Description

1 / 5 DISPOSITION APPLIED IN A PORTABLE INTERMEDIATE IN-LINE DEVICE FOR DIRECT FUELING OF VEHICLE TANK INTRODUCTION

[001] This Utility Model refers to an arrangement applied to a portable device used during the refueling of motor vehicles, intended to be installed between the fuel nozzle and the neck of the vehicle's tank, allowing volumetric verification of the fuel transferred to the tank by means of an in-line intermediate assembly.

[002] The proposed arrangement is aimed at use in real-world refueling conditions, where hose traction, vibration and continuous handling occur, requiring stable nozzle retention, tightness at mountable interfaces and maintenance of automatic nozzle shut-off by vacuum when the tank reaches the cut-off level. STATE OF THE ART

[003] Portable meters and intermediate sets are known for monitoring the volume dispensed, including solutions that position a meter between the nozzle and the tank, with different reading arrangements and fluid flow.

[004] Document CN2634439Y entitled “OIL FILLING METER FOR MOTOR VEHICLE” describes a portable meter applied to refueling with a measuring and reading structure associated with fuel flow. However, it does not clearly and comprehensively present an inlet with positive retention of the nozzle by means of a vehicle neck-type ring, nor a radial sealing arrangement by a ring housed in a channel positioned after threading in mountable interfaces, nor a configuration aimed at preserving automatic vacuum shutoff.

[005] Document CN2825607Y entitled “PORTABLE FUEL FILLING MEASURER” describes a portable meter with an opening and elastic joint, associated with a structure designed to reduce splashing and allow for reading. However, it does not describe the assembly as an in-line intermediary directly between the nozzle and neck with positive nozzle retention, post-thread sealing on mountable interfaces, and vent passage / clearance to ensure automatic nozzle shutoff. Petition 870260034621, dated 04 / 14 / 2026, p. 5 / 21 2 / 5

[006] Document CN2464587Y entitled “PORTABLE FUEL ADDING MEASURER FOR CAR” describes a portable meter associated with a nozzle and tubing to allow reading of the volume dispensed. However, it does not describe, in a single compact intermediate assembly, (i) nozzle retention by a neck-type ring, (ii) sealing by a post-threaded channel ring to prevent leakage along the thread, and (iii) ventilation / clearance configuration at the inlet to preserve vacuum shutoff.

[007] In practice, in mountable intermediate assemblies, occurrences of nozzle detachment due to traction / vibration, leakage in threaded connections and interference in the automatic nozzle shut-off persist when the inlet seals or blocks the pneumatic communication necessary for the nozzle mechanism. OBJECTIVE OF THE UTILITY MODEL

[008] The applied arrangement aims to provide a portable in-line intermediate assembly, installable between the nozzle and neck, with stable nozzle retention, tightness in threaded mountable interfaces and preservation of automatic nozzle shut-off by vacuum during tank filling. SUMMARY OF THE UTILITY MODEL

[009] The applied arrangement comprises an inlet connection with a receiving neck provided internally with a vehicle neck type retaining ring; mountable interfaces made by threaded unions; sealing rings housed in annular channels positioned axially after the threads, for radial compression sealing and blocking leakage by the thread; and a ventilation and / or annular clearance configuration at the inlet, maintaining pneumatic communication in the nozzle region to preserve automatic vacuum shutoff.

[010] A metering module is arranged in-line in the internal fuel passage path, preferably a digital meter with indicator and zeroing control, without such preference limiting the arrangement applied to the indication and power supply methods. Petition 870260034621, dated 04 / 14 / 2026, page 7 / 21 4 / 5

[013] More specifically, the claimed solution relates to an ARRANGEMENT APPLIED IN AN INTERMEDIATE PORTABLE IN-LINE DEVICE FOR DIRECT FUELING OF A VEHICLE TANK, consisting of an inlet connection (1), a metering module (2) and an outlet connection (3), mounted in such a way as to define a single internal path for fuel, so that the indicated volume corresponds to the volume that passes through the assembly during refueling. The inlet connection (1) of the portable device (D) defines a receiving neck configured to receive the outlet tube (4) of the refueling nozzle, guiding it and maintaining the coupling during use.Inside the receiving neck, a retaining ring (5) is housed in a recess (6), configured to cooperate with the external geometry of the nozzle outlet tube (4) and mechanically retain the tube when inserted, reducing the possibility of detachment during handling, traction, and vibration. The said retaining ring (5) is preferably resilient and elastically deformable during tube (4) insertion, returning to its condition of mechanical cooperation with the external surface of the tube (4) for axial retention during use. The metering module (2) is arranged in-line in the internal path and is configured to record the total volume that passes through the assembly during refueling. In a preferred embodiment, the metering module (2) is digital, with an indicator (7) and a zeroing command for successive measurements. The outlet connection (3) conducts the fuel to the tank neck, and the flexible section may be provided with a helical protection element (12).The connections between the inlet connection (1), the measuring module (2), and the outlet connection (3) are made by threaded unions (8, 9), allowing assembly and disassembly of the assembly. In each mountable interface, at least one sealing ring (10) is provided, housed in an annular channel (11) defined in one of the parts, the annular channel (11) being positioned axially after the threaded region, so that, during threading, the sealing ring (10) is radially compressed between cooperating surfaces, sealing the interface and preventing leakage along the thread, the said sealing ring (10) being preferably elastomeric and radially compressed between cooperating cylindrical surfaces. The preservation of the automatic vacuum nozzle shut-off is achieved by configuring the inlet connection (1) to maintain pneumatic communication. Petition 870260034621, dated 04 / 14 / 2026, page 8 / 21 5 / 5 in the nozzle tube insertion region, avoiding undue hermetic sealing at the inlet.

[014] For this purpose, the receiving neck includes at least one ventilation passage (13) and / or controlled annular clearance that maintains the pneumatic communication necessary for the nozzle mechanism, allowing automatic disarming when the tank reaches the cut-off level, the ventilation passage (13) and / or annular clearance being arranged so as to maintain pneumatic communication with the external environment. The ventilation passage (13) can be implemented by an internal longitudinal channel, lateral opening or controlled annular clearance in a selected region of the receiving neck, alone or in combination.

[015] In use, the nozzle outlet tube (4) is inserted into the receiving neck until the retaining ring (5) retains the nozzle, the outlet connection (3) is positioned on the tank neck, the reading of the metering module (2) is zeroed when applicable, and refueling is carried out by passing the fuel through the internal path, maintaining the tightness of the interfaces and the automatic shut-off of the nozzle by vacuum when the tank cut-off level is reached.
