[0002] The embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to integrated communications. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to the use of a differentiating sensor system, methods and devices for monitoring one or more events associated with at least one of a location and / or an object. Background

[0003] Background description includes information that may be useful in understanding the present invention. It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art or that any publication specifically or implicitly referenced as prior art.

[0004] In general, in premises automation (e.g., home, residence, office environment, industrial as well as automobile environments and the like) there may be multiple devices and different home automation communication protocols, wireless, wired, or combinations of wired and wireless. The multiple devices may include an Internet of Things (loT) device for specific functionality and specific task. However, conventional loT devices may be standalone devices and may not be suitable to be implemented with non-IoT devices. The non-IoT devices may include, for instance, refrigerator, Television (TV), oven, door, washing machine, dishwasher, machinery, door or drawer locking mechanisms and the like, which may be without any network interface.

[0005] Conventional systems, which utilize a hub in the control the multiple devices, such as the loT devices, may allow to enhance the functionality of wired sensors and other devices by connecting binary sensors, analog sensors, temperature sensors and / or humidity sensors to report their readings to a controller. Further, the conventional hub may also control multiple devices by opening / closing output contacts independently of the inputs. However, the conventional hub may be a wired or wireless hub to control non-IoT devices by taking input from sensors and mobile devices. Further, since a ZigBee and a Bluetooth Low Energy (BEE) protocol may be used to control a number of complimenting devices, it would be advantageous to exploit an Internet of Things (loT) ecosystem as a whole rather than limiting it based on protocol and dealing with BEE and ZigBee technologiesPCT / US25 / 40603 04 August 2025 (04.08.2025)Docket No.: ITP / 994PCT independently. These may further be utilized within a Matter protocol system. However, currently available loT web applications and / or native applications are limited as they can only list loT devices according to the hardware capability of a mobile device. Hence, computer applications presently available for mobile devices only display BLE devices since most mobile devices lack ZigBee transceivers. Presently ZigBee device gateway applications only provide access to ZigBee devices discovered by the application. In some cases, the limiting factor is that the hardware executing the application does not have access to a compatible transmitter, receiver, transceiver or the like. In addition, there is presently no way to easily connect a BLE device with a ZigBee device on a mobile device. Even if it is connected, the mobile device or the application on the mobile device has to be ZigBee aware to know the actions possible on ZigBee devices.

[0006] Zigbee may be used with wifi in the building, such as a home or office for communication with the server. Both BLE and Zigbee are examples of short range wireless signal transceivers that may have a range of about 6m to 12m, or about 6 up to about 15m. Other short range wireless signal transceivers (receiver and / or transmitter), may have a range of about 100m or less, such as about 15m or less, about 12m or less, about 10m or less, about 6m or less and any range between and including the values provided. A shorter range may enable longer life of the device as typically a longer range signal requires more power.

[0007] When traveling the BLE may be preferred when traveling, such as when in a vehicle, as the wireless signal transmission distance is small, such as less than 6m and BLE is optimized for these short range situations, providing longer battery life for these devices.

[0008] Hence, there is a need, in not only premises automation of existing non-IoT devices, but also to provide a capability for mobile devices to be given access to devices controllable via different protocols, so that a user can seamlessly associate actions to one type of device based on events received by another type of device. In order to implement such a feature, there is, therefore, a need of a robust, improved and flexible systems, methods and devices for monitoring one or more events associated with at least one of a location and an object. The present invention overcomes these challenges by utilizing a differentiating sensor array.SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0009] In an aspect, the present disclosure provides a system for monitoring one or more events associated with at least one of a location and / or an object. The system includes at least one or more first or primary sensory devices. One or more secondary or auxiliary sensory devices may be detachably coupled to each of the one or more first or primary sensory device and may interface with the primary sensor and / or may interface via a wireless signal with the hub. The system includes connection to a server via a proprietary hub system. The one or more first sensory devices senses onePCT / US25 / 40603 04 August 2025 (04.08.2025)Docket No.: ITP / 994PCT or more events associated with at least one of a location and / or an object, using one or more sensors. The one or more first or primary sensory devices include, but is not limited to, a motion sensor, a vibration sensor, an acceleration sensor, an impact detection sensor, a tamper detection sensor, a light sensor, a magnetic field sensor, and an electrical continuity sensor and a processor. Secondary or auxiliary sensory devices may include, but are not limited to, any of the above mentioned sensors and a pressure sensor, a contact sensor, a tamper detection sensor, a distance sensor, an inertial information sensor and the like. Further, the one or more first sensory device generates first sensor data corresponding to the sensed one or more events. Analysis is performed by the processor of the first or primary sensory device to identify a pre-programmed value of the generated first sensor data and, through algorithmic processing, to determine if the value deviates with respect to a first predefined threshold value. Furthermore, the one or more first sensory device transmits the generated first sensor data to a server, via a wired or wireless hub, when the value of one or more events is identified to be deviated with respect to the first pre-defined threshold value. In an aspect, the one or more second sensory device detachably coupled to each of the one or more first sensory device may receive a first trigger from the secondary or auxiliary device to capture the sensed one or more events, when the value of one or more events is identified to be deviated with respect to the first pre-defined threshold value. The one or more second sensory device is a high data rate supported sensor device. The one or more second sensors may include, but are not limited to, an image sensor, an infrared sensor, a depth sensor, a Three-Dimensional (3D) sensor, a night vision sensor, a Red Green Blue (RGB) sensor, a tamper detection sensor, a location sensor, a Global Positioning System (GPS), a position sensor, an altitude sensor, an audio sensor, and the like. Further, the one or more secondary sensors generates second sensor data corresponding to the captured one or more events and transmit the generated second sensor data to the server, via the wired or wireless hub. In an aspect, the server receives via the wired or wireless hub, the first sensor data and the second sensor data from the one or more first sensory device and the one or more second sensory device, respectively. The server analyzes at least one of the first sensor data and the second sensor data to identify a value associated with at least one of the first sensor data and the second sensor data is deviated with respect to a second pre-defined threshold value. Further, the server outputs one or more notifications to an electronic device associated with each of the one or more first sensory device, when the value associated with at least one of the first sensor data and the second sensor data is identified to be deviated with respect to the second pre-defined threshold value. It must be appreciated that the present invention has the ability to respond to and transmit multiple sets of sensory data whether from the first or primary sensory device or the secondary or auxiliary sensory device whether detachably coupled together or not. Thereafter, the server receives via the wired or wireless hub, the first sensor data and the third sensor data from the one or more first sensory device and the one or more third sensory device, respectively. The server analyzes at least one of, the first sensor data and the third sensor data to identify a value associated with at least one of, the first sensor data and the third sensor data is deviated with respect to a third pre-defined threshold value. Further, the server outputs one or more notification to the electronic device associated with each of the one or more first sensory device, when the value associated with at least one of, the first sensor data and the third sensor data is identified to be deviated with respect to the third pre-defmed threshold value. It must further be appreciated that while three auxiliary sensor}' devices are disclosed here for illustrative puiposes, there may be multiple auxiliary sensor}' devices utilized in a specific installation. Also, the auxiliary sensor may communicate with the primary sensory device via a wired or wireless communication and / or may communicate with the hub directly via a wireless signal.

[0025] An exemplary sensory device may have a plurality of sensors, such as two or more, three or more, four or more, five or more, six or more, seven or more, eight or more, nine or more, ten or more, twelve or more and any range between and including the number of sensors provided. The sensors may include an environmental condition detection sensor, a temperature sensor, a pressure, a physical parameter sensor, a humidity sensor, a chemical sensor, a medical parameter sensor, a biological substance and / or an agent sensor, a radioactivity sensor, an optical sensor, a light sensor and the like. A processor and controller which may include a microprocessor configured on the sensory device and powered by a battery on the sensory device, may use an input from two or more sensors to determine a state of change in an environmental condition and / or a positional condition. Comparative analysis may be performed between various sensor inputs to confirm an actual state of change. The sensory device may use a wireless signal transceiver including a wireless signal transmitter to interface with a hub, that communicates with a server, or directly with a server to enable an alert communication to be provided to a user. The user may receiver an alert on their mobile electronic device, such as their mobile phone that there has been a state of change.

The system may use a plurality of environmental sensor to set a status quo condition, such as sound and vibration and a combination of measured values may have to exceed the threshold set by thePCT / US25 / 40603 04 August 2025 (04.08.2025)Docket No.: ITP / 994PCT controller and / or Al to produce an alert condition. This type of system may be used to determine a break in for example and require sound and vibration levels to exceed thresholds set by Al over a calibration time.|0027] The sensory device is powered by a battery on the sensory device and this battery may be charged by connection of a charger to pogo pins or charging port such as a universal serial bus port (USB) including USBC, or USB type A (USBA) or LTE-M, LoRaWAN, NB-IoT. Also, the sensory device may have a photovoltaic cell (solar cell) that generates electrical power that charges the battery via sunlight or artificial light.

[0028] An auxiliary sensor may be coupled to the sensory device via the pogo pins or other coupling port, such as a USB port. An extended sensor may require a sensor extension from the sensory device, wherein the extended sensor is configured along or on the extended end of the sensor extension, such as an electrical cable. An example of an extended sensor is a moisture sensor that may be inserted into a potted plant for detecting a moisture level of the soil in the pot.

Both BLE and Zigbee are examples of short-range wireless signals that may have a range of wireless communication of about 6.1m to 12.2m (20ft to 40ft).These communication methods require far less power than WIFI communication signals and therefore a sensory device may remain effectively charged and in service by the on-board battery for as long as four months or more, six months or more, or even eight or ten months or more. When the sensory device includes a photovoltaic cell, the sensory device may be charged indefinitely, as long as there is an effective amount of light exposure.]0030] The summary of the invention is provided as a general introduction to some of the embodiments of the invention, and is not intended to be limiting.
