Description
1 / 4 CONSTRUCTIONAL ARRANGEMENT APPLIED IN A RETRACTABLE INTERFACE FOR A CENTRAL VACUUM SYSTEM Technological sector of the Utility Model
[001] The present invention pertains to the field of cleaning systems, specifically central vacuum systems for homes and apartments, and relates to a retractable central vacuum system interface that integrates a vacuum nozzle within the wall. State of the art
[002] Currently, central vacuum systems available on the market consist of pipes embedded in the walls, connected to a central vacuum cleaner, and have fixed connection points for use. In these systems, the hoses are wound and unwound manually to perform vacuuming, which can be inconvenient for the user.
[003] The main problem is the need to move a long hose through different parts of the residence, making the process less practical and ergonomic. In addition, the installation of fixed connection points is often complex, as it may require significant renovations to the wall structure, which increases costs and makes implementation difficult in already completed buildings.
[004] In order to find solutions that seek greater practicality and convenience, patent document US20100024152 was found, which represents the closest state of the art to the invention, and discloses a hose valve for central vacuum systems that use retractable hoses, capable of retracting inside the system's pipes. The valve has a locking mechanism composed of a compression cylinder and a deformable sleeve that can be compressed to fit the hose. This system allows for a secure seal around the retractable hose, preventing air leaks during use. The mechanism is adjustable, being able to alternate between an unlocked position, where the hose is free, and a locked position, where the sleeve compresses and seals the hose firmly. But something noticeable in this Petition 870240109274, dated 12 / 20 / 2024, p. 5 / 22 The main drawback, 2 / 4, is the considerable number of parts and the lack of simplification in the electrical system. Utility Model Updates
[005] The interface for central vacuum systems now revealed offers significant advantages in terms of practicality, efficiency and cost-effectiveness. One of the main benefits is the practicality and convenience for the user, since the suction points are retractable, allowing the nozzle to be hidden inside the wall when not in use. This eliminates the need to handle long hoses and provides better use of space, as well as improving the aesthetics of the environment.
[006] In economic terms, the solution can reduce installation and maintenance costs, since the design was developed to be easily integrated into different types of walls, with an adaptable housing that simplifies the installation process. Furthermore, the system is compatible with existing central vacuum systems on the market, eliminating the need to replace entire units. It is possible to change the central vacuum system from manufacturer to manufacturer, provided they meet minimum assembly criteria and technical requirements such as power and speed.
[007] Functionally, the interface improves cleaning efficiency by optimizing suction flow due to reduced pressure loss in the pipes. Preliminary studies and practical tests indicated that the system provides a better user experience, eliminating the effort of carrying long hoses throughout the residence. In addition, the system's efficiency is enhanced, ensuring more powerful and effective suction.
[008] This innovation also stands out for its ease of installation and maintenance, allowing the system to be implemented with fewer structural interventions, making it ideal for different residential or commercial configurations. Overall, the interface represents a significant advance for central vacuum systems, combining efficiency, convenience and economy in a modern and adaptable solution. Petition 870240109274, dated 12 / 20 / 2024, page 6 / 22 3 / 4 Description of the attached drawings
[009] In order for the present model to be fully understood and put into practice by any technician in this technological sector, it will be described in a clear, concise and sufficient manner, based on the attached drawings, which illustrate and support it, listed below: Figure 1 represents the exploded perspective view of the interface; Figure 2 represents the bottom view of the interface; Figure 3 represents a perspective view of the interface; Figure 4 represents the side view in section of the interface; Figure 5 represents a perspective view of the interface, highlighting the open front cover and the activated retraction mechanism; Figure 6 represents the front view of the interface, highlighting the method of wall mounting; Figure 7 shows a diagram of how to assemble the hoses at the installation points. Detailed description of the Utility Model
[010] As shown in Figure 1, the retractable interface that integrates a suction nozzle inside the wall comprises a fixing fairing (1), sealing rubber (2) associated with the actuator (3), lever assembly (4)(8), counter cover (5), cover (6), ON / OFF switch (7).
[011] According to Figures 2 to 4, the device has a lever (8) formed by two-part pieces (8.1)(8.2), covered by the cover (4) formed by two-part pieces (4.1)(4.2), which is screwed onto the housing (1) of the product by four 04mm x 20mm self-tapping screws (12). This lever (8) actuates (3) the sealing rubber (2), which when actuated, deforms the rubber (2) against its own housing (1) ensuring sealing at all installation points where it is installed in the facilities. Petition 870240109274, dated 12 / 20 / 2024, page 7 / 22 4 / 4
[012] The system works through an interface installed on the walls of the room. As shown in Figure 5, when opening the front cover (6) the suction nozzle is fully retractable. When the user wishes to clean, they activate the retraction mechanism (8) to extend the suction nozzle out of the wall and press the ON / OFF button to activate the central vacuum cleaner selected for the specific location. After use, the nozzle is retracted back into the wall, remaining hidden until the next use. The system can be integrated into various strategic points of the residence to ensure complete coverage of the room.
[013] To install the box on the wall, the rubber (2) must be kept installed between the box (1), the actuator (3) and the lever (8). With this mount, it is possible to replicate the hole pattern of the box (1) that will pass through the wall, fixing it at up to 6 points according to Figure 6.
[014] The suction nozzle can be any model available on the aftermarket that uses a corrugated hose. The assembly is finished by mounting the cover (6) and the counter cover (5) on the suction points, after fixing the housing to the wall. At this point, as illustrated in Figure 7, it is possible to run the hoses from all installation points to the central unit, along with the installation and preparation of the ON / OFF switches (7) and their respective electrical cables, responsible for operating the central vacuum cleaner.
[015] It is important to emphasize that the figures and descriptions provided are not intended to limit the ways in which the inventive concept now proposed can be implemented, but rather to illustrate and make understandable the conceptual innovations revealed in this solution. Thus, the descriptions and images should be interpreted in an illustrative and not limiting way, and there may be other equivalent or analogous ways of implementing the inventive concept now revealed that do not fall outside the scope of protection outlined in the proposed solution.
