If certain tasks have not been completed, the lack of color change can clearlybe seen to help remind the user of the task and can help those around to help the user if theyare stuck. When all three tasks have been completed, a user can turn off the device and use itfor the same tasks as needed or can wipe off the tasks from writing surfaces 106 and write newtasks.

CLAIMSWhat Is Claimed:

1. A system for managing tasks, comprising:a input device having an external case having a top surface, a bottom surface, a frontsurface, a rear surface, and a pair of end surfaces;a plurality of lighted buttons located along said top surface of the external case andcapable of being activated to display at least a first color option and a second color option;a plurality of writing surfaces located along the front surface of the external case,corresponding to said lighted buttons;a writing utensil;wherein activating said buttons corresponds to the completion of a task and the lightedbutton is capable of changing from a first color to a second color;a memory unit;a processing unit;a power unit;an antenna capable of electronically communicating with an external mobile device,wherein activation of said buttons corresponds to a task completion input signal sentelectronically to a mobile device;an application on the mobile device that receives the task completion input from saidinput device and combines said input with a task database to determine and inform a user of asubsequent action for completing a subsequent task;wherein said task database comprises a set of information for a plurality of tasks basedon a plurality of factors.

A method for organizing task completion, comprising the steps:selecting a task to be performed;assigning a task to a user;storing said assigned task in a user database;determining a set of base challenge data with input from a challenge database, whereinsaid challenge database further comprises a set of matrices containing data for tasks / skills, age,related factors, and a base challenge score;retrieving performance data from an input device;updating the user database.receiving global performance data and combining it with information from a userdatabase; determining a competency score according to the formula CS = W1 * TF + W2 * FF,wherein TF represents a time factor determined by the formula:50≤ TF = ((User’s Time – Global Avg Time) / (Global Average Time)*50 ≤ 50,United States Patent Application 18 e-filedAttorney Docket No.: DECKJ-11011 3 March 2025and FF represents a frequency factor determined by the formula:0 ≤ FF = (1 / √(# of completions + 1))*50 ≤ 50, first weighted factor and W2 represents a second weighted factor;evaluating the competency score, wherein competency score ranges correspond to taskshaving a desired base challenge score;identifying a subsequent task based on the level of the competency score range;presenting task recommendations to a user.

8. The method of claim 7, further comprising the step of producing a reward indicator toa user.

9. The method of claim 8, wherein said reward indicator is a visual display.

10. The method of claim8, wherein said reward indicator is an auditory event.

11. The method of claim 8, wherein said reward indicator is a virtual sticker.

12. The method of claim 7, wherein said related factors are selected from the groupconsisting of: cognitive load, motor skill, physical effort, multi-step complexity, andindependence level.

13. The method of claim 12, wherein a base challenge score is calculated from the sum ofthe values attached to a said related factors for a particular age.
