[0001] The present disclosure relates to an equipment determination device and an equipment determination method.
[0002] Conventionally, a method for determining whether an LSI (Large Scale Integration) is manufactured by a legitimate manufacturer has been disclosed (see, for example, Patent Document 1). This method operates an LSI under predetermined conditions during its manufacture, measures and stores the power consumption or the waveform of electromagnetic waves during the operation, and operates the LSI to be authenticated under the same predetermined conditions and compares the measured waveform with the stored waveform to determine the authenticity.

[0009] Hereinafter, embodiments according to the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. Embodiment 1. First, an apparatus determination system 1 according to embodiment 1 will be described with reference to Figs. 1 and 2. Fig. 1 is a block diagram showing a schematic configuration of the apparatus determination system 1 according to embodiment 1. The apparatus determination system 1 according to embodiment 1 is a system for determining whether a target apparatus KT to be determined is a specific apparatus that shares a hardware configuration with a plurality of electrical apparatuses, each of which includes a first apparatus K1, a second apparatus K2, ..., an Nth apparatus KN, and the plurality of electrical apparatuses share a hardware configuration.
[0010] For example, the device determination system 1 according to the first embodiment determines whether the determination target device KT shares a common hardware configuration with a plurality of devices, namely, a first device K1, a second device K2, ..., an Nth device KN, thereby determining whether the determination target device KT is an authentic device that shares a common hardware configuration with the first device K1, the second device K2, ..., the Nth device KN, or a counterfeit device that has a different hardware configuration from the first device K1, the second device K2, ..., the Nth device KN. In the first embodiment, the first device K1, the second device K2, ..., the Nth device KN share a common hardware configuration, and these first device K1, the second device K2, ..., the Nth device KN are also referred to as reference devices. In the first embodiment, N is a natural number greater than or equal to 2.
[0011] 1, the equipment determination system 1 includes an equipment determination device 100, an electromagnetic characteristic measuring device D10, and an output device D30, and these components are electrically connected by wired or wireless connection so as to be able to communicate with each other. Note that the components of the equipment determination system 1 may be connected to each other via other devices or communication networks (not shown).
[0012] The electromagnetic characteristic measuring device D10 includes, for example, a receiving unit and a measuring unit (not shown). The receiving unit receives signals indicating electromagnetic characteristics, which are electromagnetic properties, from each of the multiple reference devices and the evaluation target devices KT. For example, the receiving unit is configured with an electric field probe, a magnetic field probe, an antenna, or a TEM cell (Transverse Electro-Magnetic Cell), and receives electromagnetic noise as signals indicating electromagnetic characteristics from each of the multiple reference devices and the evaluation target devices KT. Specifically, the receiving unit has an electric field probe, a magnetic field probe, an antenna, or a TEM cell (Transverse Electro-Magnetic Cell), and receives radiated noise as electromagnetic noise from each of the multiple reference devices and the evaluation target devices KT.
[0013] Specifically, the receiving unit has a voltage probe, a current probe, or an AMN (Artificial Mains Network) for a power terminal used in an EMC test (Electromagnetic Compatibility Test) or an AAN (Asymmetric Artificial Network) for a signal terminal, and receives conducted noise as electromagnetic noise from each of the plurality of reference devices and the assessment target device KT. Note that the receiving unit may be configured to receive both radiated noise and conducted noise as signals indicating electromagnetic characteristics from each of the plurality of reference devices and the assessment target device KT, or may be configured to receive either radiated noise or conducted noise.
[0014] Based on the signals received by the receiving unit, the measuring unit outputs electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of each of the plurality of reference devices and the determination target device KT to the device determination device 100. For example, the measuring unit measures the signals received by the receiving unit for each of the plurality of reference devices and the determination target device KT in the frequency domain, and outputs information indicating the waveform of the measurement result as electromagnetic characteristic information.
[0015] Furthermore, for example, the electromagnetic characteristic measuring device D10 is configured by a network analyzer or a spectrum analyzer, and measures the reflection characteristics or impedance characteristics as electromagnetic characteristics in the frequency domain from each of multiple reference devices and the device to be evaluated KT, and outputs information indicating the waveform of the measurement results as electromagnetic characteristic information.
[0016] Furthermore, for example, the electromagnetic characteristic measuring device D10 is configured by a TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry) tester, measures the TDR characteristics as electromagnetic characteristics in the frequency domain from each of a plurality of reference devices and a device to be evaluated KT, and outputs information indicating the waveform of the measurement results as electromagnetic characteristic information.
[0017] The output device D30 outputs various information based on the information input from the equipment determination device 100. For example, the output device D30 is configured with a display device such as a liquid crystal display panel, an organic or inorganic electroluminescence (EL) panel, a dot matrix display, or an LED (light emitting diode), and outputs information as visual information. Note that the output device is not limited to one that outputs information as visual information, but may be a speaker that outputs information as audio information, or may be configured to output information in a form other than visual information or audio information. Furthermore, the output device D30 may be formed integrally with the electromagnetic characteristic measuring device D10.
[0018] The equipment determination device 100 includes an electromagnetic characteristic information acquisition unit 11, a reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation unit 21, a determination unit 31, and a storage unit 51. Note that the equipment determination device 100 is not limited to one in which each component is integrally formed, and one or more of the components may be formed independently of the other components, and these components may be electrically connected to each other so as to be able to communicate with each other.
[0019] The electromagnetic characteristic information acquisition unit 11 acquires electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of each of the multiple reference devices and the determination target device KT from the electromagnetic characteristic measurement device D10. For example, the electromagnetic characteristic information acquisition unit 11 acquires, from the electromagnetic characteristic measurement device D10, first electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the first device K1, second electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the second device K2, ..., Nth electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the Nth device KN, and determination target electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the determination target device KT.
[0020] The reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation unit 21 generates reference electromagnetic characteristic information indicating electromagnetic characteristics that serve as a reference when determining whether the evaluation target device KT is a device that shares a hardware configuration with multiple reference devices, based on the electromagnetic characteristic information acquired by the electromagnetic characteristic information acquisition unit 11. In other words, the reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation unit 21 generates reference electromagnetic characteristic information that serves as a reference when judging the evaluation target device KT, based on the first electromagnetic characteristic information, second electromagnetic characteristic information, ..., Nth electromagnetic characteristic information.
[0021] For example, the reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation unit 21 generates information indicating representative waveforms of multiple reference devices as reference electromagnetic characteristic information based on waveforms indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of each reference device included in each of the first electromagnetic characteristic information, the second electromagnetic characteristic information, ..., the Nth electromagnetic characteristic information. Specifically, the reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation unit 21 generates reference electromagnetic characteristic information indicating a lower limit waveform at which the evaluation target device KT and the reference device can be considered to have a common hardware configuration, and reference electromagnetic characteristic information indicating an upper limit waveform at which the evaluation target device KT and the reference device can be considered to have a common hardware configuration, based on waveforms indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of each reference device included in each of the first electromagnetic characteristic information, the second electromagnetic characteristic information, ..., the Nth electromagnetic characteristic information. In other words, based on a plurality of pieces of electromagnetic characteristic information acquired from a plurality of reference devices, the reference electromagnetic characteristic information generator 21 generates first reference electromagnetic characteristic information in which a feature quantity of the electromagnetic characteristics indicated by the reference electromagnetic characteristic information is a first feature quantity, and second reference electromagnetic characteristic information in which a feature quantity of the electromagnetic characteristics indicated by the reference electromagnetic characteristic information is a second feature quantity that is greater than the first feature quantity. Examples of the feature quantity of the electromagnetic characteristics include a voltage value, a current value, and decibels measured in the frequency domain.
[0022] For example, the reference electromagnetic characteristic information generating unit 21 generates reference electromagnetic characteristic information for a lower limit waveform by using the waveform with the smallest electromagnetic characteristic feature value among waveforms indicating electromagnetic characteristics acquired from multiple reference devices as the lower limit waveform, and generates reference electromagnetic characteristic information for an upper limit waveform by using the waveform with the largest electromagnetic characteristic feature value as the upper limit waveform. Furthermore, for example, the reference electromagnetic characteristic information generating unit 21 generates reference electromagnetic characteristic information for a lower limit waveform by using a waveform obtained by extracting and connecting values with the smallest electromagnetic characteristic feature value at each frequency based on waveforms indicating electromagnetic characteristics acquired from multiple reference devices, and generates reference electromagnetic characteristic information for an upper limit waveform by using a waveform obtained by extracting and connecting values with the largest electromagnetic characteristic feature value at each frequency as the upper limit waveform. Furthermore, for example, the reference electromagnetic characteristic information generating unit 21 calculates the variation between the reference devices at each frequency based on waveforms indicating electromagnetic characteristics acquired from multiple reference devices, and generates reference electromagnetic characteristic information for a lower limit waveform and reference electromagnetic characteristic information for an upper limit waveform based on the calculation results.
[0023] The determination unit 31 determines whether or not the hardware configuration of the determination target device KT is common to multiple reference devices based on the result of comparing the determination target electromagnetic characteristic information acquired by the electromagnetic characteristic information acquisition unit 11 with the reference electromagnetic characteristic information generated by the reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation unit 21. In other words, the determination unit 31 determines whether or not the hardware configuration of the determination target device KT is common to multiple reference devices based on the result of comparing the determination target electromagnetic characteristic information acquired by the electromagnetic characteristic information acquisition unit 11 with the reference electromagnetic characteristic information.
[0024] 2 is a graph showing an example of a waveform indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of multiple devices measured by the electromagnetic characteristic measurement device D10 according to the first embodiment. Specifically, the graph shows actual measured values of waveforms indicating the reflection characteristics of each device when five devices, designated A, B, C, D, and E, each having different hardware configurations but all being USB hubs, were measured by the electromagnetic characteristic measurement device D10, which is configured using a network analyzer. As shown in FIG. 2 , this measurement revealed that devices with a common hardware configuration have similar electromagnetic characteristics. The device determination device 100 according to the first embodiment utilizes this discovery. The reference electromagnetic characteristic information generator 21 generates reference electromagnetic characteristic information indicating electromagnetic characteristics that serve as a basis for determination based on the electromagnetic characteristics of multiple reference devices, which are multiple devices with a common hardware configuration. The determination unit 31 can determine whether the determination target device KT has a common hardware configuration with the reference device by comparing the reference electromagnetic characteristic information with determination target electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the determination target device KT.
[0025] For example, the determination unit 31 compares a waveform indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the determination target device KT indicated by the determination target electromagnetic characteristic information with the lower limit waveform and the upper limit waveform of the reference device indicated by the reference electromagnetic characteristic information, and determines that the determination target device is a device that shares a hardware configuration with the reference device if the waveform indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the determination target device KT is between the lower limit waveform and the upper limit waveform of the reference device. Specifically, the determination unit 31 compares a waveform indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the determination target device KT indicated by the determination target electromagnetic characteristic information with the lower limit waveform and the upper limit waveform of the reference device indicated by the reference electromagnetic characteristic information, and determines that the determination target device is a device that shares a hardware configuration with the reference device if, in the frequency range to be determined, the feature quantity of the waveform indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the determination target device KT is equal to or greater than the feature quantity of the lower limit waveform and less than the feature quantity of the upper limit waveform of the reference device. In other words, the judgment unit 31 judges that the hardware configuration of the equipment to be judged KT is common to multiple reference equipment when the characteristic amount of the electromagnetic characteristics of the equipment to be judged KT indicated by the electromagnetic characteristics information to be judged is greater than or equal to the characteristic amount of the electromagnetic characteristics indicated by the first reference electromagnetic characteristics information and less than or equal to the characteristic amount of the electromagnetic characteristics indicated by the second reference electromagnetic characteristics information.
[0026] The storage unit 51 stores information indicating the results of processing performed by the equipment determination device 100, information used in processing performed by the equipment determination device 100, information acquired by the equipment determination device 100 from the electromagnetic characteristic measuring device D10, the output device D30, and other devices. Each component of the equipment determination device 100 references the information stored in the storage unit 51 as necessary and acquires information from the storage unit 51.
[0027] Next, the hardware configuration of the device determination device 100 will be described with reference to Figures 3 and 4. Figure 3 is a diagram showing an example of the hardware configuration of the device determination device 100, and Figure 4 is a diagram showing an example of the hardware configuration of the device determination device 100 that is different from that shown in Figure 3. For example, as shown in Figure 3, the device determination device 100 is a computer having a processor 100a, a memory 100b, and an I / O port 100c, and is configured so that the processor 100a reads and executes a program stored in the memory 100b.
[0028] 4, the equipment determination device 100 is a computer that has a processing circuit 100d, which is dedicated hardware, and an I / O port 100c, and executes a program. The processing circuit 100d is configured, for example, by a single circuit, a composite circuit, a programmed processor, a parallel programmed processor, an ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit), an FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array), or a combination thereof. Each function of the equipment determination device 100 is realized by the processor 100a or the processing circuit 100d, which is dedicated hardware, executing a program. Note that the equipment determination device 100 may have hardware other than that described above.
[0029] Next, with reference to FIG. 1 and FIG. 5 to FIG. 8 , details of the processing performed by the equipment determination device 100 according to the first embodiment will be described. FIG. 5 is a flowchart showing an example of reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation processing performed by the equipment determination device 100 according to the first embodiment. The reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation processing performed by the equipment determination device 100 according to the first embodiment is processing for generating reference electromagnetic characteristic information based on the electromagnetic characteristics of multiple reference equipment. For example, the equipment determination device 100 performs the reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation processing after a final inspection before shipment in a factory that produces multiple reference equipment. This makes it possible to generate reference electromagnetic characteristic information indicating electromagnetic characteristics that serve as a reference for determining whether the determination target equipment KT is a genuine product produced in the same production process as the reference equipment, based on multiple reference equipment that are genuine products produced in the factory.
[0030] 5 , when the device determination device 100 starts the reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation process, it first acquires first to Nth electromagnetic characteristic information from the first device K1 to the Nth device KN (step ST01). In this process, the device determination device 100 acquires information indicating the results of measuring the electromagnetic characteristics of the multiple reference devices by the electromagnetic characteristic measurement device D10, from the electromagnetic characteristic measurement device D10, thereby acquiring multiple pieces of electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of each of the multiple reference devices.
[0031] After performing the process of step ST01, the equipment determination device 100 generates reference electromagnetic characteristic information (step ST03). In this process, the equipment determination device 100 generates reference electromagnetic characteristic information indicating reference electromagnetic characteristics based on the plurality of pieces of electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of each of the plurality of reference equipments acquired in the process of step ST01.
[0032] After performing the processing of step ST03, the equipment determination device 100 stores the reference electromagnetic characteristic information generated in the processing of step ST03 in the storage unit 51 (step ST04). In this processing, the equipment determination device 100 stores the generated reference electromagnetic characteristic information in the storage unit 51 so that the reference electromagnetic characteristic information generated in the processing of step ST03 can be referenced when determining whether the determination target equipment has a common hardware configuration with the reference target equipment.
[0033] 6 is a flowchart showing an example of device determination processing performed by the device determination device 100 according to the first embodiment. The device determination processing performed by the device determination device 100 is processing for determining whether or not a device to be determined KT has a hardware configuration in common with a reference device, in a state in which reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation processing has been performed in advance and reference electromagnetic characteristic information has been stored in the storage unit 51. For example, the device determination device 100 performs the device determination processing to determine whether or not a device to be determined KT returned from the market to a factory has a hardware configuration in common with a genuine product. As a result, in a state in which reference electromagnetic characteristic information has been stored in advance in the storage unit 51, it is possible to determine whether or not a device to be determined KT whose hardware configuration is unknown is a genuine product.
[0034] 6, when the device determination device 100 starts the device determination process, it first acquires electromagnetic characteristic information of the determination target device KT (step ST11). In this process, the device determination device 100 acquires, from the electromagnetic characteristic measurement device D10, information indicating the results of measuring the electromagnetic characteristics of the determination target device KT by the electromagnetic characteristic measurement device D10, thereby acquiring the electromagnetic characteristic information of the determination target device KT.
[0035] After performing the processing of step ST11, the equipment determination device 100 compares the electromagnetic characteristic information of the determination target equipment with the reference electromagnetic characteristic information (step ST15). In this processing, the equipment determination device 100 refers to the information stored in the storage unit 51, and compares the determination target electromagnetic characteristic information acquired in the processing of step ST11 with the reference electromagnetic characteristic information previously stored in the storage unit 51. In other words, in this processing, the equipment determination device 100 compares the determination target electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the determination target equipment KT with the reference electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the reference equipment.
[0036] After performing the process of step ST15, the device determination device 100 determines the hardware configuration of the device to be determined based on the comparison result (step ST16). In this process, the device determination device 100 determines whether the comparison result in the process of step ST15 is a result that indicates that the hardware configuration of the device to be determined KT is common to the hardware configuration of the reference device.
[0037] 7A is a graph of an example of a waveform showing the electromagnetic characteristics of the device to be determined KT when the device determination device 100 according to embodiment 1 determines that the hardware configuration of the device to be determined KT and the reference device is common, and FIG. 7B is a graph of an example of a waveform showing the electromagnetic characteristics of the device to be determined KT when the device determination device 100 according to embodiment 1 determines that the hardware configuration of the device to be determined KT and the reference device is not common.
[0038] 7A, the horizontal axis represents frequency and the vertical axis represents feature quantities, the equipment determination device 100 determines that the hardware configuration of the evaluation target equipment KT and the reference equipment is common if the waveform LT1 indicated by the evaluation target electromagnetic characteristic information is equal to or greater than the lower limit waveform L1 and equal to or less than the upper limit waveform L2 indicated by the reference electromagnetic characteristic information in the frequency range to be evaluated. Also, as shown in FIG. 7B, the horizontal axis represents frequency and the vertical axis represents feature quantities, the equipment determination device 100 determines that the hardware configuration of the evaluation target equipment KT and the reference equipment is not common if the waveform LT2 indicated by the evaluation target electromagnetic characteristic information is not equal to or greater than the lower limit waveform L1 and equal to or less than the upper limit waveform L2 indicated by the reference electromagnetic characteristic information in any frequency in the frequency range to be evaluated.
[0039] After performing the process of step ST16, the equipment determination device 100 outputs the determination result (step ST17). For example, in this process, the equipment determination device 100 outputs information indicating whether the hardware configuration of the determination target equipment KT is common to the hardware configuration of the reference equipment to the output device D30. Also, for example, in this process, the equipment determination device 100 outputs information indicating whether the determination target equipment is a genuine product produced in the same production process as the reference equipment, based on whether the hardware configuration of the determination target equipment is common to the hardware configuration of the reference equipment, to the output device D30.
[0040] As described above, the equipment determination device 100 according to the first embodiment includes an electromagnetic characteristic information acquisition unit 11 that acquires first electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the first equipment K1, second electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the second equipment K2 that shares a hardware configuration with the first equipment K1, and electromagnetic characteristic information to be determined that indicates the electromagnetic characteristics of the equipment to be determined KT; a reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation unit 21 that generates reference electromagnetic characteristic information that indicates reference electromagnetic characteristics based on the first electromagnetic characteristic information and the second electromagnetic characteristic information; and a determination unit 31 that determines whether the hardware configuration of the equipment to be determined KT is common to the first equipment K1 and the second equipment K2 based on a result of comparing the electromagnetic characteristic information to be determined acquired by the electromagnetic characteristic information acquisition unit 11 with the reference electromagnetic characteristic information generated by the reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation unit 21.
[0041] With this configuration, when the device determination device 100 compares the electromagnetic characteristics of the device to be determined KT with those of multiple reference devices to determine whether the device to be determined KT is a specific device whose hardware configuration is common to the reference devices, it is not necessary to store information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of all of the reference devices, and the amount of data required to determine whether the device to be determined KT is a specific device can be reduced. Furthermore, it is not necessary to compare the electromagnetic characteristics of the device to be determined KT with those of all of the reference devices, and this reduces the processing load on the device when determining whether the device to be determined KT is a specific device compared to conventional devices. Furthermore, it is possible to determine whether the device to be determined KT is a specific device whose hardware configuration is common to the reference devices without disassembling the device to be determined KT.
[0042] Furthermore, the device determination device 100 according to the first embodiment is configured to acquire a plurality of pieces of electromagnetic characteristic information including first electromagnetic characteristic information and second electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of each of a plurality of reference devices that include a first device K1 and a second device K2 and have a common hardware configuration with each other, generate, based on the plurality of pieces of electromagnetic characteristic information, first reference electromagnetic characteristic information in which a feature quantity of the electromagnetic characteristics indicated by the reference electromagnetic characteristic information is a first feature quantity, and second reference electromagnetic characteristic information in which the feature quantity of the electromagnetic characteristics indicated by the reference electromagnetic characteristic information is a second feature quantity that is larger than the first feature quantity, and determine that the hardware configuration of the device to be determined is common to the plurality of devices when the feature quantity of the electromagnetic characteristics of the device to be determined indicated by the electromagnetic characteristic information to be determined is equal to or larger than the feature quantity of the electromagnetic characteristics indicated by the first reference electromagnetic characteristic information and smaller than the feature quantity of the electromagnetic characteristics indicated by the second reference electromagnetic characteristic information.
[0043] With this configuration, the equipment determination device 100 only needs to store first reference electromagnetic characteristic information and second reference electromagnetic characteristic information as reference electromagnetic characteristic information used to determine whether the hardware configuration of the equipment to be determined KT is a specific equipment that has something in common with the reference equipment, based on electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of each of three or more reference equipment, and there is no need to store electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of each of three or more reference equipment, so the amount of data required to determine whether the equipment to be determined KT is a specific equipment can be reduced.
[0044] In the first embodiment, the equipment determination device 100 is configured to determine whether the hardware configuration of the evaluation target equipment KT is common to that of the reference equipment, but is not limited to determining whether the hardware configuration of the evaluation target equipment KT completely matches that of the reference equipment. The equipment determination device may be configured to generate reference electromagnetic characteristic information and perform a determination based on the reference electromagnetic characteristic information so as to determine whether the hardware configuration of the evaluation target equipment KT is common to that of the reference equipment to an extent that the evaluation target equipment KT can be considered to be substantially the same product. For example, the equipment determination device may be configured to determine that identical products from different production lots have a common hardware configuration, or may be configured to determine that identical products from different production lots do not have a common hardware configuration.
[0045] Furthermore, the device determination device is not limited to a device that always outputs a determination result that the hardware configuration of the determination target device KT is common to the reference device when the hardware configuration of the determination target device KT is substantially common to the reference device. For example, the device determination device may determine whether the hardware configuration of multiple determination target devices is common to the reference device, and then output a determination result that some of the determination target devices that have substantially common hardware configurations with the reference device do not have common hardware configurations with the reference device. Even such a device determination device can extract, from among the multiple determination target devices, determination target devices that may not have common hardware configurations with the reference device.
[0046] Furthermore, in the first embodiment, the equipment determination device 100 is configured to determine whether the hardware configuration of the evaluation target equipment KT is common to the reference equipment by comparing the evaluation target electromagnetic characteristic information with first reference electromagnetic characteristic information related to a lower limit waveform indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the reference equipment and second reference electromagnetic characteristic information related to an upper limit waveform indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the reference equipment, but is not limited to this. The equipment determination device may be configured to determine whether the hardware configuration of the evaluation target equipment KT is common to the reference equipment by comparing the evaluation target electromagnetic characteristic information with reference electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the reference equipment. For example, the equipment determination device may be configured to generate reference electromagnetic characteristic information including representative waveforms indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of multiple reference equipment and a threshold value for determining whether the hardware configuration of the evaluation target equipment KT is common to the reference equipment, and to determine whether the hardware configuration of the evaluation target equipment KT is common to the reference equipment by comparing the representative waveform indicated by the reference electromagnetic characteristic information with the waveform indicated by the evaluation target electromagnetic characteristic information.
[0047] Figure 8A is a graph showing the electromagnetic characteristics of the device to be determined KT when the device to be determined KT and the reference device are determined to have a common hardware configuration by the device determination device related to a modified example of embodiment 1, and Figure 8B is a graph showing the electromagnetic characteristics of the target device when the device to be determined KT and the reference device are determined to have an uncommon hardware configuration by the device determination device related to a modified example of embodiment 1.
[0048] 8A , the device determination device may be configured to generate, by a reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation unit, reference electromagnetic characteristic information including an average waveform L0 indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of a plurality of reference devices, with the horizontal axis representing frequency and the vertical axis representing feature quantities, and a threshold value for determining whether the hardware configuration of the device to be determined KT is common to that of the reference device, and to determine, by a determination unit, that the hardware configuration of the device to be determined KT and the reference device is common when the absolute value of the difference a1 between the waveform LT3 indicated by the electromagnetic characteristic information to be determined and the average waveform L0 is equal to or less than the threshold value at any frequency in the frequency range to be determined ((threshold value)>=|a1|). In other words, the device determination device may be configured to determine that the hardware configuration of the device to be determined KT is common to the first device and the second device when the absolute value of the difference between the feature quantity of the electromagnetic characteristic of the device to be determined KT indicated by the electromagnetic characteristic information to be determined and the feature quantity of the electromagnetic characteristic indicated by the reference electromagnetic characteristic information is equal to or less than a preset threshold value.
[0049] Also, for example, as shown in Figure 8B, the equipment determination device may be configured to generate reference electromagnetic characteristic information using a reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation unit, where the horizontal axis is frequency and the vertical axis is feature, and the reference electromagnetic characteristic information includes an average waveform L0 indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of multiple reference equipment and a threshold value for determining whether the hardware configuration of the equipment KT to be determined is common to that of the reference equipment, and if the absolute value of the difference a2 between the waveform LT4 indicated by the electromagnetic characteristic information to be determined and the average waveform L0 at any frequency in the frequency range to be determined is not less than the threshold value, the determination unit may determine that the hardware configuration of the equipment KT to be determined and the reference equipment are not common ((threshold value) < |a2|).
[0050] For example, such a threshold value can be set based on the lower and upper limit waveforms of waveforms indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of multiple reference devices. Furthermore, for example, such a threshold value can be set based on the variation of the waveforms indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of multiple reference devices. Specifically, the threshold value is set as an integer multiple of the standard deviation of the waveforms indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of multiple reference devices, for example, a value four times the standard deviation of the feature value at a specific frequency ((threshold value) = (standard deviation) σ × 4). Note that such a threshold value may be set as a common value within the frequency range to be evaluated, or may be set as a different value for each frequency to be evaluated.
[0051] Furthermore, the equipment determination device may be configured to determine whether the hardware configuration of the equipment to be determined is common to the first and second equipment based on a result of comparing the electromagnetic characteristic information to be determined with the reference electromagnetic characteristic information at a specific frequency, or may be configured to extract information about a specific range of frequencies from the electromagnetic characteristic information to be determined and the reference electromagnetic characteristic information, and determine whether the hardware configuration of the equipment to be determined is common to the first and second equipment based on a result of comparing the extracted information. With this configuration, the equipment determination device can compare the electromagnetic characteristic information to be determined with the reference electromagnetic characteristic information at a frequency or frequency range where the characteristics of the reference equipment appear more strongly than at other frequencies, for example, a frequency range where a peak appears in a waveform indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the reference equipment, or a frequency range where the waveform indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the reference equipment has small variation. This makes it possible to reduce the amount of data required for determination, reduce the processing load on the device when performing the determination, and improve the determination accuracy compared to conventional methods.
[0052] 9 to 11, a device determination system 2 according to a second embodiment will be described. The device determination system 2 according to the second embodiment differs from the device determination system 1 according to the first embodiment in that it includes a part of the configuration of the device determination device and an input device for inputting information to the device determination device, but the other configurations are the same. The same names and symbols as those in the first embodiment are used for the same configurations as those in the first embodiment, and descriptions thereof will be omitted.
[0053] 9 is a block diagram showing a schematic configuration of an equipment determination system 2 according to embodiment 2. As shown in FIG. 9, the equipment determination system 2 includes an equipment determination device 200, an electromagnetic characteristic measuring device D10, an input device D20, and an output device D30, and these components are electrically connected by wired or wireless connection so as to be able to communicate with each other. Note that in the equipment determination system 2, each component may be connected to each other via another device or communication network (not shown).
[0054] The input device D20 inputs various information to the equipment determination device 200. For example, the input device D20 is an identification information management device configured by a computer that manages identification information assigned to each reference device for identifying the hardware configuration of the multiple reference devices, and inputs the identification information of each of the multiple reference devices, for example, identification information indicating an individual identification number, to the equipment determination device 200. Also, for example, the input device D20 is configured by a reading device that reads the identification information assigned to each reference device in a factory that produces multiple reference devices. For example, the input device D20 reads the individual identification number of each reference device and inputs the identification information indicating the individual identification number to the equipment determination device 200. Also, for example, the input device D20 is configured by a keyboard, mouse, touch panel, or other input device that accepts an input operation by an operator and inputs information corresponding to the input operation to the equipment determination device 200. Note that the input device D20 may be formed integrally with either or both of the electromagnetic characteristic measuring device D10 and the output device D30.
[0055] The equipment determination device 200 includes an electromagnetic characteristic information acquisition unit 11, a reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation unit 21, a determination unit 32, an identification information acquisition unit 42, and a storage unit 51. Note that the equipment determination device 200 is not limited to one in which each component is integrally formed, and one or more of the components may be formed independently of the other components, and these components may be electrically connected to each other so as to be able to communicate with each other.
[0056] The identification information acquisition unit 42 acquires identification information for identifying the hardware configurations of the multiple reference devices and the assessment target device KT. In other words, the identification information acquisition unit 42 acquires identification information for identifying the hardware configurations of the first device, the second device, and the assessment target device. For example, the identification information acquisition unit 42 acquires information indicating individual identification numbers from the input device D20 as identification information for identifying the hardware configurations of the multiple reference devices and the assessment target device. Note that the identification information acquired by the identification information acquisition unit 42 for identifying the hardware configurations of the multiple reference devices and the assessment target device is not limited to information indicating individual identification numbers, and may be, for example, information indicating a product number for identifying a product, information indicating a production lot of a product, or information indicating a control number of a part used in the reference device. The identification information acquisition unit 42 stores the acquired identification information in the storage unit 51.
[0057] The determination unit 32 determines whether the hardware configuration of the determination target device KT is common to multiple reference devices based on the identification information acquired by the identification information acquisition unit 42 and the result of comparing the determination target electromagnetic characteristic information with the reference electromagnetic characteristic information. For example, the determination unit 32 compares the determination target electromagnetic characteristic information with the reference electromagnetic characteristic information when the identification information of the determination target device KT acquired by the identification information acquisition unit 42 is identification information indicating that the hardware configuration is common to the reference device related to the reference electromagnetic characteristic information stored in the storage unit 51. Specifically, the determination unit 32 compares the determination target electromagnetic characteristic information with the reference electromagnetic characteristic information when the identification information of the determination target device KT acquired by the identification information acquisition unit 42 matches identification information common to the reference device related to the reference electromagnetic characteristic information stored in the storage unit 51. Specifically, when the identification information of the device KT to be judged acquired by the identification information acquisition unit 42 matches any of the identification information of multiple reference devices related to the reference electromagnetic characteristic information stored in the memory unit 51, the judgment unit 32 compares the electromagnetic characteristic information to be judged with the reference electromagnetic characteristic information associated with the corresponding identification information.
[0058] The hardware configuration of the device determining device 200 according to the second embodiment is similar to the hardware configuration of the device determining device 100 according to the first embodiment, and therefore a description thereof will be omitted.
[0059] Next, details of the processing performed by the equipment determination device 200 according to the second embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 9 to Fig. 11. Note that part of the processing performed by the equipment determination device 200 according to the second embodiment is similar to the processing performed by the equipment determination device 100 according to the first embodiment, and therefore, the same processing as in the first embodiment will be assigned the same reference numerals as in the first embodiment and will not be described again. Fig. 10 is a flowchart showing an example of reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation processing performed by the equipment determination device 200 according to the second embodiment.
[0060] 10 , when the device determination device 200 starts the reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation process, it first acquires the first electromagnetic characteristic information to the Nth electromagnetic characteristic information from the first device K1 to the Nth device KN (step ST01). After performing the process of step ST01, the device determination device 200 acquires reference identification information (step ST02). In this process, the device determination device 200 acquires the reference identification information, which is identification information for identifying the hardware configurations of multiple reference devices, from, for example, the input device D20.
[0061] After performing the processing of step ST01, the equipment determination device 200 generates reference electromagnetic characteristic information (step ST03). After performing the processing of step ST03, the equipment determination device 200 stores the reference electromagnetic characteristic information generated in the processing of step ST03 and the reference identification information acquired in the processing of step ST02 in the storage unit 51 (step ST05). In this processing, the equipment determination device 200 associates the reference electromagnetic characteristic information and the reference identification information with each other and stores them in the storage unit 51 so that one of the reference electromagnetic characteristic information and the reference identification information can be referenced from the other. After performing the processing of step ST05, the equipment determination device 200 ends the reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation processing.
[0062] 11 is a flowchart showing an example of device determination processing performed by the device determination device 200 according to the second embodiment. As shown in FIG. 11, when the device determination device 200 starts the device determination processing, it first acquires electromagnetic characteristic information of the device to be determined KT (step ST11). After performing the processing of step ST11, the device determination device 200 acquires identification information of the device to be determined KT (step ST12). In this processing, the device determination device 200 acquires, for example, from the input device D20, determination target identification information, which is identification information for identifying the hardware configuration of the device to be determined.
[0063] After performing the process of step ST12, the device determination device 200 acquires reference identification information (step ST13). In this process, the device determination device 200 refers to the information stored in the storage unit 51 and acquires all reference identification information, which is identification information of the reference device for determining whether the hardware configuration of the device to be determined KT is common to that of the device to be determined KT, from the storage unit 51.
[0064] After performing the process of step ST13, the device determination device 200 determines whether the identification information of the device to be determined KT matches the reference identification information (step ST14). In this process, the device determination device 200 determines whether the hardware configuration of the device to be determined KT is common to that of the reference device based on the identification information.
[0065] If the identification information of the device to be determined matches any of the reference identification information in the process of step ST14 (YES in step ST14), the device determination device 200 compares the electromagnetic characteristic information of the device to be determined KT with the reference electromagnetic characteristic information associated with the matching reference identification information (step ST15). After performing the process of step ST15, the device determination device 200 determines the hardware configuration of the device to be determined based on the comparison result (step ST16). After performing the process of step ST16, the device determination device 200 outputs the determination result (step ST17).
[0066] The equipment determination device 200 terminates the equipment determination process when it has performed the processing of step ST17, or when it has determined in the processing of step ST14 that the identification information of the equipment to be determined does not match any of the reference identification information (NO in step ST14).
[0067] As described above, the device determination device 200 according to the second embodiment includes an identification information acquisition unit 42 that acquires identification information for identifying the hardware configurations of the first device K1, the second device K2, and the device to be determined KT, and is configured to determine whether the hardware configuration of the device to be determined KT is common to the first device K1 and the second device K2 based on the identification information acquired by the identification information acquisition unit 42 and the result of comparing the electromagnetic characteristic information of the device to be determined and the reference electromagnetic characteristic information. With this configuration, the device determination device 200 can reduce the processing load on the device when making a determination by determining whether the hardware configuration of the device to be determined KT is common to the reference device by comparing the electromagnetic characteristics only when it is determined that the hardware configuration of the device to be determined KT is common to the reference device based on the identification information.
[0068] Third Embodiment Next, a device determination system 3 according to a third embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 12 to Fig. 14. The device determination system 3 according to the third embodiment differs from the device determination system 2 according to the second embodiment in that the device determination device has a partially different configuration, but the other configurations are the same. The same components as those in the second embodiment are denoted by the same names and symbols as those in the second embodiment, and description thereof will be omitted.
[0069] Fig. 12 is a block diagram showing a schematic configuration of an equipment determination system 3 according to embodiment 3. As shown in Fig. 12, the equipment determination system 3 includes an equipment determination device 300, an electromagnetic characteristic measuring device D10, an input device D20, and an output device D30, and these components are electrically connected by wired or wireless connection so as to be able to communicate with each other. Note that in the equipment determination system 3, each component may be connected to each other via another device or communication network (not shown).
[0070] The equipment determination device 300 includes an electromagnetic characteristic information acquisition unit 11, a reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation unit 23, a determination unit 33, an identification information acquisition unit 43, and a storage unit 51. Note that the equipment determination device 300 is not limited to one in which each component is integrally formed, and one or more of the components may be formed independently of the other components, and these components may be electrically connected to each other so as to be able to communicate with each other.
[0071] The electromagnetic characteristic information acquisition unit 11 acquires electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of each of the multiple reference devices and the determination target device KT from the electromagnetic characteristic measurement device D10. For example, the electromagnetic characteristic information acquisition unit 11 acquires, from the electromagnetic characteristic measurement device D10, 1-1 electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the 1-1 device K11, 1-2 electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the 1-2 device K12, ..., 1-N electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the 1-N device K1N, 2-1 electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the 2-1 device K21, 2-2 electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the 2-2 device K22, ..., 2-N electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the 2-N device K2N, and determination target electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the determination target device KT. Note that in the third embodiment, the 2-1 electromagnetic characteristic information constitutes third electromagnetic characteristic information, and the 2-2 electromagnetic characteristic information constitutes fourth electromagnetic characteristic information.
[0072] The identification information acquisition unit 43 acquires identification information for identifying the hardware configurations of the multiple reference devices and the determination target device KT. For example, the identification information acquisition unit 43 acquires first reference identification information for identifying the hardware configurations of the 1-1 device K11, the 1-2 device K12, ..., the 1-N device K1N, which have a common hardware configuration, second reference identification information for identifying the hardware configurations of the 2-1 device K21, the 2-2 device K22, ..., the 2-N device K2N, which have a common hardware configuration, and determination target identification information for identifying the hardware configuration of the determination target device. Note that in the third embodiment, the 1-1 device K11, the 1-2 device K12, ..., the 1-N device K1N are collectively referred to as the first multiple devices, and the 2-1 device K21, the 2-2 device K22, ..., the 2-N device K2N are collectively referred to as the second multiple devices.
[0073] For example, the 1-1 device K11 to the 1-Nth device K1N and the 2-1 device K21 to the 2-Nth device K2N are devices with different hardware configurations. Also, for example, the 1-1 device K11 to the 1-Nth device K1N and the 2-1 device K21 to the 2-Nth device K2N are devices with different production lots. Also, for example, the 1-1 device K11 to the 1-Nth device K1N and the 2-1 device K21 to the 2-Nth device K2N are devices on different production lines. Also, for example, the 1-1 device K11 to the 1-Nth device K1N and the 2-1 device K21 to the 2-Nth device K2N are devices with different production periods. The first-1 device K11 to the first-Nth device K1N and the second-1 device K21 to the second-Nth device K2N may be devices that may have different hardware configurations, and may be devices that are artificially distinguished from one another, or may be devices that essentially have the same hardware configuration. The identification information acquisition unit 43 stores the acquired first reference identification information, second reference identification information, and determination target identification information in the storage unit 51, respectively.
[0074] The reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation unit 23 generates reference electromagnetic characteristic information indicating electromagnetic characteristics that serve as a reference when determining whether the determination target device KT is a device that shares a hardware configuration with multiple reference devices, based on the electromagnetic characteristic information acquired by the electromagnetic characteristic information acquisition unit 11 and each piece of identification information acquired by the identification information acquisition unit 43. For example, the reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation unit 23 generates reference electromagnetic characteristic information for each of the multiple pieces of reference identification information acquired by the identification information acquisition unit 43. In other words, the reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation unit 23 generates 12th reference electromagnetic characteristic information based on 1-1 electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the 1-1 device K11 corresponding to the first reference identification information, 1-2 electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the 1-2 device K12, ..., 1-N electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the 1-N device K1N, and generates 34th reference electromagnetic characteristic information based on 2-1 electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the 2-1 device K21 corresponding to the second reference identification information, 2-2 electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the 2-2 device K22, ..., 2-N electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the 2-N device K2N.
[0075] The reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation unit 23 stores the generated twelfth reference electromagnetic characteristic information and thirty-fourth reference electromagnetic characteristic information in the storage unit 51. For example, the reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation unit 23 stores the twelfth reference electromagnetic characteristic information and the first reference identification information in the storage unit 51 in association with each other, and stores the thirty-fourth reference electromagnetic characteristic information and the second reference identification information in the storage unit 51 in association with each other.
[0076] When the determination target identification information of the determination target device KT corresponds to the first reference identification information, the determination unit 33 determines whether the hardware configuration of the determination target device KT is common to the 1-1 device K11 and the 1-2 device K12, ..., the 1-N device K1N based on the result of comparing the determination target electromagnetic characteristic information with the 12th reference electromagnetic characteristic information, and when the determination target identification information corresponds to the second reference identification information, the determination unit 33 determines whether the hardware configuration of the determination target device KT is common to the 2-1 device K21, the 2-2 device K22, ..., the 2-N device K2N based on the result of comparing the determination target electromagnetic characteristic information with the 34th reference electromagnetic characteristic information. Note that in the third embodiment, the 1-1 device K11 constitutes the first device, the 1-2 device K12 constitutes the second device, the 2-1 device K21 constitutes the third device, and the 2-2 device K22 constitutes the fourth device.
[0077] The hardware configuration of the device determining device 300 according to the third embodiment is similar to the hardware configuration of the device determining device 100 according to the first embodiment, and therefore a description thereof will be omitted.
[0078] Next, details of the processing performed by the equipment determining device 300 according to the third embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 12 to Fig. 14. Note that part of the processing performed by the equipment determining device 300 according to the third embodiment is similar to the processing performed by the equipment determining device 200 according to the second embodiment, and therefore, the same processing as in the second embodiment will be assigned the same reference numerals as in the second embodiment and will not be described. Fig. 13 is a flowchart showing an example of reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation processing performed by the equipment determining device 300 according to the third embodiment.
[0079] 13 , when the device determination device 300 starts the reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation process, it first acquires 1-1 electromagnetic characteristic information through 1-N electromagnetic characteristic information from the 1-1 device K11 through the 1-N device K1N (step ST21). In this process, the device determination device 300 acquires 1-1 electromagnetic characteristic information through 1-N electromagnetic characteristic information, which are electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the 1-1 device K11 through the 1-N device K1N that have a common hardware configuration, from the electromagnetic characteristic measurement device D10.
[0080] After performing the process of step ST21, the device determination device 300 acquires first reference identification information (step ST22). In this process, the device determination device 300 acquires the first reference identification information, which is identification information for identifying the hardware configurations of the first-1 device K11 to the first-Nth device K1N, from, for example, the input device D20.
[0081] After performing the process of step ST22, the equipment determination device 300 generates twelfth reference electromagnetic characteristic information (step ST23). In this process, the equipment determination device 300 generates the twelfth reference electromagnetic characteristic information as reference electromagnetic characteristic information in the case where the 1-1th equipment K11 to the 1-Nth equipment K1N are the reference equipment, based on the 1-1th electromagnetic characteristic information to the 1-Nth electromagnetic characteristic information acquired in the process of step ST21.
[0082] After performing the process of step ST23, the equipment determination device 300 stores the twelfth reference electromagnetic characteristic information generated in the process of step ST23 and the first reference identification information acquired in the process of step ST22 in the storage unit 51 (step ST24). In this process, the equipment determination device 300 stores the twelfth reference electromagnetic characteristic information and the first reference identification information in the storage unit 51 in association with each other.
[0083] After performing the processing of step ST24, the device determination device 300 acquires 2-1 electromagnetic characteristic information through 2-N electromagnetic characteristic information from the 2-1 device K21 through the 2-N device K2N (step ST25). In this processing, the device determination device 300 acquires 2-1 electromagnetic characteristic information through 2-N electromagnetic characteristic information, which are electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the 2-1 device K21 through the 2-N device K2N that have a common hardware configuration, from the electromagnetic characteristic measurement device D10.
[0084] After performing the process of step ST25, the device determination device 300 acquires second reference identification information (step ST26). In this process, the device determination device 300 acquires the second reference identification information, which is identification information for identifying the hardware configurations of the 2-1 device K21 to 2-N device K2N, from, for example, the input device D20.
[0085] After performing the process of step ST26, the equipment determination device 300 generates 34th reference electromagnetic characteristic information (step ST27). In this process, the equipment determination device 300 generates the 34th reference electromagnetic characteristic information as reference electromagnetic characteristic information in the case where the 2-1 device K21 to the 2-N device K2N are the reference devices, based on the 2-1 electromagnetic characteristic information to the 2-N electromagnetic characteristic information acquired in the process of step ST25.
[0086] After performing the processing of step ST27, the equipment determination device 300 stores the 34th reference electromagnetic characteristic information generated in the processing of step ST27 and the second reference identification information acquired in the processing of step ST26 in the storage unit 51 (step ST28). In this processing, the equipment determination device 300 associates the 34th reference electromagnetic characteristic information and the second reference identification information with each other and stores them in the storage unit 51. After performing the processing of step ST28, the equipment determination device 300 ends the reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation processing.
[0087] 14 is a flowchart showing an example of an equipment determination process performed by the equipment determination device 300 according to embodiment 3. As shown in FIG. 14, when the equipment determination device 300 starts the equipment determination process, it first acquires electromagnetic characteristic information of the determination target equipment KT (step ST11). After performing the process of step ST11, the equipment determination device 300 acquires identification information of the determination target equipment KT (step ST12).
[0088] After performing the process of step ST12, the device determination device 300 acquires first reference identification information and second reference identification information (step ST30). In this process, the device determination device 300 refers to the information stored in the storage unit 51 and acquires, from the storage unit 51, the first reference identification information and the second reference identification information, which are identification information of a reference device for determining whether the target device KT has a common hardware configuration.
[0089] After performing the process of step ST30, the device determination device 300 determines whether the identification information of the device to be determined KT matches the first reference identification information (step ST31). In this process, the device determination device 300 determines whether the device to be determined KT has a common hardware configuration with the first-1 device K11 to the first-Nth device K1N serving as reference devices, based on the identification information.
[0090] In the process of step ST31, if the identification information of the evaluation target device KT matches the first reference identification information (YES in step ST31), the device determination device 300 compares the electromagnetic characteristic information of the evaluation target device KT with the twelfth reference electromagnetic characteristic information (step ST32). In this process, the device determination device 300 refers to the information stored in the storage unit 51 and compares the evaluation target electromagnetic characteristic information acquired in the process of step ST11 with the twelfth reference electromagnetic characteristic information previously stored in the storage unit 51. In other words, in this process, the device determination device 300 compares the evaluation target electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the evaluation target device KT with the twelfth reference electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the 1-1st device K11 to the 1-Nth device K1N as the reference devices.
[0091] In the process of step ST31, if the identification information of the device to be determined does not match the first reference identification information (NO in step ST31), the device determination device 300 determines whether the identification information of the device to be determined KT matches the second reference identification information (step ST33). In this process, the device determination device 300 determines whether the hardware configuration of the device to be determined KT is common to the 2-1 device K21 to 2-N-th device K2N serving as the reference devices, based on the identification information.
[0092] In the process of step ST33, if the identification information of the device to be determined matches the second reference identification information (YES in step ST33), the device determination device 300 compares the electromagnetic characteristic information of the device to be determined KT with the 34th reference electromagnetic characteristic information (step ST34). In this process, the device determination device 300 refers to the information stored in the storage unit 51 and compares the electromagnetic characteristic information of the device to be determined acquired in the process of step ST11 with the 34th reference electromagnetic characteristic information previously stored in the storage unit 51. In other words, in this process, the device determination device 300 compares the electromagnetic characteristic information of the device to be determined, which indicates the electromagnetic characteristics of the device to be determined KT, with the 34th reference electromagnetic characteristic information, which indicates the electromagnetic characteristics of the 2-1 device K21 to the 2-N-th device K2N, which are reference devices.
[0093] After performing either the process of step ST32 or the process of step ST34, the device determination device 300 determines the hardware configuration of the device to be determined KT based on the comparison results of these processes (step ST35). In this process, the device determination device 300 determines whether the comparison results of the processes of step ST32 and step ST34 indicate that the hardware configuration of the device to be determined KT is common to the hardware configuration of the first-1 device K11 to the first-Nth device K1N as the reference device or the second-1 device K21 to the second-Nth device K2N as the reference device.
[0094] After performing the process of step ST35, the device determination device 300 outputs the determination result (step ST36). For example, in this process, the device determination device 300 outputs information indicating whether the hardware configuration of the device to be determined KT is common to the hardware configuration of the first-1 device K11 to the first-Nth device K1N as the reference device, or whether the hardware configuration is common to the hardware configuration of the second-1st device K21 to the second-Nth device K2N as the reference device, to the output device D30. When the device determination device 300 has performed the process of step ST36 or when the identification information of the device to be determined does not match the second reference identification information in the process of step ST33 (NO in step ST33), the device determination device 300 ends the device determination process.
[0095] As described above, in the device determination device 300 according to the third embodiment, the electromagnetic characteristic information acquisition unit includes an identification information acquisition unit 43 that acquires first reference identification information for identifying the hardware configuration of the 1-1 device K11 and the 1-2 device K12, which has a hardware configuration in common with the 1-1 device K11, and second reference identification information for identifying the hardware configuration of the 2-1 device and the 2-2 device K22, which has a hardware configuration in common with the 2-1 device K21. The identification information acquisition unit is configured to acquire 2-1 electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the 2-1 device K21 and 2-2 electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the 2-2 device, generate 34th reference electromagnetic characteristic information indicating reference electromagnetic characteristics based on the 2-1 electromagnetic characteristic information and the 2-2 electromagnetic characteristic information, associate the 12th reference electromagnetic characteristic information, which is the reference electromagnetic characteristic information, with the first reference identification information, store the 12th reference electromagnetic characteristic information and the 1st reference identification information in the storage unit 51, and also associate the 34th reference electromagnetic characteristic information with the 2nd reference identification information, store the 34th reference electromagnetic characteristic information and the 2nd reference identification information in the storage unit 51.
[0096] With this configuration, the equipment determination device 300 generates reference electromagnetic characteristic information for multiple reference equipment having different hardware configurations and stores the information in the storage unit 51, thereby being able to determine whether the hardware configuration of the evaluation target equipment KT is common to each of the multiple reference equipment. Furthermore, even between products that are generally considered to be of the same model, electromagnetic characteristics may differ from one another due to differences in production lot, production line, production period, and partial hardware configuration. The equipment determination device 300 according to the third embodiment generates different reference electromagnetic characteristic information for multiple equipment considered to be of the same model, thereby improving the accuracy of the determination of whether the hardware configuration of the evaluation target equipment KT is common to the reference equipment.
[0097] In addition, in the equipment determination device 300 according to the third embodiment, the identification information acquisition unit acquires determination target identification information for identifying the hardware configuration of the equipment to be determined, and the determination unit, if the determination target identification information corresponds to the first reference identification information, determines whether the hardware configuration of the equipment to be determined is common to the first and second equipment based on the result of comparing the determination target electromagnetic characteristic information with the twelfth reference electromagnetic characteristic information, and if the determination target identification information corresponds to the second reference identification information, determines whether the hardware configuration of the equipment to be determined is common to the third and fourth equipment based on the result of comparing the determination target electromagnetic characteristic information with the 34th reference electromagnetic characteristic information.
[0098] Configured in this manner, the equipment determination device 300 can determine whether the hardware configuration of the equipment to be determined KT is common to each of the multiple reference equipment by comparing reference electromagnetic characteristic information generated for multiple reference equipment having different hardware configurations with electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the equipment to be determined KT.
[0099] In the third embodiment, the device determination device 300 is configured to generate reference electromagnetic characteristic information for each of the reference devices divided into two groups: the 1-1 device K11, the 1-2 device K12, ..., the 1-N device K1N, which have a common hardware configuration, and the 2-1 device K21, the 2-2 device K22, ..., the 2-N device K2N, which have a common hardware configuration. However, the device determination device 300 may be configured to generate reference electromagnetic characteristic information for each of the reference devices divided into three or more groups, or may be configured to acquire reference identification information for each of the reference devices divided into three or more groups, associate the reference electromagnetic characteristic information with the reference electromagnetic characteristic information, and store the information in the storage unit 51. Alternatively, the device determination device 300 may be configured to compare the reference electromagnetic characteristic information corresponding to each of the reference devices divided into three or more groups with the electromagnetic characteristic information of the determination target device KT, thereby determining whether the determination target device KT shares a hardware configuration with any of the reference devices divided into three or more groups.
[0100] Furthermore, in the third embodiment, the device determination device 300 generates, as reference electromagnetic characteristic information, first reference electromagnetic characteristic information in which a feature amount of the electromagnetic characteristic is a first feature amount and second reference electromagnetic characteristic information in which the feature amount of the electromagnetic characteristic is a second feature amount that is larger than the first feature amount, based on a plurality of pieces of electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of each of a first plurality of devices; and generates, as reference electromagnetic characteristic information, third reference electromagnetic characteristic information in which a feature amount of the electromagnetic characteristic is a third feature amount and fourth reference electromagnetic characteristic information in which the feature amount of the electromagnetic characteristic is a fourth feature amount that is larger than the third feature amount, based on a plurality of pieces of electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of each of a second plurality of devices; and when the third feature amount is equal to or larger than the first feature amount and the fourth feature amount is equal to or smaller than the second feature amount, determines whether the first reference electromagnetic characteristic information and the first reference electromagnetic characteristic information are the same. The identification information and the second reference identification information are associated with each other and stored in the memory unit 51, the identification information to be determined is obtained for identifying the hardware configuration of the device to be determined KT, and if the identification information to be determined is information corresponding to the first reference identification information, it is determined whether or not the hardware configuration of the device to be determined KT is common to a first plurality of devices based on the result of comparing the electromagnetic characteristic information to be determined with the first reference electromagnetic characteristic information and the second reference electromagnetic characteristic information, and if the identification information to be determined is information corresponding to the second reference identification information, it is determined whether or not the hardware configuration of the device to be determined KT is common to a second plurality of devices based on the result of comparing the electromagnetic characteristic information to be determined with the first reference electromagnetic characteristic information and the second reference electromagnetic characteristic information. For example, when the equipment determination device 300 is configured in this manner, if the identification information to be determined is information corresponding to the first reference identification information, and the feature indicated by the electromagnetic characteristic information to be determined is equal to or greater than the feature indicated by the first reference electromagnetic characteristic information and equal to or less than the feature indicated by the second reference electromagnetic characteristic information, it is determined that the hardware configuration of the equipment to be determined KT is common to a first plurality of equipment; and if the identification information to be determined is information corresponding to the second reference identification information, and the feature indicated by the electromagnetic characteristic information to be determined is equal to or greater than the feature indicated by the first reference electromagnetic characteristic information and equal to or less than the feature indicated by the second reference electromagnetic characteristic information, it is determined that the hardware configuration of the equipment to be determined KT is common to a second plurality of equipment. As described above, if the hardware configurations of the first plurality of devices and the second plurality of devices are different but their respective features are similar, the amount of memory required for storage can be reduced by storing only the first reference electromagnetic characteristic information and the second reference electromagnetic characteristic information without storing the third reference electromagnetic characteristic information and the fourth reference electromagnetic characteristic information.
[0101] Furthermore, in the third embodiment, the device determination device 300 generates, as reference electromagnetic characteristic information, fifth reference electromagnetic characteristic information in which a feature amount of the electromagnetic characteristic is a fifth feature amount, based on a plurality of pieces of electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of each of the first plurality of devices, and generates, as reference electromagnetic characteristic information, sixth reference electromagnetic characteristic information in which a feature amount of the electromagnetic characteristic is a sixth feature amount, based on a plurality of pieces of electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of each of the second plurality of devices, and stores the fifth reference electromagnetic characteristic information, the first reference identification information, and the second reference identification information in a storage unit, in association with each other, when an absolute value of a difference between the fifth feature amount and the sixth feature amount is equal to or less than a preset threshold value. 51, acquires target identification information for identifying the hardware configuration of the target device KT, and if the target identification information corresponds to the first reference identification information, determines whether or not the hardware configuration of the target device KT is common to a first plurality of devices based on a result of comparing the target electromagnetic characteristic information with the fifth reference electromagnetic characteristic information, and if the target identification information corresponds to the second reference identification information, determines whether or not the hardware configuration of the target device KT is common to a second plurality of devices based on a result of comparing the target electromagnetic characteristic information with the fifth reference electromagnetic characteristic information. For example, in a case where the device determination device 300 is configured in this manner, if the determination target identification information is information corresponding to the first reference identification information, and the absolute value of the difference between the feature amount indicated by the determination target electromagnetic characteristic information and the fifth feature amount is equal to or less than a predetermined threshold value, the device determination device 300 determines that the hardware configuration of the determination target device KT is common to the first plurality of devices, whereas if the determination target identification information is information corresponding to the second reference identification information, and the absolute value of the difference between the feature amount indicated by the determination target electromagnetic characteristic information and the fifth feature amount is equal to or less than a predetermined threshold value, the device determination device 300 determines that the hardware configuration of the determination target device KT is common to the second plurality of devices. As described above, when the first plurality of devices and the second plurality of devices have different hardware configurations but similar feature amounts, storing only the fifth reference electromagnetic characteristic information without storing the sixth reference electromagnetic characteristic information has the effect of reducing the amount of memory required for storage.

Furthermore, in any of the above-described embodiments, the equipment determination device may be configured by a plurality of devices that are independent of each other. For example, a first device that generates reference electromagnetic characteristic information based on the electromagnetic characteristic information acquired by the electromagnetic characteristic information acquisition unit and a second device that determines whether the hardware configuration of the determination target device KT is common to the hardware configuration of the reference device based on the reference electromagnetic characteristic information acquired by the first device may be configured independently of each other. For example, when the equipment determination device is configured in this manner, the first device includes an electromagnetic characteristic information acquisition unit that acquires multiple pieces of electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of multiple pieces of equipment, including a first device and a second device, that have a common hardware configuration, and a reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation unit that generates reference electromagnetic characteristic information indicating reference electromagnetic characteristics based on the first electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the first device and the second electromagnetic characteristic information indicating the electromagnetic characteristics of the second device; and the second device is configured to include an electromagnetic characteristic information acquisition unit that acquires electromagnetic characteristic information to be determined that indicates the electromagnetic characteristics of the equipment to be determined KT, and a determination unit that determines whether the hardware configuration of the equipment to be determined KT is common to the multiple devices based on the result of comparing the electromagnetic characteristic information to be determined acquired by the electromagnetic characteristic information acquisition unit with the reference electromagnetic characteristic information generated by the reference electromagnetic characteristic information generation unit of the first device.
