Abstract
Description
[0001] METHOD OF INSTALLING FACING PANELS AND A DEVICE FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION
[0002] The present invention relates to the field of industrial and civil construction, namely to building metal structures consisting of long load-bearing metal elements, in particular to profiles used in the cladding of building facades and imparting aesthetic qualities to construction objects, as well as for protection from external atmospheric influences.
[0003] Metal siding is a cladding material that imitates wood paneling or natural stone, consisting of profiled panels of galvanized steel with a polymer coating. The manufacturer produces metal siding using a cold-rolling process. The sheets are first hot-dip galvanized. Galvanizing enhances the protective anti-corrosion properties of the building material. The manufacturer coats the metal panel with various polymer coatings, including satin, velor, polyester, and valor. The coating lends decorative appeal and appeal to the iron siding. A bright or matte surface, painted in one of the classic RAL shades, enlivens the area. Printed surfaces imitate wood or stone walls. Metal siding is used for cladding the facades of private homes, industrial buildings, car washes, cafes, and stores. [0006] SUBSTITUTE SHEET (RULE 26) A cladding OMEGA profile is known, manufactured by profiling from cold-rolled metals, including those with coatings, having a shelf with two stiffening ribs and two legs with bends, each stiffening rib is made with two bends and is located on the profile shelf with an indent from the adjacent leg at a distance equal to half the height of the leg, so that the said ribs form stabilizing strips at each profile leg, and the part of the profile shelf between the stiffening ribs is recessed inside the profile by 2-3 mm, while each stiffening rib is profiled with work hardening so that it forms an angle from 90 to 135 degrees at one of its bends with the stabilizing strip and forms the same angle from 90 to 135 degrees at its second bend with the profile shelf, forming a work hardened zone of a size not less than the height of the profile leg, (RU patent for invention RU 2752831, C2, published 09.08.2021)
[0007] A common disadvantage of known devices is the large range of parts used and the inability to change the direction of installation of the facing panels.
[0008] A known method for installing metal siding involves installing a finishing composite strip and securing it to the junction of the top edge of the wall and the base of the eaves overhang with self-tapping screws. When installing the first siding panel, the top edge of the panel is inserted into the installed finishing strip and secured with self-tapping screws. The lower perforated edge is fixed to the frame. When installing the second and subsequent siding panels, the top edge of the second panel is inserted into the bottom edge of the first panel. The lower perforated edge is secured with self-tapping screws to metal guides. [0009] The disadvantage of this method is the inability to change the direction of installation of the facing panels.
[0010] The objective set in developing the proposed method and device is to eliminate the above-mentioned deficiencies, reduce the range and quantity of parts, and expand the capabilities and installation options for cladding panels.
[0011] The technical result is the creation of a device that allows for a reduction in the number of parts required when installing cladding panels, as well as changing the direction of panel installation during the process of cladding the building's facade.
[0012] The technical result is achieved in that the method for installing facing panels is characterized by the fact that a device for installing facing panels on the building facade is installed as a starting element, adjoining the roof cornice with the rear leg, then the front and rear bends are secured to the plane of the facade, the facing panel is inserted with the locking part into the U-shaped groove, fixed, a new facing panel is connected with the fixed panel with the locking part and fixed to the plane of the facade.
[0013] The method of installing facing panels and the device for its implementation are explained in the following drawings:
[0014] Fig. 1 shows the cross-section of the device for mounting facing panels.
[0015] Fig. 2 shows a diagram of the installation of a device for mounting facing panels.
[0016] Fig. 3 shows a diagram of the installation of a device for mounting facing panels as a dividing element when the facing panels are arranged horizontally.
[0017] Fig. 4 shows a diagram of the installation of a device for mounting facing panels as a dividing element in a combined arrangement of facing panels.

[0019] SUBSTITUTE SHEET (RULE 26) A device for mounting facing panels, manufactured by profiling from cold-rolled metals, including those with coatings, contains: a front bend 1 and a rear bend 6, a rear leg 5, a shelf 4, as well as a front leg 3 made with a U-shaped groove 2, the rear leg 5 is made higher relative to the front leg 3, which has an S-shaped profile, the shelf 4 is inclined at an angle of less than 90°, relative to the perpendicular plane of the rear leg 5.
[0020] The cladding panel mounting device is a starting element used for installing cladding panels on a building wall using the top-down installation method. It allows for horizontal installation of cladding panels relative to the horizontal plane and also serves as a separator, including in combination cladding panel installations. This expands the installation options for cladding panels and provides an additional aesthetic effect.
[0021] It should be noted that the presented example of using the claimed method for installing cladding panels and the device for implementing it does not limit possible design changes and modifications using prior art solutions within the scope and essence of the appended claims. A preferred embodiment is provided below.
[0022] The method of installation of facing panels is as follows.
[0023] The device for mounting the cladding panels is installed on the building facade with the rear bend 6 of the rear leg 5 adjoining the roof cornice (Fig. 2). It is then secured through the front 1 and rear bends 6 using fastening means 8, for example, self-tapping screws or rivets, to the profile 9 of the façade plane sheathing. The rear leg 5 will be the supporting surface for installing the cornice panels 10 (soffits). This eliminates the need to install the profiles required for a classic installation when mounting the cornice panels 10. The cladding 4
[0024] REPLACEMENT SHEET (RULE 26): Insert panel 7 with its locking portion into U-shaped groove 2 and secure it along the panel's length. Next, insert a new cladding panel 7 into the locking portion of the secured panel and secure it to the façade surface. The process is then repeated with the new panel until the façade is fully clad.
[0025] As a result, the panels are connected to each other using only docking locks, eliminating gaps between panels and allowing for a sufficiently rigid structure to be installed directly on the building's façade. The U-shaped groove 2 on the front leg 3 serves as a process unit for orienting and assembling the cladding panels 7.
[0026] A variant of installing a device for installing facing panels as a separator for horizontally positioned facing panels 7 (Fig. 3) is available. The device for installing facing panels, at the point of separation of the panels, is inserted with its rear bend 6 into the locking portion of horizontally installed facing panels 7, and its front bend 1 is secured to the façade plane. The locking portion of the new facing panel 7 is then inserted into the U-shaped groove 2 and secured to the façade plane. The next panel is then inserted into the locking portion of the first panel. This completes the façade plane. The color scheme of the device for installing facing panels allows for visual accents, which also enhances the aesthetic effect and the possible options for implementing the façade cladding.
[0027] There is also an option of using the device for mounting facing panels as a dividing element in the case of a combined arrangement of facing panels (Fig. 4). The device for mounting facing panels, at the point of separation of the panels, is inserted with the rear bend 6 under the end part of the installed facing panels 7 until it stops with the rear leg 5, and the front bend 1 is fixed with fastening means 8 to the plane of the facade. The locking part of the horizontally directed facing panel 7 is inserted into the U-shaped groove 2 and 5 is carried out
[0028] SUBSTITUTE SHEET (RULE 26) fixation. The next panel, 7, is installed similarly to the preferred option. This allows for changing the installation direction of the cladding panels, which also increases the façade installation options.
[0029] The proposed method and device for installing cladding panels allow for easier installation, reduced parts inventory, and faster cornice panel installation, thanks to the rear support leg. The proposed device for installing cladding panels can also be used as a divider, allowing for combinations of panel installation directions and the use of various color schemes, expanding the possible façade installation options.
