[0005] According to some embodiments, as discussed herein, the present disclosure provides a speaker attachment assembly designed to simplify installation, adjustment, and removal of speakers or similar objects within a wall or ceiling surface. In some embodiments, the assembly includes a mounting guide shell, top and back plates, a screw, retaining clip, toggle leg, spring, and pivot. These components cooperate to form a two-part system consisting of a mounting frame and a retainer, allowing the speaker enclosure to be securely fastened while also supporting straightforward disengagement when needed. In some embodiments, the assembly is compatible with various geometries and can be molded or fabricated in different forms to accommodate diverse installation environments.

11. The method of claim 10, further comprising audibly confirming engagement when the toggle leg ejects inside the surface cavity.

12. The method of claim 10, wherein removal of the enclosure comprises counterrotating the screw until the toggle leg folds into the enclosure.

13. The method of claim 10, wherein removal further comprises disengaging the toggle leg from the screw threads such that the screw rotates freely without further driving the toggle leg.

14. The method of claim 10, wherein the step of mounting is performed by a single person using a single tool.
