Description

RADIO FREQUENCY ANTENNAS, MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING SYSTEMS, AND SCAN CONTROL METHODS THEREOFCROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

[0001] This application claims priority to Chinese Patent Application No. 202411679978.5, filed on November 21, 2024, the contents of which are hereby incorporated by reference.TECHNICAL FIELD

[0002] The present disclosure relates to the field of magnetic resonance imaging technology, and in particular, to a radio frequency antenna, a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system, and a scan control method thereof.BACKGROUND

[0003] The basic principle of MRI is as follows: under the influence of an external magnetic field, certain spinning protons (such as hydrogen protons in the human body) experience an increase in their precession angle when subjected to a brief radio frequency (RF) pulse. After the RF excitation ceases, these protons gradually return to their original equilibrium state while simultaneously emitting RF signals at the same frequency as the excitation pulse. This physical phenomenon is known as nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) . MRI systems are based on this principle. By superimposing a pulsed gradient magnetic field on the main magnetic field, nuclei at specific positions within the human body can be selectively excited. The MRI system then receives the NMR signals emitted by these nuclei, and a computer performs a Fourier transform to encode the signals in both frequency and phase domains, thereby reconstructing a complete magnetic resonance image.

[0004] An MRI g system often involves detection of nuclei such as hydrogen nuclei, xenon nuclei, carbon nuclei, or phosphorus nuclei. In the existing technology, various detections are typically performed separately. As a result, when performing an inspection for a specific type of nuclei, coils used for detecting hydrogen, xenon, carbon, or phosphorus may be disassembled from the MRI scanner and replaced with the corresponding detection coils, leading to increased complexity of operations.

[0005] Therefore, there is a need to provide a radio frequency antenna for a magnetic resonance imaging system that meets the requirement for switching between scanning of different nuclei.SUMMARY

[0027] To make the above objects, features, and advantages of the present disclosure more apparent and easier to understand, the detailed description of the specific embodiments of the present disclosure is provided below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. In the following description, numerous specific details are set forth to facilitate a full understanding of the present disclosure. However, the present disclosure can be implemented in many other ways different from those described herein. Those skilled in the art can make similar improvements without departing from the connotation of the present disclosure. Therefore, the present disclosure is not limited by the specific embodiments disclosed below.

[0028] In the description of the present disclosure, it should be understood that if terms such as “center” , “longitudinal” , “transverse” , “length” , “width” , “thickness” , “upper” , “lower” , “front” , “rear” , “left” , “right” , “vertical” , “horizontal” , “top” , “bottom” , “inner” , “outer” , “clockwise” , “counterclockwise” , “axial” , “radial” , “circumferential” , etc. appear, these terms indicate orientations or positional relationships based on the orientations or positional relationships shown in the accompanying drawings. The terms are merely for convenience in describing the present disclosure and simplifying the description, rather than indicating or implying that the referred apparatus or element must have a specific orientation or be constructed and operated in a specific orientation. Therefore, the terms should not be construed as limitations on the present disclosure.

[0029] Furthermore, if terms such as “first” , “second” appear, these terms are for descriptive purposes only and cannot be understood as indicating or implying relative importance or implicitly specifying the quantity of the indicated technical features. Thus, features defined with “first” , “second” explicitly or implicitly include at least one such feature. In the description of the present disclosure, the term “aplurality of” refers to two or more (e.g., two, three, etc. ) , unless otherwise specifically defined.

[0030] In the present disclosure, unless explicitly specified and limited otherwise, if terms such as “install” , “connect” , “link” , “fix” , etc. appear, these terms should be understood broadly. For example, it can be a fixed connection, a detachable connection, or an integral connection. For example, it can be a mechanical connection, an electrical connection, a direct connection, or an indirect connection through an intermediate medium. For example, it can be the internal communication between two elements or the interaction relationship between two elements, unless explicitly limited otherwise. For those of ordinary skill in the art, the specific meanings of the above terms in the present disclosure can be understood based on the specific circumstances.

[0031] In the present disclosure, unless explicitly specified and limited otherwise, when a first feature is described as being “on” , “under” , or the like relative to a second feature, the meaning can be that the first feature and the second feature are in direct contact, or that the first feature and the second feature are in indirect contact through an intermediate medium. Moreover, the expressions that a first feature is “above” , “over” , or “on top of” a second feature may indicate that the first feature is located directly above or obliquely above the second feature, or merely that the first feature is at a higher level than the second feature. The expressions that a first feature is “under” , “below” , or “beneath” the second feature may indicate that the first feature is located directly below or obliquely below the second feature, or merely indicate that the horizontal height of the first feature is less than that of the second feature.

[0032] It should be noted that if an element is referred to as being “fixed to” or “disposed on” another element, it may be directly on the other element or indirectly on the other element with one or more intervening elements therebetween. If an element is referred to as being “connected” to another element, it may be directly connected to the other element or indirectly connected thereto through one or more intervening elements. If present, terms such as “vertical” , “horizontal” , “upper” , “lower” , “left” , “right” , and similar expressions used in the present disclosure are for illustrative purposes only and do not indicate the only implementation.

[0033] In some embodiments, detection of each type of nuclei is performed separately, resulting in coils used for detecting hydrogen nuclei, xenon nuclei, carbon nuclei, or phosphorus nuclei having to be removed from a magnetic resonance imaging scanner when performing a single examination and replaced with corresponding coils, thereby increasing the complexity of the scanning operation.

[0034] Additionally, the current radio frequency antenna has a limited number of signal receive channels and a low signal-to-noise ratio, which cannot meet the high-definition imaging requirements for both nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI and nucleus used for single-nuclear MRI (hydrogen nuclei) , thereby restricting clinical applications.

[0035] The position of the radio frequency antenna in a magnetic resonance imaging system is usually fixed, and it can only scan a single portion of a subject, which results in the magnetic resonance imaging system being unable to cover various scanning scenarios and having low applicability. For example, a multi-nuclear head coil is only used for multi-nuclear scanning of the head, a multi-nuclear knee coil is only used for multi-nuclear scanning of the knee, and a multi-nuclear lower limb coil is only used for multi-nuclear scanning of the lower limb.

[0036] In other embodiments of the present disclosure, the radio frequency antenna is also referred to as a magnetic resonance RF coil structure.

[0037] Based on this, some embodiments of the present disclosure provide a radio frequency antenna for a magnetic resonance imaging system, a magnetic resonance imaging system, and a scan control method for a magnetic resonance imaging system, which can reduce the complexity of operations. The radio frequency antenna provided by some embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

[0038] The radio frequency antenna refers to a device configured to obtain magnetic resonance signals (or referred to as magnetic resonance relaxation signals) . In some embodiments, the magnetic resonance signals are electromagnetic waves generated from a sample (e.g., a scanning region of a subject) . The intensity of the magnetic resonance signal is related to relaxation time (e.g., T1, T2) , proton density, blood or cerebrospinal fluid flow, chemical shift, and magnetic susceptibility, which plays an important role in image contrast, thereby reflecting the internal structure of the sample. For example, magnetic resonance signals generated by human tissues reflect the internal structure of the human body.

[0039] FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram illustrating an exemplary radio frequency antenna for a magnetic resonance imaging system according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram illustrating an exemplary radio frequency antenna for a magnetic resonance imaging system according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0040] In some embodiments, referring to FIG. 1 to FIG. 2, a radio frequency antenna 100 for a magnetic resonance imaging system includes a first coil assembly 110 and a second coil assembly 120. The first coil assembly 110 and the second coil assembly 120 are disposed on a support structure 200. The first coil assembly 110 includes a first device 111 for transmitting radio frequency excitation signals (e.g., an RF excitation pulse) to excite first nuclei and a second device 112 for receiving magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the first nuclei. The second coil assembly 120 includes a third device 121 for receiving magnetic resonance (MR) relaxation signals of second nuclei different from the first nuclei.

[0041] Under an external main magnetic field (e.g., a magnetic field generated by the main magnet 530 of the magnetic resonance imaging system in the following description) , the protons align their spins along the direction of the main magnetic field, forming a macroscopic magnetic vector and precessing around the direction of the main magnetic field at the Larmor frequency. An RF excitation pulse with a frequency matching the Larmor frequency is emitted to cause the protons to absorb energy, causing the macroscopic magnetic vector to deviate from the longitudinal direction and generating a transverse magneticization component. After the RF excitation pulse stops, the transverse magneticization gradually decays, generating an alternating electromagnetic field, which is captured by the receiving coil as MR relaxation signals. Excitation of first nuclei (or excitation of the spin of first nuclei) refers to emitting an RF excitation pulse with a frequency matching the Larmor frequency of the first nuclei to generate MR relaxation signals of the first nuclei. Excitation of second nuclei (or excitation of the spin of second nuclei) refers to emitting an RF excitation pulse with a frequency matching the Larmor frequency of the second nuclei to generate MR relaxation signals of the second nuclei.

[0042] The first coil assembly 110 refers to a group of coils in the radio frequency antenna 100 that is configured to excite the first nuclei and receive magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the first nuclei.

[0043] The first device 111 refers to a functional unit in the first coil assembly 110 that is configured to transmit radio frequency excitation signals to excite the first nuclei. For example, the first device 111 includes one or more coils for transmitting a radio frequency excitation pulse at a specific resonant frequency (matching the Larmor frequency of the first nuclei) to excite the first nuclei.

[0044] The second device 112 refers to a functional unit in the first coil assembly 110 that is configured to receive magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the first nuclei. For example, the second device 112 includes one or more coils for receiving the magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the first nuclei.

[0045] The second coil assembly 120 refers to a group of coils in the radio frequency antenna 100 that is configured to receive magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the second nuclei.

[0046] The third device 121 refers to a functional unit in the second coil assembly 120 that is configured to receive the magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the second nuclei. For example, the third device 121 includes one or more coils for receiving the magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the second nuclei.

[0047] In some embodiments, the first nuclei include at least one of xenon nuclei (129Xe) , sodium nuclei (23Na) , carbon nuclei (13C) , fluorine nuclei (19F) , or phosphorus nuclei (31P) . The second nuclei include hydrogen nuclei (1H) . In other embodiments of the present disclosure, the first nuclei are also referred to as nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI, and the second nuclei (i.e., the hydrogen nuclei) are also referred to as nuclei used for single-nuclear MRI.

[0048] The support structure 200 refers to a structure for supporting and fixing the radio frequency antenna 100. For example, as described below, the support structure 200 includes a housing 210 provided on a scan bed of the magnetic resonance imaging system.

[0049] In some embodiments, the support structure 200 and the radio frequency antenna 100 are independent structures. The radio frequency antenna 100 is detachably provided on the support structure 200. For example, the support structure 200 and the radio frequency antenna 100 can be part of the magnetic resonance imaging system (e.g., a magnetic resonance imaging system 500 described below) , where the support structure 200 supports and fixes the radio frequency antenna 100. In some embodiments, the support structure 200 can be part of the radio frequency antenna 100. For example, the support structure 200 refers to a structure in a radio frequency antenna 400 for supporting the first coil assembly 110 and the second coil assembly 120.

[0050] Detailed descriptions of the support structure and the scan bed can be found in the description below.

[0051] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, by integrating the first coil assembly 110 and the second coil assembly 120 on the same support structure, signals of nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI and nucleus used for single-nuclear MRI can be acquired, thereby effectively improving system integration. By acquiring signals of multi-nuclear MRI and single-nuclear MRI through the first coil assembly 110 and the second coil assembly 120, respectively, independent operation of multi-nuclear scanning and single-nuclear scanning can be achieved, facilitating flexible switching between different nuclear scanning modes.

[0052] In some embodiments, the first device 111 includes a first transmit coil 1111, the second device 112 includes a first receive coil 1121 and a second receive coil 1122, and the first receive coil 1121 is connected to the second receive coil 1122.

[0053] The first transmit coil 1111 refers to a coil in the first device 111 for transmitting the radio frequency excitation signals to excite the first nuclei. For example, the first transmit coil 1111 transmits a radio frequency pulse at a specific resonant frequency (matching the Larmor frequency of xenon nuclei) to excite xenon nuclei in a subject 300.

[0054] The first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122 refer to coils in the first device 111 that are configured to receive the magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the first nuclei. For example, the first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122 are configured to receive magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the xenon nuclei at a specific resonant frequency (same as the frequency of the RF excitation pulse for the first nuclei) .

[0055] The first receive coil 1121 being connected to the second receive coil 1122 refers to the first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122 are electrically connected. For example, the first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122 are directly electrically connected (e.g., via a cable, an interface, or a circuit connection) . As another example, the first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122 are connected to the magnetic resonance imaging system, respectively, and are electrically connected via the magnetic resonance imaging system. After the first receive coil 1121 is electrically connected to the second receive coil 1122, the first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122 can cooperate to fully acquire the magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the first nuclei over a larger area surrounding the subject 300, thereby improving the imaging effect.

[0056] FIG. 3 is a schematic diagram illustrating an exemplary tuning circuit according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0057] In some embodiments, a wiring terminal of the first coil assembly 110 is connected to a plurality of tuning circuits. Each type of nuclei of the first nuclei corresponds to a corresponding tuning circuit. When scanning for a specific type of nuclei of the first nuclei is required, a tuning circuit corresponding to the type of nuclei of the first nuclei is adjusted to an operating frequency, and tuning circuits corresponding to other types of nuclei are adjusted to a detuned state, thereby reducing unnecessary signal interference. Then, scanning signals of the corresponding type of nuclei are received by the second device 112 in the first coil assembly 110. By changing the resonant frequency of the tuning circuits corresponding to different types of nuclei, the second device 112 may receive signals of the different types of nuclei. For example, in the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, the first coil assembly 110 includes the first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122. Correspondingly, the first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122 are each connected to a tuning circuit, and the first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122 cooperate to receive magnetic resonance signals of a corresponding type of nuclei.

[0058] In some embodiments, the principle of the tuning circuit is as shown in FIG. 3. The tuning circuit includes an active detuning (AD) circuit 113 and a passive detuning (PD) circuit 114. The active detuning circuit 113 is used for primary control of detuning regulation, while the passive detuning circuit 114 is used for secondary control of detuning regulation, which detunes a coil corresponding to a specific type of nuclei when the active detuning circuit 113 fails.

[0059] A capacitor C1 and a capacitor C2 are connected in parallel to form parallel matching capacitors. A capacitor C5 is a direct current-blocking capacitor. The capacitor C1 and the capacitor C2 are both connected to a coil port A of receive coils of the first coil assembly 110 or the second coil assembly 120. The capacitor C5 is connected to a coil port B of the receive coils of the first coil assembly 110 or the second coil assembly 120. A matching circuit formed by the capacitor C1 and the capacitor C2 is connected to the capacitor C5 via the active detuning circuit 113.

[0060] The active detuning circuit 113 includes a capacitor C3 and a capacitor C4 connected in series, and a diode D1 and an inductor L1 connected in series. A cathode of the diode D1 is connected to one end of the capacitor C3, and an anode of the diode D1 is connected to one end of the inductor L1. The inductor L1 is connected to one end of the capacitor C4.

[0061] The passive detuning circuit 114 includes a diode D3, a diode D4 connected in anti-parallel with the diode D3, and a capacitor C8. One end of the capacitor C8 is connected in series with both the diode D3 and the diode D4, and the other end of the capacitor C8 is connected to the anode of the diode D1. A cathode of the diode D3 is connected to the cathode of the diode D1.

[0062] The active detuning circuit 113 controls the conduction of the diode D1 by applying a direct current (DC) signal to one end of the inductor L2. When the diode D1 is turned on, the capacitor C3, the capacitor C4, and the inductor L1 form a parallel resonant loop, which is equivalent to a high-impedance state. At this time, at an operating frequency of the magnetic resonance imaging system (i.e., a specific resonant frequency corresponding to a certain type of nuclei) , a sampling coil corresponding to a certain type of nuclei is effectively disconnected.

[0063] The passive detuning circuit 114 controls the conduction of the diode D3 and the diode D4 via radio frequency excitation signals. When the active detuning fails, the sampling coil may sense a strong signal from the radio frequency field and generate an alternating current on the coil. This current passes through the capacitors C1 and C2 that form the parallel matching capacitors, causing the two oppositely oriented diodes to conduct. The capacitor C3, the capacitor C4, and the inductor L1 form a parallel resonant loop, which is equivalent to a high-impedance state. At this time, at the operating frequency of the magnetic resonance imaging system, the sampling coil is effectively disconnected. In this embodiment, a conduction voltage of D1 is much greater than conduction voltages of D3 and D4.

[0064] In some embodiments, a control circuit of the present disclosure further includes a preamplifier protection circuit 115. The preamplifier protection circuit 115 includes a diode D2, a capacitor C7, a resistor R1, and a capacitor C6 to prevent damage to the receive coils of the first coil assembly 110 or the second coil assembly 120 due to excessive current.

[0065] It can be understood that a wiring terminal of the second coil assembly 120 is also connected to a tuning circuit. When the second coil assembly 120 includes a third receive coil and a fourth receive coil, the third receive coil and the fourth receive coil are each connected to a tuning circuit, thereby cooperating to receive magnetic resonance signals of hydrogen nuclei. The principle and structure of the tuning circuit can be referred to the foregoing description, and details are not repeated herein. Detailed descriptions of the third receive coil and the fourth receive coil can be found in the following descriptions.

[0066] FIG. 4 is a schematic diagram illustrating an exemplary decoupling circuit according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0067] In some embodiments, a wiring terminal of the first coil assembly 110 is connected to a decoupling circuit 116. The decoupling circuit 116 can reduce the influence of other types of nuclei on signals of target nuclei (the nuclei to be excited) , ensuring signal purity. Each receive coil in the first coil assembly 110 may be connected to the decoupling circuit 116 to reduce the influence of signals of hydrogen nuclei on signals of nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI (e.g., reduce the influence of signals of the second nuclei on signals of the first nuclei) . In some embodiments, a schematic diagram of the decoupling circuit 116 is shown in FIG. 4. As shown in FIG. 4, C denotes a frequency-tuning capacitor for controlling receive channels of nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI and is connected in series with a suitable inductor L1. At a frequency corresponding to hydrogen nuclei, the capacitive reactance of the capacitor C partially cancels the inductive reactance, resulting in the L1-C series circuit exhibiting an overall inductive behavior. When the series circuit is connected in parallel with the capacitor C1, a high impedance is formed at the frequency corresponding to hydrogen nuclei, which suppresses coupling at the frequency corresponding to hydrogen nuclei while ensuring that the frequency tuning of the receive units of nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI is not affected.

[0068] In some embodiments, the second coil assembly 120 is a coil assembly for reception only, while a transmit function can be performed by a body transmit coil of the magnetic resonance imaging system. Merely by way of example, during scanning, hydrogen nuclei scanning can be performed first. During hydrogen nuclei scanning, the entire first coil assembly 110 is in a detuned state, and the second coil assembly 120 is in a tuned state. During multi-nuclear scanning, the body transmit coil of the magnetic resonance imaging system is not operating, the second coil assembly 120 is in a detuned state, and the first coil assembly 110 is in a tuned state. The coupling influence between the hydrogen nuclei scanning and the multi-nuclear scanning is reduced through the hydrogen nuclei scanning and the multi-nuclear scanning operating at different times. Detailed descriptions of the magnetic resonance imaging system and a scan control method can be found in FIG. 10 to FIG. 12 and the related descriptions thereof.

[0069] FIG. 5 is a schematic diagram illustrating an exemplary control circuit of a radio frequency antenna according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0070] It can be understood that functional members for receiving signals in the first coil assembly 110 and the second coil assembly 120 may be independent, but the structure and operating principle of the control circuit inside each functional member for receiving signals can be the same. As shown in FIG. 5, the control circuit may be applied to the first coil assembly 110 or to the second coil assembly 120. Taking the application to the first coil assembly 110 as an example, during magnetic resonance scanning, the first coil assembly 110 transmits signals, and a corresponding tuning circuit is in a tuned state. In the first coil assembly 110, a functional member for receiving signals (i.e., a receive unit) is tuned through the tuning circuit and matched with a low-noise amplifier (LNA, or preamplifier) to amplify received signals. The amplified received signals subsequently pass through a cable trap that suppresses common-mode current, and are then transmitted to a receive end for processing.

[0071] In some embodiments, the first transmit coil 1111 includes a plurality of transmit sub-coils for exciting different types of nuclei of first nuclei. The first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122 include a plurality of receive sub-coils for receiving magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the different types of nuclei of the first nuclei. Operating frequencies, transmission directions, etc., of the plurality of transmit sub-coils are different. Operating frequencies, reception directions, etc., of the plurality of receive sub-coils are different. When a transmit sub-coil corresponding to a certain type of nuclei of the first nuclei is operating, transmit sub-coils corresponding to other types of nuclei of the first nuclei stop operating. When a receive sub-coil corresponding to a certain type of nuclei of the first nuclei is operating, receive sub-coils corresponding to other types of nuclei of the first nuclei stop operating.

[0072] Merely by way of example, the first transmit coil 1111 includes a first transmit sub-coil and a second transmit sub-coil. The first transmit sub-coil excites xenon nuclei, and the second transmit sub-coil excites sodium nuclei. The first receive coil 1121 includes a first receive sub-coil and a second receive sub-coil. The second receive coil 1122 includes a third receive sub-coil and a fourth receive sub-coil. The first receive sub-coil and the third receive sub-coil receive magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the xenon nuclei. The second receive sub-coil and the fourth receive sub-coil receive magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the sodium nuclei. During scanning of the xenon nuclei, the first transmit sub-coil operates, and the second transmit sub-coil stops operating; the first receive sub-coil and the third receive sub-coil operate, and the second receive sub-coil and the fourth receive sub-coil stop operating. During scanning of the sodium nuclei, the second transmit sub-coil operates, and the first transmit sub-coil stops operation; the first receive sub-coil and the third receive sub-coil stop operating, and the second receive sub-coil and the fourth receive sub-coil operate.

[0073] In some embodiments, an operator may select a specific type of nuclei of the first nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI in a magnetic resonance imaging system, or a processing device of the magnetic resonance imaging system may automatically select a specific type of nuclei of the first nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI within the system, so as to choose corresponding transmit coils and receive coils for operation.

[0074] In some embodiments, the first transmit coil 1111 and the first receive coil 1121 are provided at a first side of the subject 300, the second receive coil 1122 is provided at a second side of the subject 300, and the first side and the second side are opposite to each other.

[0075] The subject 300 refers to a subject that undergoes magnetic resonance scanning. For example, the subject 300 is a human body, an animal, or a plant. As another example, the subject 300 is a part of a human body, an animal, or a plant.

[0076] In one embodiment, the subject 300 is a human tissue to be scanned. In another embodiment, the subject 300 is an animal tissue to be scanned. In another embodiment, the subject 300 is a plant tissue to be scanned. When the subject 300 is a human tissue to be scanned, a site scanned by the magnetic resonance imaging system may be a tissue part of a human body, such as a head, a brain, limbs, an abdomen, a spine, a neck, a thoracic cavity, etc., or may be a human organ, such as a heart, a kidney, a lower limb, a bladder, etc.

[0077] The first side and the second side of the subject 300 refer to opposite sides of the subject 300. For example, the first side and the second side are a left side and a right side of the subject 300 (e.g., a patient) , a front side and a back side of the subject 300 along a chest-back direction of the subject 300, or an upper side and a lower side of the subject 300 along a head-foot direction of the subject 300.

[0078] As shown in FIG. 7, in the MRI system, the X axis, the Y axis, and the Z axis shown in FIG. 7 may form an orthogonal coordinate system. The X axis and the Z axis shown in FIG. 7 may be horizontal, and the Y axis may be vertical. As illustrated, the positive Z direction along the Z axis may be from the left side to the right side of the scanner 510 seen from the direction facing the front of the scanner 510; the positive Y direction along the Y axis shown in FIG. 7 may be from the lower part to the upper part of the scanner 510 (e.g., the negative Y direction may be along the gravity direction) ; the positive X direction along the X axis shown in FIG. 7 may refer to a direction in which the subject is moved into the scanning channel (or referred to as the bore) of the scanner 510. When the subject 300 is lying on the scan bed, the Z axis is substantially along the left-right direction of the subject 300, and the X axis is substantially along the head-foot direction of the subject 300.

[0079] Merely by way of example, the first side and the second side are a front side and a back side of the subject 300 along a chest-back direction of the subject 300. For example, when the subject 300 is lying on the scan bed, the first transmit coil 1111 and the first receive coil 1121 are disposed below the subject 300 (e.g., located at the back side of the subject 300 if the subject 300 lies on his / her back, or located at the chest side of the subject 300 if the subject 300 is lying prostrate) , e.g., closer to the scan bed along the gravity direction (e.g., the Y axis in FIG. 7) , and the second receive coil 1122 are disposed above the subject 300 (e.g., located at the chest side of the subject 300 if the subject 300 lies on his / her back, or located at the back side of the subject 300 if the subject 300 is lying prostrate) , e.g., far away from the scan bed along the gravity direction (e.g., the Y axis in FIG. 7) .

[0080] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, by providing the first transmit coil 1111 below the subject 300, the structural weight above the subject 300 can be reduced, and the layout is more reasonable. In addition, by cooperating the first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122 to surround the subject 300, signals can be received fully and completely to obtain a magnetic resonance image with higher quality and more complete information.

[0081] In some embodiments, the first receive coil 1121 is closer to the subject 300 than the first transmit coil 1111. An average distance between the first receive coil 1121 and the subject 300 is defined as a first distance. An average distance between the first transmit coil 1111 and the subject 300 is defined as a second distance. The average distance refers to an average value of distances between a plurality of positions on a coil and a preset position of the subject 300 (e.g., a head of the subject 300, a lesion position of the subject 300) . The first receive coil 1121 being closer to the subject 300 than the first transmit coil 1111 refers to that the first distance is smaller than the second distance. In some embodiments, the first receive coil 1121 is located below the subject 300, and the first transmit coil 1111 is located below the first receive coil 1121.

[0082] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, by disposing the first receive coil 1121 at a position closer to the subject 300, a distance between a source of magnetic resonance relaxation signals and a functional member for receiving signals is reduced, thereby improving the sensitivity and the reception effect of the first receive coil 1121. In addition, by disposing the first receive coil 1121 between the first transmit coil 1111 and the subject 300, coupling interference of a radio frequency pulse to a receive coil can be reduced, noise generation can be suppressed, and the signal-to-noise ratio can be effectively improved.

[0083] In some embodiments, the second receive coil 1122 includes a first flexible portion, and the first flexible portion covers and conforms to at least a portion of the subject 300.

[0084] The first flexible portion refers to a portion of the second receive coil 1122 that has a certain degree of softness. Since the second receive coil 1122 is located above the subject 300, the first flexible portion of the second receive coil 1122 may contact the subject 300 due to gravity. A higher degree of conformity between the second receive coil 1122 and the subject 300 results in a better signal reception effect and a better imaging effect.

[0085] In some embodiments, the first flexible portion refers to a flexible coil made of a conductive material (e.g., copper, silver, gold, etc. ) and a flexible substrate (e.g., polyimide, polyester film, etc. ) , and can maintain conductive performance and mechanical integrity under conditions of bending, folding, or twisting. In some embodiments, the first flexible portion refers to a semi-flexible (also referred to as “semi-rigid” ) coil made of a conductive material (e.g., copper, silver, gold, etc. ) and a substrate having a certain flexibility (e.g., polyamide, polyurethane, glass fiber reinforced plastic, etc. ) , and can be bent and twisted to a certain extent while still maintaining a certain structural rigidity and shape stability.

[0086] In some embodiments, the first flexible portion is a portion of the second receive coil 1122, or the second receive coil 1122 is entirely formed by the first flexible portion.

[0087] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, by designing the first flexible portion, the second receive coil 1122 can be conformed to the subject 300 as much as possible, and the distance between the source of magnetic resonance relaxation signals and the functional member for receiving signals is reduced to improve the reception effect. In addition, the first flexible portion can maintain conductive performance and mechanical integrity under conditions of bending, folding, or twisting, thereby improving the practicality of the second receive coil 1122.

[0088] In some embodiments, similar to the second receive coil 1122, the first receive coil 1121 also includes a flexible portion, and a structure and a function of the flexible portion are the same as those of the first flexible portion, which are not repeated herein.

[0089] For example, the first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122 both have a certain capability of flexible deformation. For example, the second receive coil 1122 is a flexible coil entirely formed by the first flexible portion, and the first receive coil 1121 is a flexible coil or a semi-flexible coil entirely formed by the flexible portion. Therefore, when scanning subjects 300 of different body types or different parts of the same subject 300, by adjusting the size of a space enclosed by the first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122, the magnetic resonance imaging system can better adapt to the subject 300 of a corresponding body type, thereby improving the imaging effect.

[0090] In some embodiments, the third device 121 includes a third receive coil 1211 and a fourth receive coil 1212, and the third receive coil 1211 is connected to the fourth receive coil 1212.

[0091] The third receive coil 1211 and the fourth receive coil 1212 refer to coils in the third device 121 that receive magnetic resonance relaxation signals of second nuclei. For example, the third receive coil 1211 and the fourth receive coil 1212 receive magnetic resonance relaxation signals of hydrogen nuclei. After the third receive coil 1211 and the fourth receive coil 1212 are electrically connected, the third receive coil 1211 and the fourth receive coil 1212 can cooperate to fully acquire the magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the second nuclei over a larger area surrounding the subject 300, thereby improving the imaging effect.

[0092] Detailed descriptions of the connection between the third receive coil 1211 and the fourth receive coil 1212 can be found in the related content of the connection between the first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122 described above.

[0093] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, by disposing the third receive coil 1211 and the fourth receive coil 1212 to cooperate to receive complete signals of the hydrogen nuclei, the imaging effect can be improved.

[0094] In some embodiments, the third receive coil 1211 is provided at the first side of the subject 300, the fourth receive coil 1212 is provided at the second side of the subject 300, and the first side and the second side are opposite to each other. Detailed descriptions of the first side and the second side can be found in the content above.

[0095] In some embodiments, the third receive coil 1211 is located below the subject 300, and the fourth receive coil 1212 is located above the subject 300.

[0096] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the third receive coil 1211 and the fourth receive coil 1212 cooperate to surround the subject 300, which can fully and completely receive the magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the hydrogen nuclei, thereby obtaining a magnetic resonance image with higher quality and more complete information.

[0097] In some embodiments, the third device 121 only includes the fourth receive coil 1212 or only includes the third receive coil 1211, i.e., a receive coil for receiving the magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the hydrogen nuclei is only provided at the first side or the second side.

[0098] In some embodiments, the fourth receive coil 1212 includes a second flexible portion, and the second flexible portion covers and conforms to at least a portion of the subject 300.

[0099] The second flexible portion refers to a portion of the fourth receive coil 1212 that has a certain degree of softness. A higher degree of conformity between the fourth receive coil 1212 and the subject 300 results in a better signal reception effect and a better imaging effect.

[0100] In some embodiments, the second flexible portion is a portion of the fourth receive coil 1212, or the fourth receive coil 1212 is entirely formed by the second flexible portion.

[0101] In some embodiments, similar to the fourth receive coil 1212, the third receive coil 1211 also includes a flexible portion, and the structure and function of the flexible portion are the same as those of the second flexible portion.

[0102] The second flexible portion and the first flexible portion have the same or similar structure and function. Detailed descriptions of the second flexible portion can be found in the related description of the first flexible portion.

[0103] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, by providing the second flexible portion, the fourth receive coil 1212 can be conformed to the subject 300 as much as possible, reducing the distance between the source of magnetic resonance relaxation signals and the functional member for receiving signals, thereby improving the reception effect. In addition, the fourth receive coil 1212 including the second flexible portion can still maintain conductive performance and mechanical integrity under conditions of bending, folding, or twisting, thereby improving the practicability of the fourth receive coil 1212.

[0104] The embodiments of the first device 111, the second device 112, and the third device 121 described above can be combined.

[0105] In some embodiments, the first device 111 includes the first transmit coil 1111, the second device 112 includes the first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122, and the first receive coil 1121 is connected to the second receive coil 1122. The third device 121 includes the third receive coil 1211 and the fourth receive coil 1212, and the third receive coil 1211 is connected to the fourth receive coil 1212. Detailed descriptions of the first transmit coil 1111, the first receive coil 1121, the second receive coil 1122, the third receive coil 1211, and the fourth receive coil 1212 can be found in the above description.

[0106] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, by configuring independent coils for the excitation and reception of signals of nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI and the excitation and reception of signals of hydrogen nuclei, respectively, each coil can be independently optimized for a resonant frequency and signal characteristics of its corresponding type of nuclei. Such a specialized design improves the excitation efficiency and reception sensitivity of signals of nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI and signals of hydrogen nuclei while ensuring the performance of general-purpose coils. In addition, since receive channels of signals of nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI and signals of hydrogen nuclei are physically independent and complete, the magnetic resonance imaging system can operate the receive channels at different times through a control circuit (e.g., a tuning circuit) . This operation mechanism can reduce mutual interference between different coils, ensure the image quality, and enable switching of scanning between different nuclei, thereby simplifying the operation process and improving the operation efficiency.

[0107] In some embodiments, the first device 111, the second device 112, and the third device 121 include a plurality of receive channels, respectively. The receive channel refers to a module for capturing, amplifying, and processing magnetic resonance signals. The plurality of receive channels may include a plurality of independent receive channels, which can simultaneously receive a plurality of signals, thereby forming a high-density channel. The high-density channel refers to a signal receive system including a high-density coil unit array and a corresponding count of independent radio frequency channels. Compared with traditional receive channels (e.g., including 8 to 16 receive channels) , the high-density channel usually includes 24 or more receive channels.

[0108] For example, the second device 112 integrates 24 independent receive channels, and the 24 independent receive channels jointly receive signals of nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI. As another example, the third device 121 integrates 48 independent receive channels, and the 48 independent receive channels jointly implement the reception function of signals of hydrogen nuclei.

[0109] Merely by way of example, the first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122 can be switched to different operating frequencies to adapt to resonant frequencies of different types of nuclei, thereby receiving signals of different types of nuclei. Therefore, information about different types of nuclei can be obtained in one scan, thereby providing more comprehensive metabolic and structural information. The first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122 are both internally designed with a plurality of receive channels, e.g., 24 channels. Each receive channel independently receives signals of a specific type of nuclei. By combining the signals, the image quality can be improved, the problem of low signal-to-noise ratio can be mitigated, and high-resolution imaging of different types of nuclei can be achieved.

[0110] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, by integrating more than 24 receive channels in the radio frequency antenna, the sensitivity of the coils and the resolution of the image are improved, the signal-to-noise ratio is improved, and the imaging speed is accelerated. The design of the plurality of receive channels can meet the requirements of high-resolution imaging of signals of nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI, while being compatible with hydrogen nuclei scanning, which avoids the switching between high-definition imaging and clinical use, thereby simplifying the workflow.

[0111] In some embodiments, the first transmit coil 1111, the first receive coil 1121, and the third receive coil 1211 are provided at the first side of the subject 300, the second receive coil 1122 and the fourth receive coil 1212 are provided at the second side of the subject 300, and the first side and the second side are opposite to each other. Detailed descriptions of the first side and the second side can be found in the content above.

[0112] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, through the cooperation of the first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122, and the cooperation of the third receive coil 1211 and the fourth receive coil 1212 to surround the scanning region of the subject 300, signals can be fully and completely received, thereby obtaining a magnetic resonance image with higher quality and more complete information.

[0113] In some embodiments, the first receive coil 1121 is closer to the subject 300 than the third receive coil 1211, and the third receive coil 1211 is closer to the subject 300 than the first transmit coil 1111. The second receive coil 1122 is closer to the subject 300 than the fourth receive coil 1212.

[0114] In some embodiments, the first receive coil 1121 is closer to the subject 300 than the third receive coil 1211, and the third receive coil 1211 is closer to the subject 300 than the first transmit coil 1111. For example, an average distance between the third receive coil 1211 and a preset position of the subject 300 is defined as a third distance, where the first distance < third distance < second distance.

[0115] Merely by way of example, as shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 2, the first receive coil 1121, the third receive coil 1211, and the first transmit coil 1111 are sequentially disposed below the subject 300 from top to bottom.

[0116] The intensity of magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI is weaker than the intensity of magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the hydrogen nuclei. By disposing the first receive coil 1121 closer to the subject 300 compared to the third receive coil 1211, the reception effect of the magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI can be ensured.

[0117] In other embodiments, the third receive coil 1211 is disposed closer to the subject 300 than the first receive coil 1121 according to requirements to improve the reception effect of the magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the hydrogen nuclei.

[0118] In some embodiments, the second receive coil 1122 is closer to the subject 300 than the fourth receive coil 1212. The intensity of the magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI is weaker than the intensity of the magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the hydrogen nuclei. By disposing the second receive coil 1122 closer to the subject 300 compared to the fourth receive coil 1212, the reception effect of the magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI can be ensured. In other embodiments, the fourth receive coil 1212 is disposed closer to the subject 300 than the second receive coil 1122 according to requirements to improve the reception effect of the magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the hydrogen nuclei.

[0119] The embodiments regarding the positional relationships of the various coils can be combined.

[0120] The above design can improve the reception effect of the magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI by coils provided at the first side and the second side of the subject, while ensuring the reception effect of the magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the hydrogen nuclei by the coils provided at the first side and the second side of the subject.

[0121] In some embodiments, the second receive coil 1122 includes the first flexible portion, and the fourth receive coil 1212 includes the second flexible portion. Detailed descriptions of the first flexible portion and the second flexible portion can be found in the content above.

[0122] In some embodiments, the support structure 200 includes the housing 210, and the first coil assembly 110 and the second coil assembly 120 are detachably provided on the housing 210. The housing 210 includes a first component 211 and a second component 212 that are detachably connected. The first component 211 is located opposite to the second component 212. An accommodation cavity 213 for accommodating at least a portion of the subject 300 is formed based on the first component 211 and the second component 212.

[0123] The housing 210 refers to a rigid structure that provides mechanical support, physical protection, and structural positioning for a coil assembly. In some embodiments, in a direction perpendicular to a length direction (e.g., the X axis in FIG. 7) of the housing 210, a cross-sectional (e.g., the Y-Z plane in FIG. 7) shape of the housing 210 is a ring-shaped structure or an approximately ring-shaped structure (e.g., “D” -shaped cage-like structure) . An interior of the ring-shaped structure or the approximately ring-shaped structure encloses to form the accommodation cavity 213. In some embodiments, the length direction of the housing 210 is parallel to a length direction (e.g., the X axis in FIG. 7) of the scan bed of the magnetic resonance imaging system.

[0124] In some embodiments, a shape and size of the housing 210 are adapted to a size of the scan bed and a bore diameter of a scanning bore of a scanner of the magnetic resonance imaging system, so that the housing 210 can enter the scanning bore.

[0125] It should be noted that a rigid structure refers to a structure having a certain ability to resist deformation (i.e., stiffness) . For example, when the elastic modulus of the housing 210 is greater than 1 GPa, the housing 210 can be referred to as a rigid structure. In some embodiments, a material of the housing 210 includes polycarbonate, polyether ether ketone, a composite material, glass fiber reinforced plastic, etc.

[0126] In some embodiments, the first component 211 and the second component 212 are detachably connected, and the first coil assembly 110 and the second coil assembly 120 are detachably provided on the housing 210. Examples of detachable connections include a threaded connection, a snap-fit connection, adhesive bonding, or the like.

[0127] In some embodiments, a coil assembly can be disposed inside the housing 210, and the housing 210 can protect the coil assembly. In some embodiments, the coil assembly is disposed closer to the subject 300 than the housing 210, i.e., the coil assembly is disposed within the accommodation cavity 213, thereby improving the effect of signal transmission and reception of the coil assembly. At the same time, the housing 210 can provide better support and protection.

[0128] The first component 211 and the second component 212 are used to enclose and form a closed ring-shaped structure with a bore. In some embodiments, the first component 211 and the second component 212 are provided with gaps to form a cage-like structure.

[0129] The accommodation cavity 213 refers to a cavity for accommodating at least a portion of the subject 300. The at least a portion of the subject 300 includes a specific to-be-scanned region of the subject 300, such as a head, an abdomen, a foot, etc., of a human body.

[0130] In some embodiments, the first component 211 and the second component 212 have a same or similar shape. For example, in a direction perpendicular to a length direction of the housing 210, cross-sectional shapes of the first component 211 and the second component 212 are substantially arc-shaped, and with the same or similar radian.

[0131] In other embodiments, the first component 211 and the second component 212 have different shapes. For example, in a direction perpendicular to the length direction of the housing 210, a cross-sectional shape of one of the first component 211 and the second component 212 is substantially rectangular, and a cross-sectional shape of the other of the first component 211 or the second component 212 is substantially arc-shaped. A cross-sectional shape of the housing 210 is substantially D-shaped. The housing 210 designed in this way can be stably installed on the scan bed, thereby better adapting to the magnetic resonance imaging system.

[0132] In some embodiments, the first component 211 is located below the second component 212, and the first component 211 is connected to the scan bed. Detailed descriptions of the scan bed can be found in the following content.

[0133] In some embodiments, when the subject 300 is located within the accommodation cavity 213, the first component 211 is located at the first side of the subject 300 (e.g., below the subject 300) , the second component 212 is located at the second side of the subject 300 (e.g., above the subject 300) , and the first component 211 is opposite to the second component 212.

[0134] Referring to FIG. 2, in some embodiments, the housing 210 includes the first component 211 and the second component 212 that is detachably connected to the first component 211. The second component 212 and the first component 211 cooperate to enclose the accommodation cavity 213 for accommodating a to-be-scanned region of the subject 300. By configuring the housing 210 as a detachable structure including the first component 211 and the second component 212, installation of the first coil assembly 110 and the second coil assembly 120 can be facilitated.

[0135] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, by respectively installing the first coil assembly 110 and the second coil assembly 120 on the first component 211 and the second component 212 that are detachably connected, disassembly and installation of the coil assemblies are facilitated.

[0136] In some embodiments, referring to FIG. 2, the second component 212 and the first component 211 are provided with an electrical connector at a joint, thereby enabling electrical connection between one or more coils disposed on the first component 211 and one or more coils disposed on the second component 212. In some embodiments, the first transmit coil 1111 includes a first partial coil and a second partial coil. The first partial coil is disposed on the first component 211, and the second partial coil is disposed on the second component 212. The first partial coil and the second partial coil may be electrically connected via the electrical connector, thereby transmitting excitation signals of nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI to the subject 300.

[0137] In some embodiments, the second component 212 can be removed, and only the first component 211 is used. For example, after the second component 212 is removed, multi-nuclear scanning can be performed individually through the first transmit coil 1111 and the first receive coil 1121 disposed on the first component 211. It can be understood that, in this case, the first transmit coil 1111 does not include the first partial coil and the second partial coil, and the first transmit coil 1111 is entirely disposed on the first component 211. As another example, after the second component 212 is removed, hydrogen nuclei scanning can be performed individually through the third receive coil 1211 disposed on the first component 211. By removing the second component 212, the hydrogen nuclei scanning and the multi-nuclear scanning can be performed independently without performing detuning on the coil assemblies, resulting in strong adaptability and higher flexibility.

[0138] Embodiments of the housing 210 can be combined with the embodiments of the first coil assembly 110 and / or the second coil assembly 120.

[0139] In some embodiments, the first device 111 includes the first transmit coil 1111, the second device 112 includes the first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122, the first transmit coil 1111 is disposed on the first component 211, and the second receive coil 1122 is disposed on the second component 212. The first receive coil 1121 may be disposed on other components (e.g., the scan bed or the scanner of the magnetic resonance imaging system) and is located opposite to the second receive coil 1122 to fully receive signals. The second receive coil 1122 may include the first flexible portion. Detailed descriptions of the first flexible portion can be found in the content above.

[0140] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, by disposing the first transmit coil 1111 and the second receive coil 1122 on the first component 211 and the second component 212, respectively, disassembly and installation of the coil assemblies are facilitated, scanning needs are met, and an imaging effect is improved.

[0141] In some embodiments, the first device 111 includes the first transmit coil 1111, the second device 112 includes the first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122, the first transmit coil 1111 and the first receive coil 1121 are disposed on the first component 211, and the second receive coil 1122 is disposed on the second component 212. The second receive coil 1122 may include the first flexible portion.

[0142] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, by disposing the first transmit coil 1111, the first receive coil 1121, and the second receive coil 1122 on the first component 211 and the second component 212, respectively, disassembly and installation of the coil assemblies are facilitated, scanning needs are met, and an imaging effect is improved.

[0143] In some embodiments, the third device 121 includes the third receive coil 1211 and the fourth receive coil 1212, the third receive coil 1211 is disposed on the first component 211, and the fourth receive coil 1212 is disposed on the second component 212. The fourth receive coil 1212 may include the second flexible portion. Detailed descriptions of the second flexible portion can be found in the content above.

[0144] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, by disposing the third receive coil 1211 and the fourth receive coil 1212 on the first component 211 and the second component 212, respectively, disassembly and installation of the coils are facilitated, scanning needs are met, and an imaging effect is improved.

[0145] In some embodiments, the first device 111 includes the first transmit coil 1111, the second device 112 includes the first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122, and the third device 121 includes the third receive coil 1211 and the fourth receive coil 1212. The first transmit coil 1111 is disposed on the first component 211, and the second receive coil 1122 and the fourth receive coil 1212 are disposed on the second component 212. The first receive coil 1121 may be disposed on other components (e.g., the scan bed or the scanner of the magnetic resonance imaging system) and is located opposite to the second receive coil 1122 to fully receive signals. The third receive coil 1211 may be disposed on other components (e.g., the scan bed or the scanner of the magnetic resonance imaging system) and is located opposite to the fourth receive coil 1212 to fully receive signals.

[0146] In some embodiments, the first device 111 includes the first transmit coil 1111, the second device 112 includes the first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122, and the third device 121 includes the third receive coil 1211 and the fourth receive coil 1212. The first transmit coil 1111 and the first receive coil 1121 are disposed on the first component 211, and the second receive coil 1122 and the fourth receive coil 1212 are disposed on the second component 212. The third receive coil 1211 may be disposed on other components (e.g., the scan bed or the scanner of the magnetic resonance imaging system) and is located opposite to the fourth receive coil 1212 to fully receive signals.

[0147] In some embodiments, the first device 111 includes the first transmit coil 1111, the second device 112 includes the first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122, and the third device 121 includes the third receive coil 1211 and the fourth receive coil 1212. The first transmit coil 1111, the first receive coil 1121, and the third receive coil 1211 are disposed on the first component 211, and the second receive coil 1122 and the fourth receive coil 1212 are disposed on the second component 212.

[0148] In some embodiments, one of the first component 211 and the second component 212 is provided with a limiting member, and the other of the first component 211 or the second component 212 is provided with a mating member, and the limiting member cooperates with the mating member to connect the first component 211 and the second component 212.

[0149] The limiting member and the mating member refer to complementary physical structures that cooperate to achieve alignment, connection, and locking between the first component 211 and the second component 212.

[0150] In some embodiments, the limiting member includes a limiting groove, and the mating member includes a groove wall, and the groove wall is snapped into the limiting groove to connect the first component 211 and the second component 212.

[0151] Merely by way of example, as shown in FIG. 2, a limiting groove 2111 is disposed at an end of the first component 211 facing the second component 212, the second component 212 is snap-fitted into the limiting groove 2111, and the second component 212 abuts against a groove wall of the limiting groove 2111. In other embodiments, the limiting groove 2111 is disposed at an end of the second component 212 facing the first component 211, and the first component 211 abuts against the groove wall of the limiting groove 2111.

[0152] In some embodiments, the limiting member includes a positioning hole, and the mating member includes a positioning protrusion, and the positioning protrusion is inserted into the positioning hole to connect the first component 211 and the second component 212.

[0153] Merely by way of example, as shown in FIG. 2, the first component 211 is provided with a positioning protrusion 2112, the second component 212 is provided with a positioning hole 2113, and by inserting the positioning protrusion 2112 into the positioning hole 2113, connection stability between the second component 212 and the first component 211 is improved.

[0154] In other embodiments, the first component 211 is rotatably connected to the second component 212, for example, connected through a hinge structure implemented by a connecting shaft. During use, the second component 212 may be opened first, so that a to-be-scanned region of the subject 300 may be placed in a space formed between the first component 211 and the second component 212. Then, the second component 212 is closed and engaged with the first component 211.

[0155] Referring to FIG. 2, in some embodiments, the first component 211 is recessed downward to form a support groove, and the support groove serves as a lower bottom wall of the accommodation cavity 213, and the support groove supports the to-be-scanned region of the subject 300. Further, the support groove may be connected to a flexible pad. For example, the flexible pad is adhered or screwed to an upper surface of the support groove. The flexible pad may be made of a flexible material such as silica gel or rubber. Disposing the flexible pad on the upper surface of the support groove 2113 can alleviate the discomfort of the subject 300.

[0156] In some embodiments, the support groove is connected to a heat insulation layer. For example, the heat insulation layer is adhered or screwed to the upper surface of the support groove. Disposing the heat insulation layer can effectively isolate discomfort caused by a heat source to the subject 300. The heat insulation layer may include a wrapping layer and aerogel powder, and the wrapping layer wraps the aerogel powder. The heat insulation layer may also be an aerogel felt, or may be formed by alternately stacking aerogel layers and damping rubber layers, or the like. As one of the lightest solid materials currently available, aerogel has a density as low as 3.5 kg / m3, approximately three times that of air. Owing to its porosity exceeding 95%, it exhibits an extremely low thermal conductivity of about 0.01 W / m·K, and also serves as an ideal sound insulation material. Therefore, the heat insulation layer can not only insulate heat but also serve as a noise reduction layer. While using the heat insulation layer for heat insulation, noise transmitted to an inner cavity of a coil can also be reduced, thereby effectively improving the comfort of the subject 300. In addition, the small density of the aerogel makes the housing 210 more lightweight. Materials used for preparing the aerogel may be inorganic materials, such as silicon dioxide, silicon carbide, etc., or may be organic polymer materials such as polyimide, polymethacrylimide, polyurethane, polyamide, etc.

[0157] It can be understood that the flexible pad and the heat insulation layer may be disposed separately. For example, the flexible pad is disposed above the heat insulation layer, or the heat insulation layer is disposed above the flexible pad. The flexible pad and the heat insulation layer may be an integral structure, which has both flexibility and a heat insulation effect, e.g., a sheet structure made of damping rubber.

[0158] In some embodiments, the radio frequency antenna is configured to slide on a scan bed of the magnetic resonance imaging system along a length direction of the scan bed, and the length direction of the scan bed refers to a direction (e.g., the X direction in FIG. 7) in which the scan bed is moved into or out of a scanning channel of the magnetic resonance imaging system. For example, the support structure is slidably disposed on the scan bed to enable the radio frequency antenna to slide relative to the scan bed. In some embodiments, the radio frequency antenna is configured to support a scanning of different body parts of a human body, e.g., at least two of head, neck, shoulders, chest, arms, abdomen, pelvis, joints, legs, knees, feet, and ankles of a human body. Detailed descriptions can be found in FIG. 8A to FIG. 8B and the related descriptions thereof.

[0159] FIG. 6 is a schematic diagram illustrating an exemplary radio frequency antenna for a magnetic resonance imaging system according to some other embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0160] The present disclosure further provides the radio frequency antenna 400 for a magnetic resonance imaging system. As shown in FIG. 6, the radio frequency antenna 400 for the magnetic resonance imaging system includes: the support structure 200; the first coil assembly 110 disposed on the support structure 200, the first coil assembly 110 including the first device 111 for transmitting radio frequency excitation signals and the second device 112 for receiving magnetic resonance relaxation signals of first nuclei; the second coil assembly 120 disposed on the support structure 200, the second coil assembly 120 including the third device 121 for receiving magnetic resonance relaxation signals of second nuclei different from the first nuclei. The first device 111, the second device 112, and the third device 121 form a layered structure or a multi-level structure on the support structure 200.

[0161] In some embodiments, the first device 111 includes the first transmit coil 1111, the second device 112 includes the first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122, and the first receive coil 1121 is connected to the second receive coil 1122. The third device 121 includes the third receive coil 1211 and the fourth receive coil 1212, and the third receive coil 1211 is connected to the fourth receive coil 1212. Detailed descriptions of the first device 111, the second device 112, and the third device 121 can be found in the content above.

[0162] In some embodiments, each of the first transmit coil 1111, the first receive coil 1121, the second receive coil 1122, the third receive coil 1211, and the fourth receive coil 1212 is a single-layer structure and not stacked along the gravity direction (e.g., the Y axis in FIG. 7) . For example, the first transmit coil 1111 of the first device 111 is arranged along the X axis, the Z axis, and / or the circumferential direction of the scanning bore in a single layer and are not stacked along the Y axis. In this case, the first device 111, the second device 112, and the third device 121 form a layered structure, that is a plurality of single-layer structures are stacked along the Y axis to form a layered structure. For example, the single-layer first transmit coil 1111, the single-layer first receive coil 1121, and the single-layer third receive coil 1211 are stacked along the Y axis at the first side of the subject, and the single-layer second receive coil 1122 and the single-layer fourth receive coil 1212 are stacked along the Y axis at the second side of the subject.

[0163] In some embodiments, each of the first transmit coil 1111, the first receive coil 1121, the second receive coil 1122, the third receive coil 1211, and the fourth receive coil 1212 is a stacked multi-layer structure along the gravity direction (e.g., the Y axis in FIG. 7) . For example, the first transmit coil 1111 of the first device 111 are arranged along the X axis, the Z axis, and / or the circumferential direction of the scanning bore, and are stacked along the Y axis to form a multi-layer structure. In this case, the first device 111, the second device 112, and the third device 121 form a multi-level structure, that is a plurality of multi-layer structures are stacked along the Y axis to form a multi-level structure. For example, the multi-layer first transmit coil 1111, the multi-layer first receive coil 1121, and the multi-layer third receive coil 1211 are stacked along the Y axis at the first side of the subject, and the multi-layer second receive coil 1122 and the multi-layer fourth receive coil 1212 are stacked along the Y axis at the second side of the subject.

[0164] Some embodiments of the present disclosure optimize three-dimensional space utilization of the support structure 200 through the design of the layered structure or the multi-level structure. In addition, the design of the layered structure or the multi-level structure allows coils corresponding to different types of nuclei to be independently optimized within their respective structural layers. The design of the layered structure or the multi-level structure achieves effective electromagnetic decoupling through spatial isolation, significantly reducing coupling interference between a transmit coil and a receive coil. This physical decoupling mechanism, combined with an electronic detuning circuit, provides dual protection for obtaining images with a high signal-to-noise ratio and no artifacts.

[0165] Detailed descriptions of the first coil assembly 110, the second coil assembly 120, and the support structure 200 can be found in the content above.

[0166] It should be noted that the description of the radio frequency antenna 100 or the radio frequency antenna 400 for the magnetic resonance imaging system is for illustrative purposes only and is not intended to limit the scope of the present disclosure. Those skilled in the art can make various changes and modifications within the scope of the content of the present disclosure. Features, structures, methods, and other features of the exemplary embodiments described in the present disclosure can be combined in various ways to obtain additional and / or alternative exemplary embodiments. However, such changes and modifications do not depart from the scope of the present disclosure.

[0167] FIG. 7 is a schematic diagram illustrating a partial view of a magnetic resonance imaging system according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0168] In some embodiments, with reference to FIG. 1 to FIG. 3 and FIG. 6 to FIG. 7, the present disclosure further provides a magnetic resonance imaging system 500 (or referred to as a magnetic resonance system) . The magnetic resonance imaging system 500 includes: a scanner 510 including a body transmit coil 511; a scan bed 520; and a radio frequency antenna movably provided on the scan bed 520. The radio frequency antenna 100 includes: the first coil assembly 110 including the first device 111 for transmitting radio frequency excitation signals and the second device 112 for receiving magnetic resonance relaxation signals of first nuclei; and the second coil assembly 120 including the third device 121 for receiving magnetic resonance relaxation signals of second nuclei different from the first nuclei. The first coil assembly 110 and the second coil assembly 120 are disposed on the support structure 200.

[0169] The scanner 510 is used for magnetic resonance scanning. In some embodiments, the scanner 510 surrounds and forms a scanning bore. The scanner 510 includes the body transmit coil 511. The body transmit coil 511 is configured to excite hydrogen nuclei at a to-be-scanned region of the subject 300.

[0170] The scan bed 520 is configured to carry the subject 300 to move into or out of the scanning bore. The radio frequency antenna 100 is disposed on the scan bed 520 and accommodates a portion of the subject 300.

[0171] During scanning by the magnetic resonance imaging system 500, a coil assembly having a corresponding resonant frequency is selected based on the corresponding requirements, which enables the coil assembly to receive magnetic resonance signals of a corresponding type of nuclei, achieving acquisition of signals of different types of nuclei. Consequently, magnetic resonance images of higher quality and greater comprehensiveness are obtained. In this way, repeated installation and removal of coils is avoided, reducing the complexity of operations and providing greater convenience.

[0172] In some embodiments, the magnetic resonance imaging system 500 further includes a main magnet 530 and a gradient coil 540. The gradient coil 540 is disposed inside the main magnet 530, the body transmit coil 511 is disposed inside the gradient coil 540, and the radio frequency antenna 100 is disposed inside the body transmit coil 511.

[0173] The main magnet 530 includes a superconducting coil and is configured to generate a main magnetic field. In some cases, a permanent magnet is used as the main magnet 530. The main magnet 530 is configured to generate a main magnetic field of 0.2 Tesla, 0.5 Tesla, 1.0 Tesla, 1.5 Tesla, 3.0 Tesla, or higher. During magnetic resonance imaging, the subject 300 is carried by the scan bed 520. As the scan bed 520 moves, the subject 300 is moved into an imaging space with a relatively uniform magnetic field distribution. The body transmit coil 511 and the gradient coil 540 are disposed between the housing 210 and the main magnet 530.

[0174] In some embodiments, the support structure 200 includes the housing 210 that defines the accommodation cavity 213 for accommodating at least a portion of the subject 300. The first coil assembly 110 and the second coil assembly 120 are detachably provided on the housing 210.

[0175] In some embodiments, the housing 210 supports the body transmit coil 511. The body transmit coil 511 is, for example, a cage-like coil, a simplified cage-like coil, a stripline coil, or a lattice coil. In practical use, the body transmit coil 511 is installed and fixed along the inner wall the scanning bore. The gradient coil 540 is fixed to an outer wall of the body transmit coil 511. The gradient coil 540 includes a gradient support cylinder and saddle-shaped coil units disposed on the gradient support cylinder.

[0176] In some embodiments, a shimming channel (not shown in the figures) is disposed between an inner wall of the gradient coil 540 and the outer wall of the gradient coil 540. Shimming pieces (not shown in the figures) are disposed within the shimming channel. Active shimming is performed on the gradient coil 540 by arranging different shimming pieces. In some embodiments, the shimming channel further includes a cooling pipeline. A low-temperature cooling medium, such as water, flows through the cooling pipeline. Heat dissipation is performed on the shimming pieces or the gradient coil 540 via the cooling pipeline, improving the operational reliability of the magnetic resonance system. In some embodiments, a plurality of shimming channels are disposed at intervals along a circumferential direction of the gradient coil 540. When shimming pieces are disposed within the shimming channels, the plurality of shimming channels provides a high uniformity of the gradient field, which reduces interference from gradient non-uniformity on magnetic resonance signals. Consequently, the clarity of magnetic resonance images is improved, and the accuracy of imaging results is ensured. When cooling pipelines are disposed within the shimming channels, this arrangement enables effective heat dissipation in various regions of the gradient coil 540, thereby achieving more uniform heat dissipation.

[0177] FIG. 8A is a schematic diagram illustrating a perspective view of an exemplary radio frequency antenna disposed on a scan bed according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. FIG. 8B is a schematic diagram illustrating a perspective view of the radio frequency antenna shown in FIG. 8A at another position of the scan bed according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0178] In some embodiments, the housing 210 is slidably connected to the scan bed 520. For example, the housing 210 is slidably connected to the scan bed 520 via a sliding rail, a pulley, or other structures. The housing 210 is movable along a length direction of the scan bed 520. The length direction of the scan bed 520 is represented by an arrow X in FIG. 8A and FIG. 8B. The X axes in FIG. 8A and FIG. 8B are similar to the X axis in FIG. 7.

[0179] Referring to FIG. 8A and FIG. 8B, in some embodiments, the scan bed 520 includes a sliding portion 550. The radio frequency antenna 400 is connected to the sliding portion 550 and is movable along the sliding portion 550. By sliding the radio frequency antenna 400 along the length direction of the scan bed 520, various regions of a human body, such as head, neck, shoulders, chest, arms, abdomen, pelvis, joints, legs, knees, feet, and ankles, are covered, which enables multi-site scanning and enriches application scenarios of the radio frequency antenna 400. For example, the sliding portion 550 is a sliding rail disposed on the scan bed 520. The radio frequency antenna 400 is slidably connected to the sliding rail, thereby achieving scanning of different sites of the human body. Understandably, the sliding rail may be disposed on the housing 210, and the scan bed 520 may be slidably connected to the sliding rail.

[0180] FIG. 9A is a schematic diagram illustrating an exemplary radio frequency antenna in a first application scenario according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. FIG. 9B is a schematic diagram illustrating a radio frequency antenna in a second application scenario according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. FIG. 9C is a schematic diagram illustrating an exemplary radio frequency antenna in a third application scenario according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0181] As shown in FIG. 9A, in one application scenario, the radio frequency antenna 400 slides relative to the scan bed 520 to a middle position of the scan bed 520 and is used for scanning a pelvis. As shown in FIG. 9B, in another application scenario, the radio frequency antenna 400 slides relative to the scan bed 520 to a front-end position of the scan bed 520 and is used for scanning a chest and abdomen. As shown in FIG. 9C, in another application scenario, the radio frequency antenna 400 slides relative to the scan bed 520 to a rear-end position of the scan bed 520 and is used for scanning a knee joint.

[0182] By sliding the radio frequency antenna 400 on the scan bed 520 and stopping at different positions, scanning of different sites of the human body is achieved.

[0183] In some embodiments, relative sliding between the housing 210 and the scan bed 520 is performed manually. For example, an operator directly pushes the housing 210 to move along the length direction of the scan bed 520.

[0184] In some embodiments, the sliding portion 550 includes a drive motor and a processing device. The drive motor is disposed on the scan bed 520. The processing device refers to a processor or a controller of a magnetic resonance imaging system. The drive motor drives a sliding portion to move along a sliding rail, thereby driving the housing 210 to slide relative to the scan bed 520.

[0185] In some embodiments, the processing device controls operation of the drive motor based on an imaging plan, thereby moving the housing 210 to a corresponding position. The imaging plan refers to a collection of magnetic resonance scanning parameters. The imaging plan includes a scanning time, a scanning site, etc.

[0186] Merely by way of example, the processing device controls the housing 210 to move to an initial position based on the imaging plan and performs hydrogen nuclei scanning. The processing device determines a target position based on a scanning result of the hydrogen nuclei scanning. Then the processing device controls the housing 210 to move to the target position and performs multi-nuclear scanning.

[0187] The initial position refers to an approximate position of the housing determined based on a lesion position in the human body. For example, when the lesion position is in the chest and abdomen, the housing needs to be moved to the front-end position shown in FIG. 9B. At this time, the front-end position is the initial position. In some embodiments, the lesion position is input into the processing device by an operator.

[0188] The target position refers to an accurate position of the housing corresponding to the lesion position. For example, when the lesion position is the abdomen, the target position refers to a position of the housing where the abdomen is completely placed in the housing and the lesion is closest to a center of an accommodation cavity of the housing. Placing the housing at the target position can better excite and receive signals, improving imaging effects.

[0189] In some embodiments, the processing device locates the lesion position based on a scanning result of the hydrogen nuclei scanning, thereby determining the target position.

[0190] In some embodiments, after controlling the housing to move to the target position, the processing device performs hydrogen nuclei scanning again and then performs multi-nuclear scanning, thereby improving the accuracy of imaging results.

[0191] It should be noted that the description of the magnetic resonance imaging system 500 provided above is for illustrative purposes only and is not intended to limit the scope of the present disclosure. Those skilled in the art make various changes and modifications within the scope of the content of the present disclosure. Features, structures, methods, and other features of the exemplary embodiments described in the present disclosure are combined in various ways to obtain additional and / or alternative exemplary embodiments. However, such changes and modifications do not depart from the scope of the present disclosure.

[0192] The present disclosure further provides a scanning workflow of the magnetic resonance imaging system 500.

[0193] FIG. 10 is a flowchart illustrating an exemplary scanning workflow of a radio frequency antenna according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0194] It should be noted that the scanning workflow in the present disclosure can be applied to the magnetic resonance imaging system 500 including the radio frequency antenna 100 or the radio frequency antenna 400.

[0195] As shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 2, FIG. 6, and FIG. 10, when a coil used previously (e.g., a spine coil, not shown in the figures) is connected to the scan bed 520, the spine coil is first removed. Then, the first receive coil 1121, the first transmit coil 1111, and the third receive coil 1211 are arranged. Further, the first receive coil 1121, a first partial coil of the first transmit coil 1111, and the third receive coil 1211 are connected to the scan bed 520. A cushion is placed on the scan bed 520, and the subject 300 lies thereon. Then, the second receive coil 1122 and a second partial coil of the first transmit coil 1111 are arranged, and the second receive coil 1122 and the second partial coil of the first transmit coil 1111 are connected to the scan bed 520. Then, the fourth receive coil 1212 is arranged, and the fourth receive coil 1212 is connected to the scan bed 520. Further, two portions of the first coil assembly 110 and / or the second coil assembly 120 located at the first component 211 and the second component 212 are connected correspondingly. For example, the second receive coil 1122 is connected to the first receive coil 1121, and the first partial coil is connected to the second partial coil. As another example, the third receive coil 1211 is connected to the fourth receive coil 1212. Once all connections are completed, a scanning operation can be started.

[0196] When the body transmit coil 511 transmits, a tuning circuit disposed in each of the fourth receive coil 1212 and the third receive coil 1211 in the second coil assembly 120 controls the fourth receive coil 1212 and the third receive coil 1211 to be in a tuned state. A tuning circuit disposed in each of the second receive coil 1122, the first receive coil 1121, and the two partial coils (i.e., the first partial coil and the second partial coil) in the first coil assembly 110 controls the second receive coil 1122, the first receive coil 1121, and the two partial coils to be in a detuned state. When the first transmit coil 1111 transmits, a tuning circuit disposed in each of the second receive coil 1122, the first receive coil 1121, and the two partial coils in the first coil assembly 110 controls the second receive coil 1122, the first receive coil 1121, and the two partial coils to be in a tuned state. A tuning circuit disposed in each of the fourth receive coil 1212 and the third receive coil 1211 in the second coil assembly 120 controls the fourth receive coil 1212 and the third receive coil 1211 to be in a detuned state. In this manner, scanning on a corresponding type of nuclei is performed.

[0197] Detailed descriptions of the radio frequency antenna 100 (or the radio frequency antenna 400) , the first coil assembly 110, the second coil assembly 120, and the support structure 200 (or the housing 210) can be found in the content above.

[0198] FIG. 11 is a flowchart illustrating a scan control method for a magnetic resonance imaging system according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0199] The present disclosure further provides the scan control method for the magnetic resonance imaging system 500. The magnetic resonance imaging system 500 includes the radio frequency antenna 400. The radio frequency antenna 400 includes the first coil assembly 110, including the first device 111 for transmitting radio frequency excitation signals and the second device 112 for receiving magnetic resonance relaxation signals of first nuclei; and the second coil assembly 120, including the third device 121 for receiving magnetic resonance relaxation signals of second nuclei different from the first nuclei. As shown in FIG. 11, the scan control method includes: controlling the body transmit coil 511 to transmit a first radio frequency excitation signal at a first resonant frequency to excite spins of the second nuclei; controlling the first coil assembly 110 to be detuned; controlling the second coil assembly 120 to receive the magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the second nuclei; controlling the first coil assembly 110 to transmit a second radio frequency excitation signal at a second resonant frequency to excite spins of a first type of nuclei of the first nuclei; controlling the second coil assembly 120 to be detuned; and controlling the first coil assembly 110 to receive magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the first type of nuclei. In some embodiments, the scan control method is executed by a processing device described above.

[0200] The first radio frequency excitation signal refers to a radio frequency excitation signal that excites the second nuclei. For example, the first radio frequency excitation signal is a first radio frequency pulse that excites hydrogen nuclei.

[0201] The second radio frequency excitation signal refers to a radio frequency excitation signal that excites the first nuclei. For example, the second radio frequency excitation signal is a second radio frequency pulse that excites sodium nuclei.

[0202] By controlling the body transmit coil 511 to transmit the first radio frequency excitation signal at the first resonant frequency to excite the spins of the second nuclei, controlling the first coil assembly 110 to be detuned, and controlling the second coil assembly 120 to receive the magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the second nuclei, hydrogen nuclei scanning and imaging of a to-be-scanned site of the subject 300 are performed.

[0203] The first type of nuclei refers to one type of nuclei in the first nuclei. For example, the first type of nuclei is sodium nuclei.

[0204] By controlling the first coil assembly 110 to transmit the second radio frequency excitation signal at the second resonant frequency to excite the spins of the first type of nuclei of the first nuclei, controlling the second coil assembly 120 to be detuned, and controlling the first coil assembly 110 to receive the magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the first type of nuclei, imaging and scanning of one type of the first nuclei (e.g., the first type of nuclei, such as sodium nuclei) of a to-be-scanned site of the subject 300 are performed.

[0205] Detailed descriptions of controlling a coil assembly to be detuned and controlling a coil assembly to transmit a radio frequency excitation signal at a specific resonant frequency can be found in descriptions in other embodiments.

[0206] FIG. 12 is a flowchart illustrating a scan control method for a magnetic resonance imaging system according to some other embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0207] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 12, the scan control method further includes: controlling the first coil assembly 110 to transmit a third radio frequency excitation signal at a third resonant frequency to excite spins of a second type of nuclei of first nuclei; controlling the second coil assembly 120 to be detuned; and controlling the first coil assembly 110 to receive magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the second type of nuclei. Imaging and scanning of another type of the first nuclei (e.g., the second type of nuclei, such as xenon nuclei) of a to-be-scanned site of the subject 300 are performed.

[0208] The third radio frequency excitation signal refers to a radio frequency excitation signal that excites the second type of nuclei. For example, the third radio frequency excitation signal is a third radio frequency pulse that excites the second type of nuclei. The first type of nuclei and the second type of nuclei are different nuclei in the first nuclei. For example, the first type of nuclei is sodium nuclei, and the second type of nuclei is xenon nuclei.

[0209] In the embodiments of the present disclosure, during scanning, signals of different types of nuclei can be acquired according to corresponding requirements, thereby obtaining magnetic resonance images with higher quality and more complete information. There is no need to repeatedly install and remove coils, which reduces the complexity of operations and makes the use more convenient.

[0210] In some embodiments, when performing multi-nuclear scanning, the first coil assembly 110 receives signals of the same type of nuclei among nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI (e.g., the first type of nuclei or the second type of nuclei) . When switching a type of nuclei among nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI, an internal circuit needs to be tuned to cause the first coil assembly 110 to transmit different radio frequency pulses at different resonant frequencies to excite different types of nuclei. Merely by way of example, when performing scanning of the first type of nuclei, the first transmit coil 1111 transmits the second radio frequency excitation signal at the second resonant frequency to excite spins of the first type of nuclei. The first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122 jointly receive the magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the first type of nuclei. When performing scanning of the second type of nuclei, the first transmit coil 1111 transmits the third radio frequency excitation signal at the third resonant frequency to excite spins of the second type of nuclei. The first receive coil 1121 and the second receive coil 1122 jointly receive the magnetic resonance relaxation signals of the second type of nuclei.

[0211] Some embodiments of the present disclosure implement excitation and reception of different signals of nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI through tuning. It is possible to switch between scanning of different nuclei among nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI without changing or disassembling the coil assembly, thereby improving the applicability of the coil assembly.

[0212] In some embodiments, the first device 111 of the first coil assembly 110 includes a plurality of transmit portions. Each transmit portion is capable of transmitting different radio frequency pulses at different resonant frequencies to excite different types of nuclei among nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI. The second device 112 of the first coil assembly 110 includes a plurality of receive portions. Each receive portion is capable of receiving magnetic resonance relaxation signals of different types of nuclei among nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI. When switching a type of nuclei among nuclei used for multi-nuclear MRI, a specific transmit portion of the first coil assembly 110 transmits a radio frequency pulse at a specific resonant frequency to excite a specific type of nuclei, and a specific receive portion receives a signal corresponding to the specific type of nuclei at a specific resonant frequency. Thus, cooperation of the plurality of transmit portions of the first device 111 and cooperation of the plurality of receive portions of the second device 112 during multi-nuclear scanning are implemented, thereby enriching application scenarios.

[0213] It should be noted that the description of the scan control method provided above is for illustrative purposes only and is not intended to limit the scope of the present disclosure.

[0214] The technical features of the above-described embodiments can be combined arbitrarily. For the sake of brevity, not all possible combinations of the technical features in the above embodiments are described. However, as long as there is no contradiction in the combination of these technical features, the combination should be considered as falling within the scope recorded in the present disclosure.

[0215] The above-described embodiments only represent several implementations of the present disclosure. The description thereof is relatively specific and detailed, but should not be construed as limiting the scope of the patent application. It should be noted that, for those of ordinary skill in the art, without departing from the concept of the present disclosure, several variations and improvements can be made, and these all fall within the protection scope of the present application. Therefore, the protection scope of the patent of the present disclosure should be subject to the appended claims.
