[0027] Description of the invention
[0028] Figure 1 illustrates an example of a hasp lock arrangement according to the invention. Figure 2 shows another view of the example of figure 1 where a cylinder lock 5A has been moved in order to separate hasp members. Figure 3 shows the hasp members separated from each other, and figure 4 shows a situation where a cylinder lock arrangement 5 has been pulled away from the hasp members.
[0029] So, a hasp lock arrangement according to the invention comprises a first hasp member 1 and a second hasp member 2, both members having interface surfaces 3, 4, which matches with each other. The hasp lock arrangement further comprises a cylinder lock arrangement 5 housed in the first hasp member 1. The cylinder lock arrangement comprises a cylinder lock 5A in order to lock and to open the hasp lock arrangement. The first hasp member 1 comprises a first bore 7A, 7B, and the second hasp member 2 comprises a second bore 8, Further, the cylinder lock arrangement comprises a locking bolt 6. In a locking position of the hasp lock arrangement the interface surfaces 3, 4 are against each other, and the first bore 7A, 7A and the second bore 8 are aligned with each other, and the locking bolt 6 is in the first and the second bores. The locking bolt 6 comprises a connection pin 9 at another end 6A of the locking bolt. The connection pin can, for example, be seen in figures 5 and 14.
[0030] The connection pin 9 has a smaller diameter D1 than the rest of the locking bolt. An inner end 10 of the cylinder lock 5A comprises a hole 11 in which the connection pin 9 is attached in a rotatable manner. The inner end 10 of the lock cylinder 5A has an area A1 larger than a cross-section area A2 of the locking bolt outside the cylinder lock. The area A1 also surround a circumference of the locking bolt 8. Figure 11 illustrates the area A1 of the inner end 10, and the cross-section area A2 of the locking bolt.
[0031] Because the locking bolt 6 is rotatable in relation to the cylinder lock 5A, it can rotate in relation to the hasp members 1 , 2, more precisely in relation to the to first and second bores 7A, 7B, 8. So, cutting or sawing down the locking bolt is very difficult when the hasp lock arrangement is locked. Furthermore, manipulation of the locking bolt via the third bore 14 is practically impossible because the locking bolt is in the inner end’s 10 area A1.
[0032] Figure 10 shows an inner end view from the cylinder lock 5A. The locking bolt is situated in the inner end’s 10 area. So, as said and illustrated in figure 11. The inner end’s 10 area A1 surrounds the cross-section area A2 of the locking bolt at the surface level of the inner end 10.
[0033] Figures 1 , 8 and 14 shows the locking position of the hasp lock arrangement. The first hasp member and the second hasp member are together, so that their interface surfaces are against each other. The first bore 7A, 7B, and the second bore 8 are aligned with each other, and the locking bolt 6 is in the first and the second bores. So, the locking bolt keeps the first and the second hasp members locked together. As can be seen, the first bore comprises two parts 7A, 7B. The second bore 8 of the second hasp part 2 is in a projection 23. The projection matches with a recess 22 of the firs part. As can be seen, the projection and the recess are parts of the interface surface 3, 4.
[0034] The locking cylinder 5A comprises at least one latch 20, in the embodiment of the figures two latches. The cylinder lock controls the latch / s so that when they are in protruding position as in the figures, they are in notches 21 (figure 14) on the edge of the third bore 14. In this position and when the movements of the latches inside the cylinder lock 5A are prevented, pulling the cylinder lock and also the locking bolt 6 away from the first hasp member is prevented. Figure 9, for example, shows the protruding positions of the latches 20.
[0035] In order to open the locked hasp lock arrangement, the cylinder lock 5A is opened by a correct electric code, like in the embodiment of the figures. The electric code can, for example, be an RFID code. If the cylinder lock is totally mechanical, the cylinder lock can be open by a key. When opening the cylinder lock the latches 20 are allowed to move inside the cylinder lock, and the cylinder lock can be pulled outside from the first hasp. Figure 2 shows this situation. After the pulling the cylinder lock 5A outside, the locking bolt 6 is not in the second bore 8 of the second hasp member, and the hasp members 1 , 2 can be separated as figure 3 illustrates.
[0036] It is not desired to separate the cylinder lock from the first hasp member when opening the hasp lock arrangement normally. So, the hasp lock arrangement comprises a spring biased retainer pin 12 situated in a retainer bore 13 in the cylinder lock. Figures 5, 7, 12 and 13, for example, illustrate the retainer pin. As said the first hasp member 1 comprises the third bore 14 wherein the cylinder lock is attached. The edge of the third bore has a groove 15 for a top end 12A of the retainer pin. The groove can be seen in figures 6 and 7.
[0037] So, the top end 12A of the retainer pin is in the groove 15. The groove has an end 16 near a bottom 17 surface of the first hasp member 1 . The groove allows movement of the cylinder lock 5A along the third bore 14 of the cylinder lock when the cylinder lock is in an open state, i.e. the latches can move inside the cylinder lock. The end 16 and the retainer pin 12 prevents pulling the cylinder lock and the locking bolt totally out from the first hasp member 1 as illustrated in figures 2 and 3.
[0038] In order to change batteries of the cylinder lock (in cases like cylinder locks requiring electrical codes for opening) the first member may have a bore 24 for a tool to push the retainer pin12, more precisely the top 12A of the retainer pin. When pushing the retainer pin, the cylinder lock arrangement 5 can be released out of the first hasp member 1. For example, figures 4 and 6 illustrate the cylinder lock arrangement, which is pulled totally out of the first hasp member. The bore 24 for a tool is safe to situate on the interface surface 3 of the first hasp member 1 as illustrated in figure 13
[0039] Although, the retainer pin 12 can be situated quite freely, a convenient way is illustrated in figures 12 - 14 where the retainer bore 13 partially cuts a circumference of the hole 11 . In this embodiment and possibly other embodiments the retainer pin 12 has a narrow section 12B, which is narrower than the rest of the retainer pin, and the connection pin 9 is alongside the narrow section. The bottom end 12C and the top end 12A of the retainer pin are wider. The spring 25 pushes the retainer pin out so that its top end 12A in groove 15 as described above. The connection pin 9 in the hole 11 keeps the retainer pin in the retainer bore 13, since bottom end 12C cannot pass the connection pin 9. Figure 13 shows how the top end 12A is against the end 16 of the groove 15 preventing pulling the cylinder lock totally out of the first hasp member 1.
[0040] The hasp members 1 , 2 are coupled to a door and a door frame, wall or other structure around the door. Therefor the has members have fixing holes and other shapes as can be seen, for example in figures 3 and 4. Since the door’s position may shift in time, the first and second bores may not align easily when closing the door. Therefore, it is practical if the hole 11 is loose fitting with the connection pin 9 allowing the connection pin to cant. Even a relative small canting may provide a huge help when closing and locking the door.
[0041] The connection pin 9 can be attached into the cylinder lock 5A by a ring fastener 18, a fastening screw or a fastening pin. Figure 14 show the ring fastener 18, which has in this example an O profile. The profile can also be another, like a rectangle profile. The connection pin 9 has a circle groove 19 for the ring fastener. The shape of the circle groove depends on the fastener which is used. So for example, for the fastening pin the groove’s bottom is concave. So, the connection pin 9 has a circle groove 19 for the fastening screw or the fastening pin also. The locking cylinder 5A has corresponding surfaces for the fastener in question. The circle groove 19 can also be loose fitting with the ring fastener 18, the fastening screw or the fastening pin, which helps the locking bolt 6 to cant. The invention provides a secure hasp lock arrangement where the locking bolt is rotatable in relation to the hasp members and the cylinder lock. The cylinder lock is asymmetrically aligned with the bores 7A, 7B, and it provides an obstacle to manipulate the locking bolt through the third bore 14. Further, the locking bolt can be arranged to cant in relation to the cylinder lock 5A, which, in some cases, may help to close a door and to lock the hasp lock arrangement.
[0042] The figures show also other features, like fixing screws 26 at the inner end 10, an outer end 5B of the lock cylinder 5A, a gasket 27. These features and the other features said above may be realized in other ways. So, other kind of embodiments of the invention can be made, which differ from the examples described in this text.
[0043] Therefore, it is evident from the above that the invention is not limited to the embodiments described in this text but can be implemented in many other different embodiments within the scope of the independent claims.
