Description

Electronic device for processing donation information and method of operation thereof

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a content production technology, and more specifically, to an electronic device for processing donation information in a performance content production service and an operating method thereof.

[0002] With the widespread adoption of the Internet, various media platforms are being built to support personal broadcasting and content sharing. Content creators (or streamers) can then provide their content to viewers through these platforms. Since media platforms do not impose specific restrictions on channel creation, a large volume of content on a wide range of topics can be delivered to viewers. Accordingly, various reward (or compensation) methods are being proposed for content creators to ensure viewers enjoy high-quality content.

[0003] The most commonly used reward payment method is direct financial support (or donation). Currently, these sponsorship methods are operated independently by each media platform. This approach has limitations: rewards cannot be paid to content creators when viewers consume content provided by media platforms that do not support sponsorship models, or even when the platform supports sponsorship models, when viewers are not registered with the platform.

[0004] In this regard, reference may be made to prior literature such as KR10-2220762B1 and KR10-2020-0013887A.

[0005] The purpose of the present disclosure is to provide an electronic device and an operating method thereof for processing donation information in a performance content production service.

[0006] The present disclosure aims to provide an electronic device and an operating method thereof for providing a donation model independent of a media platform.

[0007] The problems to be solved by the present disclosure are not limited to the problems described above, and other problems not mentioned will be clearly understood by those skilled in the art from the description below.

[0008] In an operation method of a first electronic device for processing donation information related to a content production service according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the operation method may include a step of obtaining donation selection information including a donation request from a user terminal, a step of processing donation information for performing a viewer's support for a streamer based on the donation selection information, and a step of providing a donation play video generated based on a result of processing the donation information to a second electronic device related to a media platform service.

[0009] In addition, the operating method further includes a step of providing a donation list to the user terminal, wherein the donation list includes a plurality of asset donation information, and the donation selection information may correspond to at least one asset donation information selected by the user among the plurality of asset donation information.

[0010] Additionally, each of the plurality of asset donation information may include at least a portion of asset information related to the effect applied to the streamer by the sponsorship and information on goods required for the sponsorship.

[0011] Additionally, the step of obtaining the donation selection information may include a step of performing a transaction based on the product information included in the asset donation information selected by the user.

[0012] Additionally, the asset information included in the asset donation information selected by the user may be applied to the streamer immediately after the transaction is performed.

[0013] Additionally, asset information included in the asset donation information selected by the user may be applied to the streamer based on a preset timing.

[0014] Additionally, the donation list may include at least one of a donation list related to the streamer's head, a donation list related to the streamer's body type, a donation list related to the streamer's clothing, a donation list related to the streamer's accessories, and a donation list related to effects for content.

[0015] Additionally, the above content creation service may be a metaverse-based content creation service.

[0016] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a first electronic device for processing donation information in relation to a content production service, the first electronic device includes a transceiver, a memory for storing commands, and a processor, wherein the processor connected to the transceiver and the memory obtains donation selection information including a donation request from a user terminal, processes donation information for performing a viewer's support for a streamer based on the donation selection information, and provides a donation play video generated based on a result of processing the donation information to a second electronic device related to a media platform service.

[0017] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, a computer program stored in a computer-readable storage medium for executing a donation information processing method in relation to a content production service, combined with hardware, may include a step of obtaining donation selection information including a donation request from a user terminal, a step of processing donation information for performing a viewer's support for a streamer based on the donation selection information, and a step of providing a donation play video generated based on a result of processing the donation information to a second electronic device related to a media platform service.

[0018] According to the present disclosure, by providing an electronic device for processing donation information and an operating method thereof, it is possible to promote support for streamers and induce streamers to produce better quality content.

[0019] According to the present disclosure, user convenience can be improved by providing a donation model independent of the media platform.

[0020] The effects according to the present disclosure are not limited to the effects described above, and other effects not mentioned will be clearly understood by those skilled in the art from the description below.
