[0003] Conventionally, in a pants-type absorbent article (e.g., a pants-type diaper) having an absorbent main body and waistband members arranged to cover the front and rear of the absorbent main body from the non-skin side, a technique has been known in which an elastic member (crotch elastic member) that stretches along the longitudinal direction of the absorbent main body is provided to improve the fit of the absorbent main body in the crotch area.
