A toilet assembly

Abstract

A toilet seat and toilet pan assembly comprising: a toilet seat having an aperture in a central region thereof, the aperture being defined by a seat inner periphery, the toilet seat comprising a lower surface including an inclined portion forming an incline between a seat outer periphery and the seat inner periphery; and a toilet pan defining an aperture having a rim inner periphery, the toilet pan configured to be located on a toilet pan bowl, wherein the toilet pan includes an inclined portion forming an incline between a rim outer periphery and the rim inner periphery, and wherein, when the toilet seat is lowered, the inclined portion of the toilet seat is located in abutment with, or close proximity to, the inclined portion of the toilet pan such that lateral movement of the toilet seat relative to the toilet pan portion is substantially precluded, and wherein, when the toilet seat is lowered no portion of the seat outer periphery extends beyond the rim outer periphery.
