The one or more events may be screen ON / OFF event 402-1 of the network device, location ON / OFF event 402-2 of the network device, an airplane mode event 402-3 of the network device, and an application launch event 402-N of the network device. The network data may include, but is not limited to, the last boot time of the network device, rxMobileByte, rxWifiByte, txMobileByte, txWifiByte atdifferent intervals of time. The captured network data may be stored in the network device, at block 406. For example, the network data of a mobile phone may be stored locally in the memory of the mobile phone. The network data may be stored in a periodic manner in a pre-defined period of time. For example, the network data may be stored in the memory hourly basis.

[0068] The network data may be synced, at block 408. The synchronization of the network data may be performed at the server 108. The synchronization may be performed at daily basis. In synchronization process, the network data may be associated with a unique tag. At block 410, the network data may be processed by the server 108. The network data of the network devices 106 may be utilized by the server 108 to calculate a number of bytes consumed (transmitted or received) by the user in the pre-defined period of time.

[0069] The data related to data consumption of each network device may be stored in a server, at block 412. The data may be stored hourly basis. Further, the server 108 is further configured to generate a user profile based on the calculated number of bytes consumed by the user, at block 414. The user profile comprises data consumed by the user in the pre-defined period of time, such as hourly basis.

[0070] FIG. 5 illustrates a dataflow diagram of a method 500 for generating reports that indicate network usage, in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure. The method 500 comprises a series of operation steps indicated by blocks 502 through 518. The method 500 starts at block 502.

[0071] At block 502, the network data may be captured and stored in a mobile application on T days. The mobile application may be any third-party application integrated in the network device. In an embodiment, the mobile application is an SDK integrated with the network device. At block 504, when the user launches the application, the network data gets synchronized to the backend. If the network data is not captured on the launch of the application, the network data may be fetched on the next launch or event, at block 506. Data in backend gets sync in the encrypted format.

[0072] The network data is processed in backend in the batch process which takes place after every 2 mins interval, at block 508. The processed network data is then transmitted to an event streaming platform, at block 510. At the event streaming platform, the network data gets stored in an unstructured format in an unstructured data pool. In an implementation, the network data may be stored in a distributed streaming platform in the unstructured format. Further, the network data may be stored in a structured data pool, at block 512. In an implementation, the network data may be stored in Hbase in structured manner column wise. The structured data pool generally categorizes the network data as quantitative data that is organized and decipherable by machine learning algorithms. Further, the network data may be processed to obtain data consumption by the network device in a pre-defined interval, at block 514. For example, the data consumption may be recorded on an hourly basis. The final result may be recorded into a report, at block 516. An example of the data recorded into the readable format is presented below.Table 1 : Data received from users

[0073] Table 1 depicts data received from users passively captured file. The parameters like (rxMobileByte, txMobileByte) are used for calculating data used in a particular hour for transmission or receiving any file, streaming, downloading file on LTE or 5G network. The data is received in the form of bytes. After reception, the data is converted into MB and GB as per use cases. In similar way, (rxWifiByte, txWifiByte) are used in similar fashion for Wifi Network. The values received in the parameters (rxMobileByte, txMobileByte, rxWifiByte, txWifiByte) are incremental values, hence hourly subtracting previous hours value give us current hours value.

[0074] Further, final data is used for trend analysis and user profiling, at block 518. The data consumption of a user or a group of users may be collected on (not limited to) an hourly basis, daily basis, weekly basis, and monthly basis. The server 108 may generate a user profile for the user based on the data consumption recorded in the database 206. In some aspects, a profile for the group of users may be generated by the server 108. The user profile of the user may be utilized for analyzing the trend of data consumption.

[0075] Once the data consumption is collected and recorded in the database 206, the server 108 may segregate technology -wise data consumption of the user or the group of users based on the user profile or the generated profile for the group of users. Thesegregation of the technology-wise data consumption may be done for the LTE network, the 5G network, and the WiFi network. The segregation may be performed based on operator- wise, geographical area-wise, and time-wise segregation.

[0076] In some embodiments, the server 108 may segregate the data consumption of the user 1 as illustrated in table 1. The server 108 may perform the time-wise segregation for each technology -wise data consumption, such as the time-wise segregation for the LTE network, the 5G network, and the WiFi network. The server 108 may analyze the trend of the data consumption for each hour, or a definite period of a day. In a non-limiting example, the server 108 may analyze the trend of data consumption of the user 1 during peak hours of the day in both morning and evening. The server 108 may observe that the user 1 has consumed data using the LTE network or the 5G network during the peak hours of the day The server 108 may analyze the trend of data consumption of the user 1 during non-peak hours of the day, i.e. during the noon time and nighttime. The server 108 may observe that the user 1 has consumed the WiFi network during the non-peak hours of the day. The server 108 may send the trend analysis to a network service provider for optimizing network performance based on the data consumption.

[0077] In some embodiments, the server 108 may perform the geographical areawise segregation for each technology-wise data consumption, such as the geographical area -wise segregation for the LTE network, the 5G network, and the WiFi network. The server 108 may analyze the trend of the data consumption for each geographical area in the coverage region of the network 102. Based on the data consumption of each user or a group of users in each geographical area, the server 108 may analyze the trend of technology -wise data consumption. In a non-limiting example, the server 108 may analyze the trend of the data consumption for the LTE network, the 5G network, and the WiFi network in a particular geographical area. The server 108 may infer that the data consumption of te 5G network is more than the LTE and the Wifi networks. The server 108 may generate a trend analysis report to the network service provider of the particular geographical area for optimizingnetwork performance based on the data consumption. The network service provider may improve the LTE and the WiFi networks based on the report.
