[0001] Priority information
[0002] This application claims priority and benefits to patent application No. 202510192541.7, filed with the China National Intellectual Property Administration on February 20, 2025, the entire contents of which are incorporated herein by reference. Technical Field
[0003] This application relates to the field of battery technology, specifically to a battery device and an electrical device. Background Technology
[0004] In the design and application of battery devices, temperature control of individual battery cells is crucial for ensuring battery performance, extending cell lifespan, and guaranteeing safety. Related technologies utilize heat exchange components to regulate the temperature of individual battery cells, ensuring they operate within a suitable temperature range.
[0005] The heat exchange assembly includes a heat exchange body and a connector. The heat exchange body is used for heat exchange with the individual battery cells. The connector is used to introduce fluid into the heat exchange body and to discharge the fluid from the heat exchange body. When there are multiple battery cells, heat exchange bodies need to be placed in multiple locations to ensure efficient temperature regulation. In related technologies, each heat exchange body has a corresponding connector. This results in the heat exchange assembly occupying a large space inside the battery device, leading to low space utilization and consequently lower energy density for the same volume of battery device. Summary of the Invention
[0006] This application provides a battery device and an electrical device that can solve the problem of low space utilization in the battery device, resulting in low energy density of the battery device in the same volume.
[0007] The battery device provided in this application embodiment includes a housing, multiple battery cells, and a heat exchange assembly. The housing has an interface communicating with the outside. The multiple battery cells are arranged inside the housing. The heat exchange assembly is disposed inside the housing and configured to exchange heat with the battery cells. The heat exchange assembly includes a heat exchange body, a current collector, a connector, and a joint. The heat exchange body has a media flow channel inside and is disposed between adjacent battery cells. The current collector is connected to at least one end of the heat exchange body and communicates with the media flow channel. The connector connects multiple current collectors. At least one joint is configured to connect the connector, the heat exchange body, and the interface.
[0008] In the battery device of this application embodiment, a connector is provided to connect the connector, heat exchange body, and interface. The connector can allow fluid to be introduced into multiple heat exchange bodies or to be discharged from multiple heat exchange bodies. By connecting multiple heat exchange bodies to at least one connector through the current collector and connector, the medium channels inside the multiple heat exchange bodies are interconnected. This simplifies the structure of the heat exchange assembly, reduces the space occupied by the heat exchange assembly, improves the space utilization within the battery device, and allows the battery device to accommodate larger battery cells, thereby achieving higher energy density under the same volume conditions.
[0009] In some embodiments, the battery cell includes a first wall and a second wall, the first wall and the second wall are connected at an angle, and the first wall is connected to the heat exchange body.
[0010] Thus, by placing the heat exchanger between adjacent battery cells and connecting the first wall to the heat exchanger, the contact area between the heat exchanger and the battery cells can be increased, thereby improving the heat exchange efficiency.
[0011] In some embodiments, the first wall is the wall with the largest surface area in the battery cell.
[0012] Thus, by connecting the heat exchanger to the first wall with the largest surface area in the battery cell, the heat exchange area between the heat exchanger and the battery cell can be significantly increased, thereby improving the heat exchange efficiency.
[0013] In some embodiments, a plurality of battery cells are arranged along a first direction, wherein the second walls of two adjacent battery cells are aligned in the first direction.
[0014] In this way, the individual battery cells can be arranged closely together, and this layout can make more efficient use of the space inside the battery device, thereby improving the space utilization rate of the battery device.
[0015] In some embodiments, the heat exchange body and the battery cell are alternately arranged in a second direction, which intersects with the first direction.
[0016] In this way, multiple rows of battery cells and multiple heat exchange bodies are interconnected to form a whole and housed in the box. This not only enables effective thermal management of each row of battery cells, but also ensures the overall structural strength of the battery device, thereby improving the performance of the battery device.
[0017] In some embodiments, the heat exchange body is bonded to the first wall.
[0018] Thus, the adhesive connection provides a robust fixing method, enhancing the structural stability between the heat exchanger body and the first wall of the battery cell, and reducing displacement or damage caused by vibration or impact during battery device operation. This allows the heat exchanger body to remain in continuous contact with the first wall to continuously regulate the temperature of the battery cell.
[0019] In some embodiments, the housing includes a side beam, which is disposed at one end near the length of the heat exchange body, and the interface is disposed on the side beam.
[0020] Thus, in actual use, one end of the casing along its length is close to other equipment outside the battery pack. Therefore, the position of the side beam facilitates the connection of the connector to other equipment outside the battery pack via the interface.
[0021] In some embodiments, the connector includes a connector body, a first connecting portion, a second connecting portion, and a third connecting portion. The first connecting portion is connected to the end of the connector body away from the heat exchange body and is connected to the interface. The second connecting portion is connected to one of the two sidewalls opposite to the connector body. The third connecting portion is connected to the other of the two sidewalls opposite to the connector body. The second connecting portion is connected to a connector located on one side of the connector body, and the third connecting portion is connected to a connector located on the other side of the connector body.
[0022] Thus, by setting up the joint body, the first connecting part, the second connecting part, and the third connecting part, the heat exchange medium can directly enter the heat exchange body connected to the joint body, or enter other heat exchange bodies through the connecting parts, thereby improving heat exchange efficiency. Furthermore, since the second and third connecting parts are located on both sides of the joint body and connected to their corresponding connecting parts, the joint design is compact, thereby reducing the space occupied by the joint.
[0023] In some embodiments, the first connection portion includes an inlet connector and an outlet connector, the inlet connector and the outlet connector being disposed on the same connector body.
[0024] By placing the inlet and outlet connectors on the same connector body, the overall space occupied by the inlet and outlet connectors can be reduced, thereby improving the space utilization rate inside the battery device and allowing the battery device to accommodate larger battery cells, thus achieving higher energy density under the same volume conditions.
[0025] In some embodiments, the current collector is connected to a first end of one portion of the heat exchanger body, and the inlet connector and the outlet connector are both connected to a first end of another portion of the heat exchanger body.
[0026] In this way, the current collector, inlet connector, and outlet connector are all connected to the same end of the entire heat exchange body. This reduces the connection points between the various parts of the heat exchange assembly, thereby making the structure of the heat exchange assembly more compact and integrated. This improves the space utilization rate within the battery device and allows the battery device to accommodate larger battery cells, thus achieving higher energy density under the same volume conditions.
[0027] In some embodiments, the current collector is connected to a first end of one portion of the heat exchange body, the inlet connector is connected to a first end of another portion of the heat exchange body, and the outlet connector is connected to a second end of another portion of the heat exchange body.
[0028] Therefore, placing the collector at the same end of the heat exchanger body facilitates the installation of connectors. If the external pipes connecting the inlet and outlet connectors are located on the same side, they occupy a significant amount of space, making them unsuitable for some space-constrained applications. By placing the inlet and outlet connectors at different ends of the heat exchanger body, the space occupied by the external pipes connecting them on one side can be reduced, thus meeting the space requirements for external pipe arrangement.
[0029] In some embodiments, the heat exchanger body has a first end and a second end connected to the collector, and the water inlet connector and the water outlet connector are both connected to the first end of the heat exchanger body.
[0030] This design allows the fluid to be distributed more evenly to each heat exchanger, optimizing the fluid flow path and thus improving heat exchange efficiency.
[0031] In some embodiments, a first end of one portion of the heat exchange body and a second end of one portion of the heat exchange body are both connected to the collector, the water inlet connector is connected to the first end of another portion of the heat exchange body, and the water outlet connector is connected to the second end of another portion of the heat exchange body.
[0032] This design allows for more even distribution of fluid across all heat exchange units, optimizing the fluid flow path and thus improving heat exchange efficiency. Furthermore, by placing the inlet and outlet connectors at different ends of the heat exchange units, the space occupied by external pipes connecting the inlet and outlet connectors on one side can be reduced, thereby meeting the space requirements for external piping.
[0033] In some embodiments, the inlet connector and the outlet connector are spaced apart along a third direction.
[0034] In this way, by setting the inlet and outlet connectors at intervals along a third direction, the space occupied by the inlet and outlet connectors in other directions is reduced, thereby reducing the overall space occupied by the inlet and outlet connectors.
[0035] In some embodiments, along the third direction, the central axis of the water inlet connector overlaps with the central axis of the water outlet connector.
[0036] Thus, from a third-party perspective, the projections of the inlet and outlet connectors overlap, thereby further reducing the overall space occupied by the inlet and outlet connectors.
[0037] In some embodiments, the water inlet connector includes a first segment and a second segment, the first segment and the second segment are connected at an angle, and the first segment is connected to the connector body; the water outlet connector includes a third segment and a fourth segment, the third segment and the fourth segment are connected at an angle, and the third segment is connected to the connector body; wherein, the first segment and the second segment are parallel to each other, and the third segment and the fourth segment are parallel to each other.
[0038] Thus, since the first and second sections of the water inlet connector and the third and fourth sections of the water outlet connector are parallel to each other, this layout helps to make more efficient use of space, thereby improving the space utilization rate of the battery device.
[0039] In some embodiments, the first connection includes an inlet connector and an outlet connector, the inlet connector and the outlet connector being respectively disposed on two adjacent connector bodies.
[0040] Therefore, placing the inlet and outlet connectors on two adjacent connector bodies reduces the overall space occupied by the inlet and outlet connectors. Furthermore, placing the connectors on different connector bodies facilitates the layout of the inlet and outlet connectors, thereby improving their manufacturing and reducing manufacturing complexity.
[0041] In some embodiments, the connector body includes a first side and a second side connected to the first side, the surface area of the second side is greater than the surface area of the first side, the connector is connected to the second side, and the inlet connector and the outlet connector are both connected to the first side.
[0042] In this way, the connector is connected to the second side with a larger surface area, which facilitates the flow of a larger flow rate of heat exchange medium into the medium channel of the heat exchange body, thereby improving the heat exchange efficiency of the heat exchange body. Both the inlet and outlet water connectors are connected to the first side with a smaller surface area, which reduces the space occupied by the inlet and outlet water connectors on the heat exchange body, thereby improving the space utilization of the battery device.
[0043] In some embodiments, the connector includes a first connecting pipe and a second connecting pipe, both of which are connected to the medium flow channel. The first connecting pipe is connected to the water inlet connector, and the second connecting pipe is connected to the water outlet connector.
[0044] In this way, the heat exchange medium can be replenished into the medium flow channel through the first connecting pipe. The heat exchange medium in the medium flow channel can flow out of the medium flow channel through the second connecting pipe. This allows the heat exchange medium to circulate, thereby improving the heat exchange efficiency.
[0045] In some embodiments, the connector body has a first main channel that is connected to the first connecting pipe, and the connector body also has a first branch channel and a second branch channel. The first branch channel is connected to the first main channel and the medium channel, and the second branch channel is connected to the first main channel and the water inlet connector.
[0046] The connector body also has a second main channel, which is connected to the second connecting pipe. The connector body also has a third branch channel and a fourth branch channel. The third branch channel is connected to the second main channel and the medium channel, and the fourth branch channel is connected to the second main channel and the water outlet connector.
[0047] In this way, the main channel can be used to transport the heat exchange medium, allowing it to flow through the connecting pipes to the area where each collector is located. Branch channels allow the heat exchange medium to flow into the medium flow channels of the heat exchanger body. Connectors provide inlet and outlet functions for the heat exchange medium, enabling it to fill or drain from the main channel, ensuring the reliability of the heat exchange components.
[0048] In some embodiments, the medium flow channel includes a plurality of first chambers and a plurality of second chambers, and the connector body further includes a first current collector and a second current collector, wherein the first current collector connects the first branch channel and the first chamber, and the second current collector connects the third branch channel and the second chamber.
[0049] In this way, the collector can have a flow-diverting function, which can reduce the probability of vortex dead zones after the heat exchange medium flows into the medium channel, reduce local flow resistance, and thus help optimize the flow path of the heat exchange medium in the medium channel, ensuring that the heat exchange medium can flow evenly through each chamber and improve the uniformity of heat exchange.
[0050] In some embodiments, the connector includes a first connecting pipe and a second connecting pipe, both of which are in communication with the medium flow channel. The first connecting pipe and the second connecting pipe are disposed on the same side of the battery cell, and the first connecting pipe and the second connecting pipe are spaced apart along a third direction.
[0051] Thus, since the first and second connecting pipes are located on the same side of the battery cell and are spaced apart along the first direction, the connecting components occupy less space within the battery device. This improves the space utilization within the battery device, thereby increasing the energy density of the battery device with the same volume.
[0052] In some embodiments, along the third direction, the central axis of the first connecting pipe overlaps with the central axis of the second connecting pipe.
[0053] Thus, in the third direction, the projections of the first connecting pipe and the second connecting pipe overlap, thereby further reducing the overall space occupied by the first connecting pipe and the second connecting pipe.
[0054] In some embodiments, the battery device further includes a connection structure, one end of which is connected to the first connection tube and the other end of which is connected to the second connection tube.
[0055] Thus, the connecting structure enhances the overall stability of the first and second connecting pipes, making them less prone to displacement or misalignment during use. Simultaneously, the connecting structure allows the first and second connecting pipes to form a single unit, eliminating the need for separate assembly and thereby improving assembly efficiency.
[0056] In some embodiments, the number of the connection structures is multiple, and the multiple connection structures are spaced apart along the second direction.
[0057] In this way, multiple connection structures can further enhance the overall stability of the first and second connecting pipes. Furthermore, even if one of the connection structures fails, the first and second connecting pipes can still form a stable connection through the other connection structures.
[0058] In some embodiments, each of the connection structures is disposed between two adjacent heat exchange components.
[0059] By placing the connecting structure between the current collectors, the internal spatial layout of the battery device can be optimized, the space occupied by the connecting structure can be reduced, and the space utilization rate can be improved.
[0060] In some embodiments, the connection structure includes a connecting rib, a first collar and a second collar, the first collar being sleeved on the first connecting pipe and the second collar being sleeved on the second connecting pipe, and the connecting rib connecting the first collar and the second collar.
[0061] Thus, by setting the first and second rings, the number of connection points between the connecting structure and the first and second connecting pipes increases, thereby improving the connection stability between the connecting structure and the first and second connecting pipes, making it less likely for connection failure to occur between the connecting structure and the first and second connecting pipes.
[0062] In some embodiments, the connecting rib includes a first portion and a second portion connected at an angle to the first portion, the first portion being connected to the first collar and the second portion being connected to the second collar.
[0063] Thus, since the first and second parts are connected at an angle, the connecting ribs can be applied to the first and second connecting pipes with different center distances, thereby improving the commonality of the connection structure.
[0064] In some embodiments, the connecting rib includes a first connecting segment, a second connecting segment, and a third connecting segment. The first connecting segment is connected to the first collar, the second connecting segment is connected to the second collar, and the third connecting segment is a ring structure with open ends. The first connecting segment and the second connecting segment are connected to opposite sides of the third connecting segment.
[0065] In this way, the third connecting segment of the ring structure can more evenly distribute the stress on the connecting ribs, reduce local stress concentration, and thus improve the overall stability of the connecting ribs, thereby improving the reliability of the connection between the first and second connecting pipes. At the same time, the third connecting segment can also absorb manufacturing tolerances, thereby reducing the probability of the first and second connecting pipes undergoing group deformation or skewing.
[0066] In some embodiments, the third connecting segment has a through hole, the extension direction of which is parallel to the length direction of the first connecting pipe.
[0067] In this way, the third connecting section can absorb the manufacturing tolerances of the first and second connecting pipes along the length direction of the first connecting pipe, thereby reducing the probability of the first and second connecting pipes deforming or skewing together.
[0068] In some embodiments, the third connecting segment has a through hole, the extension direction of which is perpendicular to the length direction of the first connecting pipe.
[0069] In this way, the third connecting section can absorb the manufacturing tolerances of the first and second connecting pipes along the length direction perpendicular to the first connecting pipe, thereby reducing the probability of the first and second connecting pipes deforming or skewing together.
[0070] In some embodiments, the axial dimension of the third connecting segment is greater than the axial dimension of the first collar.
[0071] In this way, the third connecting section can swing along the extension direction of the via, thereby absorbing the manufacturing tolerances of the first and second connecting pipes along the extension direction of the via, thus reducing the probability of the first and second connecting pipes deforming or skewing together.
[0072] In some embodiments, the axial dimension of the third connecting segment is less than or equal to the axial dimension of the first collar.
[0073] In this way, the third connecting section can swing radially along the through hole, thereby absorbing the manufacturing tolerances of the first and second connecting pipes radially along the through hole, thus reducing the probability of the first and second connecting pipes deforming or skewing together.
[0074] In some embodiments, the bottom wall of the housing is connected to the battery cell, the side wall of the housing is spaced apart from the battery cell, and the minimum distance between the side wall of the housing and the battery cell ranges from 5mm to 35mm.
[0075] Thus, because the space occupied by the heat exchange components within the housing is reduced, the volume of the individual battery cells can be set to be larger. Within the aforementioned numerical range, the individual battery cells are not only less prone to friction with the side walls of the housing, but can also have a larger volume, thereby achieving higher energy density.
[0076] The electrical device provided in this application includes the battery device described in any of the above embodiments, and the battery device is used to provide electrical energy.

[0110] Currently, judging from market trends, battery applications are becoming increasingly widespread. Batteries are not only used in energy storage systems such as hydropower, thermal power, wind power, and solar power plants, but also extensively in electric vehicles such as electric bicycles, electric motorcycles, and electric cars, as well as in aerospace and other fields. With the continuous expansion of battery applications, market demand is also constantly increasing.
[0111] In the design and application of battery devices, temperature control of individual battery cells is crucial for ensuring battery performance, extending battery life, and guaranteeing safety. To effectively cool the individual battery cells inside the battery device, heat exchange components are typically integrated. These heat exchange components can include multiple heat exchange bodies, which can exchange heat with the outer surfaces of multiple battery cells.
[0112] In order to continuously regulate the temperature of the battery cells, a heat exchange medium needs to be introduced into the heat exchanger body to achieve the circulation of the heat exchange medium, thereby improving the temperature regulation effect.
[0113] The housing is equipped with interfaces to meet the supply requirements of the heat exchange medium. To deliver the heat exchange medium input through these interfaces to multiple heat exchange units, a collector can be installed at the interface. Corresponding connectors are then installed on each of the multiple heat exchange units, allowing the collector to supply the heat exchange medium to all units. While this allows each heat exchange unit to be replenished with heat exchange medium, the connectors and the pipes connecting these connectors to the collector occupy a significant amount of space. This results in the heat exchange components occupying a large portion of the internal space of the battery device, leading to low space utilization and consequently, a lower energy density for the same volume of battery.
[0114] Based on the above considerations, this application provides a battery device. This battery device connects multiple current collectors via connectors and is equipped with at least one connector to connect the connectors, heat exchange bodies, and interfaces. By connecting multiple heat exchange bodies to at least one connector through the current collectors and connectors, the internal media channels of the multiple heat exchange bodies are interconnected. This simplifies the structure of the heat exchange components, reduces the space occupied by the heat exchange components, improves the space utilization within the battery device, and allows the battery device to accommodate larger battery cells, thereby achieving higher energy density within the same volume.

The technical solutions described in the embodiments of this application are applicable to various electrical devices 1000 that use battery cells 10, such as mobile phones, portable devices, laptops, electric vehicles, electric toys, power tools, vehicles, ships, and spacecraft, etc. For example, spacecraft include airplanes, rockets, space shuttles, and spacecraft.
[0116] For ease of explanation, the following embodiments use a vehicle as an example of an electrical device 1000 according to an embodiment of this application.

[0119] In this embodiment, the battery device 100 can not only serve as the operating power source for the vehicle, but also as the driving power source for the vehicle, replacing or partially replacing fuel or natural gas to provide driving power for the vehicle.

[0121] In this embodiment of the application, the battery cell 10 can be a secondary battery, which refers to the battery cell 10 that can be used again after being discharged by recharging to activate the active material.
[0122] The battery cell 10 can be a lithium-ion battery, sodium-ion battery, sodium-lithium-ion battery, lithium metal battery, sodium metal battery, lithium-sulfur battery, magnesium-ion battery, nickel-metal hydride battery, nickel-cadmium battery, lead-acid battery, etc., and the embodiments of this application are not limited to this.
[0123] In some embodiments, a battery cell assembly is typically formed by arranging multiple battery cells 10.
[0124] As an example, a battery cell assembly can be a battery module, which is formed by arranging and fixing multiple battery cells 10 together to form an independent module. As an example, a battery module can be formed by bundling multiple battery cells 10 together with cable ties.
[0125] In some embodiments, the battery device 100 may be a battery pack, which includes a housing 101 and one or more individual battery cells housed within the housing 101.
[0126] As an example, the battery cell assembly can be a battery module, and the battery cell assembly can be housed in the housing 101 by fixing the battery module in the housing 101.
[0127] As an example, the battery cell assembly can also be housed in the housing 101 by directly fixing multiple battery cells 10 to the housing 101.
[0128] As an example, the housing 101 may include a first housing 1010 and a second housing 1011. The first housing 1010 and the second housing 1011 are fastened together to form a closed space inside the housing 101 to house the battery cell assembly. Here, "closed" refers to covering or closing, and can be either sealed or unsealed. The first housing 1010 may be a top cover or a bottom plate.
[0129] As an example, the housing 101 may include a top cover, a frame, and a bottom plate. The top cover and the bottom plate are respectively connected to the frame, so that the interior of the housing 101 forms an enclosed space to accommodate the battery cell assembly.
[0130] In some embodiments, the housing 101 may be part of the vehicle's chassis structure. For example, a portion of the housing 101 may be at least a portion of the vehicle's floor, or a portion of the housing 101 may be at least a portion of the vehicle's crossbeams and longitudinal beams.
[0131] In some embodiments, the battery device 100 may be an energy storage device. Energy storage devices include energy storage containers, energy storage cabinets, etc.
[0132] Please refer to Figures 3 to 7. Figure 3 is a partial structural schematic diagram of the battery device 100 provided in some embodiments of this application; Figure 4 is an enlarged schematic diagram of part a of the battery device 100 in Figure 3; Figure 5 is a partial structural schematic diagram of the battery device 100 provided in other embodiments of this application; Figure 6 is a partial structural schematic diagram of the battery device 100 provided in yet another embodiment of this application; Figure 7 is an enlarged schematic diagram of part b of the battery device 100 in Figure 6.
[0133] The battery device 100 provided in this application embodiment includes a housing 101, a plurality of battery cells 10, and a heat exchange assembly 102. The housing 101 has an interface 1012 communicating with the outside. The plurality of battery cells 10 are arranged within the housing 101. The heat exchange assembly 102 is disposed within the housing 101 and configured to exchange heat with the battery cells 10. The heat exchange assembly 102 includes a heat exchange body 103, a current collector 20, a connector 30, and a connector 104. The heat exchange body 103 has a medium flow channel 21 inside and is disposed between adjacent battery cells 10. The current collector 20 is connected to at least one end of the heat exchange body 103 and communicates with the medium flow channel 21. The connector 30 connects a plurality of current collectors 20. At least one connector 104 is configured, and the connector 104 connects the connector 30, the heat exchange body 103, and the interface 1012.
[0134] Specifically, the number of interfaces 1012 can be one or more. Interfaces 1012 can be used to connect to an external supply source that stores heat exchange medium.
[0135] The number of battery cells 10 can be two, three, four, or even more. Multiple battery cells 10 can be connected to each other or spaced apart from each other.
[0136] The heat exchange assembly 102 is a component used to regulate the temperature of the battery cell 10, ensuring that the battery cell 10 operates within its optimal operating temperature range. The heat exchange body 103 can be a portion of the heat exchange assembly 102 that provides the heat exchange function. The number of heat exchange bodies 103 can be two, three, four, or even more.
[0137] Heat exchange refers to heating or cooling the battery cell 10. When cooling the battery cell 10, the heat exchange body 103 can contain a cooling medium to regulate the temperature of the battery cell 10. In this case, the heat exchange body 103 can also be called a cooling component or cooling plate, etc. The cooling medium can be a coolant or a cooling gas. Alternatively, the heat exchange body 103 can also be used for heating; this is not limited to this application embodiment.
[0138] Heat exchange between the heat exchange body 103 and the adjacent battery cell 10 can be achieved through direct contact. For example, the outer surface of the heat exchange body 103 can be attached to the outer surface of the battery cell 10. Alternatively, the heat exchange body 103 and the battery cell 10 can be indirectly contacted through a thermally conductive layer. For example, a thin thermally conductive layer (such as thermally conductive adhesive or a thermally conductive pad) can be used to achieve contact between the heat exchange body 103 and the battery cell 10 to improve heat exchange efficiency.
[0139] The heat exchanger body 103 can be circulated with heat exchange medium through the connector 104 or the collector 20 to achieve heat exchange medium circulation and thus improve the heat exchange effect. The heat exchange medium can flow into the medium flow channel 21 of the heat exchanger body 103 from the collector 20 or the connector 104, or in other words, the collector 20 or the connector 104 can be connected to the medium flow channel 21. There can be multiple heat exchanger bodies 103, some of which are connected to the collector 20 and others are connected to the connector 104.
[0140] The outer wall of the heat exchange body 103 can contact the outer wall of the battery cell 10. In use, the medium flow channel 21 inside the heat exchange body 103 contains a heat exchange medium, which can exchange heat with the outer wall of the heat exchange body 103, thereby enabling heat exchange between the heat exchange body 103 and the battery cell 10.
[0141] The medium flow channel 21 is a channel inside the heat exchange body 103 for the flow of the heat exchange medium. The medium flow channel 21 ensures that the heat exchange medium can be evenly distributed throughout the heat exchange body 103, improving heat exchange efficiency. The medium flow channel 21 can be straight, serpentine, or other complex flow channel structures; the specific shape is determined according to the actual application requirements. The size and shape of the medium flow channel 21 should ensure smooth flow of the heat exchange medium, avoiding blockage and excessive flow resistance.
[0142] The heat exchanger body 103 may have one or more medium flow channels 21. For example, each heat exchanger body 103 may have one medium flow channel 21. Alternatively, each heat exchanger body 103 may have two medium flow channels 21, which may be independent or interconnected. The shape of the heat exchanger body 103 may be adapted to the shape of the battery cell 10. For example, the heat exchanger body 103 may be rectangular to facilitate contact between the rectangular battery cell 10 and the heat exchanger body 103.
[0143] The collector 20 is a component connected to the heat exchange body 103, used to collect and distribute the heat exchange medium. The collector 20 is connected to at least one end of the heat exchange body 103, ensuring that the heat exchange medium can enter and exit the heat exchange body 103 uniformly, thereby improving heat exchange efficiency. The collector 20 can be a box-shaped, plate-shaped, or other shape, the specific shape determined according to actual application requirements. The interior of the collector 20 can be designed with flow guiding structures to optimize the flow path of the heat exchange medium.
[0144] The connection between the collector 20 and the heat exchange body 103 can be achieved through welding, bonding, or other methods. The collector 20 may have a flow channel communicating with the medium channel, allowing the heat exchange medium to flow between the heat exchange body 103 and the collector 20. The connection between the collector 20 and the connector 30 can also be achieved through welding, bonding, or other methods. For example, through holes may be provided in opposite areas of two adjacent collectors 20, and the connector 30 may be bonded to the periphery of the through holes, allowing two adjacent collectors 20 to be connected via the connector 30.
[0145] The heat exchanger body 103 can be made of a high thermal conductivity material, such as aluminum or copper, to improve heat exchange efficiency. A heat exchange medium can be filled inside the heat exchanger body 103, and heat exchange occurs between the heat exchanger body 103 and the battery cell 10 through the heat exchange medium's interaction with the body's walls. The heat exchange medium can be water, a mixture of water and ethylene glycol, a refrigerant, or air, etc. The heat exchange medium can be circulated for better temperature regulation.
[0146] The connector 30 can be a round tube, a square tube, or a tube of other shapes. The connector 30 can be connected to the collector 20 by welding, bonding, or other methods. The connector 30 can also be integrally formed with the heat exchange body 103. By connecting the collectors 20, the connector 30 enables multiple collectors 20 to communicate with each other, thereby reducing the number of joints 104 used and reducing the space occupied by the joints 104.
[0147] The number of connectors 104 can be one, two, three, four, or even more. When there is only one connector 104, the space occupied by the connector 104 is small. When there are two or more connectors 104, the heat exchange medium can be introduced into the medium flow channel 21 through more connectors 104, thereby improving the heat exchange efficiency.
[0148] One end of connector 104 can be connected to interface 1012. Connector 104 can be connected to interface 1012 by means of flange connection, welding, etc. For example, the outer surface of connector 104 can be provided with external threads, and the inner surface of interface 1012 can be provided with internal threads. Connector 104 and interface 1012 can be screwed together by external and internal threads. Connector 104 can be inserted into interface 1012 to facilitate connection with equipment outside battery device 100.
[0149] The other end of the connector 104 can be connected to the heat exchange body 103 or the connector 30. In one embodiment, the connector 104 can be mounted on the heat exchange body 103 via a flange or quick-connect pipe to improve the efficiency of assembly and disassembly. In another embodiment, the connector 104 can be connected to the connector 30 by welding or sleeve connection.
[0150] The connector 104 allows the heat exchange medium to flow into or out of the heat exchange body 103. The heat exchange medium outside the heat exchange assembly 102 can be input to the connector 104 via the interface 1012, and further input to the heat exchange body 103 or the connector 30. The heat exchange medium inside the heat exchange assembly 102 can be output from the heat exchange body 103 to the interface 1012 via the connector 104; alternatively, it can be output from the heat exchange body 103 to the connector 30 via the collector 20, input from the connector 30 to the connector 104, and finally output from the connector 104 to the interface 1012. Therefore, by setting the connector 104, the circulation of the heat exchange medium can be achieved, thereby improving the heat exchange effect of the heat exchange body 103. By setting the connector 104, the interface 1012 can communicate with the connector 30 and the heat exchange body 103, allowing the externally introduced heat exchange medium to flow into the medium channels of multiple heat exchange bodies 103, thereby improving heat exchange efficiency.
[0151] The connector 104 being located on one side of the enclosure 101 means that the connector 104 is located close to the side wall of the enclosure 101. The connector 104 may be located adjacent to the interface 1012 located on the side wall of the enclosure 101.
[0152] In the battery device 100 of this application embodiment, a connector 104 is provided to connect the connector 30, the heat exchange body 103, and the interface 1012. The connector 104 can allow fluid to be introduced into or discharged from the multiple heat exchange bodies 103. By connecting the multiple heat exchange bodies 103 to at least one connector 104 through the current collector 20 and the connector 30, the medium channels inside the multiple heat exchange bodies 103 are interconnected. This simplifies the structure of the heat exchange assembly 102, reduces the space occupied by the heat exchange assembly 102, improves the space utilization rate inside the battery device 100, and allows the battery device 100 to accommodate larger volume battery cells 10, thereby achieving higher energy density under the same volume conditions.
[0153] Please refer to Figure 8, which is a partial structural schematic diagram of a battery device 100 provided in some embodiments of this application. In some embodiments, the battery cell 10 includes a first wall 11 and a second wall 12, the first wall 11 and the second wall 12 are connected at an angle, and the first wall 11 is connected to the heat exchange body 103.
[0154] Specifically, both the first wall 11 and the second wall 12 can be sidewalls of the battery cell 10. The first wall 11 can be in contact with the heat exchange body 103. Heat exchange can be achieved between the heat exchange body 103 and the first wall 11 through direct contact. For example, the outer surface of the heat exchange body 103 can be attached to the outer surface of the first wall 11. The heat exchange body 103 and the first wall 11 can also be in indirect contact through a thermally conductive layer. For example, the heat exchange body 103 and the first wall 11 can be in contact through a thin thermally conductive layer (such as thermally conductive adhesive, thermally conductive pad, etc.) to improve heat exchange efficiency.
[0155] Thus, by placing the heat exchange body 103 between adjacent battery cells 10 and connecting the first wall 11 to the heat exchange body 103, the contact area between the heat exchange body 103 and the battery cells 10 can be increased, thereby improving the heat exchange efficiency.
[0156] Referring to Figure 8, in some embodiments, the first wall 11 is the wall with the largest surface area in the battery cell 10.
[0157] Specifically, the number of columns for the battery cells 10 can be two, three, four, or even more. Multiple battery cells 10 can be arranged along the length, height, or width of one of the battery cells 10. For example, multiple battery cells 10 can be arranged along the length of one of the battery cells 10. As another example, multiple battery cells 10 can be arranged along the width of one of the battery cells 10.
[0158] The battery cell 10 may include multiple walls, with the first wall 11, which has the largest surface area, connected to the heat exchange body 103. That is, the first wall 11 of the battery cell 10 faces the heat exchange body 103, or in other words, the first wall 11 of the battery cell 10 is parallel to the extending direction of the heat exchange body 103. The outer surface of the first wall 11 can be in contact with the outer surface of the heat exchange body 103. The entire outer surface of the first wall 11 can be in contact with the heat exchange body 103 to improve the heat exchange effect of the battery cell 10.
[0159] Thus, by connecting the heat exchange body 103 to the first wall 11 with the largest surface area in the battery cell 10, the heat exchange area between the heat exchange body 103 and the battery cell 10 can be significantly increased, thereby improving the heat exchange efficiency.
[0160] Referring to Figure 8, in some embodiments, a plurality of battery cells 10 are arranged along a first direction y, and in the first direction y, the second walls 12 of two adjacent battery cells 10 are aligned.
[0161] Specifically, the second walls 12 of two adjacent battery cells 10 can be spaced apart or connected to each other.
[0162] In this way, the battery cells 10 can be arranged closely together, and this layout can make more efficient use of the space inside the battery device 100 and improve the space utilization rate of the battery device 100.
[0163] Referring to Figure 8, in some embodiments, the heat exchange body 103 and the battery cell 10 are alternately arranged in the second direction x, which intersects the first direction y.
[0164] Specifically, along the second direction x, the battery cell 10 and the heat exchange body 103 can be arranged alternately in the manner of heat exchange body 103, a row of battery cells 10, heat exchange body 103... or they can be arranged alternately in the manner of a row of battery cells 10, heat exchange body 103, a row of battery cells 10...
[0165] In this way, multiple rows of battery cells 10 and multiple heat exchange bodies 103 are interconnected to form a whole and housed in the housing 101. This not only enables effective thermal management of each row of battery cells 10, but also ensures the overall structural strength of the battery device 100, thereby improving the performance of the battery device 100.
[0166] In some embodiments, the heat exchange body 103 is bonded to the first wall 11.
[0167] Specifically, bonding refers to using an adhesive to fix the heat exchanger body 103 to the first wall 11 of the battery cell 10. The bonding can use thermosetting adhesives, structural adhesives, or other types of adhesives, and can be adapted to the operating temperature, pressure, and environmental conditions of the battery device 100.
[0168] Thus, the adhesive connection provides a robust fixation method, enhancing the structural stability between the heat exchange body 103 and the first wall 11 of the battery cell 10, and reducing displacement or damage caused by vibration or impact during the operation of the battery device 100. This allows the heat exchange body 103 to remain in continuous contact with the first wall 11 to continuously regulate the temperature of the battery cell 10.
[0169] Referring to Figures 4 and 7, in some embodiments, the housing 101 includes a side beam 1013, which is disposed at one end near the length of the heat exchange body 103, and the interface 1012 is disposed on the side beam 1013.
[0170] Specifically, the housing 101 is the outer shell of the battery device 100, used to house and protect the battery cells 10 and the heat exchange assembly 102. The housing 101 provides the physical structure of the battery device 100, ensuring the stable arrangement of the battery cells 10 and the heat exchange assembly 102, and preventing the external environment from affecting the battery device 100. The housing 101 can be made of various materials, such as metal, plastic, or composite materials, depending on the application scenario and performance requirements of the battery device 100. The side beam 1013 is part of the housing 101, located at the edge of the housing 101, and is used to enhance the structural strength of the housing 101.
[0171] By placing the interface 1012 on the side beam 1013, the external connections of the battery device 100 are optimized, making the entry and exit of the heat exchange medium more convenient, while reducing the space occupied by the interface 1012 within the battery device 100. During the manufacturing process of the battery device 100, the side beam 1013 can be installed first, and then the interface 1012 can be installed on the side beam 1013. This design makes the installation of the interface 1012 more convenient and reduces the difficulty of manufacturing and assembly. For example, the interface 1012 can be fixed to the side beam 1013 using welding or bolt connections.
[0172] Thus, in actual use, one end of the housing 101 along its length is close to other equipment outside the battery device 100. Therefore, the position of the side beam 1013 facilitates the connection of the connector 104 to other equipment outside the battery device 100 through the interface 1012.
[0173] Please refer to Figures 7 and 9. Figure 9 is a schematic diagram of the assembly structure of the heat exchanger body 103 and the connector 104 provided in some embodiments of this application. In some embodiments, the connector 104 includes a connector body 105, a first connecting portion 106, a second connecting portion 107, and a third connecting portion 108. The first connecting portion 106 is connected to one end of the connector body 105 away from the heat exchanger body 103 and is connected to the interface 1012. The second connecting portion 107 is connected to one of the two sidewalls opposite to the connector body 105. The third connecting portion 108 is connected to the other sidewall opposite to the connector body 105. The second connecting portion 107 is connected to a connector 30 located on one side of the connector body 105, and the third connecting portion 108 is connected to a connector 30 located on the other side of the connector body 105.
[0174] Specifically, the first connecting portion 106 is used to connect the interface 1012 and the connector body 105. The second connecting portion 107 and the third connecting portion 108 are used to connect the connector body 105 and different connecting members 30. The heat exchange medium can enter the connector body 105 from the interface 1012 through the first connecting portion 106, and then be distributed into the second connecting portion 107 and the third connecting portion 108, and flow from the second connecting portion 107 and the third connecting portion 108 to the connecting members 30 located on both sides of the connector body 105. The heat exchange medium can also flow into the connector body 105 from the second connecting portion 107 and the third connecting portion 108, and then flow out of the connector body 105 through the first connecting portion 106, and then out through the interface 1012. Therefore, through the arrangement of the connector 104, the heat exchange medium can form a circulation within the heat exchange assembly 102, thereby improving the heat exchange effect.
[0175] The number of second connecting parts 107 can be multiple. For example, there can be two second connecting parts 107, which are spaced apart on the connector body 105, and the two second connecting parts 107 are respectively connected to the connectors 30 located on both sides of the connector body 105. The number of third connecting parts 108 can also be multiple. For example, there can be two third connecting parts 108, which are spaced apart on the connector body 105, and the two third connecting parts 108 are respectively connected to the connectors 30 located on both sides of the connector body 105.
[0176] The first connecting part 106, the second connecting part 107 and the third connecting part 108 can all be pipe connection port 1012, flange connection port 1012 or other types of connection points.
[0177] Thus, by providing the connector body 105, the first connecting part 106, the second connecting part 107, and the third connecting part 108, the heat exchange medium can directly enter the heat exchange body 103 connected to the connector body 105, or enter other heat exchange bodies 103 through the connecting piece 30, thereby improving heat exchange efficiency. Furthermore, since the second connecting part 107 and the third connecting part 108 are located on both sides of the connector body 105 and connected to the corresponding connecting piece 30, the connector 104 is designed compactly, thereby reducing the space occupied by the connector 104.
[0178] Referring to Figure 9, in some embodiments, the first connection 106 includes an inlet connector 40 and an outlet connector 50, which are disposed on the same connector body 105.
[0179] Specifically, the heat exchange medium can flow into the connector body 105 through the inlet connector 40 and flow out of the connector body 105 through the outlet connector 50, thereby realizing the circulation of the heat exchange medium and improving the heat exchange efficiency.
[0180] By placing the inlet connector 40 and the outlet connector 50 on the same connector body 105, the overall space occupied by the inlet connector 40 and the outlet connector 50 can be reduced, thereby improving the space utilization rate inside the battery device 100 and allowing the battery device 100 to accommodate larger battery cells 10, thus achieving higher energy density under the same volume conditions.
[0181] Referring to Figure 5, in some embodiments, the current collector 20 is connected to the first end of one portion of the heat exchange body 103, and the inlet connector 40 and the outlet connector 50 are both connected to the first end of another portion of the heat exchange body 103.
[0182] Specifically, the inlet connector 40 and the outlet connector 50 can be connected to the first end of the heat exchange body 103 via the connector body 105. The first end of each heat exchange body 103 is on the same side of the overall heat exchange body 103.
[0183] Thus, the current collector 20, the inlet connector 40, and the outlet connector 50 are all connected to the same end of the entire heat exchange body 103. This reduces the number of connection points between the various parts of the heat exchange assembly 102, thereby making the structure of the heat exchange assembly 102 more compact and integrated. This improves the space utilization within the battery device 100 and allows the battery device 100 to accommodate larger battery cells 10, thereby achieving higher energy density under the same volume conditions.
[0184] In some embodiments, the current collector 20 is connected to a first end of a portion of the heat exchange body 103, the inlet connector 40 is connected to a first end of another portion of the heat exchange body 103, and the outlet connector 50 is connected to a second end of another portion of the heat exchange body 103.
[0185] Specifically, the inlet connector 40 can be connected to the first end of the heat exchange body 103 via the connector body 105. The outlet connector 50 can be connected to the second end of the heat exchange body 103 via the connector body 105.
[0186] Thus, placing the collector 20 at the same end of the heat exchange body 103 facilitates the installation of the connector 30. If the external pipes connecting the inlet connector 40 and the outlet connector 50 were located on the same side, they would occupy a large amount of space, making them unsuitable for some space-constrained applications. By placing the inlet connector 40 and the outlet connector 50 at different ends of the heat exchange body 103, the space occupied by the external pipes connecting the inlet connector 40 and the outlet connector 50 on one side can be reduced, thereby meeting the space arrangement requirements of the external pipes.
[0187] In some embodiments, the heat exchange body 103 is connected to the first end and the second end of the heat exchange body 103 via the collector 20, and the water inlet connector 40 and the water outlet connector 50 are both connected to the first end of the heat exchange body 103.
[0188] This design allows the fluid to be distributed more evenly to each heat exchanger 103, optimizing the fluid flow path and thus improving heat exchange efficiency.
[0189] In some embodiments, a first end of a portion of the heat exchange body 103 and a second end of a portion of the heat exchange body 103 are both connected to the collector 20, the water inlet connector 40 is connected to the first end of another portion of the heat exchange body 103, and the water outlet connector 50 is connected to the second end of another portion of the heat exchange body 103.
[0190] This design allows the fluid to be distributed more evenly to each heat exchanger 103, optimizing the fluid flow path and thus improving heat exchange efficiency. Furthermore, by placing the inlet connector 40 and outlet connector 50 at different ends of the heat exchanger 103, the space occupied by external pipes connecting the inlet connector 40 and outlet connector 50 on one side can be reduced, thereby meeting the space requirements for external pipe arrangement.
[0191] Referring to Figure 9, in some embodiments, the inlet connector 40 and the outlet connector 50 are spaced apart along a third direction z.
[0192] Specifically, the third direction z can be parallel to the extension direction of the side of the joint body 105 away from the heat exchange body 103, or it can intersect with the extension direction of the side of the joint body 105 away from the heat exchange body 103.
[0193] Thus, by setting the inlet connector 40 and the outlet connector 50 at intervals along the third direction z, the space occupied by the inlet connector 40 and the outlet connector 50 in other directions is reduced, thereby reducing the overall space occupied by the inlet connector 40 and the outlet connector 50.
[0194] Please refer to Figures 10 and 11. Figure 10 is a schematic diagram of the assembly structure of the heat exchanger body 103 and the connector 104 provided in some other embodiments of this application; Figure 11 is a cross-sectional view of the assembly structure of Figure 10 along the AA direction. In some embodiments, along the third direction z, the central axis of the water inlet connector 40 overlaps with the central axis of the water outlet connector 50.
[0195] Specifically, when the inlet connector 40 and the outlet connector 50 have the same shape and size, their projections in the third direction z can completely overlap. When the inlet connector 40 and the outlet connector 50 have different shapes and sizes, their projections in the third direction z have an overlapping area.
[0196] Thus, on the third direction z, the projections of the inlet connector 40 and the outlet connector 50 overlap, which can further reduce the overall space occupied by the inlet connector 40 and the outlet connector 50.
[0197] Please refer to Figures 5 and 12. Figure 12 is a schematic diagram of the assembly structure of the heat exchanger body 103 and the connector 104 provided in some embodiments of this application. In some embodiments, the water inlet connector 40 includes a first segment 41 and a second segment 42, the first segment 41 and the second segment 42 are connected at an angle, and the first segment 41 is connected to the connector body 105; the water outlet connector 50 includes a third segment 51 and a fourth segment 52, the third segment 51 and the fourth segment 52 are connected at an angle, and the third segment 51 communicates with the connector body 105; wherein, the first segment 41 and the second segment 42 are parallel to each other, and the third segment 51 and the fourth segment 52 are parallel to each other.
[0198] Specifically, the angle between the first segment 41 and the second segment 42 can be set according to requirements. For example, the angle between the first segment 41 and the second segment 42 can be a right angle, in which case the water inlet connector 40 is "L" shaped. The angle between the third segment 51 and the fourth segment 52 can also be set according to requirements. For example, the angle between the third segment 51 and the fourth segment 52 can be a right angle, in which case the water outlet connector 50 is "L" shaped. The "L" shaped water inlet connector 40 and water outlet connector 50 can be used to meet connection requirements along the third direction z.
[0199] To avoid interference between the inlet connector 40 and the outlet connector 50, the length of the third segment 51 can be greater than the length of the first segment 41. The length of the fourth segment 52 can be greater than the length of the second segment 42.
[0200] Thus, since the first section 41 and the second section 42 of the water inlet connector 40 and the third section 51 and the fourth section 52 of the water outlet connector 50 are parallel to each other, this layout helps to make more efficient use of space, thereby improving the space utilization rate of the battery device 100.
[0201] In some embodiments, the first connection portion 106 includes a water inlet connector 40 and a water outlet connector 50, the water inlet connector 40 and the water outlet connector 50 being respectively disposed on two adjacent connector bodies 105.
[0202] Specifically, the inlet connector 40 and the outlet connector 50 can be connected to the corresponding parts on the two adjacent connector bodies 105 by means of bonding, welding or other methods, or they can be integrally formed with the corresponding connector bodies 105.
[0203] Thus, by placing the inlet connector 40 and the outlet connector 50 on two adjacent connector bodies 105, the overall space occupied by the inlet connector 40 and the outlet connector 50 can be reduced. Furthermore, placing the connectors 104 on different connector bodies 105 facilitates the layout of the inlet connector 40 and the outlet connector 50, thereby benefiting the manufacturing of the inlet connector 40 and the outlet connector 50 and reducing manufacturing complexity.
[0204] Referring to Figure 9, in some embodiments, the connector body 105 includes a first side 22 and a second side 23 connected to the first side 22. The surface area of the second side 23 is larger than the surface area of the first side 22. The connector 30 is connected to the second side 23. The water inlet connector 40 and the water outlet connector 50 are both connected to the first side 22.
[0205] Specifically, when the connector body 105 is rectangular, the second side surface 23 can be the outer surface with a larger area in the rectangular prism. The first side surface 22 can be the outer surface with a smaller area in the rectangular prism.
[0206] Thus, the connector 30 is connected to the second side 23 with a larger surface area, facilitating the flow of a larger flow rate of heat exchange medium into the medium channel 21 of the heat exchange body 103, thereby improving the heat exchange efficiency of the heat exchange body 103. The inlet connector 40 and outlet connector 50 are both connected to the first side 22 with a smaller surface area, which reduces the space occupied by the inlet connector 40 and outlet connector 50 on the heat exchange body 103, thereby improving the space utilization rate of the battery device 100.
[0207] Please refer to Figure 13, which is a partial structural schematic diagram of the battery device 100 provided in some embodiments of this application. In some embodiments, the connector 30 includes a first connecting pipe 31 and a second connecting pipe 32. Both the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 are connected to the medium flow channel 21. The first connecting pipe 31 is connected to the water inlet connector 40, and the second connecting pipe 32 is connected to the water outlet connector 50.
[0208] Specifically, there can be one or more first connecting pipes 31 and second connecting pipes 32. The number of first connecting pipes 31 and second connecting pipes 32 can correspond to the number of inlet connectors 40 and outlet connectors 50.
[0209] Both the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 can be used to connect the medium flow channels 21 of different heat exchange bodies 103. The first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 can be connected at different positions of different heat exchange bodies 103.
[0210] The heat exchange medium can enter the connector body 105 through the inlet connector 40. A portion flows through the connector body 105 to the medium flow channel 21 of the corresponding heat exchange body 103. Another portion enters the first connecting pipe 31 through the connector body 105, and then flows through the first connecting pipe 31 into the medium flow channel 21 of another connector body 105. The heat exchange medium in the connector body 105 not connected to the connector 104 can flow through the second connecting pipe 32 to the corresponding collector 20, and then through the second connecting pipe 32 to the connector body 105, and then through the connector body 105 to the interface 1012. The heat exchange medium in the connector body 105 connected to the connector 104 can flow directly from the connector body 105 to the interface 1012.
[0211] The first connecting pipe 31 and the connector body 105 can be connected by welding, bonding or other methods, or the first connecting pipe 31 and the connector body 105 can be integrally formed. For example, the connector body 105 can have a through hole communicating with the medium flow channel 21, and the first connecting pipe 31 is bonded to the periphery of the through hole so that the first connecting pipe 31 communicates with the medium flow channel 21.
[0212] The second connecting pipe 32 and the connector body 105 can be connected by welding, bonding or other methods, or the second connecting pipe 32 and the connector body 105 can be integrally formed. For example, the connector body 105 can have a through hole communicating with the medium flow channel 21, and the second connecting pipe 32 is bonded to the periphery of the through hole so that the second connecting pipe 32 communicates with the medium flow channel 21.
[0213] In this way, the heat exchange medium can be replenished into the medium flow channel 21 through the first connecting pipe 31. The heat exchange medium in the medium flow channel 21 can flow out of the medium flow channel 21 through the second connecting pipe 32. This allows the heat exchange medium to circulate, thereby improving the heat exchange efficiency.
[0214] Referring to Figure 11, in some embodiments, the connector body 105 has a first main channel 310, which is connected to the first connecting pipe 31. The connector body 105 also has a first branch channel 24 and a second branch channel 25. The first branch channel 24 connects the first main channel 310 and the medium flow channel 21, and the second branch channel 25 connects the first main channel 310 and the water inlet connector 40.
[0215] The connector body 105 also has a second main channel 320, which is connected to the second connecting pipe 32. The connector body 105 also has a third branch channel 26 and a fourth branch channel 27. The third branch channel 26 is connected to the second main channel 320 and the medium flow channel 21, and the fourth branch channel 27 is connected to the second main channel 320 and the water outlet connector 50.
[0216] Specifically, the number of the first branch channel 24, the second branch channel 25, the third branch channel 26, and the fourth branch channel 27 can all be one or more.
[0217] Both the first main channel 310 and the second main channel 320 can penetrate the corresponding connector body 105. Both the first branch channel 24 and the second branch channel 25 can be located within the connector body 105. The first main channel 310 is the inflow channel for the heat exchange medium. The heat exchange medium can flow from the inlet connector 40 to the second branch channel 25, then from the second branch channel 25 to the first main channel 310, then from the first main channel 310 to the medium flow channel 21, then from the medium flow channel 21 to the third branch channel 26, then from the third branch channel 26 to the second main channel 320, then from the second main channel 320 to the fourth branch channel 27, and finally from the fourth branch channel 27 to the outlet connector 50.
[0218] Thus, the main channel can be used to transport the heat exchange medium, allowing it to flow through the connecting pipes to the area where each collector 20 is located. The branch channels allow the heat exchange medium to flow into the medium flow channels 21 of the heat exchange body 103. The connector 104 provides inlet and outlet functions for the heat exchange medium, allowing the heat exchange medium to be filled into or discharged from the main channel to ensure the reliability of the heat exchange assembly 102.
[0219] In other embodiments, the collector 20 may have a third main channel and a fourth main channel, the third main channel being connected to the first connecting pipe 31 and the fourth main channel being connected to the second connecting pipe 32. The collector 20 may also have a fifth branch channel and a sixth branch channel, the fifth branch channel being connected to the third main channel and the medium flow channel 21, and the sixth branch channel being connected to the fourth main channel and the medium flow channel 21. Thus, when flowing through the heat exchange body 103 corresponding to the collector 20, the heat exchange medium can be reliably introduced or discharged along a path.
[0220] Referring to Figure 11, in some embodiments, the medium flow channel 21 includes a plurality of first chambers 210 and a plurality of second chambers 211, and the connector body 105 further includes a first flow collector 28 and a second flow collector 29. The first flow collector 28 connects the first flow branch channel 24 and the first chamber 210, and the second flow collector 29 connects the third flow branch channel 26 and the second chamber 211.
[0221] Specifically, the number of first chambers 210 can be two, three, four, or even more. The number of second chambers 211 can be two, three, four, or even more. The first chambers 210 and the second chambers 211 can be interconnected.
[0222] The heat exchange medium can flow from the first chamber 210 to the second chamber 211. The first collector 20 can be used to divert the heat exchange medium. The second collector 20 can be used to collect the heat exchange medium. Multiple channels can be provided between the first collector 20 and the first chamber 210. Multiple channels can be provided between the second collector 20 and the second chamber 211. When there is only one first diversion channel 24 and one third diversion channel 26, the first diversion channel 24 can be connected to a corresponding channel on the first collector 20. After the heat exchange medium flows into the first collector 20 from the first diversion channel 24, it can be transported to multiple first chambers 210 through multiple paths. In this way, the heat exchange medium can flow evenly into all parts of the heat exchange assembly 102, thereby reducing the probability of vortex dead zones after the heat exchange medium flows into the first chamber 210 and reducing local flow resistance.
[0223] Then, the heat exchange medium flows from the first chamber 210 to the second chamber 211. The heat exchange medium in the second chamber 211 can flow through multiple paths to the second collector 20, and then be collected by the second collector 20, thus flowing to the third branch channel 26. In this way, the heat exchange medium can flow evenly to all parts of the heat exchanger, thereby reducing the probability of vortex dead zones after the heat exchange medium flows into the second chamber 211 and reducing local flow resistance.
[0224] In this way, the collector 20 can have a flow-diverting function, which can reduce the probability of vortex dead zones after the heat exchange medium flows into the medium channel 21, reduce local flow resistance, and thus help optimize the flow path of the heat exchange medium in the medium channel 21, ensuring that the heat exchange medium can flow evenly through each chamber and improve the uniformity of heat exchange.
[0225] Referring to Figure 13, in some embodiments, the connector 30 includes a first connecting pipe 31 and a second connecting pipe 32. Both the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 are connected to the medium flow channel 21. The first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 are disposed on the same side of the battery cell 10. The first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 are spaced apart along a third direction z.
[0226] Thus, since the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 are located on the same side of the battery cell 10, and the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 are spaced apart along the third direction z, the connecting member 30 occupies less space within the battery device 100. This improves the space utilization within the battery device 100, thereby increasing the energy density of the battery device 100 for the same volume.
[0227] Referring to Figure 13, in some embodiments, along the third direction z, the central axis of the first connecting pipe 31 overlaps with the central axis of the second connecting pipe 32.
[0228] Specifically, when the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 have the same shape and size, their projections on the third direction z can completely overlap. When the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 have different shapes and sizes, their projections on the third direction z have an overlapping area.
[0229] Thus, on the third direction z, the projections of the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 have an overlapping area, which can further reduce the overall space occupied by the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32.
[0230] Referring to Figure 13, in some embodiments, the battery device 100 further includes a connection structure 60, one end of which is connected to the first connection tube 31, and the other end of which is connected to the second connection tube 32.
[0231] Specifically, the connecting structure 60 can be connected to the first connecting pipe 31 or the second connecting pipe 32 by means of threaded connection, welding, etc. The connecting structure 60 and the first connecting pipe 31, as well as the connecting structure 60 and the second connecting pipe 32, can also be manufactured by integral molding. For example, the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 can be integrally molded by injection molding, and the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 can share the same outer surface.
[0232] Thus, the connecting structure 60 enhances the overall stability of the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32, making it less prone to displacement or misalignment during use. Simultaneously, the connecting structure 60 allows the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 to form a single integrated structure, eliminating the need for separate assembly of the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32, thereby improving assembly efficiency.
[0233] Referring to Figure 13, in some embodiments, there are multiple connection structures 60, and the multiple connection structures 60 are spaced apart along the second direction x.
[0234] Specifically, the number of connecting structures 60 can be two, three, four, or even more. The connecting structures 60 can be connected to the first connecting pipe 31 or to multiple locations of the second connecting pipe 32.
[0235] The second direction x can be the extension direction of the first connecting pipe 31 or the second connecting pipe 32, or it can intersect with the aforementioned extension direction. When the second direction x is the extension direction of the first connecting pipe 31 or the second connecting pipe 32, multiple connecting pipes can be used for positioning and guidance during assembly, thereby preventing the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 from becoming misaligned.
[0236] Thus, multiple connection structures 60 can further enhance the overall stability of the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32. Furthermore, even if one of the connection structures 60 fails, the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 can still form a stable connection through the other connection structures 60.
[0237] Referring to Figure 13, in some embodiments, each of the connection structures 60 is disposed between two adjacent heat exchange components 102.
[0238] By placing the connecting structure 60 between the current collectors 20, the internal spatial layout of the battery device 100 can be optimized, the space occupied by the connecting structure 60 in the internal space of the battery device 100 can be reduced, and the space utilization rate can be improved.
[0239] Please refer to Figures 14, 15, and 16. Figure 14 is a schematic diagram of the assembly structure of the connecting structure 60, the first connecting pipe 31, and the second connecting pipe 32 provided in some embodiments of this application; Figure 15 is a schematic diagram of the assembly structure of the connecting structure 60, the first connecting pipe 31, and the second connecting pipe 32 provided in other embodiments of this application; and Figure 16 is a schematic diagram of the assembly structure of the connecting structure 60, the first connecting pipe 31, and the second connecting pipe 32 provided in yet another embodiment of this application. In some embodiments, the connecting structure 60 includes a connecting rib 61, a first collar 62, and a second collar 63. The first collar 62 is sleeved on the first connecting pipe 31, and the second collar 63 is sleeved on the second connecting pipe 32. The connecting rib 61 connects the first collar 62 and the second collar 63.
[0240] Specifically, the connecting rib 61 can be elongated. There can be one or more connecting ribs 61. Both the first ring 62 and the second ring 63 are ring-shaped structures. There can be one or more first rings 62 and second rings 63.
[0241] The inner surface of the first ring 62 can fit against the inner surface of the first connecting pipe 31. The inner surface of the second ring 63 can fit against the inner surface of the second connecting pipe 32. The connecting rib 61 can be connected to the outer surface of the first ring 62 and the outer surface of the second ring 63.
[0242] The connecting rib 61 and the first ring 62, as well as the connecting rib 61 and the second ring 63, can be manufactured separately and then connected by bonding, welding, or other methods. This reduces the overall manufacturing cost of the connecting rib 61. Alternatively, the connecting rib 61 and the first ring 62, as well as the connecting rib 61 and the second ring 63, can be integrally formed. This integrally formed connection structure 60 reduces potential weaknesses in the connected parts, resulting in higher structural strength and making it less prone to breakage during use.
[0243] Thus, by setting the first ring 62 and the second ring 63, the number of connection points between the connecting structure 60 and the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 increases, thereby improving the connection stability between the connecting structure 60 and the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32, making it less likely for connection failure to occur between the connecting structure 60 and the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32.
[0244] Please refer to Figures 14 and 17, where Figure 17 is a schematic diagram of the assembly structure of Figure 14 from another perspective. In some embodiments, the connecting rib 61 includes a first portion 610 and a second portion 611 connected at an angle to the first portion 610. The first portion 610 is connected to the first collar 62, and the second portion 611 is connected to the second collar 63.
[0245] Specifically, the angle between the first part 610 and the second part 611 can be an acute angle, a right angle, or an obtuse angle. For example, if the angle between the first part 610 and the second part 611 is a right angle, the first part 610 and the second part 611 can form an "L" shape. The first part 610 and the second part 611 can be manufactured separately and then connected by means of bonding, welding, etc. In this way, the overall manufacturing cost of the connecting rib 61 is lower. The first part 610 and the second part 611 can also be integrally formed. In this way, the integrally formed connecting rib 61 reduces the possible weaknesses in connecting the parts, so the connecting rib 61 has higher structural strength and is less prone to breakage during use.
[0246] Thus, since the first part 610 and the second part 611 are connected at an angle, the connecting rib 61 can be applied to the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 with different center distances, thereby improving the commonality of the connecting structure 60.
[0247] Please refer to Figures 15, 16, 18, and 19. Figure 18 is a schematic diagram of the assembly structure of Figure 15 from another perspective; Figure 19 is a schematic diagram of the assembly structure of Figure 16 from another perspective. In some embodiments, the connecting rib 61 includes a first connecting segment 612, a second connecting segment 613, and a third connecting segment 614. The first connecting segment 612 is connected to the first collar 62, the second connecting segment 613 is connected to the second collar 63, and the third connecting segment 614 is a ring-shaped structure with open ends. The first connecting segment 612 and the second connecting segment 613 are connected to opposite sides of the third connecting segment 614.
[0248] Specifically, the ring structure can be a circular ring, an elliptical ring, or other suitable shapes. The first connecting segment 612, the second connecting segment 613, and the third connecting segment 614 can be manufactured separately and then connected by bonding, welding, or other methods. This reduces the overall manufacturing cost of the connecting rib 61. Alternatively, the first connecting segment 612, the second connecting segment 613, and the third connecting segment 614 can be integrally formed. This integrally formed connecting rib 61 reduces potential weaknesses in the connection, resulting in higher structural strength and making it less prone to breakage during use.
[0249] Thus, the third connecting segment 614 of the annular structure can more evenly distribute the stress on the connecting rib 61, reduce local stress concentration, thereby improving the overall stability of the connecting rib 61 and thus improving the reliability of the connection between the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32. At the same time, the third connecting segment 614 can also absorb manufacturing tolerances, thereby reducing the probability of the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 undergoing group deformation or skewing.
[0250] Referring to Figures 15 and 18, in some embodiments, the third connecting segment 614 has a through hole 6140, the extension direction m of which is parallel to the length direction of the first connecting pipe 31.
[0251] Specifically, the via 6140 can be circular, elliptical, or other suitable shapes. By providing the via 6140, the third connecting section 614 is easily deformable, and even if there are manufacturing tolerances in the first connecting tube 31 and the second connecting tube 32, they can be compensated for by the deformation of the third connecting section 614.
[0252] Thus, the third connecting section 614 can absorb the manufacturing tolerances of the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 along the length direction of the first connecting pipe 31, thereby reducing the probability of the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 undergoing group deformation or skewing.
[0253] Please refer to Figures 16, 19, 20, and 21. Figure 20 is a schematic diagram of the assembly structure of the connection structure 60, the first connecting pipe 31, and the second connecting pipe 32 provided in some embodiments of this application; Figure 21 is a schematic diagram of the assembly structure of Figure 20 from another perspective. In some embodiments, the third connecting segment 614 has a through hole 6140, and the extending direction m of the through hole 6140 is perpendicular to the length direction of the first connecting pipe 31.
[0254] Thus, the third connecting section 614 can absorb the manufacturing tolerances of the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 along the length direction perpendicular to the first connecting pipe 31, thereby reducing the probability of the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 undergoing group deformation or skewing.
[0255] Please refer to Figures 16 and 19. Figure 20 is a schematic diagram of the assembly structure of the connecting structure 60, the first connecting pipe 31, and the second connecting pipe 32 provided in some embodiments of this application; Figure 21 is a schematic diagram of the assembly structure of Figure 20 from another perspective. In some embodiments, the axial dimension of the third connecting segment 614 is greater than the axial dimension of the first collar 62.
[0256] Thus, the third connecting segment 614 can swing along the extension direction m of the through hole 6140, thereby absorbing the manufacturing tolerances of the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 along the extension direction m of the through hole 6140, thereby reducing the probability of the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 undergoing group deformation or skewing.
[0257] Referring to Figures 20 and 21, in some embodiments, the axial dimension of the third connecting segment 614 is less than or equal to the axial dimension of the first collar 62.
[0258] Thus, the third connecting segment 614 can swing radially n along the through hole 6140, thereby absorbing the manufacturing tolerances of the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 along the radially n of the through hole 6140, thereby reducing the probability of the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 undergoing group deformation or skew.
[0259] In some embodiments, the bottom wall of the housing 101 is connected to the battery cell 10, the side wall of the housing 101 is spaced apart from the battery cell 10, and the minimum distance between the side wall of the housing 101 and the battery cell 10 is in the range of [5mm, 35mm].
[0260] Specifically, the battery cell 10 can be connected to the bottom wall of the housing 101 by means of bolts, welding, or bonding. The minimum distance between the side wall of the housing 101 and the battery cell 10 can be in the range of [5mm, 30mm], [10mm, 25mm], [15mm, 35mm], [30mm, 35mm], etc.
[0261] Because the heat exchange component 102 occupies less space within the housing 101, the volume of the battery cell 10 can be made larger. Within the aforementioned numerical range, the battery cell 10 is less likely to rub against the side wall of the housing 101 and can also have a larger volume, thereby achieving a higher energy density.
[0262] In one specific embodiment, the battery device 100 provided in this application includes a housing 101, a plurality of battery cells 10, and a heat exchange assembly 102. Both the battery cells 10 and the heat exchange assembly 102 are disposed within the housing 101. The heat exchange assembly 102 is configured to exchange heat with the battery cells 10.
[0263] The bottom wall of the housing 101 is connected to the battery cell 10, and the side wall of the housing 101 is spaced apart from the battery cell 10. The minimum distance between the side wall of the housing 101 and the battery cell 10 is [5mm, 35mm]. Referring to Figures 4 and 7, the housing 101 includes a side beam 1013. The side beam 1013 is located near one end of the heat exchange body 103 along its length. The side beam 1013 has two interfaces 1012 that communicate with the outside. One interface 1012 is used for the inflow of heat exchange medium, and the other interface 1012 is used for the outflow of heat exchange medium.
[0264] Referring to Figure 8, multiple battery cells 10 are arranged within the housing 101 along a first direction y. Each battery cell 10 includes a first wall 11 and a second wall 12. The first wall 11 and the second wall 12 are connected at an angle. The first wall 11 is the wall with the largest surface area among the battery cells 10. The first wall 11 is bonded to the heat exchange body 103. In the first direction y, the second walls 12 of two adjacent battery cells 10 are aligned.
[0265] Referring to Figure 5, the heat exchange assembly 102 includes a heat exchange body 103, a current collector 20, a connector 30, and a joint 104. The heat exchange body 103 has a media flow channel 21 inside and is disposed between adjacent battery cells 10. The current collector 20 is connected to the first end of one portion of the heat exchange body 103, and the inlet joint 40 and outlet joint 50 are both connected to the first end of another portion of the heat exchange body 103. The connector 30 connects multiple current collectors 20. At least one joint 104 is configured, connecting the connector 30, the heat exchange body 103, and the interface 1012.
[0266] Please refer to Figure 8. The heat exchange body 103 and the battery cell 10 are alternately arranged in the second direction x, which intersects with the first direction y.
[0267] Referring to Figures 11 and 13, the connector 30 includes a first connecting pipe 31 and a second connecting pipe 32. Both the first connecting pipe 31 and the second connecting pipe 32 are connected to the medium flow channel 21, and are disposed on the same side of the battery cell 10.
