[Solution] According to one embodiment of the present invention, provided is a self-propelled overhead wire traveling machine for maintaining or inspecting an overhead wire, the overhead wire traveling machine comprising a main body part, wherein: the main body part has a motor, a rotating body, and a cutting part; the motor is configured so as to apply rotational power to the rotating body; the rotating body is configured so as to rotate in contact with the overhead wire, thereby causing the overhead wire traveling machine to travel on the overhead wire; and the cutting part is configured so as to cut an object attached to the overhead wire in the process of the overhead wire travelling machine traveling on the overhead wire.
