Description
HYBRID SHEET FOR ENHANCED PROTECTION OF THE SHEET AND OF GOODSCROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
[0001] This application claims the benefit of priority under 35 U.S.C. § 119(e) of U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 63 / 689,781, filed 02 September 2024, entitled “HYBRID SHEET FOR ENHANCED PROTECTION OF THE SHEET AND OF GOODS”. The contents of the above applications are all incorporated by reference as if fully set forth herein in their entirety.BACKGROUND
[0002] Storage and preservation of goods inclusive of crops such as silage hay bales are of paramount importance. Traditionally, many goods inclusive of bales are wrapped with plastic sheets, wraps, nets, or other wrapping materials to protect them from environmental factors such as moisture, pests, and UV radiation. However, these wrapping materials are often susceptible to damage during handling, transportation, and storage, which can compromise the integrity of the wrapped goods and lead to spoilage.
[0003] To address this issue, there is a need for an improved wrapping solution that provides enhanced protection to the wrapped bales, particularly during their rolled form. The present invention aims to fulfill this need by introducing a continuous hybrid sheet that combines a bale sheet, bale wrap, bale net, or wrapping sheet with a cover sheet. The cover sheet is designed to protect the external or outer surface of the net, bale sheet, bale wrap, bale net, pallet wrap, or wrapping sheet, thereby ensuring the integrity and longevity of the wrapped bales.
[0004] The present invention also addresses the need for a wrapping solution that is compatible with existing wrapping or baling equipment. The cover sheet can be used as a feeding layer for the wrapping machine and / or the baler, making it easy to integrate into current practices without requiring significant modifications to the equipment.SUMMARY
