By using a disc-type air jet mill and a PLC system for automated control, the particle size limitation and classifier blockage problems in the preparation of ultrafine particles by fluidized bed air jet mills have been solved, achieving efficient preparation of ultrafine particles and improving production efficiency and particle uniformity.

Abstract
The present application provides a system and method for preparing ultrafine particles. The system comprises: a gas source distributor, a raw material bin, a feeding device, a disc-type jet mill, and a programmable logic controller system. During operation, the programmable logic controller system is configured to: control the feeding device to deliver raw materials from the raw material bin into the disc-type jet mill at a feed rate of 100-200 kg / h, and control the pulverization air pressure of pulverizing nozzles of the disc-type jet mill to 7-15 kg; and monitor the pulverization air pressure of the pulverizing nozzles of the disc-type jet mill and automatically adjust the feed rate on the basis of the pulverization air pressure of the pulverizing nozzles of the disc-type jet mill. The present application enables preparation of ultrafine asphalt particles having a particle size of less than 2 µm.
