[0001] This invention generally relates to a field of protective headgear used in military, emergency services, and law enforcement. More specifically, it relates to an accessary mounting assembly for mounting various equipment’s to helmets.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

We Claim:

An accessory mounting assembly 100 for a helmet 102, the accessary mounting assembly 100 comprises: a helmet 102; a mounting band 104 for mounting a plurality of accessories around the helmet 102, wherein the mounting band 104 include: a first side rail 106 and a second side rail 108 on sides of the helmet 102, to provide fixture for mounting sides attachments; a shroud 110 on a front of the helmet 102, to provide fixture for mounting front attachments, and a mounting hook 112 for coupling the mounting band 104 to the helmet 102.

2. The accessory mounting assembly 100 as claimed in claim 1, wherein the helmet 102 is a military grade helmet.

3. The accessory mounting assembly 100 as claimed in claim 1, wherein the mounting band 104 is made from polymers, elastomers, metallic alloys, carbon or hybrid composite material.

4. The accessory mounting assembly 100 as claimed in claim 1, wherein the first side rail 106 and a second side rail 108 include a plurality of mounting grooves for mounting sides attachments.

5. The accessory mounting assembly 100 as claimed in claim 1, wherein the shroud 110 include a plurality of mounting grooves for mounting front attachments.

6. The accessory mounting assembly 100 as claimed in claim 1, wherein the mounting hook 112 is bent to hold the mounting band 104 to the helmet 102.

7. The accessory mounting assembly 100 as claimed in claim 1, wherein the mounting hook 112 is configured to allow positioning of the mounting band 104 to the helmet 102.

8. The accessory mounting assembly 100 as claimed in claim 1, wherein the mounting band 104 is made up of a light weight monolithic material.
