Description

Sealing gasket and high-pressure oxygen chamber containing the same

[0001] The present invention relates to a high-pressure oxygen chamber including a sealing gasket. More specifically, it relates to a high-pressure oxygen chamber in which airtightness is maintained by a sealing gasket having wing portions formed therein.

[0002] A hyperbaric oxygen chamber is the main equipment used in hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and its purpose is to supply high-purity oxygen at a pressure higher than that of a normal breathing environment.

[0003] These hyperbaric oxygen chambers are equipped with entrances and exits to accommodate patients, but there has been a problem with oxygen leaking through these entrances during hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Because such leaks pose a risk of fire or explosion, preventing these leaks and maintaining the chamber's airtightness is a key technology.

[0004] There are many examples of hyperbaric oxygen chambers that utilize various opening and closing devices to solve this problem, but there are limitations in preventing oxygen from leaking through the gaps between the opening and closing devices.

[0005] To solve this problem and maintain the chamber's airtightness more effectively, the present invention provides a high-pressure oxygen chamber including a sealing gasket.

[0006] The technical problem of the present invention is to provide a high-pressure oxygen chamber including a sealing gasket that maintains confidentiality.

[0007] Another technical object of the present invention is to provide a high-pressure oxygen chamber including a sealing gasket having improved sealing force by forming a wing portion and continuously contacting a door portion.

[0008] In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, the present invention provides a high-pressure oxygen chamber including a sealing gasket, which is provided to seal between a chamber including a first flange protruding inward from the circumferential surface of an opening and closing opening and a door part that opens and closes inward of the chamber, and is characterized in that it is provided in a shape that surrounds the first flange and partially surrounds the circumferential surface of the opening and closing opening.

[0009] In addition, the present invention provides a high-pressure oxygen chamber including a sealing gasket, characterized in that the gasket further includes a first wing portion formed to extend along the outer circumference of the door portion on the first sealing surface in contact with the outer circumference of the door portion of the gasket, and when the air pressure inside the chamber increases, the first wing portion is sealed by contacting the door portion with the air between the chamber and the door portion.

[0010] According to the present invention, since a gasket is provided in a shape that surrounds a flange protruding from the opening of the chamber, the chamber can be sealed more effectively.

[0011] According to the present invention, since the wing portion of the gasket is in continuous contact with the inner surface of the door portion, even if the pressure inside the chamber increases, the gasket does not come off and can continue to seal.

[0018] The purpose and effects of the present invention will become clearer through the following detailed description, but the purpose and effects of the present invention are not limited to the following description alone.

[0019] In addition, when describing the present invention, if it is determined that a detailed description of a known technology related to the present invention may unnecessarily obscure the gist of the present invention, the detailed description will be omitted.

[0020] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings so that those skilled in the art can easily implement the present invention. However, the present invention may be implemented in various different forms and is not limited to the embodiments disclosed below. Furthermore, in order to clearly describe the present invention in the drawings, parts unrelated to the present invention have been omitted, and identical or similar symbols in the drawings represent identical or similar components.

[0021] Fig. 1 is a cutaway perspective view of a chamber (100) to which a gasket (200) according to one embodiment of the present invention is applied. Referring to Fig. 1, the present invention relates to a high-pressure oxygen chamber (100) including a gasket (200) for sealing between a chamber (100) including a first flange (110) protruding inward from the circumference of an opening (1) and a door portion (2) that opens and closes from the inside of the chamber (100).

[0022] In order to maintain the airtightness of the high-pressure oxygen chamber (100), the gasket (200) is preferably provided in a shape that surrounds the first flange (110), but is also preferably provided in a shape that partially surrounds the peripheral surface of the opening (1). In this case, the gasket (200) may be implemented to have the shapes of the first embodiment and the second embodiment depending on the shape of the flange.

[0023] Hereinafter, with reference to FIGS. 2 to 4, an embodiment of a gasket (200) according to the shape of the flange will be examined in detail.

[0024] FIG. 2 is an enlarged cross-sectional view showing a gasket (200) according to the first embodiment of the present invention coupled to a chamber (100), and FIG. 3 is an enlarged cross-sectional view showing a detailed configuration of a gasket (200) according to the first embodiment of the present invention.

[0025] As a first embodiment of the gasket (200), when only the first flange (110) is provided on the circumferential surface of the opening (1), the gasket (200) may be formed to have a shape as illustrated in FIG. 2. More specifically, the gasket (200) according to the first embodiment may be formed so as to have a space having an “L” cross-section formed on the inside to surround the first flange (110) and a portion of the opening (1).

[0026] In detail, referring to FIG. 3, the gasket (200) according to the first embodiment may be configured to include an outer contact portion (210) that surrounds the circumference of the opening (1) and is located on the outside of the opening (1); a flange contact portion (220) that surrounds the first flange (110); and an inner contact portion (230) that surrounds the circumference of the opening (1) and is located on the inside of the opening (1).

[0027] In another preferred embodiment, the gasket (200) may be further provided with an adhesive member (300) applied to the contact portion between the gasket (200) and the chamber (100), as illustrated in FIG. 2, to prevent the gasket (200) from being separated from the chamber (100). At this time, the adhesive member (300) is most preferably made of silicone, but is not limited thereto, and any adhesive member capable of fixing the gasket (200) to the chamber (100) will suffice. In addition, the adhesive member (300) may be applied only to the end portion where the gasket (200) is opened, as illustrated in FIG. 2, or may be applied to the entire inner circumferential surface formed by the opening of the gasket (200).

[0028] FIG. 4 is an enlarged cross-sectional view showing a gasket (200) according to a second embodiment of the present invention coupled to a chamber (100), and FIG. 5 is an enlarged cross-sectional view showing a detailed configuration of a gasket (200) according to a second embodiment of the present invention.

[0029] As a second embodiment for the gasket (200), when the second flange (120) is formed to protrude from the first flange (110), it is preferable to form it so as to have a shape as illustrated in FIG. 4. Specifically, the second flange (120) is formed to protrude from the end of the first flange (110) and is configured to be bent so that the cross-section protrudes in an "L" shape in a direction opposite to the opening (1), and the gasket (200) according to the second embodiment can be formed to surround both the first flange (110) and the second flange (120).

[0030] In detail, referring to FIG. 5, the gasket (200) according to the second embodiment may be configured to include an outer contact portion (210) that surrounds the circumference of the opening (1) and is located on the outside of the opening (1); a flange contact portion (220) that surrounds the first flange (110) and the second flange (120); an inner contact portion (230) that surrounds the circumference of the opening (1) and is located on the inside of the opening (1); and a flange insert portion (240) that is inserted into the space between the inside of the opening (1) and the first and second flanges (110, 120).

[0031] In another preferred embodiment, a micro-pattern may be further formed on the contact surface of the inner surface of the chamber (100) and the flange insertion portion (240) to increase frictional force in order to prevent the gasket (200) from being separated from the chamber (100). The micro-pattern may be formed on either the inner surface of the chamber (100) or the upper surface of the flange insertion portion (240), or may be formed on both.

[0032] In another preferred embodiment, a micro-pattern may be further formed on the contact surface of the outer surface of the door portion (2) and the flange contact portion (220) to increase frictional force in order to prevent the gasket (200) from being separated from the chamber (100). The micro-pattern may be formed on either the outer surface of the door portion (2) or the upper surface of the flange contact portion (220), or may be formed on both.

[0033] In a most preferred embodiment, a micro-pattern may be further formed to increase friction between the inner surface of the chamber (100) and the contact surface of the flange insertion portion (240) and the outer surface of the door portion (2) and the contact surface of the flange contact portion (220) to prevent the gasket (200) from being separated from the chamber (100). When the micro-pattern is formed in this way, the sealing force is improved by preventing the gasket (200) from being separated from the chamber (100), and the airtightness of the chamber (100) can be effectively maintained.

[0034] As a more preferred embodiment of the gasket (200) according to the second embodiment of the present invention, it may be implemented to further include at least one of the first wing portion (201) and the second wing portion (202), as shown in FIG. 5.

[0035] The first wing portion (201) is configured to extend along the outer surface of the door portion (2) to the first sealing surface (10) of the gasket (200) that is in contact with the outer surface of the door portion (2). Specifically, the first wing portion (201) is configured to extend from the flange contact portion (220) of the gasket (200).

[0036] As the first wing part (201) is formed in this way, when the air pressure within the chamber (100) increases, the chamber (100) is sealed by the air between the chamber (100) and the door part (2) causing the first wing part (201) to come into contact with the door part (2). A detailed example of this will be described later with reference to FIG. 6.

[0037] The second wing portion (202) is configured to extend along the inner surface of the chamber (100) from the second sealing surface (20) that contacts the inner surface of the chamber (100). Specifically, the second wing portion (202) is configured to extend from the flange insertion portion (240) of the gasket (200).

[0038] In another embodiment for the second wing portion (202), when the second wing portion (202) is formed on the gasket (200) according to the first embodiment, the second wing portion (202) may be formed to extend from the inner contact portion (230) of the gasket (200).

[0039] In a preferred embodiment for the case where the second wing portion (202) is formed, the chamber (100) may be formed so that a groove portion (130) having a shape corresponding to that of the second wing portion (202) is further formed on the inner surface that contacts the second wing portion (202). In this way, when the groove portion (130) is further formed in the chamber (100), the second wing portion (202) is inserted into the inner side of the groove portion (130) by the air inside the chamber (100), thereby improving the sealing force.

[0040] FIG. 6 is an enlarged cross-sectional view showing the principle of the first wing portion (201) of the gasket (200) according to the second embodiment of the present invention being in close contact with the door portion (2).

[0041] Referring to FIG. 6, the gasket (200) according to the second embodiment of the present invention is formed so that the first wing portion (201) is bent toward the outer surface of the door portion (2) and adheres tightly to the door portion (2) due to air flowing between the chamber (100) and the door portion (2) as the pressure inside the chamber (100) increases. For this purpose, it is preferable that the gasket (200) be formed of a soft material.

[0042] At this time, the second wing part (202) is also bent toward the inner surface of the chamber (100) and pressed against it by the air flowing between the chamber (100) and the door part (2), and when a groove part (130) is formed on the inner surface of the chamber (100), it is inserted into the inner side of the groove part (130) to maintain airtightness.

[0043] As a preferred embodiment of the first wing portion (201) for more effectively contacting the door portion (2), the first wing portion (201) may be provided with a thickness smaller than the thickness of the flange contact portion (220) surrounding the first flange (110) or the second flange (120). Similarly, the second wing portion (202) may be provided with a thickness smaller than the thickness of the flange insert portion (240).

[0044] In a preferred embodiment of the first wing portion (201) and the second wing portion (202), the first wing portion (201) or the second wing portion (202) may have an edge-shaped end. In this case, when the end of the first wing portion (201) and the second wing portion (202) are provided in an edge-shaped end, the effect of minimizing the influence of the pressure gradient of the gas inside the chamber (100) improves the sealing force and continuously maintains the airtightness is achieved.

[0045] The above-described preferred embodiments of the present invention are disclosed for the purpose of illustration, and those skilled in the art will be able to make various modifications, changes, and additions within the spirit and scope of the present invention, and such modifications, changes, and additions should be considered to fall within the scope of the above-described claims. In addition, those skilled in the art to which the present invention pertains will be able to make various substitutions, modifications, and changes without departing from the technical spirit of the present invention, and therefore the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments and the attached drawings.

[0046] In the exemplary system described above, the methods are described based on a flowchart as a series of steps or blocks. However, the present invention is not limited to the order of the steps, and some steps may occur in a different order or simultaneously with other steps described above. Furthermore, those skilled in the art will understand that the steps depicted in the flowchart are not exclusive, and other steps may be included, or one or more steps in the flowchart may be deleted without affecting the scope of the present invention.
