Abstract
Protocol data storage units (11511, 11512, 11513, 11514) store protocol data for protocol conversion between a first protocol used for communication with a controller having the function of managing a terminal device and a second protocol used for communication with the terminal device. First protocol conversion units (11502, 11503) reference the protocol data storage units, and thereby convert a downlink message based on the first protocol received from the controller side into a message based on the second protocol and output the converted message. Second protocol conversion units (11506, 11507) reference the protocol data storage units, and thereby convert an uplink message based on the second protocol received from the terminal device side into a message based on the first protocol and output the converted message. The protocol conversion device selects one protocol from among a plurality of types of protocols for at least one of the first protocol and the second protocol, and performs protocol conversion between the first protocol and the second protocol.
