside the active BWP. Note that the terms "cell," "carrier," and the like in this disclosure may be read as "BWP."
[0242] The above-described structures of radio frames, subframes, slots, minislots, symbols, etc. are merely examples, and various changes may be made to the number of subframes included in a radio frame, the number of slots per subframe or radio frame, the number of minislots included in a slot, the number of symbols and RBs included in a slot or minislot, the number of subcarriers included in an RB, the number of symbols in a TTI, the symbol length, the cyclic prefix (CP) length, etc.
[0243] In this disclosure, where articles are added by translation, such as a, an, and the in English, the disclosure may include that the nouns following these articles are in the plural form.
[0244] In the present disclosure, the term "A and B are different" may mean "A and B are different from each other." The term may also mean "A and B are each different from C." Terms such as "separate" and "coupled" may also be interpreted in the same way as "different."
[0245] The aspects / embodiments described in this disclosure may be used alone, in combination, or switched depending on the implementation. Notification of predetermined information (e.g., notification that "X is true") is not limited to explicit notification, but may be implicit (e.g., not notifying the predetermined information).
[0246] Although the present disclosure has been described in detail above, it is clear to those skilled in the art that the present disclosure is not limited to the embodiments described herein. The present disclosure can be implemented in modified and altered forms without departing from the spirit and scope of the present disclosure as defined by the claims. Therefore, the description of the present disclosure is intended to be illustrative and does not have any limiting meaning on the present disclosure.
