Optical waveguide packaging structure and packaging method

Abstract

An optical waveguide packaging structure (100) and a packaging method. In the optical waveguide packaging structure (100), a protective sheet (40) and a waveguide substrate (10) are disposed opposite to and spaced apart from each other, and are connected by means of an adhesive layer (20). At least a part of the edge of the protective sheet (40) extends laterally outward beyond the edge of the waveguide substrate (10); or, at least a part of the edge of the protective sheet (40) is laterally recessed inward to be within the edge of the waveguide substrate (10); or, the edge of the protective sheet (40) and the edge of the waveguide substrate (10) are disposed in a staggered manner. A grating structure (30) is disposed on the waveguide substrate (10), and the grating structure (30) is located in an orthogonal projection plane of the protective sheet (40) on the waveguide substrate (10).
