[0001] The present disclosure relates to an electronic device and a control method thereof, and more particularly, to an electronic device providing a chat service to which a filtering function is applied and a control method thereof.
[0002] When viewing content, chat services may be provided. For example, while watching a sports game, an online chat service may be provided, allowing multiple users to converse about common interests. The display device may provide the chat service alongside or separately from the content.
