Abstract

A cup for use in medical and healthcare environments, comprising a generally cylindrical upper body with an outwardly extending rim and sidewalls extending downwardly from the rim; the base portion transitions from the cylindrical body into a generally square or rounded- square footprint when viewed from below; the square base configuration is integrated with the cylindrical upper body, creating a blending form between the circular upper profile and the angular base shape; the sidewalls include a series of vertically extending surface contours or fluted ribs; the interior surface is concave and corresponds generally to the external base configuration.
