Description

[0001] DESCRIPTION

[0002] Device to stop hiccups

[0003] Object of the invention

[0004] The present invention relates to a device for eliminating hiccups, essentially comprising a container containing a drinkable liquid and including a nozzle through which a user can conveniently sip the liquid while maintaining a specific position with their head tilted forward and their gaze directed downward. Thus, the object of the present description is a device whose structure facilitates drinking the liquid with the head tilted forward, thereby eliminating hiccups quickly and easily.

[0005] Background of the invention

[0006] Nowadays, everyone knows the discomfort and inconvenience that occurs when a hiccup attack occurs.

[0007] For hiccups, there are many known remedies that supposedly work, but in reality, they aren't very effective. These remedies include, for example, breathing into a bag, gargling, being scared, etc.

[0008] One of the most effective remedies is to drink water from a glass in an unusual way, such as "drinking water upside down." To do this, bend your body forward and, while maintaining this posture, try to drink the water from the glass by absorption or suction, placing your lips on the rim of the glass where the water tends to spill when the glass is carefully tilted.

[0009] The problem with this solution is that not everyone is able to drink water in the manner described in the previous paragraph, often resulting in the person getting wet or choking. Therefore, it is a solution that is rarely used or recommended, despite its effectiveness.

[0010] Description of the invention

[0011] In order to achieve the objectives and avoid the drawbacks mentioned in the previous sections, the invention proposes a device for relieving hiccups comprising a container formed by a structure with side walls, a base, and a nozzle opposite the base; said container configures an interior space for holding a drinkable liquid.

[0012] The container comprises two hollow bodies: a cartridge that forms the base of the container, and a removable cover that is tightly fitted onto the cartridge in a sealed manner; the cartridge includes a mouthpiece opposite the base.

[0013] The interior space of the container communicates with the exterior through a nozzle hole that forms part of the cover.

[0014] The nozzle is located in an alignment that is perpendicular to the sidewall structure of the vessel.

[0015] During use, the device is configured to rest on the user's hand by its sidewall structure with the nozzle facing upward to suck up the drinkable liquid contained within the container.

[0016] The container's sidewall structure includes a transparent measuring device that is configured to measure and view the liquid remaining inside the container.

[0017] The gauge is an elongated section located on the side wall of the cartridge that is perpendicular to the base of the cartridge.

[0018] The nozzle is a hollow body with an oval section that has a larger front base, the perimeter edge of which joins it to the cover itself, forming an integral part of it, and a smaller front base that includes the nozzle orifice that communicates with the interior space of the container; where the nozzle includes a side wall with a curved-concave generating profile.

[0019] The sidewall structures of the cartridge and the cover comprise pairs of larger sidewalls and pairs of smaller sidewalls; the base of the cartridge has a rectangular shape. The sidewall structure of the cartridge includes an upper portion with an outer perimeter recess adjacent to its mouth, and onto which the sidewall structure of the cover is tightly and tightly coupled, which includes a first portion with an inner perimeter recess that complements the outer perimeter recess of the cartridge; where the upper portion of the cartridge, which includes the outer perimeter recess, fits tightly within the first portion of the cover, which includes the inner perimeter recess.

[0020] Below, to facilitate a better understanding of this specification and as an integral part thereof, a series of figures are attached which, for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, represent the object of the invention.

[0021] Brief description of the figures

[0022] Figure 1.- Shows a perspective view of the device for removing hiccups, object of the invention.

[0023] Figure 2.- Shows an exploded perspective view of two hollow bodies that make up the device of the invention.

[0024] Figure 3.- Shows a view of the application of the device of the invention, where a user has his head tilted forward drinking the liquid contained inside the device.

[0025] Description of an embodiment of the invention

[0026] Considering the numbering adopted in the figures, the device for eliminating hiccups comprises a container (1) formed by two hollow bodies: a cartridge (1a) and a removable cover (1 b) that is configured to be able to be tightly coupled to the cartridge (1a) in a sealed manner; where the cartridge (1a) is configured to contain a drinkable liquid so that a user (II) can suck it by placing his lips on a mouthpiece (2) that forms part of the cover (1b).

[0027] Thus, the cartridge (1a) and the cover (1b) are coupled together by means of a hermetic seal that prevents the liquid (mainly water) that is inside the cartridge (1a) from escaping through the union between both bodies (1a), (1 b) that make up the container (1).

[0028] The cartridge (1a) comprises a parallelepiped configuration formed by two larger side walls, two smaller side walls and a rectangular base; where one of the larger side walls includes a measuring device (3) made of transparent material to quantify and view the liquid remaining inside said cartridge (1a). Said measuring device (3) is an elongated section located in the side wall of the cartridge (1a) that is perpendicular to the base of the cartridge 1a.

[0029] Obviously the cartridge may have other configurations different from the one described in the preceding paragraph.

[0030] The cover (1b) comprises two clearly differentiated parts; a first part that is configured to fit tightly onto the cartridge (1a), and a second part that includes the nozzle (2) and that is arranged above the first part, such that with the device of the invention supported by its base, the first part will be located in a lower area, while the nozzle (2) will be located in an upper area, opposite the lower area.

[0031] The first part of the cover (1 b) also comprises two larger side walls and two smaller side walls.

[0032] The nozzle (2) of the cover (1 b) can be made of a rigid or flexible material, and in the embodiment shown in the figures, said nozzle (2) is projected in an alignment (4) that is perpendicular with respect to the major side walls of the cover (1 b), so that said nozzle (2) protrudes with respect to one of said major side walls of the cover (1 b).

[0033] The nozzle (2) has an orifice (5) through which the user (U) can absorb the contents of the liquid from the container (1), so the shape of the nozzle (2) has an ergonomic configuration of curved-concave generatrix that allows it to adapt to the mouths of the users (U) who use the device of the present invention. Obviously, said orifice (5) communicates with the interior space of the container (1).

[0034] The nozzle (2) is a hollow body with an oval section that has a larger front base, by whose perimeter edge (9) it joins to the cover itself (1 b) forming part of it, and a smaller front base (10) that includes the orifice (5) of the nozzle (2) that communicates with the interior space of the container (1). The nozzle (2) includes a side wall (6) with the curved-concave generatrix profile described in the previous paragraph.

[0035] The cartridge (1a) includes an upper part with an outer perimeter recess (7) adjacent to its mouth, and on which the first part of the cover (1b) is tightly and tightly coupled. To this end, the first part of the cover (1 b) includes an inner perimeter recess (8) that is complemented by the outer perimeter recess (7) of the cartridge (1a), such that when the container (1) is assembled with its two bodies (1a), (1b) coupled together, the upper part of the cartridge (1a) with its outer perimeter recess (7) fits tightly inside the first part of the cover (1 b) with the inner perimeter recess (8).

[0036] The process of using the device of the invention would be as follows.

[0037] In a first phase, the cartridge (1a) is filled through its mouth with a drinkable liquid, such as water, and is closed with the cover (1b).

[0038] Then, in a second phase, the user (II) grabs the container assembly (1) with his hand, holding it by the cartridge (1a), with the base of the cartridge (1a) being closest to the user's wrist and the nozzle (2) of the cover (1b) being closest to the fingers of the hand of said user (II); where in this second phase of the use process, the nozzle (2) is obviously placed upwards; and where the container assembly (1) is placed in a substantially horizontal position resting on the user's hand (II).

[0039] In a third phase, the user (II) tilts his head forward and places his lips over the nozzle (2) to absorb the water through it. In this third phase, the container (1) will be slightly tilted downhill towards the nozzle (2) to ensure that the water flow always continues towards said nozzle (2).

[0040] To use the device of the invention, the user (II) may be in a standing position or in a sitting position as shown in Figure 3, so that after using the device, the user's (II) hiccups disappear within a few seconds.

[0041] The device of the invention is made of BPA-free polypropylene, with the advantage that it is dishwasher and hand washable.

[0042] It also has small dimensions that allow it to be easily transported.

[0043] Finally, it should be noted that the design and configuration of the device of the invention make it very easy to use, and can be used by users of any age, from children to the elderly.
