The claimed solution relates to light industry, and more particularly to items of hand luggage, and can be used in bags, rucksacks, suitcases and other items of hand luggage. The technical result of the claimed solution is a more effective means of protecting the main elements of an item of hand luggage against wear or damage by covering said elements with a detachable element. This technical result is achieved in that the claimed item of hand luggage is designed to allow the fastening of detachable covers thereto, each of which is attached with the aid of fasteners on the outer surface of the item of hand luggage, wherein each detachable cover is of a size that corresponds to the dimensions of one section of the body of the item of hand luggage.

The fastening means in the known backpack bag are used to transform it from a bag into a backpack by disconnecting the parts (containers) from each other, to connect and disconnect the bottom of the bag from its walls, and to close the pocket flaps (RU 2030163, Cl. A45C 7 / 00, A45F 3 / 04, 10.03.1995).
