Abstract

The present invention relates to a folding clothes hanger. A foldable hanger characterized by comprising a body (1), a hook (2) attached to the body (1), which can be hung at an external point, a horizontal shaft (3) connected to the body (1), two arms (4) forming zones for hanging garments and connected at their end points to the shaft (3) in such a way that they can rotate around the shaft (3) between a position of use allowing the hanging of garments and a folded position in which they approach each other, a first spring (5) connected to the arms (4) such that its end points are compressed between the arms (4), a locking wedge (6) which, when the arms (4) are in the operating position, fits between surfaces of the arms (4) facing each other to prevent movement of the arms (4), a locking piston (7) movable in a first guide on the body (1) to move the locking wedge (6) away from its position between the arms (4), arm pistons (8) each movable in second guides on the body (1) to push the arms (4) so as to narrow the angle between the arms (4), a button (9) connected to the locking piston (7) and the arm pistons (8) and which, when pressed by a user, moves the locking piston (7) and the arm pistons (8) in their respective guides.

2. A hanger according to claim 1, characterized by comprising boundary protrusions (12) connected to the body (1) and limiting the maximum opening of the arms (4) so as to leave gaps between the ends of the arm pistons (8) and the arms (4) when in use.

3. A hanger according to claim 2, characterized by comprising caps at the ends of the locking pistons (7) facing the arms (4).

A hanger according to claim 1, characterized by comprising at least one second spring (10) connected to at least one of the arm pistons (8) and the locking piston (7) in such a way that it is compressed when the button (9) is depressed and pushes thearm pistons (8) and the locking piston (7) towards their initial positions when the button (9) is released.

5. A hanger according to claim 1, characterized by comprising a helical torsion spring threaded onto the shaft (3) as the first spring (5).

6. A hanger according to claim 5, characterized by comprising a helical spring threaded onto the respective piston as the second spring (10).

7. A hanger according to claim 1, characterized by comprising a locking wedge (6) connected to the locking piston (7).

8. A hanger according to claim 1, characterized by comprising a locking wedge (6) movable on a third guide on the body (1).

9. A hanger according to claim 1, characterized by comprising the arm pistons (8) and the button (9) positioned above the arms (4) and the locking wedge (6) positioned to be movable downwardly away from the arms (4).

10. A hanger according to claim 1, characterized by comprising two legs extending from the sides of the button (9), connecting the hook (2) to the body (1).
