Abstract

The invention discloses a foldable brazier easy to transport and store. The foldable brazier includes an annular base, a first ring extending upwardly from the annular base, and a second ring extending upwardly from the first ring. The foldable brazier is secured and folded using L-shaped guides and pins.

[0004] The inventor of the present invention is a person who is keen on outdoor activities and likes to go on cross-country travel by car.

[0005] One of the biggest problems he experienced while traveling was having to set up and break down the grill to nourish himself and then pack it away after using it. Often, when packing up the grill, he or his vehicle would get quite dirty in the process.

[0006] Another problem he experienced on his road trips was that when he was carrying the grill, it was an unstable structure that tended to collapse in his vehicle.

[0007] Another problem he experienced was that when he was hiking away from his vehicle, the temperatures were very low while camping and he was often forced to dig holes in the ground to create fire pots in the desolate areas to warm himself.

[0008] In view of the above problems, the inventors conceived the present invention, a lightweight, foldable fire pit that can also be used as an easily transportable outdoor cooking grill.

The foldable fire pit includes an annular base, a first ring extending upward from the annular base, and a second ring extending upward from the first ring. Claims

1. A foldable fire pit that is easy to transport, comprising: an annular base having a base and an outer wall extending upwardly from a periphery of the annular base, the outer wall of the annular base measuring at least three inches in height, at least three pins defined on the outer wall of the annular base, the at least three pins being equally spaced about a periphery of the outer wall of the annular base; a first ring extending upwardly from the annular base, the first ring having an outer wall measuring at least three inches in height, the first ring having a larger periphery than the outer wall of the annular base, the inner wall of the first ring defining at least three L-shaped guides, the outer wall of the first ring having at least three pins equally spaced about the periphery of the first ring, and each of the at least three L-shaped guides receiving each pin of the annular base; as well as a second ring extending upwardly from the first ring, the second ring having an outer wall measuring at least three inches in height, the second ring having a larger periphery than the outer wall of the first ring, the inner wall of the second ring defining at least three L-shaped guides, and each of the at least three L-shaped guides receiving each pin of the first ring.

2. The easily transportable foldable fire pit according to claim 1, wherein: The second ring defines at least one handle.

3. The easily transportable, collapsible fire pit of claim 2, comprising an elevated ash pan removably attached to the annular base and a screen tray positioned on the elevated ash pan.

4. The easily transportable, foldable fire pit of claim 3, wherein: The annular base also defines a plurality of airflow holes around the periphery of the annular base.

5. The easily transportable foldable fire pit according to claim 4, wherein: The annular base, the plurality of rings and the cover are all made of a rigid fireproof material.
