Abstract

With this invention it is possible to reduce the possibility of a side surface of an insulating part being damaged. This airtight terminal comprises a first hollow member and a partition member provided with an insulating part that contains a ceramic material. The space inside the first hollow member has a first space adjacent to a first main surface and a second space adjacent to a second main surface, and the first space is partitioned apart from the second space by the partition member. When the airtight terminal is attached to a pressure container, the first space communicates with an external space of the pressure container, the second space communicates with an internal space of the pressure container, and the pressure in the internal space of the pressure container is applied to at least a part of a side surface of the insulating part.

Claims

1. An airtight terminal to be attached to a pressure vessel, comprising: a first hollow member; and a partition member located in the space inside the first hollow member, wherein the partition member comprises an insulating portion including a ceramic material, the insulating portion having a first main surface, a second main surface, and a side surface connected to the first and second main surfaces, the space inside the first hollow member having a first space adjacent to the first main surface and a second space adjacent to the second main surface, the first space being partitioned from the second space by the partition member, and when the airtight terminal is attached to the pressure vessel, the first space is in communication with the external space of the pressure vessel, the second space is in communication with the internal space of the pressure vessel, and the airtight terminal is configured such that at least a portion of the side surface is subjected to the pressure of the internal space of the pressure vessel or the pressure of the second space communicating with the internal space.

The airtight terminal according to claim 1, wherein the side surface of the insulating portion is joined to the first inner circumferential surface of the first hollow member, and the pressure of the internal space of the pressure vessel is applied to at least a portion of the side surface via the first hollow member.

3. The airtight terminal according to claim 2, comprising a flange positioned along the outer circumferential surface of the first hollow member.

The airtight terminal according to claim 3, wherein the flange comprises a cylindrical portion extending along the longitudinal axis of the first hollow member, and is configured such that the pressure of the internal space of the pressure vessel is applied to at least a portion of the side surface via the cylindrical portion.

The airtight terminal according to claim 3, wherein the flange comprises a cylindrical portion extending along the longitudinal axis of the first hollow member, and is configured such that the second inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical portion and the outer circumferential surface of the first hollow member are separated.

The airtight terminal according to claim 5, further comprising a first joint that joins the flange and the first hollow member, wherein the first hollow member has a first end located on the first space side, and the first joint is located on the first end side of the location where the second main surface of the first hollow member is located.

The airtight terminal according to claim 4, further comprising a second joint that joins the flange and the first hollow member, wherein the first hollow member has a second end located on the second space side, and the second joint is located on the second end side of the location where the second main surface of the first hollow member is located.

The airtight terminal according to claim 1, wherein the partition member further comprises a second hollow member joined to the side surface of the insulating portion and to the first inner circumferential surface of the first hollow member, and is configured such that the pressure of the second space communicating with the internal space of the pressure vessel is applied to at least a portion of the side surface via the second hollow member.

9. The airtight terminal according to any one of claims 1 to 8, further comprising a limiting member positioned along the first inner surface of the first hollow member in the first space and configured to limit the deformation of the first hollow member.

10. A pressure vessel fitted with an airtight terminal according to any one of claims 1 to 9.
