An extend load tray system

Abstract

The present invention discloses an extend load tray vehicle (10) incorporating a permanently integrated, motor-controlled cargo extension system designed to enhance loading capacity and operational efficiency in electric and other compatible vehicles. The system comprises a fixed load tray (2) secured to the vehicle chassis and an additional extendable load tray (3) mounted for linear movement along at least one guide rail (5) and supported by at least one load-distribution beam (4). A motor assembly (1) drives the extension and retraction of the additional load tray (3) in a controlled manner, with an electronic control unit (7) managing speed, positional accuracy, and safety interlocks. A locking mechanism (6) secures the tray in either retracted or extended positions to prevent unintended movement. The system is configured for variable-speed operation, obstruction detection, and compatibility with hydraulic or hybrid actuation for higher load capacities. By integrating the extension mechanism into the vehicle structure, the invention ensures stability, minimizes manual effort, and enables efficient, safe cargo handling.
