Abstract
Description
packaging
[0001] The present disclosure relates to packaging.
[0002] Conventionally, there have been known packages capable of storing flexible elongated members, such as catheters and guidewires, in a non-linear state, for example, wound around a circle. However, when a flexible elongated member is stored in a non-linear state, the elongated member may retain a bent tendency when removed from the package. Such a bent tendency of the elongated member can be corrected, for example, after the elongated member is removed from the package, using a corrector separate from the package. Patent Document 1 discloses a bending correction device capable of correcting the bending tendency of a flexible insertion portion of an endoscope.
[0003] JP 2008-173234 A
[0004] It is time-consuming to remove the long member from the package and to straighten the bend of the long member separately. In particular, since the long member as a medical instrument must be kept sterile until it is used on a patient, the device used for straightening also needs to be sterilizable. It is also difficult to straighten a long medical instrument without bringing it into contact with an unsanitary area such as a table. Therefore, it is desirable to straighten the bend of the long member when the long member is removed from the package.
[0005] An object of the present disclosure is to provide a package that can correct the bending tendency of a long member when the long member is removed.
[0006] A packaging body according to a first aspect of the present disclosure is a packaging body comprising: (1) a holder that defines a storage lumen that can store a flexible elongated member in a non-linear state and through which the elongated member can be inserted and removed along the longitudinal direction of the elongated member; and a straightening portion that can be attached to the holder or is formed integrally with the holder, wherein the straightening portion can correct a bending tendency of the elongated member that occurs when the elongated member is stored in the storage lumen when the elongated member is unwound from the storage lumen.
[0007] A packaging body according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is (2) the packaging body described in (1) above, which is changeable between a correction form in which the straightening portion corrects the bending tendency of the elongated member being unwound from the storage lumen and a non-correction form in which the straightening portion does not correct the bending tendency of the elongated member being unwound from the storage lumen.
[0008] A packaging body according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is (3) the packaging body described in (2) above, wherein the correction portion comprises a base member that receives the elongated member and a movable member that is movable relative to the base member, and the shape can be changed from the non-corrected shape to the corrected shape by moving the movable member relative to the base member.
[0009] A packaging body according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is (4) the packaging body described in (3) above, in which the movable member is attached so as to be movable linearly relative to the base member, and the shape can be changed between the non-corrected shape and the corrected shape by moving the movable member linearly relative to the base member.
[0010] A packaging body according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is (5) the packaging body described in (3) above, wherein the base member defines a straightening path capable of straightening the bending tendency of the long member, and the base member includes a guide portion that contacts the long member when the long member is inserted into the straightening path and guides the long member toward the straightening path.
[0011] A packaging body according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is (6) the packaging body described in (3) above, which can be changed in shape from the non-corrected shape to the corrected shape by sandwiching the elongated member between the movable member and the base member.
[0012] A packaging body according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is (7) the packaging body described in (3) above, in which the movable member is rotatably attached to the base member, and the shape can be changed between the non-corrected shape and the corrected shape by rotating the movable member relative to the base member.
[0013] A packaging body according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is (8) the packaging body described in (2) above, wherein the holder is flexible, the straightening portion has an axial member around which the holder can be wound, and when the elongated member is unwound from the storage lumen of the holder, the holder is wound around the axial member, thereby enabling the packaging body to change shape from the non-straightened shape to the straightened shape.
[0014] A packaging body according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is (9) the packaging body described in any one of (1) to (8) above, wherein the storage lumen of the holder extends circumferentially along a predetermined winding plane, the long member, when stored in the circumferentially extending storage lumen and viewed in a plan view perpendicular to the winding plane, has a convex surface on the radially outer side of the storage lumen and a concave surface on the radially inner side of the storage lumen, and the straightening portion is capable of straightening the long member so that the convex surface of the long member becomes concave.
[0015] A package according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is (10) the package according to any one of (3) to (7) above, wherein the straightening portion is positioned near the end of the storage lumen where the elongated member is unwound from the storage lumen.
[0016] According to the present disclosure, it is possible to provide a package that can correct the bending tendency of a long member when the long member is removed.

[0018] Hereinafter, an embodiment of a package according to the present disclosure will be described with reference to the drawings, in which the same components are designated by the same reference numerals.
[0019] 1 is a diagram showing a package 100 as one embodiment of a package according to the present disclosure. The package 100 is configured to be able to package a flexible elongated member 200, such as a catheter, in a non-linear state. The elongated member 200 may be distributed in a state packaged in the package 100.
[0020] As shown in FIG. 1 , the package 100 includes a holder 2 and a correcting portion 3 .
[0021] The holder 2 defines a storage lumen 2a. The storage lumen 2a can store the flexible elongated member 200 in a non-linear state. The storage lumen 2a is configured to allow the elongated member 200 to be inserted and removed along the longitudinal direction A of the elongated member 200. As will be described in detail later, the storage lumen 2a of this embodiment can store the flexible elongated member 200 so that the elongated member 200 rotates circumferentially along a predetermined winding plane.
[0022] The straightening section 3 can straighten the bending tendency of the elongated member 200 that occurs when the elongated member 200 is housed in the housing lumen 2a when the elongated member 200 is unwound from the housing lumen 2a.
[0023] The corrective unit 3 is attachable to the holder 2 or is formed integrally with the holder 2. The corrective unit 3 being "attachable to the holder 2" means that the corrective unit 3 is formed separately from the holder 2 and has an attachment part that can be attached to the holder 2. The configuration of the attachment part is not particularly limited. The attachment part may be configured to include, for example, a recess into which a part of the holder 2 can fit (see FIG. 15 ). The corrective unit 3 attachable to the holder 2 may be configured to be detachably attached to the holder 2, for example. Furthermore, the corrective unit 3 attachable to the holder 2 may be configured to be non-detachably attached to the holder 2, for example, by adhesion, welding, or the like.
[0024] In this way, the packaging body 100 is provided with the straightening unit 3 that can be attached to the holder 2 or is formed integrally with the holder 2, so that the bending tendency of the elongated member 200 can be corrected at the same time when the elongated member 200 is taken out of the holder 2 so that the elongated member 200 is unwound along the longitudinal direction A. Therefore, the elongated member 200 taken out of the packaging body 100 can be used for a procedure or the like without having to be corrected separately.
[0025] The packaging body 100 of this embodiment will be described in further detail below.
[0026] 1, the storage lumen 2a of the holder 2 of this embodiment extends circumferentially along a predetermined winding plane. Here, "extending circumferentially along a winding plane" does not necessarily mean extending completely parallel to the winding plane. Therefore, the storage lumen 2a may extend spirally completely parallel to the winding plane, or may extend helically approximately parallel to the winding plane.
[0027] More specifically, the holder 2 of this embodiment is a tubular body extending circumferentially along a predetermined winding plane. The tubular body serving as the holder 2 defines a hollow portion penetrating in the longitudinal direction B. The storage lumen 2a of this embodiment is the above-mentioned hollow portion of the tubular body serving as the holder 2. The holder 2 of this embodiment is provided, at one end in the longitudinal direction B, with an access port 11 through which the elongated member 200 can be inserted and removed. In other words, the elongated member 200 stored in the storage lumen 2a can be unreeled to the outside of the holder 2 through the access port 11 of the holder 2. In this embodiment, the elongated member 200 is stored in the storage lumen 2a so as to be aligned with the longitudinal direction B of the holder 2. Therefore, the longitudinal direction A of the portion of the elongated member 200 stored in the storage lumen 2a is the same as the longitudinal direction B of the holder 2. Furthermore, the portion of the elongated member 200 that is not housed in the housing lumen 2 a is substantially straight along the longitudinal direction A and does not have a tendency to bend. The housing lumen 2 a may be closed at the other end of the holder 2 in the longitudinal direction B, which is on the opposite side from the access opening 11.
[0028] The configuration of the holder 2 is not limited to the above-described configuration. The holder 2 may have other configurations as long as it can accommodate the flexible elongated member 200 in a non-linear state and defines a storage lumen 2a through which the elongated member 200 can be taken in and out along the longitudinal direction A of the elongated member 200. However, when a straightening unit 90 (see FIG. 16 ), which is one structural example of the straightening unit 3 described below, is used, the holder 2 is preferably a flexible tubular body.
[0029] The material of which the holder 2 is made is not particularly limited, but may be, for example, a resin material such as polyolefins such as polyethylene, polypropylene, ethylene-propylene copolymer, and ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, polyamide, or polyimide.
[0030] <Straightening section 3> The packaging body 100 of this embodiment is capable of changing its shape between a straightening configuration and a non-straightening configuration. The straightening configuration of the packaging body 100 is a configuration in which the straightening section 3 straightens the bending tendency of the elongated member 200 being unwound from the housing lumen 2a of the holder 2. The non-straightening configuration of the packaging body 100 is a configuration in which the straightening section 3 does not straighten the bending tendency of the elongated member 200 being unwound from the housing lumen 2a of the holder 2. Therefore, in the packaging body 100 of this embodiment, the bending tendency of the elongated member 200 can be straightened by unwounding the elongated member 200 from the housing lumen 2a in the straightening configuration. Furthermore, in the non-straightening configuration of the packaging body 100 of this embodiment, the elongated member 200 can be unwound from the housing lumen 2a without being straightened. Furthermore, by being in the unstraightened configuration, the package 100 of this embodiment can easily accommodate the elongated member 200 in the storage lumen 2a, for example, when the elongated member 200 is packed in the package 100. The package 100 of this embodiment may have a structure that prevents the elongated member 200 from being pulled out of the storage lumen 2a in the unstraightened configuration. This configuration can prevent accidental removal of the elongated member 200 from the storage lumen 2a in the unstraightened configuration. In this way, by having the package 100 configured to be changeable between the straightened configuration and the unstraightened configuration, the elongated member 200 can be easily inserted into and removed from the storage lumen 2a when the bending of the elongated member 200 does not need to be straightened. Furthermore, the straightening section 3 can prevent the formation of a bending tendency in the portion of the elongated member 200 that is not housed in the storage lumen 2a, even if the bending tendency has not been formed.
[0031] Such a package 100, together with the elongated member 200, is sealed in a bag (not shown) for maintaining a sterile state, and then sterilized, thereby maintaining the elongated member 200, the holder 2, and the correcting unit 3 in a sterile state as a whole. Specific examples of the shape change of the package 100 between the correcting form and the non-correcting form will be described later together with specific configuration examples of the correcting unit 3 (see FIGS. 2 to 16).
[0032] As described above, the storage lumen 2a of the holder 2 in this embodiment extends circumferentially along a predetermined winding plane. When the elongated member 200 is stored in the circumferentially extending storage lumen 2a and viewed in a plan view perpendicular to the winding plane (see FIG. 1 ), the elongated member 200 has a convex surface 201 on the outside in the radial direction C of the storage lumen 2a and a concave surface 202 on the inside in the radial direction C. The straightening unit 3 in this embodiment can straighten the elongated member 200 so that the convex surface 201 of the elongated member 200 becomes concave. The radial direction C of the storage lumen 2a refers to the radial direction of a circle formed by the circumferentially extending storage lumen 2a.
[0033] The specific configuration of the straightening unit 3 for straightening the bending tendency of the elongated member 200 will be described later together with specific configuration examples of the straightening unit 3 (see FIGS. 2 to 16).
[0034] 1 , the correction unit 3 is disposed near the end of the storage lumen 2a where the elongated member 200 is fed out from the storage lumen 2a. More specifically, the correction unit 3 of this embodiment is disposed near the access port 11 of the holder 2 where the elongated member 200 is fed out from the storage lumen 2a. Therefore, compared to a configuration in which the correction unit 3 is disposed away from the end of the storage lumen 2a, it is easier to make the entire package 100 smaller. Also, compared to a configuration in which the correction unit 3 is disposed away from the end of the storage lumen 2a, it is easier for a single surgeon to operate the holder 2 and the correction unit 3 simultaneously, thereby improving operability.
[0035] Specific configuration examples of the correction unit 3 will be described below with reference to FIGS.
[0036] (Configuration Example 1 of Correction Unit 3) FIGS. 2 to 7 are diagrams showing the correction unit 30 as one configuration example of the correction unit 3. FIG. 2 is a side view of the correction unit 30. As shown in FIG. 2, the correction unit 30 includes a base member 31 and a movable member 32. FIG. 2 is a diagram showing the correction unit 30 in a direction perpendicular to the payout direction A1 of the elongated member 200 and perpendicular to the relative movement direction of the base member 31 and the movable member 32 (the up-down direction in FIG. 2). The left diagram of FIG. 2 is a diagram showing the correction unit 30 in the packaging body 100 in the non-correction form, and the right diagram of FIG. 2 is a diagram showing the correction unit 30 in the packaging body 100 in the correction form. FIG. 3 is a plan view of the base member 31 as seen from the upper surface 31a side facing the movable member 32. FIG. 3 also shows the elongated member 200 received on the upper surface 31a of the base member 31. Fig. 4 is a plan view of the moving member 32 as viewed from the underside 32a side facing the base member 31. Fig. 5 is a cross-sectional view of the correction unit 30 taken along line II in Fig. 2. Fig. 6 is a cross-sectional view of the correction unit 30 taken along line II-II in Fig. 2. Fig. 7 is a cross-sectional view of the correction unit 30 taken along line III-III in Fig. 2. All of Figs. 5 to 7 show cross sections as viewed in the payout direction A1 of the elongated member 200.
[0037] 3, the base member 31 is configured to be able to receive the elongated member 200. Specifically, the base member 31 of this example can receive the elongated member 200 on an upper surface 31a that faces the moving member 32.
[0038] 2, the movable member 32 is movable relative to the base member 31. The packaging body 100 including the correcting portion 30 can change its shape from a non-correcting shape (see the left diagram in FIG. 2) to a correcting shape (see the right diagram in FIG. 2) by moving the movable member 32 relative to the base member 31.
[0039] Specifically, the base member 31 defines a straightening path 33 that can straighten the bending tendency of the elongated member 200. The straightening path 33 is formed on the upper surface 31a of the base member 31. When the elongated member 200 is inserted into the straightening path 33, the elongated member 200 is deformed so that the bending tendency is straightened. As shown in FIG. 2 , the package 100 including the straightening unit 30 can change its shape between a non-straightening shape (see the left diagram in FIG. 2 ) and a straightening shape (see the right diagram in FIG. 2 ) by moving the movable member 32 relative to the base member 31. In other words, by moving relative to the base member 31, the movable member 32 presses the elongated member 200 and can insert the elongated member 200 into the straightening path 33 of the base member 31.
[0040] More specifically, the upper surface 31a of the base member 31 in this example includes a planar base surface 34 that receives the elongated member 200 and three straightening protrusions 35 that protrude from the base surface 34. The straightening path 33 is defined by the three straightening protrusions 35. The three straightening protrusions 35 in this example are an upstream protrusion 35a located at the most upstream side in the payout direction A1 of the elongated member 200, a downstream protrusion 35c located at the most downstream side in the payout direction A1 of the elongated member 200, and an intermediate protrusion 35b located between the upstream protrusion 35a and the downstream protrusion 35c in the payout direction A1 of the elongated member 200. As shown in FIG. 3 , the straightening path 33 is formed to include an upstream gap G1 between the upstream protrusion 35a and the intermediate protrusion 35b, and a downstream gap G2 between the intermediate protrusion 35b and the downstream protrusion 35c. That is, the elongated member 200 is arranged to pass through the upstream gap G1 between the upstream protrusion 35 a and the intermediate protrusion 35 b and the downstream gap G2 between the intermediate protrusion 35 b and the downstream protrusion 35 c. Here, the three straightening protrusions 35 are arranged so that, in the top view shown in FIG. 3 , an imaginary line indicating the path of the straightening path 33 passing through both the upstream gap G1 and the downstream gap G2 is not a straight line. More specifically, the three straightening protrusions 35 of this embodiment are arranged so that, in the top view shown in FIG. 3 , there is no imaginary line passing through both the upstream gap G1 and the downstream gap G2. In other words, the three straightening protrusions 35 are arranged so that the elongated member 200 arranged to pass through the upstream gap G1 and the downstream gap G2 is forcibly bent and deformed at a position between the upstream gap G1 and the downstream gap G2 rather than extending linearly. Hereinafter, when there is no need to distinguish between the upstream protrusion 35a, the intermediate protrusion 35b, and the downstream protrusion 35c, they will be simply referred to as "straightening protrusion 35."
[0041] The elongated member 200 arranged in the straightening path 33 is sandwiched between the upstream protrusion 35a, the downstream protrusion 35c, and the intermediate protrusion 35b in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction A. More specifically, the elongated member 200 arranged in the straightening path 33 is pressed by the upstream protrusion 35a and the downstream protrusion 35c in one direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction A (upward in FIG. 3 ). Furthermore, the elongated member 200 arranged in the straightening path 33 is pressed by the intermediate protrusion 35b in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction A and in a direction opposite to the direction in which the upstream protrusion 35a and the downstream protrusion 35c press the elongated member 200 (downward in FIG. 3 ). The position at which the elongated member 200 is pressed by the intermediate protrusion 35b is between the position at which the elongated member 200 is pressed by the upstream protrusion 35a and the position at which the elongated member 200 is pressed by the downstream protrusion 35c in the longitudinal direction A.
[0042] As shown in FIGS. 5 to 7 , the base member 31 also includes guide portions 36 that come into contact with the elongated member 200 and guide the elongated member 200 toward the straightening path 33 when the elongated member 200 is inserted into the straightening path 33. The base member 31 in this example includes three guide portions 36. The three guide portions 36 are an upstream guide portion 36a provided on the upstream protrusion 35a, an intermediate guide portion 36b provided on the intermediate protrusion 35b, and a downstream guide portion 36c provided on the downstream protrusion 35c. The upstream guide portion 36a is an inclined surface formed on the side surface of the upstream protrusion 35a that faces the straightening path 33. The intermediate guide portion 36b is an inclined surface formed on the side surface of the intermediate protrusion 35b that faces the straightening path 33. The guide portion 36c is an inclined surface formed on the side surface of the downstream protrusion 35c that faces the straightening path 33. Hereinafter, when there is no need to distinguish between the upstream guide portion 36a, the intermediate guide portion 36b, and the downstream guide portion 36c, they will be simply referred to as "guide portion 36." As shown in Figures 5 to 7, the inclined surface serving as guide portion 36 is inclined at an obtuse angle with respect to the base surface 34. Also, as shown in Figures 5 to 7, the inclined surface serving as guide portion 36 is formed on the side surface of the straightening protrusion 35 at a position that connects to the top surface of the straightening protrusion 35.
[0043] In this way, the base member 31 is provided with the guide portion 36, which makes it easier for the elongated member 200 to enter the straightening path 33. In this example, as shown in FIG. 2 , when the movable member 32 moves relatively toward the base member 31, the elongated member 200 located between the movable member 32 and the base member 31 is pressed toward the base member 31 by the lower surface 32a of the movable member 32. At that time, the elongated member 200 pressed by the movable member 32 comes into contact with the guide portion 36, and is guided to enter the straightening path 33. Then, when the movable member 32 is further moved toward the base member 31, the elongated member 200 is further pushed into the straightening path 33 by the movable member 32, and moves toward the base surface 34, which is the bottom surface of the straightening path 33.
[0044] In this example, the straightening path 33 is defined by three straightening protrusions 35, but is not limited to this configuration. The straightening path 33 may be defined by, for example, a groove formed on the upper surface 31a of the base member 31. However, from the viewpoint of reducing the frictional force with the elongated member 200, it is preferable that the straightening path 33 be defined by a plurality of straightening protrusions 35, as in this example. Furthermore, the number of straightening protrusions 35 is not limited to three, as long as it is at least two or more.
[0045] The movable member 32 is attached to the base member 31 so as to be linearly movable. "Linearly movable" means that it can be moved in a straight line. As shown in FIG. 2 , the movable member 32 may be attached to the base member 31 so as to be linearly movable along a rail portion 31b provided on the base member 31. As shown in FIG. 2 , the packaging body 100 including the straightening unit 30 of this example can change its shape between a non-straightening shape (see the left diagram in FIG. 2 ) and a straightening shape (see the right diagram in FIG. 2 ) by linearly moving the movable member 32 relative to the base member 31. However, the change in shape of the packaging body 100 between the straightening shape and the non-straightening shape does not have to be achieved by linear movement of the movable member 32 relative to the base member 31. In other words, the change in shape of the packaging body 100 between the straightening shape and the non-straightening shape may be achieved by moving the movable member 32 relative to the base member 31 in a manner other than linear movement. This will be described in detail later (see FIGS. 9 and 10 ).
[0046] 2 and 3 , the base member 31 of this example includes a base plate portion 40 and two side plate portions 41 rising from opposing outer edges of the base plate portion 40. Furthermore, the upper surface 31a of the base member 31 of this example includes two outlet guide protrusions 37 in addition to the base surface 34 and three straightening protrusions 35 described above. The elongated member 200 that has passed through the straightening path 33 passes through the gap between the two outlet guide protrusions 37 and is sent out of the straightening unit 30.
[0047] As shown in FIGS. 2 and 4, the moving member 32 of this example includes a plate-shaped main body 42 and two side plate portions 43 rising from opposing outer edges of the main body 42.
[0048] As shown in Figures 2 and 5 to 7, the packaging body 100 including the correcting portion 30 is in the corrected state when the tip of the side plate portion 41 of the base member 31 abuts against the tip of the side plate portion 43 of the movable member 32, but this configuration is not limited to this. The base member 31 may be configured without the side plate portion 41, for example. The movable member 32 may also be configured without the side plate portion 43. In this way, the configuration of the base member 31 and the movable member 32 is not particularly limited as long as they can be changed between the non-corrected state (see the left diagram in Figure 2) and the corrected state (see the right diagram in Figure 2) by moving relative to each other.
[0049] As described above, the housing lumen 2a of the holder 2 extends circumferentially along a predetermined winding plane. When the elongated member 200 is housed in the circumferentially extending housing lumen 2a and viewed in a plan view (see FIG. 1 ) perpendicular to the winding plane, the elongated member 200 has a convex surface 201 on the outer side of the radial direction C of the housing lumen 2a and a concave surface 202 on the inner side of the radial direction C. The straightening unit 30 can straighten the elongated member 200 so that the convex surface 201 of the elongated member 200 becomes concave. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 3 , when the elongated member 200 is placed in the straightening path 33, the convex surface 201 of the elongated member 200 is pressed by the intermediate protrusion 35b so as to become concave. In this way, the straightening unit 30 can eliminate the bending tendency of the elongated member 200 by deforming the convex surface 201 of the elongated member 200 so as to become concave. Deforming the convex surface 201 of the elongated member 200 so that it becomes concave is synonymous with deforming the concave surface 202 of the elongated member 200 so that it becomes convex.
[0050] (Configuration Example 2 of Correction Unit 3) FIGS. 8 to 10 are diagrams illustrating a correction unit 50 as one configuration example of the correction unit 3. FIG. 8 is a side view of the correction unit 50. As shown in FIG. 8, the correction unit 50 includes a base member 51 and a movable member 52. FIG. 8 is a diagram illustrating the correction unit 50 as viewed in a direction perpendicular to the payout direction A1 of the elongated member 200 and perpendicular to a direction along a central axis O (described later) (the up-and-down direction in FIG. 8). The left view of FIG. 8 illustrates a state before the movable member 52 is attached to the base member 51, and the right view of FIG. 8 illustrates a state after the movable member 52 is attached to the base member 51. As shown in FIG. 8, the movable member 52 is configured to be attachable to an upper surface 51a of the base member 51. FIG. 9 illustrates the correction unit 50 in the package 100 in the non-correction mode, and FIG. 10 illustrates the correction unit 50 in the package 100 in the correction mode. 9 and 10 show the correction unit 50 as viewed from the upper surface 51a side of the base member 51. For ease of explanation, the position through which the elongated member 200 passes is indicated by a two-dot chain line in FIGS.
[0051] 9 and 10, the base member 51 is configured to be able to receive the elongated member 200. Specifically, the base member 51 of this example can receive the elongated member 200 on an upper surface 51a.
[0052] 9 and 10 , the movable member 52 is movable relative to the base member 51. The packaging body 100 including the correcting portion 50 can change its shape from a non-correcting shape (see FIG. 9 ) to a correcting shape (see FIG. 10 ) by moving the movable member 52 relative to the base member 51.
[0053] Specifically, as shown in FIGS. 8 to 10 , the moving member 52 is rotatably attached to the base member 51. The packaging body 100 including the correcting unit 50 can change its shape between a non-correcting shape (see FIG. 9 ) and a correcting shape (see FIG. 10 ) by rotating the moving member 52 relative to the base member 51. As shown in FIGS. 9 and 10 , the moving member 52 in this example can rotate relative to the base member 51 between a position in which the elongated member 200 is not sandwiched between the moving member 52 and the base member 51 (see FIG. 9 ) and a position in which the elongated member 200 is sandwiched between the moving member 52 and the base member 51 (see FIG. 10 ). In other words, the packaging body 100 including the correcting unit 50 can change its shape from the non-correcting shape (see FIG. 9 ) to the correcting shape (see FIG. 10 ) by sandwiching the elongated member 200 between the moving member 52 and the base member 51.
[0054] More specifically, the upper surface 51a of the base member 51 in this example includes a planar base surface 54 that receives the elongated member 200 and two straightening protrusions 55 protruding from the base surface 54. The two straightening protrusions 55 are an upstream protrusion 55a located upstream of the elongated member 200 in the payout direction A1, and a downstream protrusion 55b located downstream of the elongated member 200 in the payout direction A1. The upper surface 51a of the base member 51 also includes an accommodating recess 51b that can accommodate the moving member 52. The accommodating recess 51b can accommodate the moving member 52 so that the moving member 52 can rotate about the central axis O. The accommodating recess 51b in this example includes a shaft 51b1 protruding from the bottom surface of the accommodating recess 51b. The moving member 52 is accommodated in the accommodating recess 51b with the shaft 51b1 inserted therethrough. This allows the moving member 52 to rotate within the accommodating recess 51b around the shaft portion 51b1 as a central axis.
[0055] The upper surface 52a of the movable member 52 includes a planar base surface 56 that receives the elongated member 200 and a single straightening protrusion 57 that protrudes from the base surface 56. As shown in FIGS. 9 and 10 , the elongated member 200 is received so as to straddle the base surface 54 of the base member 51 and the base surface 56 of the movable member 52. The straightening protrusion 57 is located between the upstream protrusion 55a and the downstream protrusion 55b of the base member 51 in the payout direction A1 of the elongated member 200. As shown in FIGS. 9 and 10 , the elongated member 200 is disposed so as to pass through an upstream gap G3 and a downstream gap G4. The upstream gap G3 is the gap between the upstream protrusion 55a of the base member 51 and the straightening protrusion 57 of the movable member 52. The downstream gap G4 is a gap between the corrective protrusion 57 of the moving member 52 and the downstream protrusion 55b of the base member 51.
[0056] Here, in a top view (see FIG. 9 ) of the straightening portion 50 in the non-straightening form of the packaging body 100, the upstream protrusion 55a, the downstream protrusion 55b, and the straightening protrusion 57 are arranged so that the elongated member 200 passing through both the upstream gap G3 and the downstream gap G4 can extend linearly. In other words, in a top view (see FIG. 9 ) of the straightening portion 50 in the non-straightening form of the packaging body 100, the upstream protrusion 55a, the downstream protrusion 55b, and the straightening protrusion 57 are arranged so that an imaginary straight line L1 exists that passes through both the upstream gap G3 and the downstream gap G4. As shown in FIG. 9 , in the non-straightening form of the packaging body 100, the elongated member 200 can be arranged so that it passes through the upstream gap G3 and the downstream gap G4 linearly along the imaginary straight line L1.
[0057] In contrast, in a top view of the straightening portion 50 in the package 100 in the straightened form (see FIG. 10 ), the upstream protrusion 55 a, the downstream protrusion 55 b, and the straightening protrusion 57 are arranged so that the long member 200 passing through both the upstream gap G3 and the downstream gap G4 does not extend in a straight line. In other words, as shown in FIG. 10 , in the package 100 in the straightened form, the upstream protrusion 55 a, the downstream protrusion 55 b, and the straightening protrusion 57 are arranged so that the long member 200 arranged to pass through both the upstream gap G3 and the downstream gap G4 does not extend in a straight line but is forcibly bent and deformed at a position between the upstream gap G3 and the downstream gap G4. In this example, in a top view (see FIG. 10 ) of the straightening portion 50 in the package 100 in the straightened form, the upstream protrusion 55 a, the downstream protrusion 55 b, and the straightening protrusion 57 are arranged so that there is no imaginary straight line passing through both the upstream gap G3 and the downstream gap G4. In this example, such an arrangement prevents the elongated member 200 passing through both the upstream gap G3 and the downstream gap G4 from extending in a straight line.
[0058] The elongated member 200 shown in Fig. 10 is sandwiched between the upstream protrusions 55a and downstream protrusions 55b of the base member 51 and the straightening protrusions 57 of the moving member 52 in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction A. More specifically, the elongated member 200 shown in Fig. 10 is pressed by the upstream protrusions 55a and downstream protrusions 55b of the base member 51 in one direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction A (upward in Fig. 10 ). Furthermore, the elongated member 200 shown in Fig. 10 is pressed by the straightening protrusions 57 of the moving member 52 in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction A and in a direction opposite to the direction in which the upstream protrusions 55a and downstream protrusions 55b of the base member 51 press the elongated member 200 (downward in Fig. 3 ). The position at which the elongated member 200 is pressed by the corrective protrusion 57 is between the position at which the elongated member 200 is pressed by the upstream protrusion 55a and the position at which the elongated member 200 is pressed by the downstream protrusion 55b in the longitudinal direction A.
[0059] In this way, in the straightening unit 50 of this example, by rotating the movable member 52 relative to the base member 51, it is possible to switch between a state in which the elongated member 200 passes linearly through the upstream gap G3 and the downstream gap G4 (see FIG. 9 ) and a state in which the elongated member 200 is bent and deformed between the upstream gap G3 and the downstream gap G4 (see FIG. 10 ). In other words, the packaging body 100 including the straightening unit 50 of this example can change its shape between a non-straightening state (see FIG. 9 ) and a straightening state (see FIG. 10 ) by rotating the movable member 52 relative to the base member 51.
[0060] As described above, the housing lumen 2a of the holder 2 extends circumferentially along a predetermined winding plane. When the elongated member 200 is housed in the circumferentially extending housing lumen 2a and viewed in a plan view perpendicular to the winding plane (see FIG. 1 ), the elongated member 200 has a convex surface 201 on the outer side in the radial direction C of the housing lumen 2a and a concave surface 202 on the inner side in the radial direction C. The straightening unit 50 can straighten the elongated member 200 so that the convex surface 201 of the elongated member 200 becomes concave. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 10 , the convex surface 201 of the elongated member 200 is pressed into a concave shape by the straightening protrusion 57. In this way, the straightening unit 50 can eliminate the bending tendency of the elongated member 200 by deforming the convex surface 201 of the elongated member 200 into a concave shape.
[0061] As shown in FIGS. 8 to 10 , the base member 51 and the movable member 52 are provided with a rotation restriction mechanism that restricts rotation of the movable member 52 relative to the base member 51 as the elongated member 200 moves in the payout direction A1. As shown in FIG. 10 , in the package 100 in the straightened state, the bending tendency of the elongated member 200 can be eliminated by moving the elongated member 200 in the payout direction A1. At this time, the straightening protrusion 57 of the movable member 52 is in contact with the elongated member 200 moving in the payout direction A1, so torque around the shaft 51b1 is transmitted, causing the elongated member 200 to rotate around the shaft 51b1. The rotation restriction mechanism restricts rotation of the movable member 52 due to this torque. Specifically, in this example, a long groove 51c extending in an arc shape in the circumferential direction around the shaft 51b1 is formed on the bottom surface of the storage recess 51b of the base member 51. In addition, the movable member 52 in this example has a convex portion 52b accommodated in the long groove 51c of the base member 51. As shown in FIGS. 9 and 10 , when the movable member 52 rotates relative to the base member 51, the convex portion 52b of the movable member 52 can move along the long groove 51c of the base member 51. The convex portion 52b abuts against end walls 51c1 at both ends of the long groove 51c in the extension direction, thereby restricting the rotation of the movable member 52 relative to the base member 51. As shown in FIG. 10 , the movable member 52 attempts to rotate in one circumferential direction around the shaft portion 51b1 (counterclockwise in FIG. 10 ) due to the torque received from the elongated member 200. However, because the convex portion 52b abuts against one end wall 51c1 of the long groove 51c, the movable member 52 does not rotate. This prevents the package 100 from unintentionally changing its shape from the straightened configuration (see FIG. 10 ) to the unstraightened configuration (see FIG. 9 ). Furthermore, as the elongated member 200 moves in the unwinding direction A1, the moving member 52 continues to receive torque from the elongated member 200, and therefore the moving member 52 can continue to maintain the straightened state shown in Fig. 10. Therefore, the packaging body 100 can continue to stably maintain the straightened form while the elongated member 200 moves in the unwinding direction A1.
[0062] The rotation restriction mechanism in this example includes the long groove 51c of the base member 51 and the convex portion 52b of the moving member 52, but is not limited to this configuration. The rotation restriction mechanism may have another configuration as long as it can restrict the moving member 52 from rotating due to the torque received from the elongated member 200 moving in the payout direction A1.
[0063] (Configuration Example 3 of Correction Unit 3) FIGS. 11 to 14 are diagrams showing a correction unit 60 as one configuration example of the correction unit 3. FIG. 11 is a side view of the correction unit 60. As shown in FIG. 11, the correction unit 60 includes a base member 61 and a movable member 62. FIG. 11 is a view of the correction unit 60 as seen in a direction perpendicular to the payout direction A1 of the elongated member 200 and perpendicular to the relative movement direction of the base member 61 and the movable member 62 (the up-down direction in FIG. 11). FIG. 11 shows the correction unit 60 in a package 100 in a non-correction form. FIG. 12 is a plan view of the base member 61 as seen from the upper surface 61a side facing the movable member 62. FIG. 13 is a plan view of the movable member 62 as seen from the lower surface 62a side facing the base member 61. FIG. 14 is a cross-sectional view of the correction unit 60 in a package 100 in a correction form. More specifically, Fig. 14 shows a cross section of the correction unit 60 along the payout direction A1 of the elongated member 200 and the relative movement direction (the up-and-down direction in Fig. 11 ) of the base member 61 and the moving member 62. For ease of explanation, in Figs. 11 and 14 , the position of the elongated member 200 is indicated by a two-dot chain line.
[0064] 14 , the base member 61 is configured to be able to receive the elongated member 200. Specifically, the base member 61 of this example can receive the elongated member 200 on an upper surface 61 a that faces the moving member 62.
[0065] 11 , the movable member 62 is movable relative to the base member 61. The packaging body 100 including the correcting portion 60 can change its shape from the non-correcting shape (see FIG. 11 ) to the correcting shape (see FIG. 14 ) by moving the movable member 62 relative to the base member 61.
[0066] Specifically, as shown in FIGS. 11 and 14 , the movable member 62 is attached to the base member 61 so as to be linearly movable in a direction toward and away from the base member 61. As shown in FIG. 11 , the movable member 62 may be attached to the base member 61 so as to be linearly movable along a rail portion 61 b provided on the base member 61. In the package 100 including the straightening unit 60, the shape can be changed between a non-straightening shape (see FIG. 11 ) and a straightening shape (see FIG. 14 ) by linearly moving the movable member 62 relative to the base member 61. As shown in FIGS. 11 and 14 , the movable member 62 in this example is movable relative to the base member 61 between a position where the elongated member 200 is not sandwiched between the base member 61 and the movable member 62 (see FIG. 11 ) and a position where the elongated member 200 is sandwiched between the base member 61 and the movable member 62 (see FIG. 14 ). In other words, the packaging body 100 including the correction section 60 can change its shape from a non-correction form (see Figure 11) to a correction form (see Figure 14) by sandwiching the elongated member 200 between the movable member 62 and the base member 61.
[0067] 11, 12, and 14, the upper surface 61a of the base member 61 of this example is provided with a receiving groove 64 that receives the elongated member 200. The receiving groove 64 extends linearly along the payout direction A1 of the elongated member 200. The receiving groove 64 is provided with two straightening protrusions 65 that protrude from the bottom surface 64a. The two straightening protrusions 65 are an upstream protrusion 65a located upstream of the payout direction A1 of the elongated member 200, and a downstream protrusion 65b located downstream of the payout direction A1 of the elongated member 200.
[0068] 11, 13, and 14, the lower surface 62a of the moving member 62 is provided with a receiving groove 66 that receives the elongated member 200. The receiving groove 66 is provided with one correcting protrusion 67 that protrudes from the bottom surface 66a.
[0069] 14, in the correction form of the package 100, the receiving groove 66 of the movable member 62 is positioned opposite the receiving groove 64 of the base member 61. The tip ends of the two correction protrusions 65 of the base member 61 are fitted into the receiving groove 66 of the movable member 62. The tip end of one correction protrusion 67 of the movable member 62 is fitted into the receiving groove 64 of the base member 61. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 14, a passage is formed between the upper surface 61a of the base member 61 and the lower surface 62a of the movable member 62, along which the elongated member 200 extends in a serpentine manner.
[0070] 11 and 14, the elongated member 200 is disposed so as to pass through an upstream gap G5 and a downstream gap G6. The upstream gap G5 is a gap between the upstream protrusion 65a of the base member 61 and the straightening protrusion 67 of the moving member 62. The downstream gap G6 is a gap between the straightening protrusion 67 of the moving member 62 and the downstream protrusion 65b of the base member 61.
[0071] Here, in a cross-sectional view of the straightening portion 60 in the non-straightening form along the payout direction A1 (see the dashed line in FIG. 11 ), the upstream protrusion 65a, the downstream protrusion 65b, and the straightening protrusion 67 are arranged so that the elongated member 200 passing through both the upstream gap G5 and the downstream gap G6 can extend linearly. In other words, in a cross-sectional view of the straightening portion 60 in the non-straightening form along the payout direction A1 (see the dashed line in FIG. 11 ), the upstream protrusion 65a, the downstream protrusion 65b, and the straightening protrusion 67 are arranged so that an imaginary straight line L2 exists that passes through both the upstream gap G5 and the downstream gap G6. As shown in FIG. 11 , in the non-straightening form of the packaging body 100, the elongated member 200 can be arranged so that it passes through the upstream gap G5 and the downstream gap G6 linearly along the imaginary straight line L2.
[0072] In contrast, in a cross-sectional view of the straightening section 60 in the straightened form along the payout direction A1 (see FIG. 14 ), the upstream protrusion 65 a, the downstream protrusion 65 b, and the straightening protrusion 67 are arranged so that the long member 200 passing through both the upstream gap G5 and the downstream gap G6 does not extend in a straight line. In other words, as shown in FIG. 14 , in the straightened form of the packaging body 100, the upstream protrusion 65 a, the downstream protrusion 65 b, and the straightening protrusion 67 are arranged so that the long member 200 that is arranged to pass through the upstream gap G5 and the downstream gap G6 does not extend in a straight line but is forcibly bent and deformed at a position between the upstream gap G5 and the downstream gap G6. In this example, in a cross-sectional view (see FIG. 14 ) of the straightening portion 60 of the package 100 in the straightened form along the payout direction A1, the upstream protrusion 65 a, the downstream protrusion 65 b, and the straightening protrusion 67 are arranged so that there is no imaginary straight line passing through both the upstream gap G5 and the downstream gap G6. In this example, such an arrangement prevents the elongated member 200 passing through both the upstream gap G5 and the downstream gap G6 from extending in a straight line.
[0073] The elongated member 200 shown in Fig. 14 is sandwiched between the upstream protrusions 65a and downstream protrusions 65b of the base member 61 and the straightening protrusions 67 of the moving member 62 in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction A. More specifically, the elongated member 200 shown in Fig. 14 is pressed by the upstream protrusions 65a and downstream protrusions 65b of the base member 61 in one direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction A (upward in Fig. 14 ). Furthermore, the elongated member 200 shown in Fig. 14 is pressed by the straightening protrusions 67 of the moving member 62 in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction A and in a direction opposite to the direction in which the upstream protrusions 65a and downstream protrusions 65b of the base member 61 press the elongated member 200 (downward in Fig. 14 ). The position at which the elongated member 200 is pressed by the corrective protrusion 67 is between the position at which the elongated member 200 is pressed by the upstream protrusion 65a and the position at which the elongated member 200 is pressed by the downstream protrusion 65b in the longitudinal direction A.
[0074] In this way, in the straightening unit 60 of this example, by linearly moving the moving member 62 relative to the base member 61, it is possible to switch between a state in which the elongated member 200 passes linearly through the upstream gap G5 and the downstream gap G6 (see FIG. 11 ) and a state in which the elongated member 200 is bent and deformed between the upstream gap G5 and the downstream gap G6 (see FIG. 14 ). In other words, by linearly moving the moving member 62 relative to the base member 61, the packaging body 100 including the straightening unit 60 of this example can change its shape between a non-straightening shape (see FIG. 11 ) and a straightening shape (see FIG. 14 ).
[0075] As described above, the housing lumen 2a of the holder 2 extends circumferentially along a predetermined winding plane. When the elongated member 200 is housed in the circumferentially extending housing lumen 2a and viewed in a plan view perpendicular to the winding plane (see FIG. 1 ), the elongated member 200 has a convex surface 201 on the outer side of the radial direction C of the housing lumen 2a and a concave surface 202 on the inner side of the radial direction C. The straightening unit 60 can straighten the elongated member 200 so that the convex surface 201 of the elongated member 200 becomes concave. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 14 , the convex surface 201 of the elongated member 200 is pressed into a concave shape by the straightening protrusion 67. In this way, the straightening unit 60 can eliminate the bending tendency of the elongated member 200 by deforming the convex surface 201 of the elongated member 200 into a concave shape.
[0076] 11 and 12 , the upper surface 61 a of the base member 61 has a flat base surface 68 that abuts against the moving member 62 in the corrected state. The receiving groove 64 is formed to be recessed from the base surface 68. The upper surface 61 a of the base member 61 also has a positioning recess 69 recessed from the base surface 68 at a position different from the receiving groove 64.
[0077] 11 and 13, the lower surface 62a of the movable member 62 has a planar base surface 70 that abuts against the base surface 68 of the base member 61 in a corrected state. The receiving groove 66 is formed to be recessed from the base surface 70. The lower surface 62a of the movable member 62 also has a positioning protrusion 71 that protrudes from the base surface 70 at a position different from the receiving groove 66. The positioning protrusion 71 is configured to be able to fit into a positioning recess 69 on the upper surface 61a of the base member 61. The positioning protrusion 71 fits into the positioning recess 69, allowing the positional relationship between the base member 61 and the movable member 62 in the extension direction A1 to be determined.
[0078] (Configuration Example 4 of Correction Unit 3) FIG. 15 is a diagram showing a package 100 including a correction unit 80 as one configuration example of the correction unit 3. The correction unit 80 shown in FIG. 15 includes a correction unit main body 81, an attachment portion 82, and a grip portion 83. The correction unit main body 81 may have the same configuration as any of the correction units 30, 50, and 60 described above, for example. The attachment portion 82 is configured to be attachable to the holder 2. The attachment portion 82 shown in FIG. 15 includes a recess 82a into which a tubular body serving as the holder 2 is fitted. The attachment portion 82 is attached to the holder 2 by fitting a portion of the holder 2 into the recess 82a. The grip portion 83 is configured by a portion connecting the correction unit main body 81 and the attachment portion 82. The grip portion 83 may be, for example, a long rod-shaped portion with irregularities formed on its outer surface. The shape of the irregularities formed on the outer surface of the rod-shaped portion is not particularly limited as long as it is a shape that makes it easy for a user such as a surgeon to grip. By providing such a gripping portion 83, a user such as a surgeon can use one hand to pull out the elongated member 200 from the accommodating lumen 2 a while holding the gripping portion 83 with the other hand. Therefore, when performing the operation of pulling out the elongated member 200 from the accommodating lumen 2 a, it is possible to prevent the straightening portion 80 from unintentionally coming off the holder 2 or the holder 2 from being distorted, thereby improving the operability of the operation of pulling out the elongated member 200 from the accommodating lumen 2 a of the holder 2.
[0079] The correcting unit 80 shown in FIG. 15 includes two mounting portions 82 that can be mounted at different positions on the holder 2. As described above, the holder 2 of this embodiment is a tubular body extending circumferentially along the winding plane. The two mounting portions 82 are mounted on the holder 2 at different positions in the circumferential direction of the holder 2 (the same direction as the longitudinal direction B of the holder 2). The correcting unit 80 shown in FIG. 15 also includes two gripping portions 83. One gripping portion 83 connects one mounting portion 82 to the correcting unit main body 81. The other gripping portion 83 connects the other mounting portion 82 to the correcting unit main body 81. In this way, the correcting unit 80 includes multiple mounting portions 82 that are mounted on the holder 2 at different positions in the circumferential direction of the holder 2, thereby preventing the holder 2 from deforming in the out-of-plane direction of the winding plane relative to the correcting unit 80 when the elongated member 200 is unwound from the storage lumen 2a. Furthermore, since the correction unit 80 has two gripping portions 83, the user can selectively use one or both of the gripping portions 83 that are easier for the user to grip when pulling out the elongated member 200 from the storage lumen 2a of the holder 2.
[0080] 15 includes two mounting portions 82 and two gripping portions 83, but the number of mounting portions 82 and the number of gripping portions 83 are not particularly limited. The correction portion 80 may include, for example, three or more mounting portions 82 and three or more gripping portions 83. Furthermore, the shapes of the mounting portions 82 and the gripping portions 83 are not limited to the shapes shown in FIG. 15. The shapes of the mounting portions 82 and the gripping portions 83 may be designed as appropriate depending on, for example, the shape of the holder 2, etc.
[0081] 15, the correction unit 80 has a holding portion that holds the access opening 11 of the holder 2. Specifically, the gripping portion 83 has a holding groove 83a as a holding portion that can accommodate and clamp the portion of the tubular body serving as the holder 2 near the access opening 11.
[0082] (Configuration Example 5 of Correction Unit 3) Fig. 16 is a diagram showing a package 100 including a correction unit 90 as one configuration example of the correction unit 3. The correction unit 90 shown in Fig. 16 is used together with a holder 2 that is flexible.
[0083] As shown in Fig. 16 , the straightening section 90 includes an axial member 91 around which the holder 2 can be wound. In the package 100 shown in Fig. 16 , when the elongated member 200 is unwound from the storage lumen 2a of the holder 2, the holder 2 is wound around the axial member 91, thereby enabling the package 100 to change its shape from the non-straightened shape (see the left diagram in Fig. 16 ) to the straightened shape (see the right diagram in Fig. 16 ).
[0084] As shown in the left diagram of FIG. 16 , the storage lumen 2a of the holder 2 is a tubular body extending circumferentially along a predetermined winding plane. When the elongated member 200 is stored in the circumferentially extending storage lumen 2a and viewed in a plan view perpendicular to the winding plane (see the left diagram of FIG. 16 ), the elongated member 200 has a convex surface 201 on the outer side in the radial direction C of the storage lumen 2a and a concave surface 202 on the inner side in the radial direction C. The straightening unit 90 can straighten the elongated member 200 so that the convex surface 201 of the elongated member 200 becomes concave. Specifically, as shown in the right diagram of FIG. 16 , when the elongated member 200 is unwound from the storage lumen 2a, the tubular body serving as the holder 2 is wound around the shaft member 91. At this time, the convex surface 201 of the elongated member 200 is deformed into a concave shape as the tubular body serving as the holder 2 is wound along the circumferential surface of the shaft member 91. Therefore, with the straightening unit 90, the tubular body serving as the holder 2 is wound around the shaft member 91 so that the convex surface 201 of the elongated member 200 housed in the housing lumen 2a is deformed into a concave shape, thereby eliminating the tendency of the elongated member 200 to bend as it is unwound from the housing lumen 2a. The shaft member 91 shown in Fig. 16 is fixed to the holder 2, for example, by adhesive.
