Quantum dots and method for producing same

Abstract

The present invention relates to quantum dots comprising a core / shell structure. The quantum dots of the present disclosure form a compositional gradient between a core and a shell to enhance interfacial stability, to suppress defect-induced emission, and to provide high-efficiency and high-color purity emission characteristics through adjustment of an emission center wavelength and a reduction in an emission linewidth (FWHM). In addition, the present invention provides a high-performance light-emitting material that maintains optical stability of quantum dots for a long time through a protective effect of the outer shell and is suitable for various application fields such as displays, lighting, and bioimaging.
