An apparatus for delivering a drug to a patient includes: a first syringe with a first proximal end, a first distal end, and a first interior volume; a separating member slidably engaged within the first interior volume, thereby dividing the first interior volume into a drug dispensing chamber and a driving fluid receiving chamber; a fluid driving device including a second proximal end, a second distal end, a second interior volume, and a driver; and a first fluid communication channel between the second distal end of the fluid driving device and the first proximal end of the first syringe.
