Description

Hair styling nozzle and hair dryer

[0001] The present invention relates to a hair styling nozzle for fixing the shape of hair and a hair dryer having the same.

[0002] A hair dryer that discharges gas through an air outlet can be used to remove as much moisture as desired from wet hair or to style hair from its current shape to a desired shape.

[0003] A fan unit for circulating gas may be built into the inside of the hair dryer, and a hair dryer including such an internal configuration may be designed to be convenient for the user to use by taking into account its own weight, etc.

[0004] The heater module is located in the head, and if the heat from the heater module increases the case temperature, it poses a risk of burns and can affect internal components such as the control unit. Therefore, a structure is required that ensures that the heat from the heater module is fully transferred to the air passing through the circuit, rather than being transferred to the outside or other sources.

[0005] In particular, for wireless use, a battery must be built-in, additional space must be secured for mounting the battery in the hair dryer, and additional components such as an ion generator can be installed to expand functionality.

[0006] Hair dryers can be used for more than just drying hair. Styling hair requires separate tools like hairbrushes or heat-applying curling irons, or professional techniques, making it difficult to achieve satisfactory results at home.

[0007] Development is underway on various types of accessories to expand the functionality of hair dryers to make hair styling easier.

[0008] The purpose of the present invention is to provide a hair styling nozzle for volume-up and a hair dryer equipped with the same.

[0009] A styling nozzle coupled to an air discharge unit of a hair dryer, comprising: a rear coupling portion coupled to the air discharge unit; and a comb plate extending forward from the rear coupling portion and having a plurality of comb plates arranged at a predetermined interval in a first direction, wherein the comb plate has a rear end coupled to the rear coupling portion and has a length in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction that becomes narrower as it extends forward, and the rear coupling portion is located on the periphery of the air discharge unit and includes a ring coupling portion coupled to which both ends of the rear end of the comb plate in the second direction are coupled.

[0010] The two ends of the second direction of the above comb plate can draw a concave curve toward the center.

[0011] The rear coupling portion includes a ring coupling portion located around the periphery of the air discharge portion and to which the second direction ends of the rear end of the comb plate are coupled; and a central coupling portion located inside the ring coupling portion and to which the second direction central portion of the rear end of the comb plate is coupled, wherein the central coupling portion can be fastened to a magnet located at the center of the air discharge portion.

[0012] A phase plug extending forward from the central joint portion and having a second direction length that becomes smaller as it goes forward is included, and the second direction length of the phase plug may be smaller than the second direction length of the plurality of comb plates.

[0013] The above ring joint, the comb plate and the phase plug can be injection-molded as an integral part.

[0014] The two ends of the second direction of the above phase plug can draw a concave curve toward the center.

[0015] The above phase plug can extend forward while maintaining a constant distance between the second direction end of the comb plate and the second direction end of the phase plug.

[0016] An outer guide may be included that extends forward from the outer periphery of the ring joint and wraps around the outer periphery of the comb plate.

[0017] The above outer guide may have both ends protrude further forward than the central portion in the first direction.

[0018] A central joint located on the inner side of the ring joint and coupled to the center of the air discharge part of the hair dryer; and a phase plug extending forward from the central joint and having a vertical cross-section that becomes smaller as it goes forward, wherein the outer guide may be shorter than the front-back length of the phase plug.

[0019] The above comb plate includes an outer comb plate positioned at both ends in the first direction, and the outer comb plate may have a width in the first direction at the rear end that is wider than a width in the first direction at the front end.

[0020] In the first paragraph, the comb plate may include a catch end portion whose size is expanded at the front end.

[0021] According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a hair dryer comprising: a main body including a ring-shaped air discharge portion; and a styling nozzle coupled to the air discharge portion, wherein the styling nozzle comprises: a rear coupling portion coupled to the air discharge portion; and a comb plate extending forward from the rear coupling portion and having a plurality of comb plates arranged at a predetermined interval in a first direction, wherein the rear end of the comb plate is coupled to the rear coupling portion at both ends in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, and a length in the second direction becomes narrower as it extends forward.

[0022] The hair styling nozzle of the present invention can induce wind so that the wind is collected in a straight line from a circular air discharge portion.

[0023] In addition, the hair styling nozzle of the present invention can fix the shape of hair and apply heat without using a separate brush.

[0024] In addition, the hair styling nozzle of the present invention has an advantage in that a hook is formed at the end, so that hair does not fall off the comb during styling, making hair styling easier.

[0025] The effects that can be obtained from the present invention are not limited to the effects mentioned above, and other effects not mentioned can be clearly understood by a person having ordinary skill in the art to which the present invention belongs from the description below.

[0049] Also, in this specification, the term 'and / or' includes a combination of multiple listed items or any item among multiple listed items. In this specification, 'A or B' can include 'A', 'B', or 'both A and B'.

[0050] The present invention relates to a portable device that can be held and used by a user, and refers to a small-sized electronic device that a user can hold and use by hand. Since the portable device is not used in a stationary state but is directly held by the user, it must be lightweight, and the grip of the handle (102) is important. In addition, a waterproof function may be required to prevent external contaminants from entering. Furthermore, the gap between the case and the frame needs to be sealed to prevent internal air from being discharged to areas other than the air outlet.

[0051] The portable device of the present invention relates to a beauty device, and a representative example thereof is a hair dryer (100) for managing hair. Although the description is based on the hair dryer (100), the present invention is not limited thereto, and portable devices such as skin care devices or body care devices that a user holds in his / her hand and uses may also be included in the present invention.

[0052] Fig. 1 is a front perspective view illustrating a hair dryer (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention, and Fig. 2 is a rear perspective view of the hair dryer (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention. Fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the hair dryer (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention, taken along line AA of Fig. 2.

[0053] In the drawing, the x-axis represents the left-right direction, the y-axis represents the front-back direction, and the z-axis represents the up-down direction. When viewed from the front, +x is the right, and -x is the left. +y is the front, -y is the back, +z is the top, and -z is the bottom.

[0054] A hair dryer (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a main body composed of a head portion (101) and a handle portion (102). The handle portion (102) is provided with an air inlet portion (104) at the bottom through which air is introduced from the outside, and the head portion (101) may include an air discharge portion (103) through which gas is discharged, a heater module (150), and a touch display (135) on the back.

[0055] The interior of the main body (101, 102) of the hair dryer (100) includes an air path extending from the air inlet (104) to the air outlet (103). The air path of the present invention is not a straight path, but as shown in FIG. 3, moves vertically in the handle portion (102) and is bent horizontally in the head portion (101).

[0056] The air inlet (104) may be located at the bottom of the handle (102), and the air outlet (103) may be located at the front of the head (101). The handle (102) and the head (101) have shapes corresponding to the extension direction of the air flow path. For usability, the handle (102) may extend in a direction slightly inclined forward from the vertical direction based on the head (101).

[0057] The handle portion (102) is configured as a cylinder with a diameter that a user can hold by hand, and the head portion (101) can also be configured as a cylinder with a larger diameter than the handle portion (102). The diameter of the handle portion (102) can be formed to be the same from the bottom to the top, but the head portion (101) can have a shape with a slightly smaller diameter at the front so that wind comes out at a high speed with strong pressure through the air discharge portion (103).

[0058] The air inlet (104) includes a gas intake hole (1283) formed along the periphery of the handle portion (102) and may include a filter to prevent foreign substances such as dust from entering. A filter frame to which the filter is fixed may be positioned at the bottom of the handle portion (102) and may constitute the air inlet (104).

[0059] The filter is made of a different material from the case (111, 121) forming the exterior of the hair dryer (100), and is a thin film-shaped member, so it may be damaged by external impact. Therefore, a filter cover (128) may be further included to protect the filter, and the filter cover (128) may be configured to be detachable for cleaning and replacement of the filter.

[0060] The air discharge unit (103) is located in front of the head unit (101) and may include a ring-shaped opening. As illustrated in FIG. 3, the heating wire (156) of the heater module (150) of the present invention has a donut shape with an empty center and is wound around a cylindrical heater housing (158). Depending on the arrangement of the heating wire (256), the air discharge unit (103) may also have a ring shape. That is, the center of the air discharge unit (103) may be blocked to form a ring shape.

[0061] In order to expand the functionality of the hair dryer (100), a styling nozzle (200) that is coupled to the air outlet (103) may be further included. The styling nozzle (200) may be easily detachable through a magnet located in the central portion of the air outlet (103).

[0062] Fig. 4 is a perspective view of a styling nozzle (200) according to a first embodiment of the present invention, and Fig. 5 is a cross-sectional view of a styling nozzle (200) according to a first embodiment of the present invention. Fig. 6 is a front view of a styling nozzle (200) according to a first embodiment of the present invention, and Fig. 7 is a plan view of a styling nozzle (200) according to a first embodiment of the present invention.

[0063] The styling nozzle (200) of the present invention is detachable from the air discharge unit (103) of the hair dryer (100) and serves to guide the flow of hot air coming from the air discharge unit (103).

[0064] The styling nozzle (200) of the present invention can be used for volume-up styling, which applies heat to the hair roots to lift them from the scalp. For volume-up styling, a roll-shaped comb is used to wrap the hair near the scalp, and then heat is applied using a hair dryer (100) to fix the shape of the hair.

[0065] However, the task of shaping hair with a roller comb and then applying heat with a hair dryer (100) to fix it is difficult, making it difficult to achieve volume-up styling. The styling nozzle (200) of the present invention is an auxiliary accessory that can be connected to a hair dryer (100) to easily lift hair from the scalp without a separate roller comb, facilitating volume-up styling.

[0066] The styling nozzle (200) of the present embodiment includes a rear coupling portion (210) that comes into contact with the air discharge portion (103) and a plurality of comb plates (220) that extend forward from the rear coupling portion (210) and are arranged at predetermined intervals in the first direction. The rear coupling portion (210) may include a ring coupling portion (211) that is coupled to the periphery of the air discharge portion (103) and a central coupling portion (215) that is located at the center of the ring coupling portion (211) and is connected to the nozzle coupling portion (113) of the main body.

[0067] The first direction (D1) means a horizontal direction in the drawing, and the second direction (D2) means a vertical direction in the drawing. When the styling nozzle (200) is connected to the air discharge part (103) of the hair dryer (100), it can be freely connected at 360°, so instead of using the expressions horizontal and vertical, the first direction (D1) and the second direction (D2) are used to describe it.

[0068] When the styling nozzle (200) is attached to the main body, the ring joint (211) comes into contact with the outer periphery of the air discharge unit (103). The hot air discharged from the air discharge unit (103) passes through a ring-shaped space between the ring joint (211) and the central joint (215), and includes a plurality of comb plates (220) extending forward from the front of the ring joint (211).

[0069] A plurality of comb plates (220) can be arranged at a predetermined distance apart in a first direction (D1), and the comb plates (220) are plate-shaped members extending in a second direction (D2) perpendicular to the first direction (D1). As shown in Fig. 5, the rear end of the comb plate (220) can be connected to a ring connecting portion (211) at both ends in the second direction (D2), and the middle portion can be connected to a central connecting portion (215).

[0070] Referring to Fig. 7, a plurality of comb plates (221) are spaced apart at equal intervals in the first direction (D1), and the thickness in the first direction (D1) may have the same value in the front-back direction. However, the outer comb plates (222) located at both ends in the first direction (D1) may have a width in the first direction (D1) of the rear end thereof thicker than that of the front end. As illustrated in Fig. 6, the maximum thickness in the first direction (D1) of the rear end of the outer comb plate (222) may have a value corresponding to the width of the ring joint (211).

[0071] Since the part where the ring joint (211) is located does not emit wind, there is no need to additionally provide a comb plate (220), and since the outer comb plate (222) is a part directly affected by external impact, the rear end can be configured to be thick to increase the rigidity of the styling nozzle (200).

[0072] As illustrated in Fig. 5, the width of the second direction (D2) at the rear end may be the widest and may become narrower towards the front, thereby forming a pointed shape. The comb plate (220) may be configured to have a longer narrow section in the second direction (D2) so that it can be easily inserted between the hair and enable natural volume-up styling. As illustrated in Fig. 5, the slope of the rear end may be formed steeply to form a concave slope toward the center of the second direction (D2).

[0073] When hot air is applied after inserting the comb plate (220) into the hair, the hot air can be supplied to the hair caught in the comb plate (220), allowing for volume-up styling without a separate roller comb.

[0074] Referring to Fig. 1, the air discharge portion (103) of the hair dryer (100) may have a ring shape and include a nozzle coupling portion (113) equipped with a magnet for coupling to a styling nozzle (200) in a centrally blocked portion.

[0075] The styling nozzle (200) may include a central coupling portion (215) having a nozzle magnet whose pole is opposite to the magnet of the nozzle coupling portion (113). The central coupling portion (215) may be positioned at the center of the ring coupling portion (211) and may be arranged to form a uniform gap with respect to the inner circumference of the ring coupling portion (211).

[0076] The center of the central joint (215) and the center of the ring joint (211) are arranged concentrically so as to be the same, and the space between the outer circumference of the ring joint (211) and the outer circumference of the central joint (215) can coincide with the ring-shaped discharge port of the air discharge portion (103).

[0077] A phase plug (230) protruding forward from the central joint (215) may be included. As shown in Fig. 5, the phase plug (230) has a sharp front end and can serve as a guide to gather the hot air discharged in a ring shape toward the center in the second direction (D2).

[0078] In addition, the phase plug (230) is connected only to the ring joint (211) and both ends in the second direction (D2) of the plurality of comb plates (220), so it is vulnerable to impact in the first direction (D1) and thus has a risk of damage. The phase plug (230) can be configured as an integral part with the plurality of comb plates (220) to increase the rigidity of the comb plates (220).

[0079] That is, the comb plate (220) can prevent the comb plate (220) from shaking or being damaged in the first direction (D1) while the rear end is connected to the ring connection part (211) or the phase plug (230) except for the section between the ring connection part (211) and the central connection part (215).

[0080] The phase plug (230) can be visually exposed between multiple comb plates (220) as shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, but as shown in FIG. 5, its size in the second direction (D2) is smaller than that of the comb plates (220) and thus does not protrude from the comb plates (220).

[0081] The central joint (215) is formed as a circle whose shape in the first direction (D1) and the shape in the second direction (D2) are the same as those in the first direction (D1) as shown in FIG. 6 to match the nozzle joint (113) of the hair dryer (100). However, since the phase plug (230) serves as a guide to gather the wind toward the center in the second direction, the shape in the first direction (D1) and the shape in the second direction (D2) may be different as shown in FIGS. 5 and 7.

[0082] Since the wind in the first direction (D1) is not spread laterally by the multiple comb plates (220), the shape of the phase plug (230) does not significantly affect the direction of the wind, and thus it can be formed as a convex surface facing forward as in Fig. 7, or as a rectangle or in a shape in which the outline of the plan view is a straight line.

[0083] However, since the wind in the second direction (D2) has no configuration to block it from the top and bottom, it is affected by the cross-sectional shape of the second direction (D2) of the phase plug (230). Fig. 8 is a drawing illustrating the flow of hot air of the styling nozzle (200) according to the first embodiment of the present invention, in which (a) is a drawing illustrating the flow of hot air in the section (a) of Fig. 7 and (b) is a drawing illustrating the flow of hot air in the section (b) of Fig. 7.

[0084] (a) shows the hot air flow in the central part of the first direction (D1) where the phase plug (230) is most protruded, and (b) shows the hot air flow in the end part. As shown in (a), the hot air is discharged from both sides of the second direction (D2) of the central part of the first direction (D1) of the phase plug (230), and since the wind moves along the outer surface of the phase plug (230), it can be confirmed that the wind moves in accordance with the shape of the phase plug (230).

[0085] As shown in (b) of Fig. 8, the end portion in the first direction (D1) has a gas discharge port located only in the center of the second direction (D2), so that hot air is discharged in a straight line from the center portion, but as shown in (a) of Fig. 8, it can be confirmed that the center portion tends to spread widely in the second direction (D2).

[0086] The shape of the phase plug (230) can be changed to guide the flow of hot air in the central portion of the first direction (D1) to be concentrated in the center of the second direction (D2).

[0087] FIG. 9 is a cross-sectional view of a styling nozzle (200) according to a second embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 10 is a drawing illustrating the flow of wind in a styling nozzle (200) according to the second embodiment of the present invention.

[0088] As illustrated in Fig. 9, the shape of the cross-section in the second direction (D2) of the phase plug (230) has a concave shape, unlike the embodiment described above. Like the comb plate (220), the slope at the rear end is steeper and the slope at the front end is gentle, forming a pointed shape, and the outer surface of the cross-section in the second direction (D2) can be arranged at the same distance from the outer surface of the comb plate (220).

[0089] Fig. 10 (a) illustrates the flow of hot air in the central portion of the first direction (D1) of the embodiment of Fig. 9, and (b) illustrates the flow of hot air in the end portion of the first direction (D1) of the embodiment of Fig. 9. Referring to Fig. 10 (b), the flow of hot air in the end portion of the first direction (D1) is not significantly different from that in the embodiment described above. In other words, the flow of hot air in the end portion of the first direction (D1) is not significantly affected by the shape of the phase plug (230).

[0090] However, referring to (a) of Fig. 10, the hot air in the central portion moves along the outer surface of the phase plug (230), so it can be confirmed that the hot air tends to gather in the central direction compared to (a) of Fig. 8.

[0091] Fig. 11 is a perspective view of a styling nozzle (200) according to a third embodiment of the present invention, and Fig. 12 is a cross-sectional view of a styling nozzle (200) according to a third embodiment of the present invention. The styling nozzle (200) of the present embodiment may include a catch end portion extended from a front end portion of a comb plate (220). The catch end portion refers to a portion having a shape protruding from the front end portion of the comb plate (220), and may include a first catch end portion (225) extended in a second direction (D2) as shown in Fig. 12.

[0092] The first engaging end (225) may extend only to one side in the second direction (D2), but may also have a form that is symmetrically extended to both sides in the second direction (D2), as illustrated in Fig. 12. It may include a first inclined surface (225d) extending from the maximum protrusion (225a) of the first engaging end (225) to the front end (225c) and a second inclined surface (225e) extending to the rear end (225b).

[0093] The first inclined plane (225d) and the second inclined plane (225e) may be symmetrical, or, as shown in FIG. 12, the second inclined plane (225e) may be configured as a step portion that is steeper or at an angle of 90° compared to the first inclined plane (225d).

[0094] The first hook end (225) can be configured in the shape of an arrowhead by differentiating the inclinations of the first inclined surface (225d) and the second inclined surface (225e). It is characterized in that it is easy to insert into hair, but easy to remove from hair only in a direction that does not interfere with the first hook end (225).

[0095] The width (a) of the maximum protrusion (225a) of the first hook end (225) in the second direction (D2) can be configured to have a size equal to 150% or 250% of the width (b) of the rear end (225b). If it is too large, there is no hair hooking effect, and if it is too small, there is a problem of hair tangling. Therefore, it can be configured to have a size within the range of 1.5 to 2.5 times.

[0096] Fig. 13 is a drawing illustrating the wind flow of a styling nozzle (200) according to a third embodiment of the present invention. (a) illustrates the hot air flow in the central portion in the first direction (D1), and (b) illustrates the hot air flow in the end portion in the first direction (D1).

[0097] The flow of hot air illustrated in Fig. 13 is almost the same as that of Fig. 10, and it can be confirmed that the addition of the first catch end (225) to the front end of the comb plate (220) does not have a negative effect on the flow of hot air.

[0098] Fig. 14 is a perspective view of a styling nozzle (200) according to a fourth embodiment of the present invention, and Fig. 15 is a cross-sectional view of a styling nozzle (200) according to a fourth embodiment of the present invention. Although the shape of the phase plug (230) is modified from that of the second or third embodiments described above, it is difficult to obtain a temperature sufficient to fix the hair by spreading the wind in the second direction (D2).

[0099] In order to further concentrate the wind toward the center and increase the temperature of the hot air, the present embodiment is characterized by including an outer guide (240) that wraps around the rear perimeter of the comb plate (220). The outer guide (240) extends forward from the outer perimeter of the ring joint (211) and wraps around the outside of the comb plate (220).

[0100] As shown in Fig. 15, the diameter of the front end in the second direction (D2) is smaller than that of the rear end, and the hot air discharged from the air discharge portion (103) can flow along the path between the outer guide (240) and the phase plug (230) and be induced to flow toward the center in the second direction (D2).

[0101] Fig. 16 is a drawing illustrating the wind flow of a styling nozzle (200) according to a fourth embodiment of the present invention. As shown in (a) of Fig. 16, the flow is directed toward the center, thereby increasing the speed of hot air and enabling the hot air to be supplied intensively to the area to be styled.

[0102] If the length of the outer guide (240) is too long, it is difficult to insert hair between the comb plates (220), so the length protruding forward from the phase plug (230) may be shorter.

[0103] That is, the position of the front end of the outer guide (240) is located behind the front end of the phase plug (230), and the embodiment of FIG. 14 is configured so that the position of the front end of the outer guide (240) forms a straight line. However, when the front end of the outer guide (240) extends only to the same position, as illustrated in FIG. 14, the length of the end portion in the first direction (D1) of the outer guide (240) becomes shorter.

[0104] The comb plate (220) at the end in the first direction (D1) has a short length in the second direction (D2), so the extension length of the outer guide (240) is also relatively shorter than that at the center. Since the end portion in the first direction (D1) has no effect of the outer guide (240), the front end of the outer guide (240) at the end in the first direction (D1) can be extended to be positioned further forward than the center portion (not shown).

[0105] As described above, the hair styling nozzle (200) of the present invention can induce wind so that the wind is collected in a straight line from the circular air discharge portion (103).

[0106] In addition, the hair styling nozzle (200) of the present invention can fix the shape of hair and apply heat without using a separate brush.

[0107] In addition, the hair styling nozzle (200) of the present invention has an advantage in that a hook is formed at the end so that hair does not fall off the comb during styling, making hair styling easier.

[0108] Although the present invention has been illustrated and described with respect to specific embodiments, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that the present invention may be variously improved and modified without departing from the technical spirit of the invention as defined by the following claims.

[0109] With respect to various embodiments for implementing the present invention, duplicate descriptions are omitted as they have been described above in the previous table of contents, Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention.

[0110] Since the present invention can be applied to hair dryers in various fields, its industrial applicability is recognized.
