More in particular, it concerns a device for dispensing a solid product, mainly a solid perfume but also another cosmetic product, such as a lipstick, a cream, etc .
[0005] State of the Art
[0006] In the cosmetics field, and in particular in the perfumery field, alternative and complementary methods for the application of liquid perfumes on skin have been sought for some time now, among other things to avoid and / or reduce contact with alcoholic substances normally included in liquid perfumes and which can be harmful to the skin.
[0007] It is known that solid perfumes tend to last longer than their liquid counterparts . In addition, solid perfumes are easy to transport and do not involve the risk of leakage . Furthermore, compared to liquid perfumes, solid perfumeshelp to moisturise the skin, besides releasing the traditional pleasant scent . Indeed, solid perfume is based on waxes and butters, without the addition of alcohol, which also makes it ideal for people with sensitive skin.
[0008] With regard to modes of application, solid perfumes are currently normally applied directly with the fingers or by means of a stick.
[0009] The patent application WO 2016 / 189077 describes a device for applying a preferably liquid cosmetic product which comprises a massaging element, for example in the form of a roller .
[0010] However, a further requirement of the cosmetics field, and in particular of the perfumery field, is to make the dispensing of perfume more pleasant and capable of promoting a mindfulness effect . This means promoting a calming effect with a reduction in stress, anxiety, etc . , and promoting a feeling of well-being during a beauty routine and at other times of the day.
[0011] To date, there are no known solutions that meet these combined requirements .
[0012] Subject Matter and Summary of the Invention The obj ect of this invention is to provide a cosmetic device that is able to combine the advantages of the dispensing of a solid perfume with the dispensing of a liquid perfume and with the benefits of vibration to create anolfactory experience that evolves from an immediate and complex perception of the fragrance to its delicate and refined persistence over time . The present invention also makes it possible to improve the effectiveness of beauty and skincare treatments and to offer a sensory experience that can reduce stress, improve one' s mood and promote a general sense of calm and satisfaction, creating pleasant sensations for both the sense of smell and the sense of touch.

[0021] - designed to attain personal well-being.
[0022] Brief Description of the Drawings
[0023] For a better understanding of the present invention, some preferred embodiments are described in the following with reference to the accompanying drawings, wherein:
[0024] Figure 1 is a schematic sectional view of a cosmetic device according to a first embodiment of the invention;
[0025] Figures 2A, 2B and 2C are respective schematic sectional views of another three embodiments of the cosmetic deviceaccording to the present invention; and
[0026] Figures 3A and 3B are two schematic sectional views of two further embodiments of the cosmetic device according to the present invention.
[0027] Preferred Embodiments of the Invention With reference to Figure 1 and 3, an example embodiment of a device 1 according to the present invention is schematically illustrated.
[0028] The device 1 comprises a hollow support body 2 (or simply hollow body 2 ) and a head 3, supported by the body 2.
[0029] The head 3, which is intended to dispense a solid product, has a roller- or roll-on-type configuration.
[0030] In detail, the head 3 comprises at least one dispensing sphere 11 (or simply the sphere 11 ) held rotatably in a seat 9, a cartridge 5 containing a dose of a solid product 7 and equipped with an opening 6 facing the dispensing sphere 11, contact means 13 configured to bring the dispensing sphere 11 into contact with the solid product 7 as the dispensing sphere 11 rotates in the seat 9.
[0031] The solid product 7 is preferably a solid perfume .
[0032] A solid product is understood here to be a solid-based cosmetic product that has a compact or semi-solid consistency and retains its shape at room temperature . These cosmetics are often formulated with natural waxes, butters (e . g. cocoa butter and shea butter) and other ingredients that give theproduct consistency and stability while also offering moisturising and nourishing benefits for the skin and hair . Solid-based cosmetics include solid shampoos, body balms, solid deodorants, stick blushes, solid soaps and perfumes, creams, lipsticks, etc .
[0033] As they often require less water than liquid products, solid cosmetics help to reduce water consumption in the manufacturing process . In addition, they are often packaged in environmentally friendly or biodegradable materials, such as paper or recyclable metal .
[0034] A solid perfume is understood to be a form of fragrance that is formulated in a solid base . It does not contain alcohol, which makes it gentler on the skin and ideal for people with sensitive or dry skin. Solid perfumes are often formulated with natural and organic ingredients, making them a more environmentally friendly and healthier choice .
[0035] Preferably, the cartridge 5 is removable so that it can be replaced by another cartridge and / or refilled with solid product 7. The solid product 7 itself can also be replaced in its entirety. The interchangeability of at least a part of the device 1 ( for example the cartridge 5 and / or the solid product 7 and / or the liquid perfume) contributes to making this device 1 environmentally friendly and economical .
[0036] With regard to the seat 9, this holds the dispensing sphere 11 in place so that the sphere 11 can rotate and ispartially accessible from the outside . These two elements, the seat 9 and the sphere 11, define the roll-on configuration of the head 3.
[0037] Preferably, the number of spheres 11 is in a range between 1 and 4. The dispensing sphere 11 intrinsically provides a manual massaging function.
[0038] Preferably, the dispensing sphere 11 has an outer side surface made of a soft material . A soft material is understood to be a material designed to ensure a uniform and gentle application of the solid product to the skin. Examples of soft materials include, but are not limited to, elastomeric materials, natural leather, synthetic leather, fabrics, in particular silk or velvet, and combinations thereof . For example, the dispensing sphere 11, made of a soft material, can be provided with ridges which reproduce one or more fingerprints, either of famous people or personalised with those of the user . Optionally, the dispensing sphere 11 can be configured to be heated, by being provided, for example, with an internal resistance, to make the application of the product even more comfortable .
[0039] During application, the user holds the hollow body 2, places the dispensing sphere 11 (or more than one dispensing sphere 11 ) on the skin and moves the device 1 so that the sphere 11 rolls in its seat 9.
[0040] The device 1 is preferably equipped with a cap 14 placedabove the dispensing sphere 11 to protect it from exposure to the external environment and removably coupled to the head 3 .
[0041] With regard to the one or more contact means 13, these can be of various types and comprise, for example, elastic elements acting on the dispensing sphere 11 or threaded elements defining a screw coupling between the seat 9 and the cartridge, or a rocker system, or a piston actuator, etc .
[0042] In other words, the contact means 13 bring the solid product 7 into contact with one or more spheres 11 at the opening 6 of the cartridge 5. This way, the solid product 7 is drawn out and thus applied to the skin.
[0043] In one embodiment of the invention, illustrated in Figure 1, SUCH contact means 13, for example one or more springs, are elastic elements acting on the dispensing sphere 11. According to this embodiment, when the sphere 11 is placed on the skin, it (and thus its seat 9) exerts a pressure on the elastic element, which, when compressed, brings the sphere 11 into contact with the solid product 7.
[0044] The contact means 13, for example the elastic elements, have, alternatively, the function of allowing the dispensing of the solid product 7 and of closing the device 1 when the sphere 11 and the product 7 are not in contact . Therefore, even if the sphere 11 unintentionally continues to rotate, the solid product 7 is not drawn outside the device 1.
[0045] The device 1 and, preferably, the hollow body 2 comprises a vibrating device 15 designed to generate vibrations and transmit them, through the hollow body 2 and / or the head 3, to the dispensing sphere 11.
[0046] The vibrating device 15 can be, for example, of mechanical and / or acoustic type . In the case of an acoustic vibrating device 15, it is configured to generate and transmit ultrasonic waves .
[0047] In this manner, the device 1, preferably at the sphere 11, combines the function of dispensing the solid product 7 and the liquid perfume (as described in the following) with the vibrating function ( for example as an emitter of ultrasonic waves) with associated cosmetic, therapeutic, and sensory benefits of pleasantness during use .
[0048] Indeed, it is known that ultrasonic waves, i . e . high-frequency vibrations (typically between 1 and 3 MHz) , when applied to the skin via an ultrasonic transducer or head, generate micro-vibrations in the superficial and deep tissues . These micro-vibrations promote, for example, increased skin permeability, which increases the penetration of the solid product 7 and / or liquid perfume .
[0049] Together with the vibrating device 15, the power supply unit and the control unit (not shown in the figure) of the vibrating device 15 are comprised in the device 1 and, preferably, in the hollow body 2. The control unit can be, for example, a microcontroller or a microprocessor designed to process user commands and adjust the intensity, speed and pattern of the vibrations . The control unit can also be provided with a memory, in which operating programs are stored, and / or with a communication device, for example that uses Bluetooth, for connection to an external device, for example a smartphone or smartwatch, via which the device 1 can be controlled and / or programmed.
[0050] The connection with the external device can allow the sharing of data with social networks or communities dedicated to the device according to the invention and thereby influence the choice of perfume (solid or liquid) and the frequency of vibrations . For instance, the control unit can store music tracks or be connected to computer applications for reproducing music and generate a vibration that reproduces the musical rhythm.
[0051] Optionally, the device 1 is provided with sensors to detect one or more physiological parameters, for example representative of skin hydration or of stress levels . The sensors can be located in various positions on the device 1, for example on the body 2 or on the head 3, and / or in a remote position, for example on strips or other supports that can be applied to the skin. The sensors communicate with the control unit and / or with the external device(smartphone or smartwatch) to which the control unit of the device 1 is connected, so that the control unit adjusts the operation of the device 1 according to the parameters detected by the sensors, for example by varying the intensity of the vibration.
[0052] With regard to the power supply unit, there are several options, including: rechargeable or non-rechargeable batteries, via cable, and via USB power supply.
[0053] Preferably, the device 1 is usually applied to pulse points (such as the wrists, neck and behind the ears) where body heat helps to diffuse the fragrance, offering a more intimate and delicate olfactory experience . To achieve a deeper sense of well-being, while the device 1 is being used on these application points, the subj ect can relax by closing their eyes and practising deep breathing, for example by taking at least seven deep breaths .
[0054] Figure 2 illustrates three alternative embodiments of the invention, which comprise the same elements as the device 1 in Figure 1 with the exception of the contact means 13.
[0055] In Figure 2A, the contact means 13 comprise an elastic element, for example a spring, which is housed between a supporting seat 18, arranged in the hollow body 2, and the cartridge 5. According to this embodiment, the contact element 13, preferably the elastic element, is under tension, which ensures a permanent contact between the sphere 11 andthe solid product 7 as the solid product gradually becomes thinner through use . According to this embodiment, it is preferable to combine the device 1 with the cap 14 to prevent the solid product 7 from being unintentionally dispensed to the outside .
[0056] With reference to Figure 2B, the contact means 13 are threaded elements defining a screw coupling between the seat 9 and the cartridge 5. According to this embodiment, the screwing action brings the sphere 11 held in the seat 9 into contact with the solid product 7, at the opening 6 formed in the cartridge 5. As the solid product 7 is gradually used up, the screwing action makes it possible to compensate the thinning of the solid product 7 with use . The screw mechanism also acts as a tool for closing the device 1 when the rotation causes the spheres 11 to move away from the solid product 7.
[0057] It is understood that the contact means 13 can take still other forms . For example, in a variant not illustrated, the contact means 13 comprise a rocker system that connects the sphere 11 to the cartridge 5 so that when the sphere 11 is pressed, the cartridge 5 is raised until it contacts the sphere 11 .
[0058] In another variant illustrated in Figure 2C, the contact means 13 comprise a piston 19 actuated by an electric microactuator and which alternatively pushes the cartridge 5 towards the sphere 11 (when the vibrating device 15 isswitched on) and retracts it from the same (when the vibrating device 15 is switched off ) .
[0059] According to a further embodiment of the invention, illustrated in Figure 3, the device 1 comprises all the elements of the device 1 with the integration of further elements for dispensing a perfume in liquid form.
[0060] Therefore, the device 1 in Figure 3A and 3B comprises, preferably in the hollow body 2 :
[0061] a reservoir 20 to store the liquid perfume;
[0062] a pump 22, connected to the reservoir 20 by a suction tube 23, designed to generate pressure to spray the liquid perfume; and a nozzle 25, obtained in a wall of the hollow body 2, through which the liquid perfume is sprayed.
[0063] The pump 22 can be actuated manually by pressing, for example, the cap 14 of the device 1, which is connected to the pump 22 via a piston 24, or the pump 22 can be controlled electrically via a dedicated button.
[0064] As illustrated in Figure 3A, the nozzle 25 can, for example, be obtained in the wall opposite the head 3 of the device 1, or it can be formed in the wall adj acent to the head 3 (as shown in Figure 3B) .
[0065] It is understood that other types of dispensing of liquid perfume can be integrated into the device 1 of the present invention.
[0066] Advantageously, the device 1, comprising both theelements for dispensing the solid product 7 and the elements for dispensing the liquid perfume, makes it possible to have a sensory experience that evolves from the rich and immediate complexity of the notes of the liquid perfume and transforms into a delicate and lasting scent trail enhanced by the solid perfume .
[0067] This preferred embodiment thus has the advantage of combining the benefits of the dispensing with vibration of both solid products and liquid perfumes . The last ones are more intense, enchanting and have a greater proj ection than solid perfumes .
[0068] In other embodiments, the dispensing sphere 11 is made of the solid product to be dispensed or comprises at least one outer side surface made of said solid product .
[0069] It is understood that the cosmetic device 1 can comprise a plurality of dispensing spheres 11, for example arranged around the nozzle 25 from which the liquid perfume is sprayed .
[0070] Finally, it is clear that modifications and variations can be made to the illustrated devices 1 without departing from the scope of protection defined by the claims .
