Abstract
Description
[0001] ELECTRONIC DEVICE IMPROVED FOR VIEWING SELF-PORTRAIT IMAGES CAPTURED BY A SMARTPHONE CAMERA TO WHICH IT IS ATTACHED
[0002] FIELD OF INVENTION
[0003] The present invention relates generally to the technical field of electronics, and in particular to devices known as "gadgets" or electronic devices that interact with smartphones. More specifically, it relates to an improved electronic device for displaying self-portrait images captured by a camera on a smartphone to which it is attached.
[0004] BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0005] Smartphones generally include at least one camera of a certain resolution. The most complete ones include at least a rear camera and a front camera. Typically, the rear camera, which the user uses to take photos and videos, has the highest resolution, while the front camera is the one with the lowest resolution. Traditionally, users tend to take selfies, using the front camera, which has the lowest resolution, and therefore the photos are usually of lower quality.
[0006] If you need to take a selfie or video with the camera facing away from your smartphone screen, you can't see the screen when taking the photo or recording. Similarly, when trying to take photos at high or low angles, it's impossible to see what you're taking or recording in the smartphone image due to the tilt of the smartphone. This is because it doesn't have an external mirrored screen with movement to capture the image from the smartphone lens.
[0007] In an attempt to address this issue, devices such as selfie sticks have been developed. These sticks integrate smartphone holders and an elongated handle. This holder allows the smartphone to be held in a position that allows for taking selfies from a greater distance. However, it is always necessary to use the lower-resolution camera. And while it is possible to use the higher-resolution rear camera, when the user is standing back, it is not easy to focus on the photo. It is also difficult to manipulate the phone to adjust some of the camera's settings to improve the image.
[0008] The present invention relates to an improved electronic device for viewing self-portrait images captured by a smartphone camera. The device can be mounted on the back of the smartphone to access the display of the smartphone's higher-resolution camera, which is almost always located opposite the smartphone's screen. This device allows the user to view the resulting photographs and recordings at all times, and to overcome any obstacles encountered when taking photographs or recordings with the smartphone's higher-resolution camera.
[0009] A search was carried out to determine the closest state of the art, and the following documents were found:
[0010] Document MX5133B (from file MX / u / 2019 / 000184) by Jaire Ornar Flores Cortes et. al. was located.of November 24, 2022, which discloses a device for viewing and replicating in real time images captured by a smartphone camera, characterized in that it consists of a secondary screen that is articulated and intercommunicated wired or wirelessly with a smartphone to duplicate the image captured by the high or low resolution camera of said smartphone where it is anchored; said screen being mounted in a housing where the electronics are housed and embedded; said housing is fixed with the capacity to rotate to a support element that allows it degrees of freedom of rotation together with said secondary screen, by means of a rotation adjustment knob; and where said support element is attached and fixed with fixing means to a grip and fastening element that acts as a clip-type anchor to hold and mount on the smartphone.Wherein said gripping and holding element consists of a rigid and malleable metal core or other similar rigid and resistant material, lined with a leather or synthetic material cover, wherein said metal core provides rigidity and support.
[0011] The problem with this device lies primarily in its high cost, resulting from the need for a gripping and holding element consisting of a rigid, malleable metal core covered with a leather or synthetic material sheath. Furthermore, constant use of this gripping element causes it to weaken, or with excessive use, it can fracture and lose its functionality.
[0012] On the other hand, the device for real-time display with greater size and resolution of images captured by a smartphone camera of document MX5133B does not integrate a support element configured to be magnetically attached to an adhesive magnetic plate that adheres, coupling and uncoupling in a simpler way, AND requiring less space or dimension of the invention, that is, it is smaller, and / or allowing itself to be thinner and lighter. Either directly on the rear face of said smartphone or in a protective case for said smartphone and also that it has at least one battery with the electronics configured to be able to emit charge towards the cell phone or to receive charge from the same cell phone.
[0013] Another located document is document CN107197064A by Zhu Binjie, dated July 21, 2017, which discloses a selfie aid device. The selfie aid device is connected to an electronic device provided with a first surface and a second surface, and which are arranged oppositely, where a display screen is arranged on the first surface, a camera lens is arranged on the second surface. The selfie auxiliary device comprises an adjustment component and a display component provided with a mirror surface, the adjustment component is separately connected with the electronic device and the display component, the adjustment component is adjusted to locate the display component on one side of the first surface of the electronic device, so that the mirror surface displays an output image of the display screen, and then, when a user takes a selfie through the camera lens provided on the second surface of the electronic device, the user can confirm the shooting content of the camera lens through the screen of the mirror surface.Consequently, the user can obtain high-quality photographic content using the rear camera of the electronic device, and in the meantime, the user can also observe the photographic content in real time, thereby improving the user experience.
[0014] According to Fig. 1, while the selfie assist device 1 includes an adjustment component 11 as a articulated arm and a developing component 12, wherein both ends of the adjustment assembly 11 are respectively connected to the electronic device 2 and the developing assembly 12, and the developing assembly 12 further has a mirror 121. By adjusting the adjustment assembly 11 to make the display, the image component 12 is located on one side of the first surface 21 (i.e., on one side of the touch screen of the smartphone) of the electronic device 2 to make the mirror surface 121 display a display screen of the electronic device 211, the user receives the self-timer through the camera lens 221 (i.e., the rear camera using a smartphone) provided on the second surface 22 of the electronic device 2.The image display confirms the image content of the image lens 221, i.e. the framing range of the rear-facing camera.
[0015] The adjustment assembly 11 is in a deployed state by adjusting the positions of the connecting rods 112A and 112B. In this state, the developing assembly 12 can be placed on one side of the first surface 21 of the electronic device 2, that is, one side of the touch screen of the smartphone, such that the mirror surface 121 of the imaging device 12 faces the touch screen of the smartphone. The mirror 121 synchronously displays the output screen of the display screen 211 of the electronic device 2 in a reflective manner.
[0016] Document CN107197064A, although it shows a selfie stick, it comprises a very simple and basic structure, making use of an articulated arm to fix it to a smart device, which comprises a mirror that reflects the image displayed on the screen of the smart device that is taken by the higher resolution camera 221 so that the user can choose the most appropriate shot. It is an ordinary articulated arm structure that does not offer stability to the selfie stick, because it is a single articulated arm comprising two sections hingedly joined, one joined at a single point on one corner of the smart device and the other joined at a single point on the corner of the selfie stick.
[0017] On the other hand, the device in document CN107197064A does not include a support element configured to be magnetically attached to an adhesive magnetic plate that adheres either directly to the back of said smartphone or to a protective case for said smartphone, and it does not have at least one battery with electronics configured to be able to emit charge to the cell phone or to receive charge from the same cell phone.
[0018] Another located document is BR112021016327A2 by Jungjin KIM et al. with a filing date of February 17, 2020, which discloses a joint module and foldable electronic device wherein one aspect of the invention is to provide a link module that includes a structure capable of maintaining a coupling of a rotating structure and a fixed structure even when an external impact is applied, and an electronic device that includes the link module.
[0019] A hinge module according to one embodiment includes a fixed frame including a center portion, the guide portion having an edge facing an edge of the center portion, and a support portion configured to connect the center portion and the guide portion, wherein an inner space is formed between the center portion and the guide portion, a connecting shaft extending into the inner space through the center portion and including a gear formed on at least a portion of an outer circumferential surface of the connecting shaft, and a rotating frame shaft disposed in the inner space, the rotating frame including a circular arc-shaped gear having a plurality of gear teeth arranged in a circular arc-shaped manner and being engaged with the gear, wherein the rotating frame rotates about a virtual rotation axis passing through a circular arc center of the circular arc-shaped gear.
[0020] It is evident that the invention disclosed in document BR1 12021016327A2 is very far from our invention, the purpose of which is to make available an improved electronic device for viewing images captured by a camera of a smartphone to which it is attached, which allows taking a self-portrait image using primarily the higher resolution front camera of the smartphone and allows the user to view in real time how the photographs and recordings will turn out; where the device comprises a support element configured to be magnetically attached to an adhering magnetic plate that adheres, either directly to the rear face of said smartphone or to a protective case of said smartphone.Said document BR112021016327A2 also does not reveal or suggest that the device comprises a battery that is interconnected with electronics and at least one coil to receive charge from the smartphone or transmit charge to the smartphone.
[0021] It is more than evident that there is currently no improved electronic device that can be magnetically attached to the back of a smartphone and that can interconnect with it, in particular with the interface screen of the high resolution camera of the same smartphone for viewing self-portrait images to capture photographs and videos with higher resolution and especially at high angles and low angles to be able to have a display that in most cases, in this type of shots you cannot see on the screen that smartphones have, so that our invention solves said problem in this technical field, in addition to offering the possibility of being able to emit charge to the smartphone or receive charge from it if required.
